An amazing boxset that will be very…very…very…hard to put down once you start.
Searching for Rescue - This read will hit you right in the gut, sad, rage, heartache and heartbreak, abuse, depression, PTSD, disappointment, depression, alcoholism, and may cause triggers for some….BUT…..it was all handled with care and sensitivity while still getting into the minds of the characters. It also had, love, care, patience, understanding, compassion, hope and a second chance at love.
I wanted to dislike Zak, the bad boy with ALOT of issues but as his story unfolded, I wanted to hold and comfort the broken man. Luckily he had Anna, who didn’t give up on him and of course Ranger, a dog with his own PTSD who forms a bond with Zak.
A read with a very strong heroine, who isn’t a pushover, and a broken hero who needs a reason to live. The story flowed beautifully with descriptions that were spot on, with suspense, twists and turns, surprises and amazing characters. GREAT START to a new series and I can’t wait for the next one.
Searching for Risk - Donovan, the boy/man from the wrong side of the tracks and a bad boy with quite a reputation which started in his teen years, wants a woman who is his opposite. Now after 15 years an old cold case that involved his girlfriend back then, who disappeared all those years ago presumed dead, resurfaces. He joined the marines back then, proved himself, got blown up a couple of times and is now medically discharged and still suffering the consequences of his injuries. Sasha is the town vet and has her sights set on Ash, the town’s sheriff, but one night with Donovan has her rethinking her carefully constructed checklist and plan she follows meticulously. She’s the good girl, doesn’t get into trouble but she sees beneath the facade Donovan puts out and knows he’s a great man and it doesn’t hurt that he sets her blood on fire….as well as other things. When it’s gets heated between them, someone doesn’t want them to be happy and will do whatever it takes to ruin them….
WOW WOW WOW….the twists and turns, surprises, suspense, heat….and I’m not just talking about the forest fire….the dirty talking, the vulnerabilities, long buried truths and of course Donovan’s angel to his devil….sigh and swoon. The story flowed beautifully without skipping a beat and I couldn’t get enough of these two….KUDOS to the author!!!!

Ash is the Sheriff in the small town and is cleaning up messes all around him after the last Sheriff who was corrupt as can be. His pile is huge with unsolved cases and cases that need a second look, his plate is full and over flowing trying to be the best he can be to bring order once more to his town. Rose is the owner of the bar in town, she has her past dealings with Ash when he was a deputy, which led to an animosity towards him that has never died. When she gets attacked, Ash is her saviour and becomes personally invested in her safety. The line between hate and love is very thin between these two and before they can move forward, they both have to face their pasts and forgive themselves and each other before their future is ripped away.
Holy smokes!!!! Could not nor did I want to put this down until the last page and the author keeps us on our toes, throwing in curve balls and surprises trying to figure out why anyone would attack Rose, who is behind it and why. The sparks between them were fireworks and the steam…ahem the steam….as well as the amazing characters all around, a peek at past couples we all love and descriptions that are spot on.

I very much enjoyed these books.
This first book started a bit stilted, but smoothed out rapidly. The story lines of each are good - strong mysteries, the damsel in danger element well done, and the heros are all realistically flawed. Too often authors make the FMCs obnoxious and the MMCs super hero alphas. This author made the characters much more 3 dimensional than that. All the characters had flaws and strengths, and the pairs were developed to match the strengths to the opposing flaw. This made for a very well done romance arc.
I will definitely look for more books in this series / from this author.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Take three incredible action adventures filled with troubled people struggling with their past lives and working towards a better future partnered with wounded and abused military k9s and wrapped around a mystery and a potential romantic interest, and you get a thoroughly gripping, nonstop action-packed story that you can't put down. Don't miss this one! Great Read!!!!!

action, adventure & love for the broken
These books covered 3 former best friends and 2 that went into the military and came back not whole, and the third that went into law enforcement. May not have been expected out of 3 troublemakers in their teens but they all found ways to get over some of their past, solve some crimes and get healed a bit with a dog and a woman.

Hold on to your seat
Just when you think you know....... Suspense, intrigue, romance. A little for everyone. Polished writing, believable plot and characters. I didn't want to set it down.

Top notch! Three books about strong but broken man and the women who save them. Add in some rescue K-9 service dogs and you have some great stories.

Loved the first book in this box set. The second and third were excellent suspenseful novels, but the sex seemed to take precedence.
