But heed this warning, and heed it well—your mate’s life is linked with the very male she is destined to kill.”

With an iron collar wrapped around her throat, Sage is cut off from her powers and forced to live in Clearwell Castle, home to her enemy—the ruthless king whose bloodthirsty rule has led to the deaths of thousands of Cursed. Sage knows that if she is going to stop the persecution of the children of the Old Gods, she has to end the king’s reign. Permanently.

But when she meets the devastatingly handsome heir to the Edenvale throne, Prince Aurelius, she finds another reason to stay at the castle. Who is this mysterious male that bears no resemblance to the king and what is it about him that makes him feel so . . . familiar?

As Sage begins to unlock the memories from her past, she discovers that Von hid more from her than just his identity—he hid what he took from her. Everything that she thought she knew about the seductive, dark, apple-loving immortal is brought into question, and there is only one way to find out the truth—she needs to remember it all.

Like a deadly brushfire on a windy day, the past is coming. Will it forge Sage into someone stronger, or will it consume her?

. . . that is, if the lovers of her past don’t devour her first.

Between Sun and Moon is the darker, steamier sequel to Amazon Top 100 Best Seller Between Life and Death .

I can’t guys. There’s too much slang in this fantasy book that’s completely taking away from the story.

“I yeeted it into the pool”

“I’d punt his ass back to the other realm”

I just can’t. This is a romantic fantasy book. Not urban fantasy, not comedic, language like this doesn’t belong here.

Jaclyn did it again 🤯

Ughhhh It was just simply AMAZING!!!
This time, I took my time reading it! well it took me 4 days which isn’t that long but BSAM was just so good that I could’ve easily finished it in less than a day if I’d wanted to. But, I wanted to savor it 😌

I loved that we finally got a lot of answers from Sage & Von’s past!! It had me constantly wondering who was good & who was evil in the story. I sometimes felt like I was loosing my mind, in a good way ahaha!! It also left me with more questions and I CANT WAIT to know what happens next !!

My romantic self do wish that Von & sage had a little bit more time together in this book 🥺🩷but I do understand why they didn’t with everything that happened.

Butttt, the tiny moments that we did get 🥹🥵ughhh I love them so much !!!

The ending left me completely speechless 😱the wait for the next book is gonna be pure torture 🫠

Thank you so much Jaclyn for the ARC🥹

The very first few chapters of the book have the potential to be somewhat interesting, with a FMC who seems to think before making brash decisions

Surface level—Aurelius was a dick for neutering me from my Curses, something that was as essential as a limb. Deeper down—I understood why he felt the collar was necessary.

In regards to Aurelius, in line with how she didn’t instantly turn on Von last book (as well as how turning on him in this iteration takes multiple memories). At the same time the prologue seemed to set up a good theme for the story

"It takes a great deal of selfdiscipline to see something all the way through, from beginning to end. We are not born with self-discipline. It’s something we must choose for ourselves"

And....I have no fucking clue where all of this was the rest of the book.

The Worldbuilding made negative sense. There's no place that actually matters, the magic has the bare bones of a magic system ("muh, elements") and somehow the exectution of it is even worse with character constantly refusing to use their powers in any intelligent way, for example the fleeing prisoners wait to camp before creating fires when they can easily carry then and not die during the march, or how nobody even has the thought of creating a bridge over the big river rather than raising the currents, for some reason. Even when fighting most of them just conjure elemental weapons to use them as...normal weapons, without even using the elements's specific attribuites (one would think clashing a metal sword with a fire one would lead to it melting, or when facing a water one, it could easily be trapped inside it, since...you know...water causes a bit more friction than air, and why the fuck are the air Cursed not absolutely unstopable with weapons you litterally cannot block? The escapees could have taken over the castle rather than run). Lastly the idea that Von can just bring people back to "life" by making them reapers, or the existence of the Spirit Realm for that matter, makes every death an afterthought because the character can be just brought back.

I've seen snails faster that this plot. It takes about two thirds of the book for something to actually happen and then it a sequence of: she escapes, but then she doesn't, then she escapes again, then the finale happens. Von sleeps this one out and no other plotline is happening.

Characters are cardboard cut outs lacking anything that makes their story worth telling. There's this huge emphasys put on how important it was for Sage to live her life as a human before coming into her godhood, mainly pushed by Ezra, and...it doesn't matter. All of Sage's choices in this book are related to a certain memory she recovered of her past life. Even if you want to argue that Aurelius's behavior is what puts her off of him, we still get the memories where she already ditched him in her past life so....what was the point Ezra? Just have her remember who she was, she's the exact same person. Her human life has not changed her one bit, she likes humans just like before, she wants to live in a cottage just like before, she likes Von because of a bond that always pulled her towards him, just like before, she's initially charmed by Aurelius just like before and turns out he's still an asshole just like before. What, pray tell, did she learn from being a human, that she was previously lacking? I would almost say i enjoyed her humor, but it was always "i would say this funny thing, but i'm not going to". Which is so lame. Go learn from the Jasad Heir what's it like to have a funny protagonist (and not just snide sasy remarks by the way)

By the way, when you're fucking two people at the same time and they don't want you to be with the outher dude, that's called cheating. Expecially when one is your husband and one is your fated mate. This is never properly addressed.

Aurelius is at first understandably evil, then he's like "sike, you thought, I am actually just a deranged lunatic" and flies through the checkmarks of the "being evil" list with absolutely no explaination for what made him so.

However, Von has essentially the same attitude towards Sage as him and of course is never judged for it. I mean, he was about to burn the entirety of existence down, which is less than what Aurelius does (by the way, nice touch that the only two goddesses who can see the future do not know that he has the power to destroy existence). Sure, he says "oh you know, i'm evil, darling, you don't want me" and such, but honestly at this point if the "morally gray shadow daddy" character actually wants the heroine to run away from him, he should say something like "I actually really care about you and offer you a tranquil and quite life where i will respect all of your wishes". They will avoid you like the pest.

Arkyn is maybe the best of the bunch...kinda? He has an off screen character arc. He's thinks this time it will be better so he reunites Aurelius with his wife, as well as "killing" Von (absolute chad by the way, Aurelius with all his armies couldn’t do shit and he's supposed to be the strongest, my man didn’t even lift a finger) then helps Sage regain her memories, then after he understands what actually was going on redeems himself by relinquishing the bond with Von and helping saving Sage. Unfortunately most of this is a one line observation or throwaway line.

Ezra has a funny skit with the rocks. And she's dead wrong about Sage needing to live her human life. None of the other characters are worth a mention, they are just "the brother", "the friend", "the other friend" and have nothing worth my time going on. The triangle with Kaleb, Fallon and Ryker had a bit of potential, but it was dropped straight up.

As I said, there seemed to be a theme of self discipline being set up, but nothing else hinges on it so...???

3.5 ⭐️

I did enjoy this more than the first book. But parts felt like it was going so slow (talking about dresses and castle layouts ect) and we didn’t even get one memory flashback until 34% in I felt like that was too long. Also Von just wasn’t in this. For a romantasy series the romance is severely lacking. Sage was an idiot yet again…everything with Aurelius felt so predictable and it was just like ahhhh open your eyes!!! Please stop being so naive gah I wanted to throttle her
Love Ezra and I loved who she turned out to be.
Overall it has potential but two books in and I’m still not in love with the couple.
I feel like this author tells us about the romance but doesn’t show us? I don’t feel it at all. Usually I’ll highlight something cute to quote and I didn’t highlight anything…
Also one of my favorite things about any romance is banter and we just don’t get it 😭

Jaclyn Kot's Between Sun and Moon takes everything you love about Between Life and Death and magnifies it. The tension, the spice, the stakes -- they are all higher in this book and it makes for one hell of a dark ride. The book picks up exactly where book one left off, but it takes some twists and turns before you hit that final ending in BSaM.

As Sage slowly begins to learn more about who she is, she is left to put the pieces together. This all leads to some shocking revelations and questionable choices (IYKYK). As the reader you are left to handle a barrage of emotions as you get both Sage's and Von's POVs of both past and present. I was hooked from start to finish. There is one character I would love to st*b -- wait until you meet them.

Jaclyn slowly pulls back the curtain of new pieces of the world and the lore in this book that have you questioning where the next book will take you. The characters are also starting to reveal a bit more about themselves -- and it leads to some interesting questions I do not have the answers to. I am hoping to see the return of a few characters in the next book.

Overall, BSaM delivers a wild ride of emotion, deceit, betrayal, and spice. It is a page-turner that will have you gasping, yelling, and in a mad dash race to get to the end of the book. I cannot wait for the next installment to see what Jaclyn has in store for us.

Tropes:
-fated mates
-touch her and die
-burn the world for her
-elemental magic
-shadow powers
-barrier between kingdoms/realms
-found family
-missing memories

I enjoyed the first book, but I must admit, this one was much better. This book had some unique elements that made the story stand out to me. The story was engaging and absolutely addicting. I read the entire book in about a day and a half. There are several things in play that I am looking forward to reading more about in the next book.

First of all, I am such a sucker for female characters who learn to stand up for themselves and others, despite being seemingly weaker than their oppressors. Sage really struggles as her memories slowly start returning to her, and I can absolutely understand why she doesn’t know what to think or who to trust. Her partial memories, out of context, become very misleading. Despite succumbing to some trickery, Sage is not oblivious to her environment and begins to realize that not everything is as it seems.

Von- I really enjoy reading his perspective and learning more about his past. I would have liked even more of him in this book, but I just know that he is going to storm in and punish some people in the next book and I AM HERE FOR IT.

Aurelius- WOW. I haven’t despised a character this much since Raven Kennedy’s rendition of King Midas. Honestly, this guy is a real bastard. He deserves whatever horrid ending is surely coming his way.

Favorite quotes:

““Because to the rest of the world, I am the villain, but to you, and you alone, I no longer wish to be.”

“Yes, he had been born of the sun, and it was his light that sustained life, from the plants to the trees to all living things. But I was born of the moon. It was my gravity that held the realms in place. My caress that kept the tides moving. And for him to rise, I had to bow. Not anymore. I was done bowing.”

“There will come a day when I will claim you as my bride, and on that day, all Three Realms will address you as queen.”

“Please, do not leave me again, Little Goddess. It was a plea. A guttural one. A desperate one. A familiar one.”

Between Sun And Moon is the sequel to Between Life And Death. If you’ve been following me for a while now, you know I literally can’t shut up about this series.

The end of Between Life And Death ended on the world’s greatest cliff hanger… so consider yourself lucky, because if you haven’t read this series yet… you can get these two books read one right after the other and not SUFFER… like the rest of us did 😂

The majority of this story takes place with Sage…. Figuring out the origin of… a lot of things…. And it is a literal. Roller coaster.

I had a blast getting to know Sage more. She’s crass and funny and stubborn and every minute spent with her is so much fun.

I felt a lot of pain when it came to getting to know Von more. But as painful as it was… that additional knowledge just rounded out how absolutely obsessed I am with him.

A lot of this book takes place in a castle with royalty, secrets, and politics. It’s definitely a very different tune from book 1 and I found that very refreshing!

There were a significant amount of moments in this story that had me… blushing.

Von is morally grey… or even darker honestly and I ate that up.

A larger cast of characters come into play including some more gods and they’re all hot. All of them. Delicious.

Any time Von speaks to Sage I literally feel like I am intruding on a moment they should have alone it’s so raw and intense I’m like… sorry I’m just interrupting here with my popcorn and googly eyes… please proceed forget I’m even here.

I’m not going to lie…. The situation that Sage and Von find themselves in in book 2 hurts. My
Heart hurts. I’m stressed out. I’m full of longing. It’s a rough time…. But it’s gooood.

This book is layered. This book has so much going on that needs resolution and it really is the perfect complement to the first book. The pacing is fantastic.

Von is angry in this book, unsettled, and all he wants… is his girl… and he’ll do ANYTHING. To get to her.

I loved every side character in this book. I have so many questions. I need more from every character and perspective.

There’s kind of a jealousy situation going on and a win her back story arch that literally makes me drool but I’m also upset at the same time. And there’s some traumatic situations too for sure. I just felt like my heart was beating fast the entire time and I couldn’t put the book down. When one chapter ended I was like well I have to know what happens next. And I just kept going.

Anytime Von says Little Goddess… I pass out.

This book truly compliments book 1 so well. It’s more rich, more layered, and more intense than ever before. And I truly recommend this book to anyone who loves fantasy. Who loves romance. And who loves a morally grey delicious behemoth of a man.

And lastly… for the first time. The coolest experience I’ve ever had as a reader has come to life. I have been mentioned in the acknowledgements of this book. What an absolute honor. Not only as a reader. But as a friend. This is incredibly gracious and kind. And one of the best experiences there is in being a reader and being in this community…. Is making those important connections with strangers who ultimately become friends. Jaclyn, you are one hell of an author… and to be apart of your journey and success… even just a little bit. It’s truly… a gift.

Between Sun and Moon by Jaclyn Kot is the second book in the Between Life and Death series. This is a dark romantic fantasy about a Cursed woman, Sage, in a world where the Cursed must be Cleansed if they are discovered. Tropes include touch her and die, shadow daddy, fated mates, gods & goddesses, and hidden identities. Please check the content warnings before reading as there are some dark topics/themes in this book.

The Lovely: I loved learning about Sage’s backstory from before her current life. It’s dark, it’s gritty and you’re constantly questioning who’s actually good and who’s evil. This book kept twisting and turning in such a delightful way. The story does go back and forth between the present time and Sage’s memories but the switches are pretty seamless.

Also Lovely: I love Sage, even maybe more than I did in book one. She’s even more of a bad-ass and fiery, and she doesn’t back down from what she knows needs to happen.

The Mundane: I did see the very final twist coming so that wasn’t too shocking for me. There was one thing I expected that didn’t happen (trying to keep this spoiler free), which was a bit of a let down.

Rating: 4.5/5 Stars 3/5 Flames

Recommendation: I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. I’m not sure I’m honestly going to make it to the release of book three! It’s going to be a tense wait and I have no clue how the issue at the end is going to get resolved. I love these characters and the thought of anything bad happening to them fills me with angst. If you like romantasy books with a darker undertone but heavy on the characters and their relationships, you would like this.

STOP WITH THE ANALOGIES. STOP WITH THE ANALOGIES.
STOP WITH THE ANALOGIES. STOP WITH THE ANALOGIES.

Good lord.

"I’d probably say the same thing to someone who still had a full set of chompers." WHAT IS THIS LINE. WHY. WHY. WHY. WHY. WHY.

I'm starting to wonder if I read the same book as everyone else. This was... not good. Remove the first useless 30% (if you skip it I promise you don't miss anything important), 999 of the 1,000 analogies, and then you have a somewhat palatable book. I enjoyed the first one so much and had such high hopes for this and it fell so far short of the bar it's not in the same stratosphere.

Sage was this big badass in the first book and the second she learns she's a goddesss she starts acting like a petty child. I cannot stand stupid stupid stupid petty behavior like this and I had to convince myself not to DNF for that alone.

In this explosive sequel, Sage must navigate a foreign place and confront elements of a life unknown to her. Her connection with Von is strained and a new mysterious figure further complicates matters. While there is a strange familiarity and comfort, perhaps there is something even deeper.

Sinister revelations loom on the horizon as echoes of once was fight to break free. With the past slowly resurfacing, what lies in Sage’s future?

The world expands even more and we learn about the other Gods and Demi-Gods and the inner workings of the courts and realms. Kot does a phenomenal job of setting all your emotions on fire- I was on the edge of my seat, reveling and screaming with each reveal and cackling with each quip.

These characters have etched themselves into my heart and I’m so invested in their fates. Praying to the Old and New Gods to protect my MCs at all costs!

Filled with dark secrets and devastating twists and turns, Between Sun and Moon weaves a riveting and addictive tale that leaves you desperate for more!

I received a free e-ARC and am leaving my voluntary and honest review. Huge thanks to Jaclyn Kot and Book of Matches Media for the opportunity!

I loved this so much more than the first book.
I feel so much more invested in the characters and the plot. I do hope we will see more development and power from the FMC in the next book as I found myself often frustrated with her.

That cliffhanger has me gasping for book 3.

The storyline is unique and interesting in concept, but it's a long, slow drawn out journey, good for those who like the world and character building. There is a lot of pain and trauma in this book. I'm hoping the next one gives us some much needed closure.

Where should I start? The bag of potatoes? The incessantly descriptions of things that don’t really matter nor we need to read about over and over again (dresses? Really?) The editing? This could’ve been a shorter book if it didn’t repeat things over and over again. And what was that with Aurelious and Von?! Bro BRUH. Ugh I’m just here for Von at this point. Also the FMC can’t be this thick 😖 ughhhhhhh bruh I cannot deal.

I AM FERAL FOR THIS BOOK.

Thanks to the author and BOMM for the copy. This is an honest review.

I deeply enjoyed the first book in the series – Between Life and Death – and after the events at the end of that one, I wasn’t certain what the author was going to do. I obviously trusted her to continue the story in an interesting way, but wow – this exceeded my every expectation. EVERY expectation. This is a deep exploration of Sage’s past and her coming to terms with the relationships that she had with Von and Aurelius. But despite this being about relationships, this is a book where our girl just shines. She grows as a person and a character and the two sides of herself accept one another. It was beautifully written and I can honestly say that Sage is an incredible character and possibly my favorite of all time. Every step along the way is difficult and she just keeps going. I adore the secondary characters and I love Von EVEN MORE.

I continue to love the wonderful world-building and I really like how the Cursed plotline was continued. Again, we’re trying to avoid spoilers here, but I think it was deeply satisfying to see the part that Sage played. This book strives to continue the story in a way that opens up the world to becing far more complex than it previously seemed. It is expanding in an incredibly interesting way and I really cannot wait to see where things go in the next one. I also just want to say that I have never hated the villain more (the REAL one). I’m so eager to get my hands on the next book, but I am also content to wait and let this one sit with me for a while. I am enjoying it like a fine wine.

Jaclyn Kot has cemented herself as one of my top authors in the romantasy genre and I hope that others will discover her soon because these books are everything. This deserves more than five stars.

Well..that was a wild ride (in the best way). If you haven’t read Between Life & Death, I highly recommend reading that and then checking out the second book, Between Sun & Moon, that releases February 23rd! But please do heed trigger warnings.. there’s some dark topics in the books.
It’s a bit spicer than the first!

Tropes:
🖤Morally Black Phantom Daddy
❤️Stabby Hero FMC
🖤Gods with Vampire Tendencies
❤️Villain gets the girl
🖤Touch her and 💀
❤️Fated Mates
🖤Hidden Identity

I don’t want to say too much in fear of spoiling #1 but I will say I was screaming, crying, setting my kindle down and walking away for five minutes like.. “whaaaaaaat?! 👀”. I absolutely loved this book.
It picks up right where book one ends. Still following (mainly) Sages POV, we get an in depth look into her feelings.. past and present. It’s is a dark, wild ride. There’s treachery, lies, deceit, you’re constantly questioning who is good.. who is evil.. But I loved watching Sage grow into herself and her power. She’s fiercer than ever in this book and we love a good “stab first, ask questions later” FMC 🥰💅
I also love that we get some of Vons backstory as well. We love our morally pitch black shadow wielding God of Death that would absolutely burn the world down for his woman. 🖤
The world building opens up quite a bit in this book. But it’s not to overwhelming like a high fantasy would be! It’s very easy to follow along, with minimal effort!
I’m excited to see where to story goes next! ❤️

The first thing I loved about the book was the cover, it just takes your breath away and the next thing is the headers. They both have mesmerised me completely. The writing is fabulous and the plot is devastatingly captivating.

The story starts from where it is almost left off in book one and takes unexpected turns. The turn of events is emotional, and frustrating sometimes but they are insightful in many ways. We get the answers to so many of the questions which were asked in the first book.

The ending is full of goosebumps and with the question of now what?? And how things are going to proceed. The journey was not easy but it had many ups and downs which made the story more interesting and entertaining. The characters grow as the story progresses and it’s all worth it.

Short glimpses of Von made the experience better but I wanted more of him, it broke my heart to see him like this. Whereas Sage was on fire, from literally the first page she is fighting for her life, for her past, for her identity. She did a great job in retaining herself and finding new paths.

I really hated the one character and all the manipulation’s happening. At some places, the story bought my worst reactions but I think that’s what the author wanted. The story has a unique process of plot and that made me stick to this book and now I am eager for the next one.

It’s a 4.25⭐️ For Me.

This series is so unique and exciting, very different to anything I've read recently, and I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute!

The premise is old gods vs new gods, with centuries old grudges that impact humanity in ways they can't even scratch the surface of understanding. I love the way more detail and history is slowly revealed throughout the book, just as you think you're starting to understand and crack the secrets, a new twist appears and shines a light on a whole different angle that you didn't expect!

I loved Sage's growth through this book as she learns more about herself and her history, unravelling the truth through the deception that she's been surrounded in. And Von! Poor Von! There will never be enough Von, and I can't wait for book three to dig deeper into him.

If you enjoy romantic fantasy with a bit of spice, and leaning on the darker side, I have a feeling you will love this book! The world building is intricate, but not overwhelming, and you can enjoy and understand the book even if you choose to gloss over some of the more complex relationships, (or spend the whole time theorising and spiralling like I did!) so I think it is a winner no matter what level of fantasy you enjoy!

So it's a wrap on Between Sun and the Moon by Jacklyn Kot.

I'm not gonna lie, the beginning of the story was a bit of a drag and very slow . I almost was on the verge of stopping to read the book altogether. But I'm so glad I read the whole Book because the book was a banger.

I was mad in the first half of the book, then happy, then turned angry, then sad and finally devastated at the end of this book. Jacklyn did an amazing job of picking up the story in the later half of the book.

Also I never knew a person in a coma could be so entertaining and I was honestly looking forward to reading Von's POV. Aurelius was a grade A asshole and I want to see him properly punished in the future books if any. I want him tortured and depressed.

I want a happier ending for Von and Safe. I want to see what Sage's god power can do. I want to know what happens to the endless mist. So many unanswered questions makes me hope there is one more book to come.

But for anyone who enjoys fantasy should definitely give this book a go! It has all the dramatic elements of a good story in it. The duet is definitely a long read but so are most fantasy books. It does have a lot of world building and there are multiple flashbacks of the last but the storyline in the second half of the book just slays. I'm happy I pulled through. Von is definitely a shadow daddy 😍😍

All in all a great dark fantasy romance duet.

"Between Sun and Moon" the thrilling continuation that amplifies everything that made "Between Life and Death" so captivating. The heightened tension, spice, and stakes make for an intense and dark journey that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Picking up right where the first book left off, "Between Sun and Moon" takes unexpected twists and turns before reaching its gripping conclusion.

As Sage delves deeper into discovering her true identity, shocking revelations and difficult choices emerge, leaving readers grappling with a whirlwind of emotions. The alternating perspectives of Sage and Von, weaving past and present narratives, kept me needing to know what would happen from beginning to end. Just wait until you meet the character that will make your blood boil! 😡

Jaclyn masterfully expands the world and lore in this book, teasing new mysteries and character developments. "Between Sun and Moon" is a rollercoaster of emotions, deceit, and intrigue that will have you gasping towards the final chapter. I can't wait to see where Jaclyn takes us next! 🌙✨

AHHHHHHH... you need to put Between Life and Death (book 1) and Between Sun and Moon (book 2) on your TBR now!

BSaM picked up where BLaD left off. We met some new characters (some of them were not awesome.) Got to know some of the others a little more deeper. Some secrets were revealed.

I felt all the emotions. Happy, I raged, I was shocked, so impressed, cried (both happy and sad), and I screamed into the void.

We had flashbacks of memories and I loved that we got to experience them along with the characters. I loved getting those insights to the past. And wish I would have all the books with their past in it. (I would probably leave a certain character out of it).

Von is still delicious as ever and has the an amazing mouth on him.

Sage is still so badass. I love her so much.

I’m not ok. 😳 what is life.

This was an incredible story, I could not put it down from the moment I started it! Let me say this world building was absolutely bingeable, I want to be in this world.

The character development was amazing, the way I grew to love some and absolutely hate others - I truly wanted to jump into the book and just slap a bitch.

The FMC is truly a fucking badass, her story and her development was something I will never forget.

The MMC .. VON. Excuse me, he can do absolutely no wrong ever. Just a complete package for a fictional man.

Do yourself a favour and read this series, wallow with me in the fact that the next book isn’t here yet so we can struggle together.

I don't even know what to say. I loved this book. So many times I was torn while reading it. I happy cried, ugly cried, and felt every other emotion. This is the second book of the series and I can't wait for the next one. The story follows Sage, the goddess of life on her journey to find herself and her past.

Enemies to lovers
Fated mates
Strong FMC
Shadow daddy
Gods and goddesses
War between old gods and new
Found family

I received this as an eARC in exchange for my honest opinion. If you haven't read the first book Between Life and Death go read it and when this book comes out go buy it. So so good.
