He’s the hottest country rock star in the country whose reputation needs repaired. She’s an unemployed event planner who’s desperate for a job. When a hometown Christmas festival forces them together, the only thing they have in common is the one thing they’ll never admit their secret crush on each other.
In the small town of Maplewood, Christmas is more than just a date on the calendar—it's a weeklong celebration during the town’s annual Mistletoe Festival.
When Mia receives a call asking for help giving the festival a makeover, she takes the job…with one catch.
She needs to convince the hottest rock star in the country, Jace Knight, to do a Christmas concert in Maplewood…an impossible task since he’s become a grumpy recluse.
With the pressure to fix his ruined reputation and write new music, Jace reluctantly says yes to the concert, but only if Mia agrees to be his assistant.
It’s a win-win situation for them both…
Until they get stranded together during a freak snow storm.
Now Jace has to avoid the feelings he can’t admit to Mia.
And Mia is faced with an impossible choice…between love or the life she thought she wanted.

📖 He’s the hottest country rock star in the country whose reputation needs repaired. I’m an unemployed event planner who’s desperate for a job. When I’m forced to team up with Mr. Smolder for the most ambitious Christmas event around, it might be my biggest mistake yet

I thought 💬
What a first meeting! I was second hand embarrassed for her!
Some of the conflict felt more forced than organic. This was frustrating at times.
I loved ♥️
The story had a great mix of plot and character development. I loved all the Christmas events.
I loved that Mia didn’t know Jace and was in awe of his celebrity.
A country superstar singing a song he wrote just for her? Pick me up off the floor. So many super swoony moments.
They both agree to chase the fun and it was a joy to read.
Although The Mistletoe Makeover is part of the Renovation Romance Sweet RomCom series, it can definitely be enjoyed without having read the two books that come before it.
I have discovered that I really enjoy celebrity romance novels and this one was such fun and also a festive, Christmas themed story!
The meet cute situation Jace and Mia found themselves in was a great way to start the book. It set them up to have an initial “enemies” vibe, yet I was glad that they didn’t stay enemies for long. Their working relationship had the perfect amount of tension as these two began to get to know each other and even ended up stranded together one evening. I liked that they fell for each other as they spent time together, even as both of them doubted that the other felt the same.
The author did a wonderful job of creating a small town vibe and I really liked getting to see Mia’s mother and twin brothers. It was nice to see how well Jace fit in with her family when they were all together. It was great to see Jace relax and enjoy himself with Mia, find his love of music again, and also get glimpses of what it was like for him to juggle being in the media spotlight.
The Mistletoe Makeover was a great story that I enjoyed from start to finish. I look forward to reading the next book in the series, which will be about Mia’s brother, Brax, and her best friend, Jaz.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
Who seriously loves mistletoe?! I sure don’t! Mia, the beautiful female protagonist of this book, doesn’t…Jace, the semi-brooding attractive male lead, probably could careless! A little plant that can lead to so much trouble but is a perfect accessory to this story – yes please!
Grace Worthington has done it again with her latest installment of the Renovation Romance series! Mia comes home to Maplewood, Vermont to help her mom revive the Mistletoe Festival! The biggest hurdle besides the town being rundown is trying to convince the celebrity living nearby aka Jace, it’s in his best interest to do a concert! Easier said than done, especially when his status has been declining since his relationship with his ex (Ava) ended and he has no interest at all! As it turns out Jace is need of a PA and Mia needs him (desperately) to do the concert…win/win!
Over the course of the story, we learn why Mia is so bitter towards the kissing plant and even more so why she doesn’t like coming home for the holidays! One fateful day, the pair set off for another Christmas obsessed town only to wind up having to rely on each other for more than just directions! Things seem to look up from there as Mia is newly energized for the festival and Jace realizes how much fun life can be when surrounded by the right people!
There are so many more things I would love to share, but I will refrain because I will tell you this much is sure to be one of the best holiday books of the season! Don’t walk, RUN to get this book as soon as possible! You won’t regret it! Book hangover is a real thing, and this book will give you all the feels! So, get the book, grab your comfiest clothes and settle into this fantastic festive read!
The Mistletoe Makeover by Grace Worthington is the third book in her Renovation Romance Series but can be read as a standalone. This book gives off huge Hallmark Christmas movie vibes and I loved every moment of it. This book is told from a dual POV. The MFC is Mia, an unemployed former event planner whose mother, Cora, has talked into helping her hometown of Maplewood put off a month-long Christmas festival and convince the new country rock star resident of Maplewood to put on a concert. The MMC Jace Knight (aka Mr. Smolder) has had a bad year since his breakup. His career is not doing well and he really doesn't want to do a concert for Maplewood's Christmas festival. He just wants to be left alone.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving my honest review voluntarily.
The Mistletoe Makeover is the third book in the Renovation Romance series. You can definitely enjoy this one just fine as a standalone if you have not yet read the previous books in the series.
If you enjoy Hallmark-like holiday stories, you will absolutely love this one! I know I certainly did! I loved the interactions between Mia and Jace... right from their initial awkward meeting! Let's just say... they didn't hit it off right away! But when they have to work together to help save the town's Mistletoe Festival (and his reputation), that all changes! The story was packed full of Christmas cheer, great laughs and swoonworthy moments too, and I loved it all.
I haven't read a lot of 'never been kissed' stories, and honestly, I'm always a little apprehensive about them because I think it can be hard to so without seeming either unrealistic or preachy. There are very few that I have read that have really done it well... and this is certainly one to be added to that list. It felt realistic for this character and added a unique element to the story that I really found myself enjoying!
The Mistletoe Makeover is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language.
**I received an ARC for consideration. All opinions are my own.
All the hearts! I loved it! This is a sweet and clean Christmas romance. Small town girl and a country singer. ❤️ To revive her hometown Mia is redesigning the town’s Mistletoe Festival. The star attraction is the country singer Jace Knight, as long as she can convince the somewhat grumpy star to sing. I related a lot of Mia and her interactions with Jace were 💯 great! Loved! Cute, funny, sweet. It was all around a great book and you get to see of characters from previous books! It’s a stand alone book, so it’s not necessary to read the previous one but it makes the cameos more fun if you do!

Thank you to Grace for my complimentary audiobook of The Mistletoe Makeover. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
The Mistletoe Makeover is the 3rd book in The Renovation Romance Series, but it may be read as a standalone. While I do not usually read/listen to Christmas themed books in the spring, I made an exception for this one. It was so cute. Jace and Mia start off on the wrong foot, but the payoff is definitely worth it.
Perfect if you like:
Christmas anytime of the year ! Small town romance Music Star / Assistant Fake dating
Mike Lenz AND Jeannie Sheneman did a fantastic job with the narration. It was a very enjoyable listen.
Kisses only. This book packs in all the cliches. We have a famous hero with the girl-next-door heroine, forced proximity when they’re stranded and have to share a bed, fake dating, and the third act misunderstanding/breakup. I didn’t like the pressure everyone put on Mia from her mom to planning the event to Jace making her do a snowball fight (not a good idea when one is stranded and only has one pair of clothes) to the committee having her do the auction.
“He dared me to be happy, and I dared to fall for him.”
Grace has done it again…a book I couldn’t put down! I absolutely love this series and this one was just precious!!!
Mia is our FMC and has been brought back home to help save her small town. The annual Christmas festival is drowning..the only hope is for our girl to give it a makeover and what better way than to convince the famous country star-Jace- to be the headliner?!? He also happens to live in town and needs a little PR makeover as well. Lots of plots and laughs along the way!
From the moment the story started I was hooked. Mia and Jace are the cutest enemy to lovers couple. This has hallmark small town vibes all over it!
This is your holiday Hallmark movie in book form. As I read it, I could see it playing on my television. It is full of tropes that many love.
I don't believe that I have read any other books by this author. This book is part of a series, it and I know I haven't read the previous ones. I was able to follow this story without any trouble. But I do try to read series in order whenever possible. Having said that, this can absolutely be read as a standalone book.
I enjoyed the writing style the author has. There was witty banter between characters that had me smiling as I read. It's a light hearted, easy Christmas story that most will find a quick read. Just want we need when we are so busy and need an escape from reality.
I want to thank the author and Netgalley for the opportunity to read an advanced digital copy of this book. I am happy to leave an honest review.
I knew I was going to love this book from the first couple of chapters. When the two main characters meet in the airport, I knew I was in for a treat. Mia MacPherson is an unemployed event planner who is currently working as a barista all while trying to help her mom out financially. Her mom convinces her to come home to revamp the Maplewood Mistletoe Festival. Mia is not really fond of mistletoe, and she would rather skip Christmas altogether, as she had bad memories of a Christmas many years ago. She begrudgingly accepts her mom's offer and heads home.
Jace Knight is a hot country rock star who has fallen out of grace with his fans lately. He is quietly living in Maplewood licking his wounds and trying to get over a nasty breakup. Mia's mom thinks he is just the ticket, literally, to jumpstart the festival back to its days of glory. Now they have to convince Jace to do this for the town. Mia has already started off on the wrong foot. Jace has a shield around him, understandably. However, Mia starts to break through those walls with some of her crazy antics and her lack of interest in his stardom. He is used to everyone falling at his feet. She is disinterested. She just needs to help save the festival. You know that a hot star and a shy girl who prefers to stay in the background have nothing in common, at least on the surface, but somehow you can see a connection immediately.
Grace Worthington has once again tickled my funny bone repeatedly. There were several scenes that were just slap stick funny. Grace Worthington obviously has a great sense of humor and it shows in her writing. The characters are very lovable and interesting. The witty banter back and forth between Jace and Mia was very entertaining. This was a charming Christmas romance set in a small town that would make Hallmark proud, but it was not cheesy. It was a well written romantic comedy which swallowed me up for several hours until I finished it, all while cackling out loud to the point that my husband thought I had lost my mind. I always enjoy any book written by Grace Worthington, and this is another great one for her, and the addition of it being at Christmas just made it even more fun to read. Reading is supposed to be fun, and this book, though serious at times, has loads of fun in it.
Thank you to the author for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
– this is part of a series, but can be read as a stand-alone
– this is told from Mia & Jace’s points of view
– Mia’s father left their family when she was young (around Christmas); he passed away the year before the events in this story
– Jace’s parents care more about what Jace could do/give them than him as a person
Review:
I stayed up way later than I expected & almost finished the book before I had to fall asleep (though I of course finished it soon after waking)! I really enjoyed getting to read this Christmassy celebrity romance! It was the perfect mix of Christmas & winter wonderland as well as all the good things you get with a celebrity thrown into the mix. I loved that both Mia & Jace were a bit begrudging of their work relationship & later their real/almost real romantic relationship showed signs of their still growing knowledge of each other. They both tried to make things work, but as it is with a romcom, not everything works out exactly the way that they planned for things to happen. I think my favorite parts had to do with winter fun and Jace’s newfound muse!
Summary:
Mia is in need of a job ASAP, but she never wanted that need to take her back home where Christmas is just a reminder of the hurt she’s felt since she was little when her father left their family. But when a desperate phone call from her mother practically begs Mia to come back home to plan the town’s best Christmas festival in years, Mia finds herself boarding a plane. Unfortunately for Mia, things are much harder than her mother told her. The town’s committee is determined to keep up long held traditions that no one else cares for & the décor has seen better years. But perhaps the hardest thing will be trying to convince Jace Knight, the town’s newly minted famous recluse musician to come out of hiding to be the headliner of the festival. Especially after the accidental impression she made on him before the meeting to discuss if he’d help or not…
Jace just wants to hide from the world after his very public breakup hit news outlets. Plus, if he’s hiding, maybe he’ll be able to find the muse that’s left him in its wake. Which would be a boon, especially if it came before the deadline in January. Jace certainly doesn’t want to headline his new hometown’s very small & unknown Christmas festival. But his manager & the town’s committee manage to make Jace change his mind and he even gets a new personal assistant in the festival’s planner: Mia. Though their relationship starts off rocky, they learn more about one another as they work together to make this festival happen. Jace soon finds himself straining against the idea of pursuing more with Mia with every second they spend together. With how his last relationship ended, could he really be ready to try again so soon?
Mia’s last few perfect Christmases have been spent alone, having a marathon of Hallmark Christmas movies and wearing buffalo checked pajamas. She stays far away from her hometown of Maplewood and their Mistletoe Festival. But when her mom calls and asks her to do a favor of revamping the festival, Mia reluctantly agrees. Jace’s reputation had taken a nosedive after his last very much in the public eye break up around the holidays last year and he prefers to hide out in his new home away from everyone except for his two outdoor cats. When Mia works to convince Jace to help her as the major pull for the new and improved festival, missing one Ugly Santa thank you very much, neither thinks it will change everything.
I broke one of my rules for reading for this book. I don’t like to read a book series out of order, so although this is the third book in the series, it can also be read as a stand-alone. I will definitely be reading the other books as well. The chemistry between Jace and Mia is very believable and well written. I absolutely love how Jace doesn’t judge Mia for her reality and instead does everything he can to make her feel comfortable. Jace also is what I’ve always wished a country singer would be, and who I wouldn’t mind falling for me, but alas, he is fictional. Mia is very much always in her head, and is self sacrificing to the point where I just wanted to shake her, but to me that is a sign of good writing. The one thing I would hope was different with this book would be to have the side characters, at least one, play more of a role in the main romance. It was 90% Jace and Mia, with only a glancing mention (only brief glimpse of the work or even plans) of the Maplewood Mistletoe Festival one scene of the committee and only two major scenes with Mia’s family. The chapters went into more depth about Evergreens festival than on Maplewood’s, and that was a little lopsided in my opinion. Overall, I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a cute Hallmark style Christmas book.
Ok y'all, this is my first time reading a book by Grace Worthington and I loved it! It was so delightful and left me smiling and super happy! And it's a Christmas book! It had lots of great stuff packed into. Hopefully you'll enjoy it as much as I did if you read it.
Poor Mia, she's getting roped into helping out her hometown when all she wants to do is avoid it, avoid mistletoe, avoid the traditions and the family heartache, and just stay with her roommates for the holiday. But her mom has other plans for her! And those include getting her home to help revive her hometown's Christmas festivities in hopes of reviving the town itself. Help them Mia, you're their only hope! ;-) I couldn't resist, if you don't catch the reference, that's ok. Now she's heading home to meet with the committee and that big wig singer, Jace, who isn't having the best year either.
Can I just tell you how funny and awkwardly funny and extremely awkward (you get the gist) Mia and Jace's meet cute is? Hahaha! I was snickering while reading it. And poor Mia, she just keeps digging herself into a deeper hole. Then their second meeting. Bwahahaha!!!
Cuteness alert for this book y'all! It's just darling! These two have some things from their past that are hindering their futures. It was wonderful reading and watching their character arcs as they had to learn and grown, let go of the past and find a way to heal. Fortunately, they get to do that together! And they're just darling together!
The songs and the snowstorm, the hotel room, the dress, the mistletoe, the first kiss (in more ways than one), her roommates, the family (mom and brothers), the ex, the cabin, the swooniness, the mistletoe, the goodness of both characters, the mistletoe, the concert, the music...ok I'm repeating some things but that's because I loved those aspects!!!
Content: Clean. The main characters are forced to share a hotel room together due to a blizzard but nothing happens. Some sweet kisses in the book but nothing further.
I received a copy from the publisher, Poets and Saints Publishing, via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.
Mia MacPherson's father walked out on her family at Christmas when she was a child, which not only tainted the holiday for her, but her view of happily ever after as well. But as an event planner out of a job, she lets her mother convince her to come try and revitalize her hometown's Mistletoe Festival. And if revamping the festival wasn't enough of an undertaking, now she has to convince country music superstar, Jace Knight, to headline a concert.
Jace Knight is trying to salvage his reputation after an ugly public breakup. So he reclutantly agrees to headline a Christmas concert and somehow ends up with the event planner working as his personal assistant.
As things devolve from professional to personal after they are stranded in a snowstorm, both Jace and Mia have to deal with their baggage and embrace what Christmas has in store for them. _____ Atmospheric is the number one adjective to pin on this cute little book. You feel like you are in small town Vermont surrounded by the ambiance of Christmas. I liked Mia and Jace and their journey of both having to open up and face their insecurities to be able to relate to one another. This book really hones in on the main couple with the side characters not getting much time in the story. Which is a fun focused way to approach the plot. _____ This is a closed door, kisses only rom com.
Thanks to Netgalley and the author for the gifted book. All opinions are my own.
This is book 3 of the Renovation Romance Series and having read the first two books, naturally I couldn’t wait to read the third one and so happy I did.
I thoroughly enjoyed Mistletoe Makeover, loved the main characters, Jace a handsome country singing rock star and Mia the small-town girl who treats Mr. Smolder (as Mia refers to him) as a real person and he finds that refreshing.
Mia’s mother convinces her to come home for the holidays to save their town’s Mistletoe Festival. Her main problem will be to convince Jace to perform a concert to raise funds to keep the town’s festival from disappearing. He is reluctant at first and Mia eventually wins him over and he gains respect for her ability to get things done. He hires her as his personal assistant, and she helps him overcome writer’s block by introducing more fun in his life. With a new interest in Mia, he is able to write several new heartfelt songs for the upcoming concert.
This book is filled with Mistletoe Magic and kept me turning page after page to see what would happen next to these adorable and funny characters and their banter and witty dialog kept me smiling or laughing as I read.
I loved the story and how Grace Worthington writes which has kept me reading her books. It’s a fun read that does not disappoint and just in time for the holidays, however it will be fun to read at any time of the year.
I want to start out by thanking Grace Worthington for allowing me the opportunity to read this book as my *first* ARC review! This book was a great first ARC, and I’m soooo happy I got to read it! This was also my first holiday romance, and what a great way to kick start the holiday season!
I absolutely loved the small town Vermont holiday vibes from this book🎄Mia and Jace’s chemistry was perfect, and let me say, this book did not frustrate me AT ALL!!! Thank you for that Grace!!!!! I hate it when the main characters don’t communicate, or beat around the bush when it comes to their feelings! We loveeee that❣️(my only complaint is that Mia is 31 and never been kissed?????)
The small town of Maplewood hosts a Mistletoe Festival each year around the holidays, but they’ve slowly been running out of funds and interest for the event. Cue Mia, former event planner and Maplewood (childhood) native to save the day! The only problem is that she’ll need to work with bad boy country star, Jace Knight (whom she does NOT leave a good first impression with). Can they work together to make the new and improved Maplewood Mistletoe Festival a success? or will Jace’s bad reputation ruin everything?
Please please please, if you’re looking for a cute little holiday romance this season, READ THIS BOOK!!!!
This book was adorable! I have not read any Grace Worthington books, and this was so much fun! I loved watching Mia’s journey as she grew into knowing and understanding more of herself. She had been burned before so many times, and there was a lot of anger focused towards the Mistletoe Festival. She had to learn to let go of past hurts and open up herself to new possibilities. I was a bit frustrated with her character at points because she felt a bit whiny at times. But I definitely related to her Type A personality, and it was sweet to watch her with Jace. Jace was a total sweetheart! I liked him more and more as the book went on. He also had a lot that he was working with, but he was trying to open himself up to something new with Mia. I liked his kind heart, and it was fun to watch him and Mia work past their differences. I did feel like the turn from being enemies to lovers was a bit quick for me though. There are a lot of fun side characters as well! Mia’s friends are super supportive, and it was cute how they helped her so much along the way. This is a quick read filled with Hallmark and Christmas cheer! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher through Netgalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, a positive review was not required.
The Mistletoe Makeover has been my favorite book (thus far) in the Renovation Romance Series by Grace Worthington!!!
I couldn’t wait to read this book for two reasons; I am a huge fan of holiday romances and I love Worthington’s writing. While this book delivers on both fronts, it far exceeded my expectations.
Not only does The Mistletoe Makeover feature some of my favorite tropes, but it exemplifies that romances don’t need to be explicit. Mia and Jace’s chased relationship was profoundly beautiful. So much so, that Worthington’s writing hooked me from the very beginning and held my attention until the final sentence of the epilogue.
I could have stayed in Mia and Jace’s story forever. While I was sad to see it end, I was happy with how their story concluded. Being that this is apart of a series I am holding out hope that I will get to catch up with the couple, perhaps as soon as the next book The Roomate Remodel.
This book features: -Dual POVs (Mia/ Jace) -Disgraced Famous Singer -Unemployed Event Planner -Never Been Kissed trope -Fake Dating -Forced Proximity -Christmas/ Holiday Read
Special thanks to Netgalley, Grace Worthington, and Poets and Saints Publishing for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my honest feedback!!!
Cute, clean holiday romance involving a singer whose recent breakup and writer's block have tanked his career, pushing him to move to a small rural New England town. The other protagonist is a burned out event planner struggling to make enough as a barista to at least help her mom out a little financially until she recovers from her event planning burnout, and she gets roped into trying to rescue her dying hometown's on-life-support holiday festival. Her main job is to get the singer to give a holiday concert as a defibrillator shock to return the town's near death festival to life...and hopefully give the singer's very unhealthy career a positive jolt as well. The plans proceed through mishap after mishap, but with the help of the main character's 2 friends, things start to look up a bit. The singer's ex and her new love interest feature once; after that, the ex, having ditched her current love interest, tries her hand at rekindling the past, now deader than a door nail, relationship she destroyed. Is there a budding romance between the event planner/personal assistant and the singer, and if so, can it survive the intrusion of a determined ex?
This is the first book I've read by Grace Worthington and it did not disappoint. I did not realize it was part of a series, but in my opinion it was completely fine read as a stand alone. I appreciated the duel POV between the two main characters, Jace and Mia. From where they first meet in the airport to the development of their relationship, the entire storyline was Hallmark Christmas movie worthy. The many tropes worked well together and felt natural; forced proximity, fake dating, first kiss, slight grumpy/sunshine vibes, rockstar MMC. Without giving away any spoilers, my favorite scene was when Jace buys the hat for Mia (swoon) and my least favorite scene(s) was actually the song Jace wrote/sang for Mia (it was a little cringy to me, but I could appreciate the necessity of it...given he's a singer/song writer). Also, the chemistry and banter between the two was very well written and made the characters, and their relationship, relatable.
Overall I enjoyed the read, the characters, the plot, the humor, even the closed door romance that made the story feel sweet and innocent. It made for a great book to cozy up with and read over the holiday season.
First let me thank netgalley and Grace Worthington for the chance to read this book early!
Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is such a cute Christmas romance. Mia is a bit of a Christmas Scrooge, and Jace is just trying to escape a bad year. But when both are roped into helping with a dying towns Mistletoe Festival they may both find not only their Christmas spirit but also a piece of their souls they were missing.
I loved the plot of this book, it was so interesting to see how these two were going to work together to save the town. What really kept me reading though were the characters! I loved Jace and Mia. Together their chemistry was off the charts, their banter had me in, tears and their romance was just so sweet!!
If you’re looking for a Christmas romance between a sassy, tough as nails, but loves her family FMC, and a rockstar who just wants a little piece and quiet while looking to rediscover his muse, forced together in the slowest burn romance full of Christmas time shenanigans then this is the book for you!
I'm loving every book in this series! I loved all their interactions... starting with the meet cute that made me giggle. Jace is a country rock music star who is in need of a reputation makeover. Mia is a struggling event coordinator and returns to her hometown to help with the Christmas festival.
They may have started as slight enemies, but quickly became the best team. They both had their walls up and may have seemed like completely opposites with nothing in common, but they realize everyone has walls of some kind and the walls don't define who you are as a person. Jace treated Mia with such tender care and was just the sweetest! I loved all the balance of tension-filled moments, serious moments, and hilarious situations that were realistic at the same time.
I have loved every book in this series but they can all be read as standalone. The small town setting and characters added so much to this story and I love how they make appearances in every book. I felt like I was inside a Hallmark Christmas movie, but it was so much better!
This was such a fun hallmark feel Christmas book. I loved Jace and Mia and enjoyed the banter between them so much.
Mia is getting ready to help plan the Mistletoe festival at her hometown. She has a reason to not want to be around at Christmas and coming home for the festival is no exception. The town needs her…can she do it? Jace is a famous country singer and needs his image cleaned up. Does he care enough to help the town or should he just stay reclusive like he really wants to this Christmas? Can Mia help change his mind?
This is such a sweet Christmas read. The town came alive in my mind and I felt like I could see the Christmas lights and mistletoe everywhere. I felt like I was walking in a winter wonderland. I got all the hallmark Christmas movie feels with this book and I was so here for it. Grab some hot cocoa and enjoy this fun Christmas read.
Thank you to the author for the ARC. All opinions are my own.
Even though this is part of the Renovation Romance Sweet RomCom series it can be read as a standalone. I highly recommend this story to everyone.
Grace Worthington really knows how to keep you reading even when you have a difficult time concentrating. I am going through something devastating and I picked up this book to read to see if I could actually concentrate enough to read it and it really took my mind of my problems.
You can read the synopsis to know what the book is about but what you don't read about is how well the story flows and keeps you reading. Grace Worthington is that kind of author. There wasn't a time I thought will this ever end. The author pulls you in and you find yourself falling in love with the story and characters.
You can't go wrong if you pick this book up so run to your nearest bookstore, library or computer and get this book! HIGHLY recommend.
To say I adored this book would be an understatement. If you are looking for a sweet rom-com that would make a fantastic holiday movie please look no further...I'm not talking Hallmark Movie either I'm talking big screen rom-com with Hollywood A-listers.
Mia is a down on her luck event planner, who doesn't have much Christmas spirit, who heads home to her small town to help save their winter festival.
Jace is a country music star who is tasting the sting of the press/media and has lost his muse. He's hoping to retreat to the small town where he bought his peaceful home and hopefully rediscover what he's lost.
While saving the Christmas festival, they save themselves and each other. He dared her to be happy, and she dared to fall for him.
-Small Town Romance -Sweet NOT Spicy -One Bed -Celebrity Romance -Never Been Kissed
I received this book as an ARC thanks to Netgalley and am providing an honest review.
Y’all ain’t ready for this one! Talk about a hallmark movie script! Yes, yes, it absolutely is, and I’m totally here for it. It’s a sweet closed door romcom, with forced proximity, Grumpy-Sunshine, celebrity romance, small town and never been kissed. Yes, all of the good tropes y’all.
It’s the third in a series but can totally be read as a standalone, that’s what I did. Mia and Jace are the MCs and they had all the witty banter I swoon over. I was rooting for them early on and for Mia to get her first kiss. I’m all about HEA and these to definitely got theirs.
This was such a fun and lighthearted reed. There were plenty of moments that had me laughing out loud. If you need a good clean and refreshingly fun book this Christmas season, this is it, look no further!
Netgalley, Grace Worthington and Poets and Saints Publishing thank you so much for this Advanced Readers Copy.
The Mistletoe Makeover by Grace Worthington is a delightful romcom that brings holiday cheer through its charming narrative. With its cozy vibe and endearing characters, this book is perfect for those looking for a light and quick read during the festive season.
One of the highlights of the novel is the witty banter between the characters, which feels genuine and relatable. The emotional confessions are heartfelt and resonate well, adding depth to an otherwise playful storyline. The fast-paced nature of the book keeps readers engaged and makes it difficult to put down.
However, some scenes do feel disjointed, detracting from the overall flow of the narrative. These moments can pull readers out of the immersive experience, but they don’t outweigh the book's overall charm.
If you're in the mood for a cutesy, cozy holiday read filled with romance and humor, The Mistletoe Makeover is definitely worth picking up!
