This box set contains all five Stockroom Syndrome books for your reading pleasure. The Stockroom Syndrome series has a 1 dove rating with the exception of book 3, His Possession, which has a 3 dove rating.
Seth Brown can’t complain too much about working as a stocker and assistant toy doctor at Turner’s Toys, a high-end toy store in a wealthy neighborhood. Sure, the pay could be better–and he could stand if the customers yelled less, but at least he’s normally out of sight, doing inventory or fixing toys. That’s especially a relief during the holiday season, when tempers are high and stress is in the air.
Seth is in the middle of one such toy repair when he meets Clark, a handsome, wealthy older man who seems to like that Seth is polite, good with his hands, and eager to please.
When Clark asks Seth for a little after-hours toy assistance, Seth agrees, unable to help how he’s drawn to the man’s commanding presence.
But Clark appears to have something else that he wants from Seth…
Reread #2 (I think): the ending was delicious. This whole thing is and was delicious. I can’t stand it.
Yes. All the yes. I am SUCH a sucker for the soft pleasure (with teasing and “oh you’ll be good for me, won’t you?” and “does that feel good?” 🫠🫠🫠🫠) dommy shit, and this is just unbelievable. I read Torn and there was mention of Turner’s Toys and their toy hospital and I was like “OH please tell me there’s a book” and low and behold, our own Seth works there.
If DD ever decided to write DDlb / age play, I would simply pass away.
Wonderful wonderful wonderful. Love how the relationship developed. Loved how they interacted. I find myself dipping into this for partial reread when I don’t have time to read a whole,e story but need some good feels.
Also, D. Dove is so amazing at indicating key details (e.g., backstory) without actually having to go into detail - like the almost throwaway line about makeup. A couple of really minor typos (like grabbing his boot and coats) but nothing worth dinging this story any stars.
I wouldn’t mind an explanation of why the two characters who are father and son have different last names, but again, not a big enough deal to drop the rating below 5 stars. [NOTE: that was not a ‘cest spoiler, MCs are not related.]
LOVED IT!! This is the sweetest daddy boy book without the "daddy" and "boy" terms. Clark is the absolute sweetest with Seth (the young and inexperienced man who is barely making ends meet). Clark is a very well off older gentleman who is always strong and in control, but is so careful and sweet with his new boy. This was super hot but also so sweet!!
I love this story. It’s precious. I first read it as pieces before it was a box set and I’m very pleased it’s a set now. All my favorite quotes and bookmarks in one place! This is a great low angst, medium heat story.
I’m not sure why I was a little wary going into these, they were not what I expected and I ended up really enjoying them. Would definitely read more from this author.
