Cassie is an ordinary woman living an ordinary life. That is until a mysterious man begins to visit her in her dreams. The man seems familiar, and she feels no threat as he comes to her night after night. His name is Daniel, and he’s not just a dream. He’s her soul mate. But their love comes with a twist. She has lived three previous lives with him, while Daniel, an immortal, has only lived one.
Cassie couldn’t be happier as she believes the unbelievable and settles into her new life with Daniel. And then the nightmares begin. Unlike her dreams with Daniel that left her feeling safe and comforted, the new dream visitor fills her with fear and dread.
Daniel is not the only one of his kind. There are others like him, whom he refers to as Those Who Aren’t. Some go into madness from loneliness and despair. Others use their existence for greed and evil. One has taken a particular interest in Daniel and can no longer contain their jealous rage. Daniel and Cassie’s love has stood the test of time, but can it withstand the chaos and terror of Those Who Aren’t?
I absolutely loved this book. If you are looking for a little bit of romance, thriller, and mystery all in one this book is for you! It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire read, there was not one point that I anticipated what would happen next. It was definitely a page turner and I highly recommend you read this book! I loved following Cassie’s story and learning more about Daniel and their past together as the plot progressed. As well as the struggles they endured with Edith, making you feel bad for her and angry at her at the same time. I can’t wait to see more from this author.
This was a thriller mystery with romance mixed in. It was fade to black on the bedroom scenes of you don’t like explicit content. I loved the beautiful story of Cassie and Daniel, even though it was often sad. The reincarnation part of the story was amazing. Overall, I enjoyed this book. I did not like the ending, although I will say I have not read a romance book with an ending like that. But I guess not every ending is a fairy tale like most romance books these days. So I still gave it 4 stars because I enjoyed the unique and suspenseful story until the ending.
This book was recommended to me by a customer. It was a very excited to read it based on the TikTok that my customer was telling me about related to the book. I will say I absolutely loved the ending and the way Cassie died Absolutely threw me for a loop. Like I didn’t see that coming at all. However, I feel like the book read very roughly and in some parts very awkwardly. I definitely think there is room for improvement, and will be curious to see what will be written next.
