A LitRPG Fantasy Adventure Full of Magic and Monster Girls
Grove Greene is a Level 3 Shadow Scout on his first expedition to a tropical archipelago, and his life is about to get a lot more interesting.
During his first mission, he saves the life of a beautiful island orc fisherwoman, Tessa, after her village is raided by trolls. Together, they explore the rest of the archipelago and uncover the Troll King’s evil agenda.
They also wind up exploring each other in all the best ways.
Grove’s adventure takes him across the tropical archipelago, where he must build level and master his new skills in order defeat his enemies. And Tessa isn’t the only beautiful monster girl he’ll meet along the way. As Grove’s Harem grows, he becomes more powerful with each passing day.
And has more and more fun each night.
This story contains fantasy action and adult romantic scenes. Enjoy the spice, adventurer.
A bit darker than expected, but doable. Our MC hero is Grove, a good guy trying to do the right thing, and that begins with saving a young orc woman. World seems fleshed out. Adventurers are called God-touched. The BDSM elements have the male MC as the Dom (unsurprisingly), though I'm personally less interested in anal or humiliation, hence the ding.
It's 268 pages, but paragraphs are actually indented and there is no extra spacing, which is a pleasant surprise, the story runs for nearly all of it. Ends with a cliffhanger. Interested enough to want to try book 2, which is already out.
Well this came out of nowhere, and it's fantastic.
Great setting, super pleasant characters, a nice lightweight litRPG setup, a compelling villain, and a stupidly cute romance, some stupidly hot sex scenes, a very well structured plot...there's very, very little to dislike about this.
If there's a flaw, it's that as I write this there are only two books in the series, and no other books by the author, which is a shame, because I want more.
Grove is a scout for the jolly rat an exploration ship for his kingdom .
Grove is a new rookie at his craft from just graduating from the Academy as a scout for gathering information an intelligent for the captain of the jolly rat . As his newest member of his crew he also knows about nautical knowledge as well as many languages . Upon exploring a unknown island being under attack from unknown forces Grove adventures is just beginning . recommend reading excellent book .
I can't say I've read a lot of harem literature, but what I can say is this one was thoroughly enjoyable. Admittedly, crazy as it might sound to some, I actually grew a bit tired of the sex scenes by the end of the book and was more drawn in by the core story itself. The descriptions of actions and features of characters can sometimes be a bit repetitive, but still thoroughly enjoyable and I'm excited to read the next installments.
The Scout and His Orc is packed with well-developed characters and genuine action adventure, with satisfying and spicy scenes. You won’t be able to stop turning the page and THANK GOODNESS the other books in the series are coming soon!
A fun story with compelling characters. We get into the heart of the story very quickly. A lot of world building as we go learning our characters backgrounds and motivations as the story moves. It was paced really well and a lot of buildup for the romance. But good pay off as well! On to the next one!
3.5 stars. Writing is competent, MC seems reasonably switched on, and when the story is actually moving it's pretty good. However, the sex really bogs it down. I expect some of that in a book like this, but when you're not reading for erotica, less is better. Overall it didn't pull me in enough to continue the series, but YMMV.
I liked the storyline and the tenderness between Orc,and human.the adventure was great, and thoroughly interesting and pulse stirring. When the harpy hit the mix, well I was hooked!
Came across this book and thought I would give it a try and am really happy that I did. Lots of well written fight scenes and leveling up added in for good measure. Can’t wait to read the next one.
The characters are so well described and developed that they come alive to the reader. Spending time with them is like a breath of fresh air. Very stylized writing that is highly enjoyable!
