I didn’t want to go home for Thanksgiving. And I guess my wish got granted. I just wasn’t expecting our plane to explode.
Crashing into Frost Mountain was bad enough… But now I’m a wanted woman. And every second I spend on this mountain…is a moment closer to death. These people…they don’t like witches.
Except for him, of course. That steamy alpha wolf shifter. Being rescued by him in the snow was one thing. But now he’s made himself my protector. And there’s nothing I can say or do about it.
Nothing I can do except worry… Because protecting me means putting his village in danger. I’m just fanning the flames between him…and the man who wants me dead.
This alpha is fanning the flames of my desire. And no amount of cold or snow will put out the fire.
Author's Note: This is a steamy stand alone romance intended for mature audiences. It is part of the HOLIDAY SHIFTERS OF FROST MOUNTAIN series. You can expect to see your favorite characters overlap throughout the books.
Lisa Daniels is a (young) retired school teacher who resides in Miami. After five years of teaching, Lisa Daniels found that it wasn’t quite the world that she wanted to inhabit. After leaving her position, she moved to Miami. She hasn’t regretted it.
In her worlds, Lisa Daniels creates characters that go beyond the usual narrative. While they definitively include romance, Lisa Daniels strives to make the worlds more real with characters that are more than just cardboard cutouts of the genre. All of the main characters (and many of the secondary ones) have a rich history that span much longer than the stories themselves. This makes it easy to weave the stories together so that you can see characters you met in previous tales and see how they have managed since.
The Dragons of Letera is her first standalone series. Letera is a world teaming with romance, action, and stories – it is a world that Lisa Daniels loves to explore with her readers, one character at a time.
Sometimes fate doesn’t just reroute your flight—it drops you straight into another world. A Blizzard Plane Crash Thanksgiving by Lisa Daniels is an emotional, fast-paced blend of survival, supernatural danger, and slow-burning romance that keeps your heart racing and your hope alive even in the coldest moments.
Amanda never wanted to go home for Thanksgiving, but she certainly didn’t plan for her plane to explode midair and crash into the icy wilderness of Frost Mountain. Waking up bruised, alone, and terrified, she discovers two impossible things: her limited magic may have saved her life—and she’s no longer in the world she once knew. When Alpha wolf shifter Micah rescues her, their connection is immediate, dangerous, and undeniable. But bringing a witch into his village puts everyone he loves at risk.
Lisa Daniels crafts a story that’s not just about surviving the snowstorm—it’s about surviving guilt, fear, and the fire of forbidden attraction. Amanda’s struggle to find her sister, protect those around her, and come to terms with her power feels deeply human, even as it unfolds against a backdrop of magic and shifters. Micah, the fierce protector with a soft spot he tries to hide, brings warmth and gravity to every scene he’s in. Together, they navigate a storm that’s more than weather—it’s fate, fear, and a love they never expected.
What makes A Blizzard Plane Crash Thanksgiving shine is the emotional heartbeat beneath the action. It’s about connection in isolation, trust when everything feels dangerous, and love that burns even in the coldest places. The sparks between Amanda and Micah glow quietly at first—then ignite into something fierce and real.

Amanda (h) and her sister, Maddie, are on their way home for Thanksgiving when a midflight disaster sees them plummeting towards a snowy mountain and only Amanda’s quick use of her limited magical abilities save them from death. She discovers that she isn’t in Nebraska, or Kansas for that matter, but instead on Frost Mountain where she’s rescued by Alpha wolf shifter Micah (H). Given their past experiences with witches, his small community is unhappy that he’s brought a witch amongst them, and she soon finds that her abilities have placed a target squarely on her. The pair find themselves drawn together as they face a series of challenges and increasing dangers they’ll have to overcome before reaching their HEA. The worldbuilding and threads of the storyline are really imaginative and hint at stories of other passengers on Flight 18 who find themselves trapped in the dimension of Frost Mountain. The romance took a while to build, and the heat was a little light, but given all the extenuating challenges Amanda and Micah experience, theirs is the beginnings of an emotional relationship.
Amanda & Maddy Byrne are on a plane on their way to visit their father for Thanksgiving. However, they really didn’t want to because their dad disliked that they could use magic. He blamed magic as the cause of their mother’s death. However, they don’t make it there. Their plane breaks up over Frost Mountain, which is in another dimension. Various shifter tribes live on the mountain, and there is no way out. There are different portals onto Frost Mountain. It is sort of like the Bermuda Triangle. Humans have ended up there from plane crashes and even ship crashes. I found that a bit freaky. The two main clans we deal with in book 1 are the Whitehounds (good guys) & the Blackclaws, which were led by Adrian, Micah’s uncle.
This new world was fascinating and I can’t wait to see what happens next. I hope Maddie gets a love interest and we find out what happened to the rich lady that sat next to the sisters.

Amanda Byrne and her sister Maddie are flying to Chicago to join their father for Thanksgiving, although they don’t want to. Maddie has a feeling something bad will happen, and she is correct when their plane crashes. Amanda wakes and her sister is gone! A man is standing in front of her. She knows he is a shifter; he knows she is a witch. Injured, she passes out again and he carries her to his village for treatment, but she can feel the hostility toward her. Impatient and not willing to wait, Amanda took off by herself to find Maddie. Of course, she got lost in the woods and Adrian Blackclaw was a danger to her if he got ahold of her. Micah, the shifter who rescued Amanda, takes off after her. Will he find her in time? With Amanda’s main and only concern being her missing sister, will Micah try to help her find Maddie? Can she return the favor and help the village with their problem?
This was probably not the book to read right before I'm off on a couple of plane flights but oh, what an adventure for Amanda! I don't want to give away the story but I can say I loved Amanda and Micah. Even though they had grown up in totally different circumstances, they'd both faced hardship in their past. I liked they were both more interested in looking out for others than for themselves. I would have enjoyed an epilogue set 5-10 years out but hopefully future books in the series will have this couple in it.

On their way to see their abusive father, sisters Amanda and Maddie's plane suddenly begins breaking up after hitting a wall of magic. A village of wolf shifters does a search and only finds a lone survivor. Amanda regains consciousness and stares at the face of Micah, asking him where her sister is before she loses consciousness again. This short read has action, bias, romance, and steam, ending in a HEA. Very highly recommended.

Ms. Daniels & Ms. Stone pack a lot into this story, a plane crash, witches, shifters and a mysterious mountain. I love holiday stories with romance, some spicy bits and substance. The descriptions are so real I could feel the cold and during the plane crash my heart was racing! I recommend this story and anything else written by these authors, they are great together and on their own!.

She is found by a group of hunters (shapeshifters) led by Micah. When. She awakes again, she finds herself in village of shapeshifters who have chosen to live far away from human settlements. Amanda’s determination to find her sister brings her into conflict with Micah. As they locate and rescue her sister, Amanda and Micah come together and find more than they expected.
This novella is the first in a new series, Holiday Shifters of Frost Mountain, and is a steamy romance between beings from different species. It is adventurous, o romantic tale set in an extreme environment who find they may have more in common than they do in differences. This story is entertaining, intriguing and a good start to a new series.

I liked how Micah and Amanda find each other and how they both help to protect the village. Even better is how the feud is resolved leaving Micah and Amanda free to be together.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
A Blizzard Plane Crash Thanksgiving is book one in the series Holiday Shifters of Frost Mountain by authors Scarlett Stone & Lisa Daniels. Ok this is action packed, fast paced read. Lots happening between these pages. Only issue is that (in my opinion) there was no closure. What happened to the packs? What about the curse? So many questions. Enjoy
Great story that I really liked! It definitely held my attention.
Amanda and Maddie's flight to see their Dad for Thanksgiving never makes it. crashes on Frost Mountain but no one knows what happens to it. When Micah arrives, she is the only one there as and the have to figure out where Maddie and the third woman went.

A Blizzard Plane Crash Thanksgiving (Holiday Shifters of Frost Mountain)
This was a very interesting take on shifters, and witches. Take an unexpected plane crash in a remote mountain range, add in witches and wolves, and you have an experience you would never have thought would happen.
A female witch and her sister are traveling by plane from Vegas to Chicago. The plane explodes into pieces. Her sister is out cold and so is another woman that was sitting next to them. You will have to read the book to find out what all happens to everyone. Plenty of twists and turns. Happy reading!

A story of tragedy, magic, and love. Amanda's story is tragic and when she crashes, quite literally, into Micah's life she finds another survivor like herself. The story is interesting and fast paced. The world building is great. Overall, a great paranormal romance set around Thanksgiving.
This was a pretty interesting story! I like the mystery that is Frost Mountain, and the relationship building is pretty believable. They haven't known each other long, but it's not exactly insta-love. Their bond builds from what they have in common and what they've been through together. I'm looking forward to reading more from the series!
Add in one witch, one shifter, and a plane crash and got an entertaining story. Had drama, intrigue, danger, magic, shifters, and a village with trouble. Was entertaining and fun to read. Had to see what would happen with Amanda and Micah. Plus some secrets to liven things up.
Heading to spend Thanksgiving with their unloving father was bad enough ... but then the plane broke apart in a mountain area that didn't exist ... and it was snowing and freezing! Would they be able to survive?
It was a strange story because of witchcraft but it was a good read. When magic is involved strange things happen. I liked how it turned out just sad that their Thanksgiving meal was ruined.
A great short read and glad that her sister was alive and that she finally stood up for herself and finally believed in herself and that fact that she saved the Apla’ s mother which brought them closer together.
A fantastic first book!! Lots of exciting action and hot romance. Definitely keeps your attention from beginning to end. Can't wait to read the rest of this series.
Amazing read. The flow from beginning to end was amazing. Everything a reader could want is in this book. Rivalry, blood thirsty evil uncle, and most of all romance.
I couldn’t put it down once I started reading it. Shifters and witches with a little heat . So fascinating to be drawn into this fantasy world. Looking forward to the next.
This was a really good short read. I stayed interested & will probably look into other books in this series & by this author. Compared to other romance books I’ve read there’s not alot of spice, really just one scene, but I didn’t expect too much due to the length.
Overall a very good shifter story. Excitement from what will happen next is definitely in the story. It was a quick read so, if you need a quick story as a palette cleanser this would be a good one to read. 1.5 chilies for spice.
A Blizzard Plane Crash Thanksgiving is a wonderfully entertaining holiday story. It has a little drama, a romance, and paranormal action. What more do you need to get Thanksgiving off with a bang!
