A global thrill ride as Justin and Carrie team with their UK and Chinese counterparts to prevent an international incident and thwart the assassination of the Russian president. As expected with an Ethan Jones novel, the action is non-stop, with secrets and double-crosses around every corner. Who really is an ally and who’s just an enemy in disguise? And can Justin and Carrie apprehend the right assassin before it’s too late? This book kept me anxiously flipping pages to see what would happen next and how it would end. I can’t wait to see where my favorite Canadian operatives end up next.
I received a complimentary copy of this book.

Covert Assassin is another awesome, fast paced, action packed spy thriller with a very well developed storyline and keeps pushing and testing Justin Hall and Carrie O'Connor’s limits at every turn that kept me on the edge of my seat from the first page.

Loved that Carrie is on the same mission to find a missing British agent and discover a plot to assassinate the Russian President while working with yang Ng - A Chinese Intelligence operative.

Justin acknowledges that he can trust Carrie and she always has his back as he has hers but that’s as far as trust goes. The constant plot twists and turns kept me intrigued and surprised and I refused to put the book down.

I highly recommend this book and can read Covert Assassin without reading the previous ones, I highly recommend you read them in order to get a complete picture of the path Justin and Carrie have been on.
While I haven't read all of Mr Jones books, I sure have enjoyed the ones I've read and Covert Assassin is no exception and well worth the read.

Thank you Mr Jones for another intriguing and exciting read and looking forward to the next book in the Justin Hall, Carrie O'Connor or Javin Pierce book.

Covert operatives of the Canadian Intelligence Service (CIS) Justin Hall and his partner, Carrie O’Conner, are tracking down a missing British Special Air Service (SAS) after the SAS contacted CIS. The book begins with Justin meeting a young man in Ireland who claims to have vague information about an un-named foreign dignitary’s visit to London that he obtained from a member of the Irish Republican Army (IRA). The information supposedly came from a member of the MI5, the domestic security intelligence agency of the United Kingdom. MI5 is similar to America’s FBI. Oh, and the Chinese are involved. Wow!

While walking on a street, a car stops and Ying Ng, a Chinese intelligence operative with MSS (Chinese intelligence), tells him her boss want to meet him and discuss her cousin who is going to visit London “with evil intentions.” Ying’s boss tells Justin the cousin is a former MSS operator is going to be responsible for assassinating the visiting Russian president.

What’s even more interesting is how current Jones takes his story. He writes Ying saying, “The US president’s Twitter outbursts have become so common, predictable, and pathetic that few people pay attention to them.”
Where have you seen any reference to President Trump in any other current novel? It’s at least a rare account.

Follow Justin and Carrie as they discover the truth about the upcoming assassination by a “covert assassin” and their attempts to stop it.

It’s an exciting ride for sure!

Covert Assassin
Justin Hall #13
By Ethan Jones

Everyone's, well mine at least, favorite intelligence agent is back with a new mission. CIS is assisting in trying to locate a missing British agent- one whose disappearance is highly suspicious. But each lead takes Justin Hall and Carrie O'Connor into a more intricate web of misdirection, omission, and half-truths.

This mission will find Justin and Carrie working with different international intelligence agencies whose help may be more hindrance than aid. And when a potential threat to a foreign dignitary is uncovered time and conflicting intelligence is working against them.

Covert Assassin by Author Ethan Jones is the latest Justin Hall thriller and what a mess of undercutting by foreign intelligence agencies! With a threat that could upend the current political balance in not only the region but the world, Justin and Carrie have their work cut out for them. The most difficult part of this assignment staying alive long enough to determine who to trust.

If you like intense no let up action this is one book you don't want to miss out on. And if you haven't read any of the previous Justin Hall books that won't be a problem as it easy to get into these books from the opening line and not feel as though you are missing something vital to the story. Highly recommended and word of warning you'll want to stay up late to find out just what comes next!

The best Justin Hall spy thriller action adventure yet, couldn't put the book down!
This story continues around Justin Hall the CIS (Canadian Intelligence Service) a special covert operative and his partner Carrie. It starts with a informant of Justin’s being killed in Dublin in Ireland, but not before he advise gives just enough information to set the pace.
It then quickly moves to the MI6 headquarters situated in Vauxhall London where Justin learns of a possible assassination of the Russian President visiting London as well as hunting a missing SAS who may or may not be missing but dead; but is also indicated or maybe involved in the probable assassination? There also comes to light a possible Chinese connection? Justin is ordered to work with MI6 Agent Mandy Coole and things soon go from bad to worse with more killings and attempted killings, car chases which leads the story onto Iraq.
Justin crosses the Iraqi border and bullets, killings and double crosses eventually lead Justin to the truth. But can he prevent the assignation of the Russian President and stay alive?
A really brilliant fast auctioned packed story with lots of twists and turns which keeps you reading until the last page.
“Another great read the best yet!.?”

Justin and Carrie may have bitten off more than they thought with this mission. Sent to find a rogue operative, they find themselves in a mission that has more twists and turns than even they might be able to handle. A Chinese partner they are forced to partner with, an assassination plot against the Russian president. But with no one believing Justin when he brings them the information, Justin is in a race across the globe to stop a war between the Kremlin, the Queen and the People’s Republic. Will he be able to get there in time? With more twists and turns, ups and downs, this nail biting thriller will keep you on the edge of your seat until it reaches its climatic end. Don’t miss this book #13 in the Justin Hall series. If you like Flynn, Thor Baldacci, Cooper, Ludlum or other writers of this type, you will love Ethan Jones.

The British Special Air Service has reached out to the Canadian Intelligence Service (CIS) for assistance in finding a missing SAS operative. Covert operative Justin Hall and partner, Carrie O’Connor, have already visited several countries following the information trail. Shortly after his arrival in Dublin, Justin is shot at, and he’s then involved in a knife and gun attack in London, both during meetings with assets. Various agencies seem keen to collaborate, but what is their motivation and can he trust any of them? Against Justin’s wishes, his boss assigns a new member to the team - his girlfriend, Karolin, who will be following up leads to help them!

Whether you are new to Justin Hall, or have read other books in the series, you’ll realise Justin has some difficulty following orders! I highly recommend this latest thriller by Ethan Jones.

Covert Assassin. Ethan Jones

Justin Hall and his partner Carrie are Canadian Intelligence Service clandestine agents. They have received intelligence from agents from the Chinese embassy that their will be an assassination attempt on the Russian presidents life while in London. Is the information correct? Or better yet, are the Chinese correct in their intelligence or are they the assassin's.... This is a gripping, highly suspenseful non stop and explosive thriller from page one. I highly recommend!

This is what, the 13th in this series. The characters have developed enormously since #1. Nice to see Justin and Carrie back after a break, (not knocking Javin!!). Good to see that the author recognises these developments and is re-writing book #1. Hey, I keep asking, but how about Justin and Javin together? They both work for CIS after all!!

The Covert Assassin (Justin Hall #13) is another fast-paced thriller. With each book he writes, Ethan Jones continues to polish his craft, perhaps the author’s best work to date with this character. Another very good read. As always I look forward to Jones' next book.

I’ve read and loved almost every book in the Justin Hall series and Ethan Jones has hit the target (forgive the pun!) every time. He delivers fast paced action featuring interesting characters wrapped up in complex and addictive plots. Covert Assassin is as good as anything featured in the series and, as I’ve said before and will likely keep saying, as good as anything in the genre. This book has it all from globe spanning story line to action scenes that make the pages fly by. Justin Hall, and his CIS partner Carrie O’Connor, are tasked with finding out what happened with a British operative who has disappeared leaving a dead partner in his wake. Then Chinese officials through a plot to kill the Russian president into the mix. The story weaves this way and that and is peppered with the author's trademark skill for action. It’s another book of top quality storytelling combined with excellent delivery.

Jason and Carrie are in London after receiving information about an upcoming attack on the Russian president who will be coming to London in a few weeks time. The alleged assassin is suspected to be a rogue Chinese operative. The pair are assigned to work with a Chinese agent to find and stop the rogue agent. But all is not as it seems to be. It seems their Chinese partner has other plans and it is up to Justin and Carrie to stop the attack and to deal with their supposed partner and to stay alive themselves.

Must read!!

Oh! What a surprising ending!
Justin and Carrie are definitely two people that you want on your side. With them, you can conquer anything!
Being with them as they suffer devastating losses and then when they are on top of the world makes you feel so scared for them yet so proud.
To read about the different cultures and languages that they deal with can be so exciting! Off I go to the next segment of their travels and accomplishments.
