Various episodes from the lives of Gothamites are shown in this issue, lives torn apart due to the events of No Man’s Land. A man trying his best to steer the neighbourhood kids away from the drug peddlers and gangsters, two women fighting for the custody of a child, and Bruce Wayne quietly reflecting on the current state of affairs and his own sanity.

This is one of the better No Man's Land stories, having Batman be conflicted about what's right for a baby and whether it should go to either mother he comes across. Alfred also tells him a story about his dad that helps.
