Beautiful story!

I just finished Things She Borrowed last night. It was the perfect read for Christmas time. Over the past couple of weeks, I have looked forward to ending each day by exploring the lives of Allie, Ryan & Sarah. I’m a breast cancer survivor (10 years!) who received a blood transfusion during chemo, and the mother of an only child daughter who found my person when she was 7, right before my diagnosis. The way Hailey described the emotions involved in each aspect of the story made me feel like she had reached into my mind and heart and plucked them for use on her pages. Thank you, Hailey, for sharing such a beautiful, heartfelt story of the things that give our lives meaning and the precious blessings of love and forgiveness.

I’m struggling to find the words. This story is full of all the emotions. You’ll feel anger, sadness, happiness and deep unconditional love. I pre-ordered this book and it was sitting on my never ending shelf of books to be read with no start date in sight. My sister however read it first and then her bestfriend. They both told me to pick it up immediately. I don’t regret that choice. As a first time novelist, Hailey did an unreal job at telling a beautiful story. This is one of those stories I’ll come back to over and over again. I can’t wait to see what she writes next. Also, don’t be alarmed when you don’t get the meaning of the title at first. It’ll get ya.

Wow! Once I started this book I was completely entranced and could not put it down. I used up every free moment to dive back into the story and Ryan and Allie.
The book has the perfect amount of romance, very tasteful closed door intimate scenes, and a rich storyline that goes far beyond the typical romance novel.
I am so excited to read more from this author!

Such an amazing book. It drew me in from the very beginning, and was impossible to put down. I felt like I really got to know each individual character. Their descriptions were so amazing, and made you love each one of them. You feel every emotion with this book, even tears. Will recommend to anyone I talk to.

Wonderful character development and love story spanning the decades

The author really took her time with character development and the details of a love story spanning the decades. It’s filled with bad choices, forgiveness, reconciliation and heartache. Mild language and spiciness. I do recommend!

Such a beautiful love story! The story flows smoothly and quickly. I found I blew through the chapters without even noticing how much I was reading. The characters are lovable, and you can't help but want to know what happens next. Very well written. If you need a good cry, this book will get you there! I highly recommend this story to everyone.
