"Don't call me Cupcake!"

Pregnant and on the run from a scheming ex, heiress Sydney Forrest came to Weaver, Wyoming, to take a man break…only to be confronted with the most exasperating of the breed. Derek Clay was condescending, rude—and so scrumptious she didn't know whether she should set down roots or run for the hills.

If Sydney thought she could lord her wealth over the locals and treat Derek like the hired help, she had another think coming. But he realized pretty quickly that there was a real woman—with real needs—lurking beneath Sydney's polished exterior. She'd made it clear she didn't want to be called "cupcake"—but would she object if Derek ultimately called her… "wife"?

I loved this book so much! A lot of emotions in this book. Sydeny moved to Weaver determined to prove it that she could make it, and that she didn’t need anyone’s help. When she first met Derek he thought she was a snob, and never thought she would make it long in the small rural town. She didn’t like him either.

Derek realized quickly that Sydeny was stubborn, and that she would never ask for help. She would rather go without heat, than to pick up the phone and admit defeat. He just had to help that stubborn lady rather she wanted his help or not.

I loved the relationship and banter between the two. They reminded me of my husband and I. We fight, but argue, but love each other with a fierce passion. That’s how Sydeny and Derek were. I think they enjoyed arguing, just to see who would win.
If you want a really sweet, heartwarming romance, you should read this book!

Really good book. Sydney and Derek struck sparks off each other from the beginning. She thought he was rude and condescending and he thought she was a snob. Sydney had come to Weaver to try to change her life. She wanted to stand on her own feet and make a good life for her baby. She didn't want Derek bossing her around and trying to take care of her. Derek couldn't help comparing Sydney to his ex-fiancee. It took awhile, but he finally started to realize that they were nothing alike. When they finally stopped sniping at each other, they discovered that they had a lot in common. I loved the way Sydney became part of the community so quickly. It was great to see how everyone supported her at the end.

4 stars. Sydney Forrest has come to Weaver where her brother now lives determined to rid herself of the spoiled heiress label and make it on her own for herself and her unborn child. Derek Clay promises Jake Forrest who is now married to his cousin that he will watch out for his sister while he is out of town. From their first meeting sparks fly and the two certainly don't see eye to eye. This was a fun book to read where the chemistry is obvious between the two but they certainly know how to rub each other up the wrong way. A good read and I totally loved the ending to this book. recommended read

I liked this story. I did find that Derek was a bit of an ass to start off with. Would have been nice to see that him actually acknowledge/internalize that his issues was not so much the pregnancy history but his experience with rich women that was making him behave poorly. Enjoyed for the most part.

Great chemistry between both characters. They always called each other names and annoyed each other which created a great romance as they fell in love. I didn't like Sydney's past decisions or life that she had led. I also didn't like how her past lovers were brought up often though not in detail. But, I was really able to enjoy the main story about how two supposedly different people fall in love.

Really enjoyed Sydney and Derek's sniping at each other but I liked it better at the end. The chemistry ff this couple is fun. They keep the storyline lively. A good read. Because at the end they found a middle ground and Sydney became a part of her town and Derek found he wanted to be a part of her and her babies life.
