Jenny and Brute's story was totally yummy. I loved the intensity and steam that flowed so smoothly throughout this romance. I could definitely sympathize with Jenny's feelings and fears, but I was also mega jealous because Brute was wicked hot!

Alien Romance With A Lot Of..... Impact
Gleeful Goblin Review: Something I love about sci-fi and especially about sci-fi romances is the opportunity to explore assumptions about the ways that love and connection can be varied. In this series/this book I really enjoyed the glimpse into what family bonds can look like apart from physical intimacy for humans and having those be separate. Then by contrast, having intense connection and intimacy be the norm for the aliens! Totally a fun way to turn expectations on its ear which I think was carried off beautifully in this scene taking place at a speakeasy with our FMC: "It suddenly hits me that love songs aren’t popular on the Jansonna, and I’m now starting to wonder if it has something to do with everyone taking hormone suppression shots. If we don’t crave romance and physical affection—the indecent act of copulation—it makes sense that love songs wouldn’t be popular. Well, maybe I’m wrong about romance. Couples still get married on the worldship, and surely some of them must care about one another, though I remind myself the marriages are typically for the sake of tradition or to form alliances between families. A woman is also more likely to get approved for artificial insemination if she’s married and has a partner to help raise the child. I could see myself raising a child with Angelo. He’s patient, kind, and has a good sense of humor. I think about my parents. They’d seemed affectionate, often hugging one another, though they never shared a bed and I never once saw them kiss. But I heard them say ‘I love you’ rather frequently, and they got along well enough. As heartbroken as Mom was after Dad died, she must’ve truly loved him. I also think about Ellie and Nathan. Ellie once confided to me that she cared deeply about Nathan, though she never used the word love. Perhaps if she did love him, she was afraid to tell me." The political intrigue and tensions are taught throughout the book which makes for an interesting subplot that I enjoyed quite a lot.
In terms of the romance between MCs it definitely is impacted by FMC being totally ignorant and basically disconnected from her own body. I found it interesting that, in a way, the author shows FMC reconnection to her body through both spicy times as well as sp@nkings/impact play. Because of FMC's ignorance on that front the story isn't directly presented as a darker scifi S&M style romance but that's how it reads to me. While that's not typically my jam the story is well written, the world building is super interesting, and I enjoyed the characters. 5/5 Stars.

Jenny worries for her sisters safety while also dealing with dominant, brooding, and irresistible Officer Brute. Brute wants Jenny and he will not let anything get in the way of the bond he feels between him and Jenny, even if it puts the fragile alliance in jeopardy. Tensions are rising on the world ship as rebellions rise and the ships begin their journey to their new planet.

Jenny: She doesn’t want an alien husband, she just wants her sister’s safety assured and to continue on with her life. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have a lot of choice in the matter as she cannot escape Brute… nor can she escape her attraction to him.
Brute: The name says it all. He is a Brute. He is *heavy handed* and obsessive, with his entire focus on securing Jenny as his permanent mate.

My Thoughts - For Brute it was love at first sight. For Jenny… it was not that. There were definitely some dub-con scenes that could be triggering, but it all worked out in the end?
Aside from that, this was a very by-the-numbers alien forbidden romance. The bond that formed between Jenny and Brute created extra tension and it was cool to see more human politics play out on the world ship. However, it was pretty bland overall. Brute had the potential semi-interesting character given his backstory, but we never actually explore that backstory enough to care about it. Jenny read like she was a puppet. I have no idea who Jenny “Is” or what is important to her. She was a blank canvas and, therefore, a bore.

Great Series!
The next book in the series doesn’t disappoint! Security Officer Brute is sent to the worldship, the Jansonna, by Admiral Tornn to keep and eye on Captain Warren and make sure the families of the first 30 women given to the Darrvasonian’s aren’t being harassed and are safe. He is to oversee all things on the ship and to see if he can’t find out who the rebels are that tried to introduce a virus to the Haxxal that could have killed everyone on board. Doesn’t seem like he will have too much time on his hands to get into trouble! He is all business, until he meets Jenny, the sister of Admiral Tornn’s mate. How is he going to do his job of keeping her and her mother safe if he can’t keep his hands to himself. She is his mate but is forbidden! She is not yet 19 and is not on the list of the next 100 females scheduled to be turned over.
Jenny is very concerned about her mother. She has been very depressed since her sister Ellie was given to the Darrvasonians by her Uncle, Captain Warren. Having the Darrvasonians on board to make repairs just makes thing worse. But when one particular male, Brute, starts paying her too much attention she is horrified. No way will she ever accept one of “them” as her mate, or husband.
But when the rebel group, The Saviors, attack the Haxxal, things become very dangerous. Can Brute do his job of discovering all the rebels left on the ship and keep Jenny safe. Complicated just became more complicated and dangerous! Excellent book!.

I would have enjoyed this if it weren't for the overuse of certain terms and the infantilization of the FMC. Shes juvenile. "Barely 18", didnt grow pubes or underarm hair and is a spineless coward. If she didnt speak, I would have assumed she was some kind of sheep or other docile barn animal.
This would have been crazy hot if she wasn't resisting everything thrown her way and constantly preaching about propriety. She's not modest. Shes mentally underdeveloped.

Wow this book had it all and I loved it and yes there are some trigger moments that are not for the faint hearted and BDSM, passion, dark undertones, political intrigue, burning desires, pleasure and love and this is Jenny and Brute’s story. Jenny is a human female on The Jansonna where her Uncle is Captain Warren who has made a deal with the Darvasson Admiral Tornn who is now the husband of her sister Ellie and all Jenny wants is to make sure her sister is safe but when the Security Officer called Brute shows an interest in her she is scarred and doesn’t want a husband at all. Security Officer Brute has been sent to the Jansonna to watch over the human females that have been chosen to be with there warriors and to make sure they are safe especially his admirals mate mother and sister Jenny but most of all the Captain Warren. But when he sees Jenny he instantly knows she is his mate but she isn’t 19 yeet and not on the next list of females for husbands but when another males try’s to get close to her he decides to finally claim her as his own. How does it all work out in the end get this book too find out. Definitely trigger warnings in this book.

If you read Tornn and Radakk’s story you already know about the Jansonna and the women on board that were given to the Darrvason’s. And we pretty much got a glimpse of Brute’s story through those two books. Now we get to find out what was happening directly on the Jansonna since that is where Brute was sent. Brute is there to watch over CPT Warren. Why did they try to infect them? Jenny is Ellie’s sister and isn’t about to be mates to those aliens. But there is a strong pull between her and Brute. Jenny tries to fight it, but Brute isn’t about to let her go. I have to say that the heartbond is happening for the humans faster than the Darrvason even realized. The chemistry is instant and hot. I also was so surprised that some of the humans were still rebelling. They are given help to find a new home. I’m glad that Ellie and Jenny’s mom, Margo finds happiness too.

Whenever Jenny disobeyed Brute, the punishment often involved some spanking, leather strap, bottle of lube, and some 🍑 plug . There's no such thing as gentleness with Brute in sexually manner. He IS dominant, and I don't think Jenny ever considered any punishment as punishment, considering how much she was looking forward to being punished 🤭.

The third book presents the fate of Jenny, who is the sister of Ellie, known to us from the first part of the series. Even though the girl is an adult, she is below the minimum age to be selected as the bride of a Darvasson male. However, when she catches Brute's attention, this small detail will not prevent him from claiming her as his own. Jenny is definitely not ready for this to happen in her life. As he needs to dominate his little female, we get to read about a lot of spanking and other sexual acts. With an always getting stronger bond between the two. The male possessiveness and protectiveness is combined with a lot of love and caring, which makes the female submission more understandable.
While there is a lot of rebellion going on on the human spaceship with strong retaliations. As a third book in a series that makes a continuing story, it is logical to read the other two first. But this one stands on itself as a dark romance, too.

A hot and steamy story. Brute is a security officer on the ship Haxxal and he is asked by his cousin and admiral to go to the human ship Jansonna, to spy on the captain and his command team. Jenny's sister and other women were given to the Darrasons as payment for the other ships assistance. when Brute smells Jenny, he knows that she is the human for him. Now he just has to convince her, while fighting the rebels.

I loved this story and series. And I want loads more from both. Brute is hard working and honourable, trying to recover from the sins of his father. Jenny is a sweet, nice and protective girl. I loved all their interactions, some of which are hot and sexy, others are sweet. They are good together. This is a full and interesting story with lots of twists and turns. The reader will not be bored reading it. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this story and I recommend it. I want Margo's story and I would love to know what happens when they land on the planet. Please.

I loved this story by Sue Lyndon. I love reading anything by her. This latest series is amazing. Brute has been tasked by his cousin to monitoring things on the Worldship while the Darvasson to fix it. He also has been asked to look after Jenny and her mother. Brute doesn't realize that she is his mate. Jenny is doing everything she can to survive. She isn't so sure about the Darvasson especially Brute. There are some things happening on the ship. Will they get their happily ever after?

As the publisher's note says, this book has many dominant scenes with punishment and intimate scenes. Brute is the Darvasson alien male who expects Jenny to obey his every command. She is afraid of him at first but her physical and mental attraction to him makes her not able to resist him in the end. She knows he will protect her and her mother from all the danger on the worldship. The ending was expected in some ways when Brute claims Jenny but not expected in other ways as it ends with the claiming in Brute's suite. Looking forward to the next book in this series!

I have been waiting for this book forever, while it is a different plot then the other two it no less amazing. I love the story between Jenny and Brute. And the its still as steamy and dominant as the others. I love how it's both a slow burn and smutty at the same time. I can't wait for another book about these aliens! Get ready for steam and pulls on your heart strings.

Could not finish
I could not finish this book. The main male character was too much like his name, A brute. The spanking was bad enough but then him talking about whipping her and he had a "gift" containing a whip and a plug? I was done. Maybe this is exciting for some people but not me. Nothing sexy about that. His physical grabbing her and grabbing her around the neck. No way. This book should have a warning about S&M. I am done.ugh.

It’s a shame as I loved the first 2 books but this just didn’t work.
He’s awful to her, forces her to be his mate (even with her repeatedly saying no).
Very little actually happens in the book, most of which you know from the other books in the series. The ending is ridiculously rushed and there is a lot missing from the book for example - his back story. You get hints but it’s all just brushed under the carpet and forgotten about.

Good book and story. Book centers around Brute, an alien warrior from the Darvaasen race and Ellie's little sister. Ellie is mated to Admiral Tornn. As soon as Brute sees her he's instantly attracted to her. He starts following her around and escorts her everywhere. Jenny or as Brute calls her, his little female, doesn't want to mate with him. But she loves everything he does to her body.

Absolutely stunning read that will keep you at the edge of your seat for the entire read! Romance and intrigue are woven exceptionally well in this latest addition to Sue Lyndon’s Worldship Brides series. Jenny and Brute have the perfect chemistry. These characters are rich and vibrant. This is the story of Jenny and Brute. These two have an instant attraction to each other as their story moves quickly. The passion, elements of bdsm, and the back drop of the story kept me reading. This is a suspenseful, charming, intriguing, romantic book. The characters are funny and charismatic. The action scenes are fraught with lots of good interactions, maybe some violent deaths. Any way it goes, an excellent book. Loved it.
