About the author

Beverley spent 8 years teaching English as a Foreign Language to International Military Students in Britannia Royal Naval College, the Royal Navy’s premier officer training establishment in the UK. She says that in the whole 8 years there was never a dull moment and many of her wonderful experiences at the College were not only memorable but were most definitely 'the stuff of fiction.' Her debut novel An Officer And A Gentleman Wanted is very loosely based on her adventures at the College.
Beverley particularly enjoys writing books that make people laugh and currently she has four series of Romantic Comedies, both contemporary and historical, as well as a humorous cosy mystery series under her belt.
She lives with her husband in an apartment overlooking the sea on the beautiful English Riviera. Between them they have 3 adult children and two gorgeous grandchildren plus 4 Romanian rescue dogs of indeterminate breed called Florence, Trixie, Lizzie and Aggie.
Until recently, they also had an adorable 'Chichon" named Dotty who was the inspiration for Dotty in The Shackleford Diaries.

Very entertaining, captivating characters

A Shackleford Victory: (The Shackleford Diaries Book 6) Beverley Watts

I enjoyed reading this book as much as the preceding ones. A laugh a minute and in this one two new characters. The Duke with the collie dog who falls in love with his lady before he knows himself. As many goings on with the Admiral, as many scrapes he gets into trying to play slouch’ with his Batman Jimmy. I really urge you just to try the first book, you will be hooked and soon, like me be going for the final book no 7. Thank you for your gift of writing amazing books Beverley Watts 💕

Get a takeaway you won’t have time to cook. this book demands full time attention!

I’ve just finished book 6 and can’t wait to start the last book in the series, though I feel disappointed at the thought I’m getting towards the end of this magnificent story of the Shacklefords family.
Fantastic read I recommend this book to any avid reader, secure in the knowledge of this choice.
Well done Beverley Watts.

What fun!

The characters are delightful. The unlikely social prominence of the main male characters goes down smoothly with the lighthearted, quick moving plot lines. The machinations of the Admiral and long-suffering Jimmy are particularly engaging. The fact that the female leads are self-conscious and not physically "perfect" makes the story relatable. Altogether a wonderful reading experience I was sorry to have end.

Another Great Shakleford Romp

Always hilarious, nail biting and well worth reading. Just wanted to pop back and read the Shakleford sisters books to get the answers, but resisted. So glad Teddy got her HEA.

Great read

Funny and enjoyable book with the shackleford gang plus teddy and newbie Seb. The Admiral ensures that chaos ensues and there's a satisfying resolution and romance. Great addition to the series 😍

Amazing!

e and Teddy and ask the rest of the old characters. The admiral still so funny! Romance, comedy brilliant can't wait for the next book!

[Penny Wright]

Great!

The introduction to a new character in the Shackleford Diaries, Teddy, is intriguing. Love that she is six feet of junoesque loveliness, but is a strong, confident woman in a non-traditional role. LOL, having Teddy have the characteristics of the Admiral is just hilarious!

[Laura Harris]

such a fun mystery and romance

I loved reading this book and listening to the audiobook. This was so much fun. It was a mystery, with multiple villains. Who was the 8th Duke? How they determined who he was. Jimmy and the Admiral were hysterical. Now I want to read the whole Shackleford series. In my second reading I’ve read every book prior with the exception of the admirals mysteries. I can say I’ve really have a stronger understanding of the Shackleford world and I love it!
