I was outside the city when I felt hte pain of stitch in my ribs. Mount Calamon was still a distant peak, and I swore, silently, wishing that it was permitted to Necropolitans to pray on our own behalves.

A tale that en-nobles the profession of those who prepare the dead for their journey to the after life. It is full of secrets and ceremonies, as usual, meant for the living. There are tales, within tales, within tales. All fill the reader with a sense of wonder or happiness. The writing has that distinct Neil Gaiman flair. Parts are melancholy and beautiful all at the same time. I did not expect to enjoy this one so much, but it is worth reading!

There's are amazing cameos by The Endless in this story. Did you spot them? Click on this to find out where they come in.

Very happy to come back to the mainstream plots surrounding Dream and his family members. Listened to the audio-experience Audible Act 3 which encompasses Volumes 7-8 (Brief Lives and Worlds' End)[1], the Sandman Special #1, and other short stories from Vertigo: Winter's Edge #1 & #3 and Vertigo Preview #1.

Looking forward to more backstories and "day in the lives" for other family members such as Desire, and Despair as we've seen with Dream and Death.

There are tales, within tales, that are also within tales. We go four layers deep into the tale-ception in this issue. One of the better ones, and we do get to see some of the Endless too.
