Pine Village #3

Pretty Drunk

Rate this book
Hallie

No one pushes my buttons the way Logan Johnson does. I’ve spent most of my adult life trying to ignore him, which isn’t easy when you live in a small town and share the same friends.

So, when I have a little too much to drink and need a place to crash after our friends’ wedding, it would figure I find myself at Logan’s house. What I’m not expecting is ending up in his bed. With him. Naked. More so, I wasn’t anticipating enjoying myself as much as I did, anxious for a repeat, which is why I’m not surprised when it happens again.

The problem is those drunken nights have resulted in something unplanned. Something monumental. Something that will change our lives forever.

Logan

Being attracted to someone who drives you completely crazy is its own form of hell. Hallie Rhodes is entirely infuriating, yet so damn beautiful it makes me ache.

There’s a fine line between love and hate, and we’ve been blurring it for as long as I can remember. So, when a late, drunken night turns into something it shouldn’t, all bets are off. Plans change and futures are cemented, despite having no idea what really comes next. All I know is the more time we spend together, the more I realize having her in my life is paramount.

Now my biggest challenge of all presents itself. Proving to Hallie we’re better together than we ever were apart.

Avid reader, writer, mother, and wife! I love to read contemporary romance. Add in a little "spice" or hot guys in uniform pants, and I'm a happy woman. There's just something about diving into a book and engrossing in the magic of your hero and heroine getting their happily ever after.

4 Stars!

Lacey Black has a new book out in her swoony Pine Village Series and it was all hands on deck when this beauty landed on my kindle. Pretty Drunk gives us Logan and Hallie's story and y'all, this is one you do not want to miss.

One drunken night is going to gives these two something more than they expected.. but sometimes the unexpected is exactly what is needed.

From the beginning these two had me hooked. If you've read this story then you know the banter and heat between these two was bound to come to a head and boy did it in a big way for Logan and Hallie. Packed cover to cover with heart, heat, and all the feels... this is one that will hook you hard and fast and won't let go until the pages quit turning.

I adore Lacey and all of her words, characters and I'm super excited for the next in this series.

I can't recommend this author and series enough y'all.

I love Lacey Black books, but this one, not so much. The ANGST was off the charts! I hate angst and this went through the entire book. Loved the H, he was so sweet and caring. I did not like the h, she was mean and didn't give the H much credit.

SPOILER ALERT:
The ex-wife should have been dealt with early on. The readers knew, everybody knew, but Logan did not, that Shay's house was not flooding and didn't require Logan to come over. You would think, with him married to her bef0re and all her manipulation, that he would be smart enough to tell her to take a hike and not let her do half the stuff she got away with. She got hers in the end, but in the last 15 pages, really doesn't make it as rewarding.

I really hate the assumption of the H and h on what the other one was thinking. They love each other, but won't tell each other because they ASSUME the other one doesn't feel the same. This went on throughout the book! Waiting until the last 10 pages to tell each other they love them, is so not right. Thus the reason I hate angst and I ended up skimming so much of this book. 2.5 stars for me, only because I love Lacey's writing, but this story was not on my list to read again.

Gahhh I just love this book. This is book three in the pine village series. All the books are interconnected but can be read as a standalone. This is Hallie and Logan’s story.

The Fmc, Hallie , hasn’t really liked Logan since high school. But they have mutual friends and are often in the same circles. She’s always been a bit on the curvy side and in high school it often made her self conscious. She works as a preschool teacher in their local town.

Logan, is divorced and runs the local hardware store with his ex wife bc she refuses to sell her portion. Logan is also good friends with Hallie’s brother.

At a friend’s wedding Hallie gets drunk and ends up locking her keys in her car. Logan brings her to his house and they end up having a one night stand.

The night of Hallie’s 36th birthday they spend another night together and Hallie ends up pregnant. From here there relationship starts to grow. I loved how they navigated trials and tribulations they had to face and watched their relationship change over time.

Another great book from Lacey and can’t wait for Ava and Gavin’s book. Thank you to Give me books pr for allowing me to read in advance.

A Swoony, Spicy Small Town Romance

It’s not shocking that I’m obsessed with Lacey Black and her books! This book was NO different! If you're looking for a small town, enemies to lovers romance with forced proximity and a surprise pregnancy, then this is one you need to check out ASAP. Logan Johnson is part owner of his hardware business and Hallie Rhodes is a preschool teacher. They have known each other for years, but do not get along. However, one steamy, drunk night changes everything. These two are the definition of an old married couple with their back-and-forth verbal sparring. The story keeps us turning the pages enlightening the reader to their insecurities, realizations and steamy moments. Add a crazy ex-wife and supportive family and friends, this book has it ALL! Make sure your E-readers are charged and your calendar is clear. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for our next couple!!
Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review. Even though I received this for free, I have purchased the ebook copy of this book and the previous ones in the series for my Kindle.

I liked this one.

Nicely written with lots of interesting details and events going on. The chemistry between our two mains was good as well. I love the angst, their playful banter, their push and pull, cat and mouse game,… And they stayed it that way even after they got together, hell to the yeah I was loving it here.

However, while the overall was nice and all, I can’t help but feel like there was something missing here and there along the way.

What happened during that time jump at around 60%? Did the ex do something? Because I knew for sure people like her would create dramas just for fun. What were her brother and parents’ reactions to them being together, or at least having a baby together? … Like so much happened in between that I think would add a lot of spice and sense into the storyline but sadly, they all happened off page.

Also, in my opinion, the ending would have been better if the actual epilogue was not the epilogue, just the part before where they settled down, then the bonus was the epilogue, it was more reasonable and complete that way tbh.

Still, this was a pretty good read and I did have a great time.

Love this book. Love Hallie and Logan’s romance story. Logan is a good friends with some of Hallie’s friends. Throughout books 1 and 2 Hallie and Logan argue constantly and she seems like she can’t stand him. Logan and Hallie end up spending one night together after she locks her keys in her vehicle. That night was suppose to be a one night thing but they end up doing it again after Hallie’s birthday party. One of Hallie’s friends invites Logan to Hallie’s birthday party. At her birthday party, Logan and Hallie end up playing arcade games. After the birthday party, Hallie and Logan once again end up spending the night together. She ends up avoiding Logan for three weeks. She ends up feeling queasy and has one of her friends do a pregnancy test on her. The test comes back positive. She ends up telling Logan and he was really supportive of it. Throughout this time, Hallie and Logan start to fall in love with each other. As Hallie’s friends told her, their disagreements were like foreplay in them being together. Love how these two end up together. Worth the read.

Woohooo, after watching Hallie and Logan with their "foreplay" in the past two stories, it finally hit the boiling point and after Ellie and TD's wedding the two have a bit of drunken fun. Neither wants to admit it to themselves that it was the best night ever, even if they were drunk, but they also can't seem to stay away from each other and tango again after the fact. Will the two go back to the hate/love relationship they have always had or will their fun times move them in a different direction?

I was ready for Hallie and Logan's story and it did not disappoint one bit! We get great drama, chemistry and naughty bits that are super freaking hot. I give this 5 stars.

This book was another amazing read in this series. These two are definitely following the thin line between love and hate. The banter, the chemistry and whoops that happens makes this book an entertaining read from beginning to end. It’s like they both just love to be jerks to each other. Hallie and Logan don’t know how to not get under each other’s skin or pants! lol This book will have you laughing and smiling, but also want to punch Logan’s ex in the face. It was pure entertainment. I think these two were my favorite couple. Do not hesitate to read this book, it’s a must read!!!
I highly recommend this book. Told in dual POV.

This book had some of my favorite tropes, in an awesome town, with characters that I’ve been loving getting to know. Hallie and Logan were no different. I couldn’t put this story down and had to know what happened. And neglecting household duties to find out how it ended! Can’t wait for more!

In Pine Village, even frenemies get their happily ever after.

Hallie and Logan have featured heavily in the first two books and they might not be enemies per se, but they don't really get along either. Logan enjoys pushing every one of Hallie's buttons he can find and Hallie is quick with an insult or jab whenever he is around.

Some of their banter from the earlier books was great for a laugh and I could guess that these two were going to end up together at some point. Lacey Black did a great job of creating a story that fit not just the characters but it made sense with their back story too.

Hallie hasn't a great track record with love, her last boyfriend was married to his job and she came second all the time. Logan lost his chance at a football career after an injury returned to the town he loved and married the wrong woman.

They've got some baggage and plenty to make them cautious with relationships. This gives them the perfect start with a drunken night that they can't forget and when they fall into that same trap it ends with a little something extra.

Logan was just the sweetest with the way he was after finding out Hallie's news and he was a saint when having to deal with his ex. She was a piece of work for sure. I kind of wish she'd gotten more after what she put him through.

Hallie is fiercely independent and she's got a huge heart for those she loves. She'll do anything for her friends and family. That includes Logan despite how much he drives her crazy. She never thought she'd see having any kind of relationship with him but she gets to see a whole new side to Logan and it doesn't drive her crazy at all.

Watching these two come together was beautiful and I really enjoyed their journey to happily ever after.

Thankfully we'll be going back to Pine River again. I can't wait.
.
.
.
It's a day of celebrating not only the wedding of their friends Ellie and TD but Blair and Gabe are newly engaged. Meanwhile, Hallie's ex is trying to convince her to take him back but she knows she'll be the second priority to his work and she knows she deserves better. On top of that, Logan is pushing her buttons as always.
'Let me tell you, Logan Johnson has one hell of an ass. Of course, he is one hell of an ass too, but that's not what I'm focusing on right now. His ass is firm, round, and looks amazing in a pair of jeans.'

Logan has promised to clean up after the celebration so that Ellie and TD can get to their wedding night. Tonight cleaning up also includes getting a very drunk Hallie home. After she locks her keys in the car he decides that she'll have to stay the night at his house. After leaving her passed out Logan thinks the rest of the night will be uneventful, until Hallie awakes and it turns out she may not hate him as much as she claims.
"I'm not taking you back to my house to take advantage of you, Hallie. You're safe with me."
"I know," I whisper getting closer to his amazing scent, "but I haven't decided if you're safe with me yet."

In the morning Hallie is gone and just like Logan expected it was one night and no matter how much he might want a repeat Hallie still doesn't like him. After her birthday, Logan is left taking Hallie home again and their one-time night turns into two.
"Feels good,"
"What does?" I ask, trying to fight from falling asleep, but knowing it's a losing battle. "Being bad with you."

Hallie didn't plan on her and Logan spending more time together but she finds that he drives her crazy and she kind of likes it. He's not as annoying as she thought he was and he's actually a good friend. But their reckless night together has left them with something that will connect them forever.
"I'm pregnant."
'Her words take several seconds to infiltrate my brain. They just sort of float out there without making any impact on me. Until suddenly, they do. They impact hard, like a wrecking ball slamming into my guy, knocking me on my ass.'

They may not be together but Logan will be by her side through it all no matter how much Hallie fights him on it. He's always wanted to be a father and maybe he and Hallie can be something more than just co-parents. Now Hallie is moving in and Logan doesn't want it to come to an end but he's not sure Hallie will ever feel the same.
"The day you told me you were pregnant. That gave me the authority to do whatever it took to protect both you and my baby, and this qualifies. You need a place to stay, and I'll be that place."

Happy Reading.

Ahhhh.... This series.... I seriously can't get enough of it. Each new couple in each new book has made their place in my heart and I can't get over the sweet, swoon filled heroes that we meet nor their equally sassy and smart counterparts.

We finally get the book of Hallie and Logan. I've been waiting to read their book after reading book 1 and their love-hate relationship and their barbs kinda banter had me so excited to get my hands on this book and after reading it, I'm having a huge smile on my face.

Hallie is a school teacher and Logan, the local hardware shop owner. These two have the same group of friends who are more like family.
Although they all celebrate occasions together and are there for each other, yet Hallie and Logan are the only two from the group who always love to throw barbs at each other.

Hallie loves to cross anything that Logan says or does and Logan loves to push Hallie's buttons such that it drives her crazy.

So just imagine when a wicked twist of fate melds these enemies together such that they have to come to a mutual understanding.

Oh my.... It was a blast reading the journey of how Hallie and Logan are unable to resist the sparks flying between them, of how they take time to understand the underlying feelings between all the animosity between them and for them to each their happily together and I had a blast taking this ride along with these two crazy people.

The chemistry between these two is just something else. They went from wanting to spar verbally with each other in one breath to wanting to tear each other's clothes in the next breath kinda on fire chemistry.
I have to say the steaminess in this one was EVERYTHING that I thought it would be.
The raw passion, the hate that converts to strong lust and then love and a bond forged in the fire of hate yet reborn in the beauty of mutual care and love for each other. Ahhh.... Hallie and Logan were freaking perfect and made for each other kinda couple.

Also, I loved meeting the gang, seeing how Ellie and TD and Gabe and Blair were doing just made my heart sing.
The small town life camaraderie was as always addictive to read and I loved spending time with each and every character that we meet.

Then there's that ending...oh oh... What's cooking over there. Is it going to be Ava and the father of one of her classmates next, Mr. Pierson.... Ooohh.... I can't wait to meet them in the next book. Loved loved this one.❤️❤️❤️❤️

Disclaimer: I received this book at no cost from the publisher/author. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. I am leaving a voluntary review and all opinions are my own.

This series is small-town romance at its finest! Lacey Black can grab your attention easily with her outstanding characters and intriguing plots.

Black has a very fluent writing style that is easy to get lost in. The plot was very engaging and I was glued to the pages of this story from start to finish.

All of the characters in this series are great. They all have distinct individual personalities. It's so easy to fall in love with all of them. Hallie and Logan were so relatable with excellent character development. Their characters were fleshed out really well.

The romance in this book is a tale as old as time. A surprise pregnancy stemming from a one-night stand. There is also a frenemies-to-lovers vibe going on that is quite tantalizing. Hallie and Logan slowly fall in love and he is very supportive after finding out about the pregnancy. Their banter is amusing and their chemistry is so natural and organic.

Overall, this was a beautiful love story that was entertaining and heartfelt. This series is full of incredible characters that really stand out and capture your heart. This book is perfect for you if you love the surprise pregnancy and enemies-to-lovers tropes with a small-town vibe. I am so eager for the next book in this series!

Logan Johnson is the enemy, well sort of, he's the guy that likes to push her buttons every chance he gets and torment her every time she's near him, which is why she usually avoids him when he's around. But then one night after a few too many cocktails and celebration she gets a little closer to him than usual... and that starts off a series of steamy encounters neither of them saw coming!

Pretty Drunk is a steamy banter-filled enemies to lovers romance that is bound to have you swooning and smiling the whole way through. These two have always had this irritation brewing between them that usually ends up in some heated words being exchanged, but neither of them never expected them to end up between the sheets with one another. Who knew all that banter would lead to one the best nights of their lives, and once they've experienced it they just want more!

But their fun unexpectedly leads to two pink lines and that's where things between them start to take a serious turn, a turn that they didn't expect, but like where it's leading them. It was a steamy-filled little journey that I enjoyed very much!!

I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting the characters in this series, they have brought me many moments to smile about and their stories have not only entertained but left my heart overjoyed. I highly recommend you take a chance on them, they will steal your heart at first meet!

I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was an awesome story. It's a standalone in a series and book #3 in the series and stars Logan and Hallie who are very much frenemies but also share a friend group in a small town. Hallie is single and a Kindergarten teacher, Logan is a divorcee with a horrible ex-wife he shares a business wife.

Logan and Hallie have never been friends. They are constantly bickering but they also share best friends so they can never escape each other. They end up having a couple one-night stands that lead to a surprise and a roomie situation. Will they learn to get a long or kill each other? You will have to read this book to find out.

This is a light and fun story that I highly enjoyed. I loved the chemistry between Hallie and Logan. These two swipes at each other a lot but it's all done in a fun way, and I loved their interactions with each other.

If you love a surprise baby between two frenemies, then you will love Logan and Hallie. They are so much fun and a great couple. The only thing I did not love about this story was they never end up dating or even go on dates. From their few nights stands to when they figure out there is surprise, I didn't get why he never asked her out. Aside from that I really loved this book and couple.

Oh boy Lacey Black sure know how to make two enemies come together in a way it seems like finally with Logan and Hallie. We have seen them bicker, banter, argue and boy it is one night readers never see coming until now. Yet here's the thing with Lacey Black, she doesn't make her couples just fall easily. I loved seeing Logan and Hallie together because secretly they bring out the best in each other. Not only do we see these two but the whole gang is back even the evil ex-Shay. Seeing everybody find their love in Pine Village is making Hallie see that she has never really had that real love with her ex. Being with Logan after one night is making her see that maybe she has misjudged him all these years. Now Logan he is just wow, I don't mean because he's well hot as fudge but seeing how compassionate, sweet, caring he is towards Hallie just well made my heart swoon each chapter. For years they have been rivals, enemies but now both are seeing how right they are for each other. Logan is everything that has been missing in Hallie's heart and she to him is like finally coming home. This is love that has been brewing in all the previous books and Lacey Black totally rocked it with these two. AWESOME!!

Welcome back to Pine Village. This visit, we get to watch Logan and Hallie fall in love. Verbal sparring is their favorite activity and they seem to annoy one another more than anything else. Yet, there is a spark that finally ignites after a mishap after their friends’ wedding has them sharing a room for the night!

I adored everything about this enemies (not really enemies . . .) to lovers romance! Hallie is such a fireball of personality. This preschool teacher is so full of life and enjoys giving Logan a hard time. She’s also loving, loyal and incredibly genuine. She also has some insecurities, but tries to hide them well. Logan enjoys pushing Hallie’s buttons as well. But, he’s caring and considerate even if he enjoys their verbal sparring. What I loved most is that they never saw how thin the line between love and hate was between them, even when most of their friends did. Watching it play out was just a whole lot of fun!

Add in the drama of Logan’s ex . . . and boy, is she a piece of work as well as some unexpected happenings with the couple themselves, and Pretty Drunk is a fantastic addition to the series. It’s fun and flirty, sexy and sweet and everything in between. 5 stars!

I think I love each book a little more!

Loved Logan and Hallie! These two are more like frenemies that constantly banter barb back and forth or as their friends think - it's foreplay.

The title can give you a hint of how these two connect. And the result is a surprise pregnancy that forces these two together! Complicating things are Logan's witch of an ex, their lack of communicating their feelings and their history of frenemy-ship, etc.

These two were so cute together and I have to admit that I am a sucker for a guy who embraces the surprise pregnancy trope from the very beginning and is all in! Swoon!!

Logan is a dream - at least as an adult - he was a bit of a tool as a teen hence their frenemy history. Hallie is a bit of a free spirit and too independent to rely on Logan for a while, but of course, things work out in the end.

Overall an entertaining read and I'm really enjoying this series. Book 4 sounds like it will have interesting potential if the extra epilogue is a premonition of things to come.

I voluntarily requested and read an advance reader copy.

This story is about Logan and Hailey, two people who’ve always had that playful push-and-pull dynamic — the kind of friendship where the teasing is nonstop, but the underlying fondness is impossible to miss. When one drunken night shifts things between them, they’re suddenly forced to figure out what all those sparks actually mean.

I really enjoyed this book! Logan and Hailey’s relationship grows so naturally. I loved how they started as friends who bickered, teased, and low-key drove each other crazy… but you could always feel the care underneath. Watching that slow shift from friendship to something deeper was honestly the best part. It wasn’t rushed; it wasn’t forced — it just unfolded in the sweetest way.

Logan surprised me in all the right ways. He’s steady and unexpectedly soft when it comes to Hailey, and the way he shows up for her made me adore him. And Hailey? She’s fun, stubborn, emotional in the most relatable way, and her internal journey added the perfect emotional layer.

Their chemistry is great, but their connection is what really sells the story. The banter, the soft moments, the vulnerability… it all made their romance feel real and earned.

Lacey delivers a beautiful story with two characters, Logan and Hallie, who's banter back and forth with have you laughing, share a night together, and get the surprise of their lives! 5 stars for this one!
Logan and Hallie can't be in the same room together with out fighting. While at a wedding, she's having so much fun that she overdoes it. Helping clean up after the wedding, Logan offers to get her home safe, only problem is, she's locked her purse in her vehicle along with the keys to her car and home. Logan takes her home, and they share a hot night together, before she sneaks out in the early morning hours. She swears it will never happen again, but the sex was amazing! And then her birthday comes up, and yes, there they go again! The attraction they fight is so hot! Needless to say, they end up with the surprise of their lives!
Lacey did an amazing job closing the door for Logan and his ex-wife( I loved that part the most!) and Hallie, coming to terms with her feelings for Logan! All around, this story, the third in this series, is a definite must read! Grab it asap!

I loved this book so much! I love how Lacey takes tropes we’ve read before and puts her own spin on them so they feel fresh and new, and that’s exactly what she’s done here.

Life in a small town is exactly that, small, everyone knows everyone and has known them their whole life. Hallie and Logan have grown up together and sometimes that’s not a good thing, like oil and water these two have never worked well together. That is until one night with the help of some tequila, these two worked so well together that their lives will never be the same.

Read this small town series it’s filled with all of the good stuff plus it has a cast of characters that you are going to fall in love with! I can’t stop reading Lacey Black and the worlds she creates. This series is interconnected but each book has its own couple, so think of all those steamy HEAs!! Do not miss out on this series!! Just don’t!!

Oh my... this book was everything that the series readers knew it would be. We have seen sneak peaks of Logan & Hallie along the way. This antagonist to lovers story is full of sharp banter that seems to be a foreplay all of its own.

Logan and Hallie have know each other forever since they grew up in the same small town. He was friends with her big brother and they frequented the same group of people. At this point in their lives they each have a bucket full of past issues that are holding them back from looking for love and a better future.

A night of celebration, and some other outside circumstances have them sharing a home and spending lots of time together. Time where the defensive walls of their snippy banter seem to fade away and they get to see behind the mask. Could this be the beginning of something they have both wanted but never let themselves dream of?

Grab your copy and some time to enjoy, see for your self what happens in the little cabin.

This is the the third book in the series. I really enjoyed this book. It's a great enemies to lovers romance. Hallie and Logan's war with words and pushing each other's buttons is there form of foreplay. The title fits this book so well because some fun between the two that was assisted by alcohol leads to an unexpected little surprise. I so loved watching these two fall. Man Logan taking care of Hallie as they navigate their new journey in life, swoon! I want to find myself a Logan. The downfall is having to see his ex-wife making his life miserable and hoping karma gives her a visit. We got a little of Shay in the previous books, but this first hand look at her man she is a piece of work and a miserable person so what Logan finds with Hallie is all the more special. I love that Hallie calls Logan out on things and keeps him on his toes. This such a good book with the perfect combo of heart, heat, and humor. A must read. Really looking forward to the next book after the little tease we got.

I knew these two were going to be one for the books – literally! Their banter in the previous books was just a sip of the deliciousness we were getting into with Logan and Hallie!! Their banter has nothing on the connection these two have when they start focusing on their little surprise. The connection their forced proximity creates will make your heart swoon and feel completely full!

Even though I can’t stand her, Logan’s ex-wife throws plenty of barbs at these two, directly and indirectly, but all her bad karma circles around. It’s nice to see how she intended to rip them apart, only to push them closer. All of their friends encourage both Hallie and Logan without being overly pushy, giving them time to accept their feelings for the other.

Logan is such a sweetheart and protector when it comes to Hallie and the baby. I love that he’s completely invested from the start, determined to step up to the plate because he’s just that good of a man. I’m excited to see what comes next for this small town group of friends and to see their babies all growing up together!

Would you be surprised to read that I have read every single Lacey Black story there is? Well, I have!
And this is another wonderfully written small town romance. It doesn't start out that way. Matter of fact its an enemies to lovers story. But doesn't that just create more heat?
Hallie is a preschool teacher who always worries about what the people in the town or the parents are going to say about her and puts her best face forward.
Logan comes with some baggage, but baggage that he handles well. He is the co-owner of the local hardware store, and its co-owner only because his dad left half of the store to his now ex-wife.
Hallie and Logan are constantly making barbs at each other and are in constant competition. This of course helps lead to the underlying attraction.
One drunken night leads to a surprise pregnancy. Neither of them skip a beat and immediately decide that they will co-parent being there together for each other through all the ups and downs.
They are the perfect couple, lets hope that they see it!

Dive headfirst into the intoxicating world of “Pretty Drunk,” the third instalment in the Pine Valley series by Lacey Black, where the heat between Hallie and Logan sizzles from the very first page, leaving you reaching for a cool glass of water to quench the fiery heat.

In this deliciously hot enemies-to-lovers story Hallie and Logan's dynamic is electric, their banter crackling with tension as they navigate their complicated relationship. The sparks fly as they circle each other, trading jabs and digs that only serve to fuel their undeniable attraction.

But "Pretty Drunk" is more than just a steamy romance—it's a compulsive read that keeps you on the edge of your seat, eagerly turning pages to uncover what happens next. With the added drama of Logan's ex lurking in the background and a cast of memorable side characters who add depth and flavor to the story, Ms Black weaves a story that is both heartwarming and intoxicating.

From passionate moments that will leave you breathless to witty repartee that will have you laughing out loud, "Pretty Drunk" delivers it all. So grab a copy, settle in, and prepare to be swept away by the irresistible chemistry between Hallie and Logan. Trust me, you won't be able to put it down!

After spending too much time on the sidelines, Hallie and Logan must ask themselves why it took them so long to spend a night together. However, our lovebirds are not having an easy time becoming something more. Things take a completely different turn when they deal with an unexpected surprise that neither of them saw coming.

They get a glimpse into the future they both desire but are too scared to say anything. But time is running out, and soon they will both have to choose between continuing to be friends or taking the greatest risk of their lives in the hopes that the person they love will be there to stop them from falling.

I adored the two main characters from the earlier stories, and I'm overjoyed that they discovered HEA in each other's arms.
