It was decent but I felt like something was missing. Also! A rabbit shifter? I laughed a lot sorry but it was my first time reading about a rabbid shifter.

I received the ARC for free from BookSirenes, and this this is my honest opinion about the book.

I liked the story. I didn’t looooove it, though. There are a few scenes that could use a little bit more attention.
During my reading, I highlighted a few excerpts that I found odd and/or confusing.

Despite these few things I pointed out I’ll still read #2 in the trilogy.

I’m curious about how Rowan’s story will continue. The last part of the plot was really surprising. I wasn’t expecting it, which is certainly a plus.

this was fun! i've already forgotten what happened, but i know this was entertaining enough to finish in a day, and just a really easy, quick bite of romantasy for some escapism. characters were loveable, and actually had a few plot twists! super enjoyable :)

Started off strong then continued to get worse. I liked Rowan but I wanted to like her more and I just didn’t. In fact I didn’t really connect to any of the characters. The whole story, characters, setting… everything felt very superficial. Like a fake story. And the very interesting parts like shifters that shift into different animals was cool until she shifted. Honestly, I should have stopped reading then. Then, we get to the other plot twist and it feels so forced and not believable. I was completely done with the story by then. Just out of nowhere everything kept happening once she’s taken.

Maybe my expectations were too high.

Sounded so good but felt like it was a first draft Wattpad book written by a high schooler. I was going to stick it out cause it was short until the fmc turned into a rabbit.
Wtf? Lmao. Never heard of shifters but totally okay apparently being one within seconds?

Shifter books are some of my favorite reads but this completely missed the mark. Nothing made sense from page one. I never give out 1 star ratings even if I DNF but this was just 🥴

This was such a great urban fantasy romance! I loved this book’s unique concept and I found the main characters to be likable, especially the Rowan. I’ve never read a book quite like this one and I really enjoyed it. I look forward to reading the next book in this series, especially after the way this one left me hanging!

Good debut! Rowan is snarky and a bit prickly because she's been screwed over by people almost her whole life. I admire her grit and determination not to let anybody walk all over her. This starts out with a shifter storyline but evolves into much more. The worldbuilding here was neat, and I enjoyed learning the dynamics of the pack life. A couple twists might catch you unaware but definitely add to the intrigue of the storyline. Callan is a rogue shifter and a big ol' grump, but it's obvious he cares about Rowan. I loved seeing her tear down his walls a bit. One thing is for sure, the next part of the story is gearing up to be a wild ride, and I am here for it!

I haven't read a PNR book in a while and this one was definitely a nice surprise. I couldn't stop reading until I was on the last page.
Rowan is a sassy girl who seems to outrank almost everyone and it's hilarious because she didn't know until now that she is a shifter. It's even more funny because of what type of shifter she is. I really like her.
Then there is Wolfe and Callan she has a connection with both of them although with Callan it's stronger. It seems like Callan can't be her mate though because of past events, but I have a feeling the one he had wasn't truly his mate and he was magicked somehow.
There is also a murder mystery which they are trying to solve.
I don't know what to think about Oliver but I would kind of like to see all three of them in a relationship with Rowan.
I have so many questions after the cliffhanger that December can't come soon enough. I would kind of like to live in the author’s head so I would get my answers 😅
I'm giving it ⭐⭐⭐⭐ because there were some things I didn’t like. I didn’t expect OW drama, I don't like it when it's not clear what kind of relationship there will be in the books and I really hope there won't be a love triangle. I also didn't expect the story to lead this way and I don't honestly know if I would read it if I knew. I expected a “simple” shifter book not this. But on the other hand if I knew and wouldn't read it I would be really missing out.

Finally, a Paranormal romance that is full of creatures, action and realms. I haven't read a PNR in a while and this one had everything I love about them.
Just when you think this story is headed In one direction it suddenly changes and It keeps you guessing as to what this book is about. There is more to this story than just
A Paranormal Romance and that's why is different. This is the type of book that you will devoured in one day and then read the next book and all the books after.
I totally recommend this book it has everything- Action, shifters, magic, romance, spiciness and more.

SO THIS BOOK YALL! I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed reading this amazing story.

Young Adult Rowan does not really have anyone in life. Her boyfriend decided to cut ties by inviting a woman in their bed. Rowan sets out to decide her next move when she is involved in a car accident. When she wakes up she realizes life is not what it seems and finds herself in the woods on
pack compound. Everything she has ever known may not be the truth, but she meets some new friends along the way. She is enlisted to find answers which leads her to the root of who she really is.

I absolutely love Rowan's character. She is kick ass and steams off sass all day long. Which turns me to Callan! Do not even get me started. Hello brooding, grumpy, emerald eyes Callan. The grumpy hot guy gets me every time.

This book starts quick with action and just never slows down. This is a single POV from Rowan's perspective. So much happens and I was on the edge of my seat as the plot progressed. The world building was perfect. I am usually not fond of mystery type aspects of stories but I really enjoyed how it was woven into the plot. I was left guessing multiple times and gasped when I finally found out. Way to leave me engaged! I fully believe the writing was executed beautifully. I would absolutely read this book again. The ending is a cliff hanger and just makes you want more. Therefore, you will absolutely want to read the next book! I can't wait!! I am unwell and will be patiently waiting to see what happens next with Rowan and her friends/family.

I really enjoyed this book! I honestly wasn't sure what to expect when I read the summary, I'm so happy I applied for this one!

I found this story really interesting - the idea of shifters coming together in a pack to support each other and look after one another is so great. I loved Rowan and her attitude - she rightly was cautious but had an open heart to what was happening around her.

The action in this book is awesome! I'm a bit fantasy fan and I always enjoy the way writers set up their worlds. This was no exception.

There wasn't too much romance in the book - I think it's a slow burn and due to this being book 1 in a series. There is a few chapters with some spicy times, so enjoy that.

Midnight Mated was a lot of fun to read.
The first line sets the tone and gets you invested right away. Let me tell you, the action picks up immediately!

I think this book would be a great choice for someone that hasn't read about shifters before. It keeps a fast pace and the storyline flows well.
I can tell the author had fun writing this book. It's funny, it's magical, and even a little spicy. The shifter aspect was different than I've read before, which was exciting.

Rowan is the FMC and she was easy to like. Despite the things life throws at her, she is spunky and upbeat.
I liked the supporting characters too. Their personalities added a lot to the story.

Wow wow wow! When does the second book come out??

I stumbled upon this book after following the author on Instagram. I immediately signed up to receive an advanced copy after seeing some of Savannah’s promo posts.

This book hooked me right away. It wastes no time getting into the fantasy elements which kept me up late at night trying to get to the next chapter. I was so intrigued by what would happen next and it was nothing I could have predicted! The characters are easy to love and the writing is clear and descriptive. Book 1 ends on a semi-cliffhanger and I seriously cannot wait for Book 2!

Got an ARC copy of this book for an honest review.
This was 3.5 ⭐️, 1🌶️

I have to say the storyline is intriguing. There are a lot of directions she can go from here with this story. Without spoiling it we meet Rowan as she leaves her cheating dead beat ex and she falls into a supernatural world that she didn’t know existed. She finds unlikely friends and companions and starts out on a mission to solve the mystery happening in Clover.

There are some weird character choices, like her shift animal is such an odd choice. And there are hints at possible mates, but without any explanation as to how it could work between species and with other mates and such. The only thing that kept this from being a full 4 stars for me was the writing style. It was a lot of explaining instead of showing. Things get glossed over that should have more detail and some of the world building needed to be introduced earlier, so it didn’t feel like it came out of nowhere. Also there were a lot of spelling/grammar issues throughout the book.
With a good edit and some background filling in this could truly be a solid 4/4.5 star book.

If you are a fan of the Shiver series or the Raven Cycle then I think you would like this book. I would say with the level of spice in this story would make this book like those book's slightly older cousin who went off college and started having sex and drinking beer.

The story was fast paced with a couple twists that kept things interesting. I loved the main character's moxie. It think it made her very relatable. The world building was good but I think I would like to learn a little more about the back stories of the supporting characters. The pack being made up all different animals instead of just wolves was a nice touch. I literally laughed out loud at Rowen's reaction to learning her animal when she shifted the first time.

The only two qualms I had with this book is:
1. It had a few typos.(6-ish)
2. It was too short. The cliff hanger ending did its job and now I am super bummed that I have to wait for the next book to come out to find out what happens. Damn literary devices.

Midnight Mated had all the best things you hope for in a shifter novel: magic, murder, sexual tension, and a sassy FMC. Reminiscent of some of the stories on novel apps like Dreame and GoodNovel, except without all the misspellings and timeline inconsistencies - it was a great change of pace from some of the other shifter novels out there.

I'm rating it 4 out of 5 stars only because I wanted MORE. I wish the author had gone deeper, tugged the heartstrings more in those certain parts, and given us more time to real from the *woah* revelations at the end before leaving us on a cliffhanger.

This book started off strong. Really enjoyed the shifting aspect and was invested. The story started lose me when the FMC shifted. The animal totally did not fit her personality and it just threw me off. Ignoring that, I was still hopeful for the story. It really lost me when fae were introduced seemingly out of no where. It didn’t fit the storyline and just was a mess.

My thoughts:

Midnight Mated is a short new shifter romantasy read. Written in single point of view, the storyline and plot were easy to follow. The concepts of the witches and shifters way of life was introduced well. This book is really slow burn, however we do get some spice between Callan and Rowan.

The title of the book does suggest that there is a mating bond, however we don't get to see with who in this installment of the series. I have my suspicions though.

I do feel certain points in the book could bave been elaborated on more to increase the intrigue and really captivate the reader.

This book was excellent! It hooked me from the very first line and didn’t let go until it was done.

I really enjoyed the fast pace and intricate world building! I felt like I could see the forest and their homes. The book played just like a movie in my head and I was absorbed. There was vivid detail without bogging down the reader experience. Nicely done.

I also totally loved the characters and the interesting take on shifter packs. Having many different species in one pack was a new experience for me but I liked it.

The spice level is pretty slow burn, but what we do get is good.

My biggest complaint is that it ends on a cliffhanger and the next book doesn’t come out till December!!!

This book was a little bit of a slow start for men but then turned into a page turner Honestly, that could just be because of the events I had going on while I was reading it. So definitely don't let that stop you from reading this book.

Several times, I thought I knew what the outcome would be, but I was wrong. I definitely see that end coming. I really enjoyed the story. Rowan is sassy and smart, and she doesn't take crap from anyone, even if it's the alpha.

I also liked the (new to me) take on shifter packs. I haven't seen anyone do multi-species packs before. Usually, it's just wolves or just bears, etc.

I wish the book dragged the story out a little bit because it seems like it was over too soon. I'll be impatiently awaiting book 2 in December.

Oh wow I was not expecting that cliffhanger, and all that happened to happen! Now I need the next book! This became so much more than just a straight, simple shifter romance. I found it very enjoyable and a quick, easy read. I ate this up in just a few hours. I enjoyed the world built— well it’s urban fantasy, but I enjoyed the fantasy/supernatural elements and traditions that were thrown in. Don’t go into this expecting something HUGE like high fantasy and to completely sweep you off your feet. It’s just a good, enjoyable urban fantasy romance, and sometimes that exactly what is needed. Especially if you’re in a reading slump! Also these men 🥵
Also what our main girl shifts into… I got a crack other of that revelation 😂

Ohh I just love shifter stories. There is spice and mystery and violence and shifters. Honestly, what more could you want? I got sucked in and read this in one sitting. I flew through it. There is some hints at a romance with some spice, but no actual relationship. There is a lot of the main character learning about herself and her abilities, which is helpful in the first of a shifter series. Overall a good first book, I can’t wait to read the next one.

Rowan is having a no good, very bad day. She caught her (now ex) boyfriend balls deep in someone else in their apartment. With nothing left to keep her there she drives to the beach, her happy place. It’s only a couple of hours away. Only he won’t stop calling and texting, and when she glances at her phone, she doesn’t have time to avoid the massive animal that dashed out in front of her. Totaling her car, she manages to get out to look for the animal. Only to be attacked by it. She doesn’t remember anything until she wakes up in Alpha Wolfe’s care. But someone or something is killing shifters, and they need her to remember what happened to help track them down.

I really enjoyed reading this book. There were so many twist and turns that really kept your attention. The attention to detail with the world building was spot on and the character development was beautifully done. The whole time I was reading this I just felt myself being pulled farther into the story. Despite the world building and the character development being executed well, I will say that I felt that this book lacked some depth and the ending just felt like it was thrown together and the plot twist just kind of fell flat for me. Overall I did enjoy this book and had a hard time putting it down, and I can’t wait to see what happens in the next one.

This is the first book I’ve read from this author and I really liked the world building as well as its uniqueness. This is the first paranormal book that I’ve read that includes different shifters and had some fae and magic included. I loved Rowan’s sassy and funny personality and the mix between the different shifter packs made for an interesting read. I really wanted the story to be longer but that just makes the wait for book two worth it! With the twists and turns and that cliffhanger, I’m so excited to read Midnight Magic!!

More than just a wolf shifter story. There's a bear, wolf, panther, even a bunny... but I won't spoil who's who. 😏
