Excellent prequel to the Alien Clutch series, 40 pages. Perma-freebie on Smashwords!

6 dove rating and features endgame mindbreak. This is a noncon mindbreak series, even if it ends up being loving/soft noncon.

After getting boarded and kidnapped by Space Pirates, he's subjected to medical experiment noncon, to see if he's viable to hold eggs.

Highlights (I love Dove's imaginative details):

• The two who walked in, though, weren’t a part of the pirate crew that had captured him. Instead, it was a pair of aliens of a species Lee had never seen before. They were huge–broad and easily seven feet tall, with dark blue scaled skin and coiling tails. They had ears on the tops of their head like a cat would, and hair on their heads that was styled elaborately. Their clothing was in a dark color palette, neatly designed and fitting, and from what Lee could tell, they weren’t carrying any obvious weapons. They looked elegant. Peaceful, even.

• His hand stroked at his still soft purple cock, beginning to wake it up. It was different from a Human cock, not tapered at all, but the same width from the base to the tip. The end was a blunter shape too, divoted inward like a crater would be, and in the center was a small hole where a viscous purple substance oozed from. When the Dresht stroked downward and pulled at the skin, that little hole was pulled more open and more wetness flowed out.

I'm not normally into mpreg but this novella was enjoyable in spite of it. Maybe because it involves aliens and their anatomy!

The spice was hot and even the sweet non-con is something I'm not used to... so yep. Would recommend.

I can explain

I can't explain. I don't know why I like this, I don't know why it worked, I don't know why I bought the other two books but I did and I have to deal with that. This is sweet noncon and even as I write that I realize it's probably one of the biggest oxymorons of all time. Lee is clearly not having a good time and, whether he wants them to or not, the aliens do care about him. It's not for everyone but it works. Please don't judge me too harshly for liking this.

This was just a fun spicy read. I do enjoy a romance between humans and an alien. I am not a fan of the cover and wish this was a little longer. But, I really like the plot.

This book has a 6 Dove rating (IYKYK), so definitely read the trigger warnings before diving in.

Lee is a space courier doing his best to dig himself out of crushing debt and a generally bleak situation. Things go spectacularly wrong when he’s attacked by pirates, captured, and sold to the Dresht species.

What follows is where this story really hooks you. Lee quickly discovers that the Dresht have very specific plans for him, and none of them are good. Learning what they intend turns an already grim situation into something far more unsettling.

This was an excellent introduction to the Alien Clutch universe. Dark, tense, and compelling, it sets the tone perfectly for what promises to be an intense series. I’m really looking forward to continuing.

нарешті ж оце руки дійшли до приквельної новелетки... і шо я можу сказати — це було більш tame, ніж я очікувала. планувала її прочитати після подій другої книжки, аби здуріти від контрасту, але тепер розумію, що цього б не сталося. також рада, що не натрапила на неї до знайомства з основною серією. все ж, going into it blind було найліпшим рішенням, бо хоч це й була доволі хороша експозиція (all things considered), але мені було МАЛО.

p.s. оті вайби непорозуміння й resignation все ще delicious

A human long haul ship encounters pirates in a rarely travelled section of space. Instead of killing the professionally accomplished but naive pilot Lee, the invading pirates sell him to a mysterious insular alien race who use humans as barely sentient incubators and sex slaves. Seemingly intentional obliviousness about humanity in general leads Lee's the two affluent captures to physically, psychologically, sexually torture the him. This continues in the second book. His constantly foiled plans for escape help maintain a sense of compelling anxiety in this size gap dead doves story. It's a very short and tremendously fucked up read.

This not Romance but was marketed in the sci-fi romance category for Stuff Your Kindle Day on romancebookworms.com.

This is erotica, which is fine, but Romance genre *requires* an HEA. Period. Mis-marketing on a website that caters to Romance readers because you want the Romance eyeballs without adhering to the genre requirements is underhanded. Tricking Romance readers into reading your books will not net you more readers. Besides they include an erotica category so place your product accordingly.

This book also did not have a CW for rape of the main character.

Good Start to Story 👽💘

This is a really short, quick read. I was able to get this story from the stuff your kindle day and decided to read this story first.
This book was written by a new to me author and I decided to download the next book in the series to find out what happens next with Lee (MMC) one of 3.

This is a quick read, it is a prequel, not a lot of story and pretty much pure smut.

Warning this is all Non Con, so if that’s not your cup of tea then BE WARNED. This is the start to a 3 book series. It’s a simple story line but engaging enough that I want to read more.

Captured wastes absolutely no time throwing its protagonist into escalating desperation, alien captivity, and a premise dripping with dread, vulnerability, and deeply unsettling fascination. Lee begins as an overworked courier barely holding his life together, which makes his abrupt descent into piracy, sale, and alien ownership hit even harder. The Dresht are introduced through mystery, imbalance, and terrifying certainty. Lee knows almost nothing about them, while they seem convinced they understand exactly what he is and what purpose he is meant to serve. That asymmetry creates immediate psychological tension and gives the story a claustrophobic emotional atmosphere from the beginning.

Lee is an effective protagonist because his exhaustion, fear, resistance, and desperate instinct for survival feel tangible. The premise leans heavily into loss of control, bodily autonomy, and cultural alienness, with the Dresht framework operating according to rules that are deeply incompatible with Lee’s understanding of himself and his situation. What makes Captured compelling is not comfort or safety but the emotional collision between human panic and alien certainty. Themes of ownership, biological purpose, coercion, dependency, and survival dominate the story’s emotional landscape, creating a dark sci-fi romance setup that feels intensely focused on imbalance and psychological pressure.

D. Dove’s writing embraces the dark speculative framework without softening its more disturbing implications. The worldbuilding around the Dresht carries an ominous sense of inevitability, while the emotional tension centers on a protagonist caught inside a system he never consented to enter. Captured functions effectively as an unsettling opening act, laying the groundwork for a story steeped in alien possessiveness, captivity dynamics, and emotionally complicated survival.

Freebie on SW. Great prequel to the series. I actually read this and the rest time ago but I wanted to leave a review. It's very intriguing and it delivered the dark erotica it pretends to. Really good one.
