Stuck with You #3

Stuck with the Boss

Rate this book
I have a crush on my new boss.
I’m very professional, but I’m not superhuman. I can’t resist a broody man in a suit, and the new principal wears his well. He’s so put together and sophisticated—a far cry from the duds I’ve been out with lately.
On top of that, his smooth British accent gives me the feels.
I didn’t think men like Oliver Westbrook existed in real life.
I just wish I would’ve made a better impression at our first faculty meeting. In fact, I wish every encounter with him didn’t end with me nervously sweating through my blouses.
If only I could stop putting my foot in my mouth.
To make matters worse, I get stranded with the frustratingly handsome man after a teacher retreat since our co-workers accidentally forgot us.
But the minute we’re alone and miles away from reality, something glorious happens.
Oliver loosens his tie and opens up to me, revealing more about himself and his feelings, which makes my knees weak.
With every vulnerable truth, I find myself falling harder.
I’m in deep trouble—the kind that’ll land me in detention.
But it doesn’t stop me from taking the risk.

**Stuck with the Boss is the laugh-out-loud third book in the Stuck with You rom-com series. These books can be enjoyed in any order.

There is a new book Daddy on the block, and his name is Oliver Westbrook.

Oliver has recently moved to New York as a principal, causing a bit of a kerfuffle among the teachers at his new school. While the British import knows he must keep his professionalism and ignore the hubbub, one math teacher, in particular, has him off his game.

Erin Hayes is clumsy enough as she is. The teacher has had the worst luck in dating and likes to keep to her tiny circle of friends inside and outside of campus. Her boss, however, has turned her world upside down with his handsome face and intense blue eyes.

After a disastrous first impression, she tries -- rather unsuccesfully -- to keep her distance from the boss. It gets even worse when their colleagues inadvertently leaves them at their work retreat. Can these two survive being stuck with each other, or will they discover that there is more to the tension between them?

This was a great light read. Minimal angst, fun romantic comedy, spicy moments. I love the immediate connection between Oliver and Erin despite their efforts to squelch it, but we romance aficionados know that resistance is futile. Georgia Coffman does a fantastic job of building the tension between the two main characters and the anticipation for the readers.

While their spicy moments are super caliente, there is a scene in this read that earns that extra half-point for making me smile from ear to ear and giggle like a schoolgirl. Oliver definitely earns his spot on my Daddy bookshelf for that one.

If you're looking for a fantastic low-angst read, this book comes highly recommended from me.

** I am voluntarily reviewing an advance copy of this book. Thank you to Georgia Coffman and Give Me Books PR for providing an ARC. **

Can't spell Principal without-pal!

However, after their first meeting and her less than stellar introduction, Erin might be getting the boot. Her track record with men could fill a whole book for what not to expect from the opposite gender. The new principal is not only handsome, but British. She has no chance of him noticing her, until she draws his attention by letting her mouth override her brain.

Oliver Westbrook has traveled halfway around the globe to meet the family he didn't know about until a few months ago. After his last relationship, he has no desire for romance, especially with a teacher who now reports to him. The retreat he plans for the faculty as a team builder is a great idea, until he realizes that they all left him at the camp, with the one woman he shouldn't secretly desire.

Once again, Georgia Coffman has managed to make me laugh til I cry, while cranking up the heat! I laughed out loud every time the girls or Erin would come up with a new nickname for Oliver. This series is so much fun and steamy and I seriously can't wait for the next book!

While Oliver was pretty cold at the steer of the story, I really liked him. When he finally let his guard down and let Erin in, it was a beautiful thing to see. I knew from the start he wasn’t a bad guy, just a rule follower til Erin’s charms steered him in the right direction. She was super sweet but also had fire about her and I love that she didn’t back down. The story had a good pace and the plot kept me engaged. I plan to go back and read the first two in this series that shows Erin’s friends. I plan to also see if Rebecca has a book, if not, I really hope the author writes one. 4 stars

The new principal and quirky math teacher get off on the wrong foot and then get stranded together, what could possibly go wrong?

Georgia Coffman has a way with writing such amazing Rom-com style books. It’s so hard not to swoon, laugh and cry.

Oliver is broody and Erin is perky and accident prone. A few very uncomfortable encounters leaves Erin thinning her boss hates her until they get stuck together on a retreat and Erin had enough of Oliver’s grumpiness. Once Oliver’s true emotions show, all bets and clothes come off. Besides the chemistry between these two that is adorably perfect, I love the girl group Erin has. I would love to be a part of this group.

Workplace romance , off the chart’s chemistry, second chances , angst , witty banter , humor , heartbreaking and heartfelt, unexpected surprises, wonderfully written characters, a storyline that is guaranteed to grab onto all your emotions so tightly and pull at your heartstrings in ways you definitely will not be expecting, friendships, family , page tuner , emotional rollercoaster, unforgettable, unputdownable and absolutely perfect . So I am actually someone who reads dark romance pretty much 95% of the time , but there are times when I’m looking for a change , when I need to read the type of story that will put a smile ion your face . Georgias my go to author, she is not only so Freaking talented but she also happens to be one of my very faves

I loved this book more than I've liked any of the Stuck books. I am a sucker for age gap stories (my husband is younger than me) so I knew I would like this one. How much I enjoyed it surprised even me though. Stuffy boss, free spirit teacher and too many Karen's poking their noses where noses don't need to be.
I loved the build up. I loved the steam. I loved catching up with characters from prior books and meeting new ones.
This one was definitely worth the wait.
Even being part of a series, as with all the others, this book can be read as a stand alone.

3.9 Stars (standard rounding rules apply)

Having been my first novel by Georgia Coffman I wasn't sure what I was going to get myself into. This was a romcom, with a grumpy MMC and a sunshine FMC who both worked in the same place. There was a touch of forbidden in the story as well.

Our MMC, Oliver, is a British man who came over to repair his relationship with his sister and nephew. He finds himself working within a school as a principal where our FMC, Erin, works as a math teacher. This is definitely where the element of forbidden comes into play. Oliver is pretty uptight and prefers to stick to the rules rather than break them. He is no non-sense and very practical in all his decisions - except when it comes to the intriguing Erin.

Erin has gone of so many awful dates that she is beginning to wonder if there is anyone truly out there for her. She meets Oliver during the staff meeting, and fell instantly into lust with him - as does most of the single female staff members. Considering how many times love seems to knock her down she still has a very sunshine personality; and that irritates Oliver in the beginning.

They both have their ups and downs prior to realizing they just may be the right fit for each other. Of course, this is found out during a teacher's retreat. There is miscommunication between the two; as well as both having internal issues that need to be resolved if they ever want to have their happy ever after.

When it comes to spice, personally, I would put it at about a two, maybe two-point-five, out of five chili-peppers (please remember this is a personal opinion and may be more or less for you). I felt like it was hinted at that Oliver was at minimum a soft dom in the bedroom, but that wasn't the case and did leave me wanting a little more. There was a scene or two that could be considered on the k*nky side, but to me based on what was commented on throughout conversations it fell flat.

The book is dual point of view. Normally I like this, but there were times when I was wondering why we were in that particular point of view. Oliver's tended to be stilted and lacked any development either in his character or just with the flow of the story; while Erin's sometimes felt very all over the place. I didn't understand why we needed so many margarita nights with her friends other than to bring back past characters. While it worked to give us more background of Oliver, most of the story was told from Erin's point of view.

To me there was some jokes that fell flat, and some that hit well. It was middle of the road when I think of a romcom. As a whole this wasn't a bad story, and I would certainly give this author another shot with a different book. There was some good, but also so 'huh' moments. I know some I would recommend this book too, and others I would suggest they proceed with caution (based on their personal reading preferences.)

After yet another in a long string of dating disasters, high school math teacher Erin Hayes decides it's time to take a break from looking for love and focus on her career. Unfortunately, her bad luck continues when she attends the first faculty meeting of the school year and totally humiliates herself in front of her infuriating (but handsome) new boss, Oliver Westbrook. Neither that nor the fact that he continues to annoy her stops her from developing a crush on him, and secretly, principal Oliver can't help being attracted to Erin too. The situation reaches a boiling point following an offsite retreat when Oliver and Erin are stranded alone together at a rural campground. While waiting for their ride back to the city, their true feelings for each other are revealed, leading to an unexpected yet steamy hookup. Even though dating isn't technically against the rules for them, Oliver asks Erin to keep their relationship a secret for the time being. The last thing either of them needs to deal with is accusations of favoritism, especially after the school's vice principal announces her retirement and Erin's fellow teachers begin competing to fill the vacancy. When rumors about the principal and the math teacher begin to circulate anyway, will Erin and Oliver's fledgling relationship survive?

This book had me smiling and laughing from the first page to the last. I loved the push-pull and hilarious banter between Erin and Oliver, as well as the funny nicknames she and her friends came up with for him. Even though Oliver came across as a grump at first, he had such a good heart, and the way he connected with his younger half-sister Rebecca and nephew Malcolm in addition to Erin was very sweet. He took a big risk by moving from London to New York, but it paid off for him because he finally found the family he'd been looking for all along.

I highly recommend "Stuck with the Boss" for all contemporary romance and romantic comedy fans. It's my new favorite of the series so far, and I can't wait to get my hands on the next installment.

Having read Stuck with the Billionaire and Stuck with the Movie Star i immediately started looking forward to more! As soon as i saw this book announced on social media, i couldn't wait to read it! I picked it up and got right back into the Stuck with You world! I so enjoyed this story!

Erin and Oliver's journey captured my attention right from the get go! Oliver has just become the new principal at the school Erin teaches at. When a certain situation leads these two closer together, can they ignore everything igniting between them? I couldn't wait to see how it'd all play out!

I really liked the memorable moment Erin and Oliver were brought into each other's lives. I found Erin to be super relatable and i fell for Oliver. I was so glad that i got to dig into both of their minds. The chemistry between these two was so great! I didn't know how Erin and Oliver would tackle things which got me into their story even more so.

From the priceless times that had me grinning to the moments that packed the feels, i thoroughly enjoyed this story!

It was awesome being back in the Stuck with You world!

With Stuck with the Boss, Ms.Coffman has created such a good and entertaining read with spice and feels! I can't wait for more from her! 💙

Erin and Oliver (aka Principal Hot But Bloody Brit) cannot seem to stop having disastrously awkward moments In the teacher's lounge. From an accidental kiss to telling her how all women find him attractive. But after getting deserted at camp after the teacher's retreat, things start to fall in place maybe Erin's horoscope was on to something!

This was actually third quarter break up that I was okay with. What started out as a miscommunication, was quickly resolved by them actually talking to each other. But just because I talked to each other, didn't The issue was automatically better. The 2 of them had a lot of unresolved personal issues they needed to deal with on their own, and I think taking that time apart really helped to solidify the 2 of them is a couple.

Erin was quirky, but not a weird way. She was super bubbly and I loved seeing the interactions that she had with her friends, both her trio and her fellow teachers. Oliver was absolutely adorable with Malcolm and I wish we got to see more of their interactions.

This was my first book by this author, but I'm definitely now going back to read the others in the Stuck series! Really hoping that we get a book for Bree! And maybe even on for Rebecca

We have a new principal in the school and Erin the sassy, quirky math teacher may or may not have a bit of a crush on him, secret secret she certainly does have one on him! Oliver Westbrook has come to the US for his sister and nephew so when he found a job close to them it was a win win for him. He knows that he needs to stay out of the gossip and social networking of his staff, but a certain sassy math teach has captured his attention. They may have started off the wrong awkward foot, but Erin is ready to remedy that. They soon find themselves at a teacher retreat, what better way to improve staff moral and encourage team building. It is all good and they try to avoid one another but at the end of the weekend they have found themselves left behind at the camp with just each other. This weekend has just gone from bad to a bit steamy. The attraction is undeniable but how can this happen in private and still have a working relationship!? I loved Erin she is funny, awkward, says whatever comes to mind and loves her job. Oliver is the strong silent type that soon finds he is weak for the little math teacher.

This is book 3 in the Stuck with You series and it follows the story of Erin and Oliver.

I really enjoyed this book. Oliver has moved across from England to be the new principal at Erin's school, where she is a math teacher. He is this grumpy, reserved guy, which pretty much sums up British people lol

After a teachers' retreat - they end up being stranded as their co-workers forgot them. This is when everything changes for both of them. Erin sees Oliver in a different light and there is no turning back.

This was definitely a very funny read! I loved Erin and her friends - they sure were hilarious and their quirky personalities. They were always there to help her out!

I liked the difference we see in Oliver when he met Erin and how their worlds may be different , but still compliment each other. He definitely shows his true self only to a selection of people who earn it.

If you're in a mood for a light-hearted, age gap, office romance - then I definitely recommend it.

P.S. Thank you Georgia for the opportunity of BETA reading this!

Cute, funny light read

This was my first book by Georgia Coffman. It was a fun light grumpy sunshine with a dash of forbidden romance.

I got a lot of laughs from the horrifically hilarious dating disasters Erin had experienced and enjoyed the margarita meeting conversations and texts or calls between the gals. I'll have to read the previous two books soon!

As far as cons Oliver's POV felt a bit stilted and the book had short of seemed to sell him as more dom and kinky but the spicy scenes were all fairly tame though still steamy.

Some of the sub plots seemed to fade a bit and a few of the side characters could have been more developed. The third act drama was a bit annoying how it started (I hate miscommunication) but it led to some good growth for both main characters and an adorable reconcilation scene.

The book also used some of my least favorite words - guffawed and turgid. They are to me like moist is to many, but this is just purely personal quirk.

I give it a respectable 3.5 stars rounded up because of the humor and maybe a 2-3 spice level.

ARC Review of Stuck With The Boss by Georgia Coffman
* * * * *
A sweet and steamy romance between a young mayor teacher and her hot new older British boss!

Erin was doing well in life.
She had her foursome, consisting of great friends. She had a job she loved. She was doing good.
Then in comes her new boss.
Older.
Hot.
British.
Embarrassing her in front of her colleagues. Not the best start.
Oliver had made his choice to come out to the states when he discovered a family secret. He didn't intend to be distracted by the beautiful young math teacher.
A few bumps and trips ans accidental kisses are sending sparks flying...and making things rather awkward!
However when one little staff camping trip has them stranded alone, feelings come out and pants go down!
A work romance is bound to start some drama! Will they fight for each other when trouble comes knocking?

Love how Oliver is determined to make things work with his family! Erin and her friends are fantastic. Sexy yoga!

This book was so good! I loved it!

Erin is such a funny and caring math teacher. She has great friends that she works with plus her friends outside of work.
Erin and the rest of her faculty coworkers meet their new boss, the hot Principal Westbrook. Oliver Westbrook. He is the opposite of Erin. He's a rule follower and stands by the book. He's also older and more reserved than Erin.

Oliver has moved to the US to be closer to his younger sister and her son which he just found out about. When Erin and Oliver get stranded at their teacher's retreat, they begin to form a friendship which later develops into something so much better!! Once these two acknowledged theor feelings for one another, it was truly beautiful! Their connection and chemistry was so right! So good!

Their story is my favorite so far! I loved it so much! The writing was awesome and it kept me entertained until the end. Erin and Oliver had me laughing and not just them! The other characters too!

Stuck with great story

Erin is a single woman in her late 20's searching for love with nothing but a broken record for awful first dates. She is a math teacher at a high school in New York City. Enter her new boss: broody, British control freak and principal Oliver Westbrook (Just the name Oliver Westbrook is enough to melt any sensible woman's heart). He is grumpy and complicated and after some unfortunate mishaps, Erin and Oliver are stranded alone in a deserted camp after a teacher/staff retreat. They learn that the attraction is mutual and thus begins their love story. As fate would have it, a promotional opportunity comes up that challenges this couple's growing love.

These two characters are likable and relatable. The story takes place over a short period of time but is believable when the topic of love vs rules are concerned. Oliver's nephew provides some comedy and allows the story to not be taken so seriously.

“However, it’s not kosher to parade around the school with his plonker on display in such a flimsy fabric.”

I love this series and This book is a fantastic addition. This workplace romance will have you swooning, laughing out loud (literally) and enjoying the passion between these two.

Erin is so funny - she is quirky and has trouble with her filter! She has an instant attraction to her boss which leads to uncomfortable, funny and touching moments.

Oliver is the new principal and is a bit uptight, grumpy but sexy as heck! Why did I read his lines with a British accent?? Lol

The initial meeting between these two is so freaking funny and cringy. The laughs, banter and heat do not let up as these two explore their “friendship”.

And, Erin’s friends remind me so much of my GNO crew…their conversations are hilarious!

POV : Dual
Spice: 🌶 🌶 🌶

I love this series because it is based on a fun group of best friends who have such a great relationship, and I love seeing each one find their HEA after being “stuck” somewhere, and Stuck with the Boss was just as good as the others! It can be read as a standalone, but I think if you enjoy this one you will want to read the first two.

Oliver and Erin are definitely a grumpy/sunshine, opposites attract kind of relationship, as well as being a little forbidden since Oliver is the new principal at Erin’s school where she teaches. He is uptight and strict but Erin is more of a sweet, free spirit who gets him to lighten up a bit.

This is a feel good read that had me giggling from the first few pages, with a unique twist on how these two get suck together forcing them to acknowledge their feelings and make their way to their HEA!

A math teacher and the new Principal get stuck at a retreat….what’s the worst that can happen?
Erin is hilarious, then add in her group of friends and you’ll be laughing out loud at their shenanigans. She is vibrant and just happy. Oliver is new to the school and new to the country, he is more reserved and a little on the grump side.

Erin and Oliver have chemistry from the moment they meet, however, things are tense between them in the beginning. Until they get left by their coworkers at a retreat. Then they are forced to spend time together and things shift between them.

This story just leaves you feeling good from start to finish. You can’t help but smile and laugh while reading.

If you’re looking for a workplace, rom com check this one out.

Another romance read with some of my favourite tropes - forbidden romance and grumpy/sunshine. Erin has had her fair share of bad dates, from someone who compared her to vegetables to one man who had an obsession for cats. She is looking forward to go back to teaching and her normal routine. Then comes along the new principal, Oliver. He’s British and H-O-T. Erin and Oliver’s love story starts secretly and fast until nosy co-workers get wind of the rumour. Even though I found Erin a bit of a dram queen in some parts, I loved her friends who brought her back to reality. This book does great at world-building and we see a lot of their other relationships with family and co-workers. I really loved this book!!!

“The dreamy accent of Loki, the confidence of Captain America, and the quiet broody air of Hawkeye. Of course, he has the muscles of Thor too.”

Erin just can’t get a break when it comes to dating. She can’t find one she connects with if she gets a dollar for every guy that doesn’t look like their profile picture or how they describe themselves, she’ll be one wealthy woman.

And then she meets her new boss, Oliver and she develops an itty bitty tiny crush. And for some reason every time he’s around she just seems to make a fool out of herself. It doesn’t help that he’s just so broody and doesn’t seem to like her.

Until they get stuck with each other after their winter retreat. Sparks fly and all of a sudden she sees a different side to him. He’s into her as much as she’s into him. But what does it mean when they’re back in the real world, will Oliver turn back into his old broody self?

Such a light, funny, sexy and romantic read. If you’re into work place romance with a side of age gap then this is for you!

This was a fun romcom from Ms Georgia Coffman. Loved reading about Oliver and Erin and their complicated relationship. Oliver is a principal and Erin is a teacher and their union is frowned upon but these two have amazing chemistry from the very beginning and their strength of character saw them through a minor hiccup and brought them to their HEA. Their banter made me smile and the story in general is feel good. Oliver is such a British gentleman and I loved his persona and I loved Erin and her crazy history with bad dates. If you’re looking for a fun read then this is the book for you.

Erin is a sweet, accident prone, a free spirit, and a maths teacher, while the new principal Oliver, is uptight, broody, strict, and grumpy. When Oliver and Erin are away with their colleagues for a teachers retreat, they mistakenly are left stranded together with they are left behind. These two are total opposites, but they compliment each other perfectly, and the chemistry between them is explosive and undeniable. This is a well written story which is sweet, and with family, friendships, shenanigans, humor, witty banter, emotions, and love, which leads to an entertaining and steamy page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Enjoyable read

A cute read. I love the grumpy/sunshine trope. This is a ‘forbidden’ workplace romance that is really light on the forbidden. Erin is fun with her mix of sassy and awkward and I love any series that has a strong Girl Tribe. Oliver’s POV was a bit stilted but it makes sense with his character being the ‘stuffy brit’ There were quite a few laugh out loud moments I really enjoyed. The steamy scenes were yummy although some of them didn’t flow as well as I’d expected. I think this is my first book by the author so I’m not completely in the groove of her writing style. All in all it was an enjoyable book and I’d like to read more from the series.

I was not sure about this couple at first, but I grew to love them. As I am a teacher, I connected easily with Erin. Oliver, I think it is so sweet that he would relocate. So he can get to know his family. I enjoyed the time they spent in the teacher's lounge slowly getting to know each other, but not acting on feelings. Wow the health room scene. Once again Erin’s friends added a lot to the story. You have to read to see this couple's ups and downs and how they finally reach happiness together. Super Cute, Light Read

I’m always looking for a lighthearted, happy read and was happy to find that in Stuck with the Boss.

The main characters are precious and developed well enough to have you rooting for them. It’s nice to see the continuation of previous books in this series through little bits of information about those characters sprinkled in.

There are some spicy scenes and if that isn’t for you, skim through them and enjoy the rest of the story!

A perfect book to take with you on vacation or to enjoy with a glass of wine and a bubble bath. Enjoy!

This book was a 2.5 stars for me. It was easy to read and had an enjoyable plot. This follows Oliver, the headteacher who just moved from England and Erin, the maths teacher. It starts as enemies to lovers with Erin repeatedly embarrassing herself in front of him but this all changes when they’re forced to spend time on a teachers retreat together.

The only thing letting this story down a little was the style of writing for me and the very stereotypical English phrases Oliver kept repeating. Although I may be biased here because I live here and people do not speak like that.

I love all the Stuck With You books, but Erin's is definitely the best so far. I loved her and her personality. Her quirkiness and her horror dates were hilarious. I loved Oliver. He was the perfect match for Erin. Together, they had so much chemistry and complemented one another perfectly. I loved the story and the ending was amazing. I seriously cannot wait for Bree's story!!
