On this highway fear rides shotgun.
In the quiet solitude of the western desert, a lone farmer befriends a stray dog that wanders onto his porch. When news of his dying father reaches him, the farmer, accompanied by his furry companion, embarks on a perilous road trip through the ominous desert. Despite warnings from an old lover about the dangers ahead, he dismisses the caution, convinced that their bond can conquer anything. As they traverse the desolate landscapes, eerie occurrences and dark secrets unfold, testing the limits of their courage. Will their unbreakable bond be enough to overcome the malevolent forces lurking in the shadows, or will the desert reveal a horror beyond imagination? The answer lies in the haunting expanse of the unforgiving desert.

Tales from Beyond the Closet
These darkly humorous tales celebrate LGBTQIA+ culture, address societal terrors, while blending the whimsy of children's horror with adult themes and unforgivable carnage.

Each story introduces an inclusive and highly relatable cast of characters, along with imaginative plotlines that occasionally tip into the realm of the absurd. From haunted coffee tables to a menacing seven-year-old and ravenous plants, every tale is saturated with blood, gore, and sly social commentary. While often infused with humor, these books consistently induce nightmares, ensuring that they will linger in your thoughts well into the night and perhaps prompt a call to your therapist the next morning.

Dalton Primeaux decided back in 2019 to add a little blood and gore to his once predominately fashion-focused writing repertoire with his first novelette, Daddy, Why Are You Biting Me?, which reached #3 on Amazon’s best sellers list in LGBT fiction in September of 2019. The story was re-released in 2020. His LGBTQIA+ horror collection Don't Be a Wuss! kicked off with Wood released in December 2020 and Whipped in June 2021.
