Holy hell!! This book was a delight! A smutty, cutesy, swoony delight! I enjoyed every single damn minute of reading this. I alternated between giggling and sweating the whole book. Blaze and Mads are freaking adorable! And I am here for it!
Add in the fact that this is a DEBUT novel! 🤯 This book reads like the author has been doing this for YEARS!

I have so many good things to say here! The banter and dialogue between Blaze and Mads is top notch. She moved to Boston to intern for a sports reporting entity, but ended up with a part-time job as Blaze’s assistant, and they just fit together seamlessly. Playboy falls hard for Mads and even when they are just friends, he is a total simp, and I love him and how cute their friendship is.
Then when he overhears a conversation about Mads bedroom preferences, he decides to be EXACTLY what she needs. 😉
Look, it’s hard for a story to earn 🔥🔥🔥🔥 rating from me, but this spice was SPICIN. The Dom/sub dynamics were so good, and I swear I was about to combust when Daddy Blaze came out to play. Chapter 32!!! Like that’s permanently seeded into my brain. That’s all I’ll say 🫠🫠
And there was even some football!!! And even better, a team of guys you are gonna love! (Please give me Tanner’s story)
I’m not joking when I say I consumed this in a matter of hours! It’s just a great time, and there is just a little bit of outside drama and plot to make it feel well paced with a good story. And let’s face it, we need more women in sports so..

Ok, don't go in expecting this to be just a smutty football romance. It's a slow burn, with no 🌶🌶 really until about the halfway point, but then it is spicy, and oh so good. And even better? This book has plot. And they communicate. And they value each other's career goals. And the way he learned her kinks and dominated it (pun intended) 🤤
I love both of these characters, and even the side characters. You can tell they all care about one another so much. And a lot of the interactions just had me chuckling so much. I'm really hoping the besties have a book of their own because I would love to see them get together. And Tanner...what's his story?? I need it!

I was not expecting this book to be so good or smutty! I was so pleasantly surprised by how much I loved this book!
Hot Route is told in a dual POV by Blaze and Mads. Blaze is a hot shot football player and Mads is a girl who just moved to Boston for an internship to be a female sports reporter. Mads picks up a second job to be an assistant and when she shows up to her new job, Blaze opens the door. The attraction between these two obviously is instant and they fight their attraction to one another for a while.
Mads and Blaze become really good friends but when Mads needs to find a new place to stay that will threaten her time in Boston, our boy Blaze comes to the rescue and offers her a room in his house. As you can imagine living under one roof allows their attraction and friendship to grow and they begin to cross boundaries. One of those boundaries is when Blaze helps Mads out in a way that many can not. I mean this man learns how to "take care" of her.

First off if you’re thinking about reading this, do it now! I regret keeping this on my TBR as long as I did.

This man is so down bad for her that he learns how to be the Dom of her dreams. 🔥
Aside from the spice Blaze turns out to be a golden retriever boyfriend who spoils his girl with love, gifts and all the cuddles. These two had a solid friendship that made the chemistry off the charts.
I loved this read so much. I can’t wait to binge Dalton & Dia’s story. Their little cameos have me so exciting.
CL has made a fan outta me and I will now be reading everything she writes.

Tough to call this a book. It's giving they printed a random Tumblr fanfic and stapled it together. Could have called the protagonist Y/N, and it would have made no difference. The story is hollow and serves solely as a vehicle for spice without the sugar and everything nice. Sugar being three-dimensional characters; everything nice is depth.

I give into peer pressure super easily and my book besties told me to get into this series so here I am!
I really enjoyed this book! It was a debut novel and it was really good. I loved the banter between Mads and Blaze; they were very flirty and I love that between main characters.
This book was low angst, funny, great main and side characters, and a little Insta lovey. It’s not usually my jam but this was done really well.
This writing style has definitely pulled me in and I’m looking forward to the rest of the series!

The relationship that Blaze and Mads is so perfect and I love how easy going they are around each other! The banter and tension between them is hilarious and hot AF! When the spice hits, it definitely HITS! I loved that there was no 3rd act breakup and couldn't get enough of them! Their communication was top tier and I love how trusting they are in each other, especially with exploring kinks! This was a perfect way to kick off the series and I will absolutely be devouring the rest of the series ASAP.

Baby doll had me. I liked blaze ALOT. I liked Mads being smart career driven. Some good little laughs in there. Dalton is hilarious. Dia is hilarious.
But I think I just read about overcharged hormonal teenagers, and it all happened real quick. Like what?! What world does all that happen in a blink. But had my attention at bdsm. And practically was red tube. Last 20% ooft. Anyways I finished it. And cried through the epilogue.
And with all that said, I’ll read daltons

I love the dynamic of the characters and Blaze was the perfect mix of golden retriever and dom daddy. I appreciated the fact that he wasn’t conflicted by his love for Mads.
I was bothered that she just left to go home but at least she realized her mistake right away.
I feel like I would have given it a 4 🌶️ if there were more scenes. While the scenes were spicy, there weren’t as many throughout the book.

Blaze was absolutely chefs kiss. Loved Madison so much! All the tension building in this book was so freaking good. When it got spicy, it got spiccccyyyyyy.

I had the absolute pleasure of alpha/beta reading this debut novel and it was such a cool process to see the story develop from the very beginning. Blaze and Mads will definitely always have a special place in my heart 😍 She did such a fantastic job on her first book and I cannot wait for more from this universe of delicious football players.
Blaze is a pro football player in Boston, known for his playboy ways and golden retriever energy. Madison moved to Boston to pursue a journalism career and ends up with a side gig as Blaze's assistant. The more time they spend together the more they try to fight their budding feelings. When Blaze finds out Mads is constantly disappointed in her dates not "meeting her needs", he takes matters into his own hands.. literally 😏.
I LOVED everything about Blaze and Mads. Their energy was SO FUN. They're both super playful and flirty. The banter was great, the internal monologues were HILARIOUS. And I'm absolutely OBSESSED with the fact that SHE was the one into BD$M and he learned things for her. I feel like it's often the other way around, which is delicious too, but I really enjoyed this unique spin on it. And 😮💨😮💨😮💨was Blaze a quick study. The things that came out of this man's mouth 🥵 TOP👏NOTCH👏DIRTY 👏TALK👏 and chp 32. ☠️☠️☠️. Rent free. Forever.
2nd best relationship in the book goes to Mads and Dia. They are unhinged best friend GOALS and i am salivating for Dia's story. The ending was 👌👌 The conflict absolutely made sense and I'm always pleasantly surprised when there's no 3rd act breakup. And the epilogue 🥺😍 All in all if you like spicy football romance (with ACTUAL football scenes in it) you need to give this one a try!

I went into this book completely blind other than I love the author and have been wanting to dive into her books. This story was equal parts sweet and spicy and I honestly could’ve read another 200 pages of these two.
Madison has always dreamed of being a sports reporter. When she lands her dream internship and realizes she’ll have to hustle to make ends meet she winds up as a personal assistant for none other than one of the hottest guys on the Boston Blizzard NFL team, Blaze Beckett. The second Madison walks through his door, Blaze realizes he doesn’t ever want to let her walk back out. Convincing her to give him a chance tho? That takes some real work.
These two were absolutely kicking my feet giggling adorable. I loved their working relationship as well as the friendship that developed between them throughout the story. While there were hints of Madison’s *ahem* spicier interests….once it was revealed and our boy Blaze found out? OOOOOOF. I love a good k!nk exploration trope and this DELIVERED.
I had a feeling things were just too good to be true so when the proverbial sh*t hit the fan GURL I was sad. I wanted to give lil Mads a big ol squeezie but then give her a big shake and tell her to LET THAT MAN LOVE YOU AND TAKE CARE OF YOU. 4.5 scenes with a few that are Dom/Sub but nothing too crazy.
Maddie suddenly finds herself as the live-in assistant for a super hot hockey player named Blaze. They have a lot of chemistry and sparks fly but they try to keep their distance. And they aren’t exactly sexually compatible because Maddie likes things a certain way. But Blaze being the amazing guy he is, sets out to learn exactly how Maddie likes things. This book is short and sweet, and while there is some dom/sub stuff it’s actually pretty tame and we don’t just have scene after scene. It spices up your typical romance read (see what I did there) and provides us with some different types of spice but it’s not super in your face for those that aren’t really into that genre.

Maddie suddenly finds herself as the live-in assistant for a super hot hockey player named Blaze. They have a lot of chemistry and sparks fly but they try to keep their distance. And they aren’t exactly sexually compatible because Maddie likes things a certain way. But Blaze being the amazing guy he is, sets out to learn exactly how Maddie likes things. This book is short and sweet, and while there is some dom/sub stuff it’s actually pretty tame and we don’t just have scene after scene. It spices up your typical romance read (see what I did there) and provides us with some different types of spice but it’s not super in your face for those that aren’t really into that genre.

This follows Blaze and Madison (Mads).
Madison moves to Boston for an internship. She is hoping to become a sports reporter and the internship can result in a fully paid position that is a steppingstone to her ideal career.
Blaze is a pro football player for the team there. He's a flirty playboy that struggles to keep up with his schedule outside of football.
Since the internship pays less than expected, Madison needs a second part time job. She ends up working for a company that supplies assistants for the wealthy. Blaze's agent hires her.
Blaze is basically obsessed with her from the minute he opens his door to her. She spends a lot of time with him helping him with his schedule and appearances. A little bit into the job Mads finds herself in need of a new place to live and talks her into moving into his home.
They are seriously adorable, playing house while she's there. I loved reading about them watching movies, having food fights, and all of their antics with his best friend. You could feel the bond and emotions forming between them. He finds out about her preference in the bedroom and despite it being outside of his comfort zone, he learns it and provides it for her.
I swooned so hard for Blaze. Literally, cheesy smiled throughout the entire book. He's definitely an ideal book boyfriend. The things he did for her...so good! And they were both hilarious. I was laughing out loud at parts.
I want so much more! I can't wait for Tanner's book...IYKYK.

My first CL Rose book and I absolutely gobbles this sh*t up. SO GOOD.
Madison has just been offered an internship in Boston at one of her dream companies where she's hoping to one day get a permanent job in sports journalism. Being a woman in sports is hard and gaining respect is even harder. While in Boston working as an intern, she quickly realizes that cost of living on a intern salary may not exactly cut it, which is why she gets a side gig as a personal assistant. What Mads doesn't expect is to be the PA for the Boston Blizzard's star receiver, Blaze Beckham. Hot, irresistibly charming, and so so fine, Blaze is dangerously attractive. And as Mads and Blaze spend more time together, even though their relationship started off professional, their chemistry might just be too good to deny.
CL Rose has perfectly set up this series and I just know I'm going to love every single second of it. I already love our cast of characters, the banter, the spice, the strong, independent women who don't need no man (but end up scoring a hot, incredibly thoughtful and talented NFL superstar anyway lol).
Anddd this has one of my favorite elements - k!nk !!! So if that's your jam, this book is most certainly for you.

This is C.L. Rose’s debut football romance and WOW…I was absolutely blown away! Seriously I stayed up way too late to finish bc how could I not.

The more they around each other the stronger the pull between them comes.
I have so many good things to say here! The banter and dialogue between Blaze and Mads is top notch. And I cannot forget the spice! Those were some of the steamiest scenes I have read lately. CHAPTER 32!!!! That will forever be in my head. The Dom/sub dynamics were so good, and I swear I was about to combust when Daddy Blaze came out to play. He is definitely a top tier book man for me!
I cannot recommend one this enough, this was seriously so good. I was so pleasantly surprised how much I loved. I cannot wait to get stories for the other guys on the team.

Blaze falls hard for Mads and when she says she may have to go back home if she can't find a new place to live Blaze decides he's not gonna let her, he wants her and he needs time to get her on the same page so he offers for her to move in with him.
One night Blaze overhears a conversation she's having with her friend about what she likes in the bedroom he wants to be that guy for her and learns what he can do to satisfy her in the way she needs. Color my surprised but dang I did not expect this kinda heat holy hot 🥵 and the dom/sub kink 🔥
The way I loved these two they are adorable, playful, flirty and Blaze was unexpected phew he took his skills to a whole nother level... Sweet to flilty just like that! He is everything she needed. Fabulous book boyfriend the support and things Blaze does for Mads 🥰

Okay wow. I adored this book!
Madison moves to Boston for an internship in hopes of landing a job at the end of it. Once she gets to Boston, she lands a side job as an assistant to Blaze Beckham, star wide receiver for the Blizzards. But when her housing situation changes, she ends up as Blaze’s roommate and they can’t help but fall for each other.
The chemistry between Blaze and Madison was so good and I loved their internal dialogue on wondering whether they felt the same. Blaze was the perfectly written book boyfriend in how he learned new things to be able to take care of Madison.
This was such a fun story and quick read and I loved the side characters! The humor in this book was next level and had me cackling throughout. I am looking forward to the next stories!

Infinity Stars!!! This is soooooo incredible! I am mad it took me this long to read it. But C.L. Rose has a lifelong fan in me forever now!!! I could not put this down. I love Blaze and Mads soooo much! They are soooo perfect for each other. Their chemistry together is hot and sweet and fire!!! I could read five more books just about them. They had me swooning over and over!
