Actions have consequences, and the best intentions can be misinterpreted. The king of Roftlen must face the reality of his past, his kingdom’s history, and unanswered hurts in one of his darkest hours. With the threat of war looming, he must bring people together in a desperate attempt to heal old wounds. The most damaging wounds, however, are those closest to home.

She enjoys digital art, taking walks, watching crows, and reading books by her fellow indie authors. Part of me doesn't want to read the next book because then it will be over. Part of me wants to put it off so I don't have to leave this world. Another part of me wants to know how it all ends. I've enjoyed these characters and this world.
This series has become such a companion to me. In this book, the original characters have grown older, matured, and now face new challenges in life -- in marriage, in guiding their children, and in leading the others around them. And the younger generation is learning lessons too. I love the family dynamic among the friends, especially the unique relationship between King Eloekim and Lady Amorhi. Amorhi's story has encouraged me so much, from the time she struggled with anxiety, to the personal hardships she experiences in this book. She remains wise and trusting.
