Who knew writing a letter could change my entire life?
When I come across an advertisement on social media to become a military pen pal, I think it’s the coolest thing ever. Maybe I could make a difference in someone’s life by letting them know they’re not completely alone on Christmas.
I don’t expect the older, extremely hot sergeant first class to be the man that becomes my pen pal.
Nor do I expect him to actually write me back… or send me a picture of himself.
He wants to meet me when he flies in on Christmas Eve.
Will I be what he’s imagined for the past few weeks, or will he decide I’m not what he wanted after all?**This is a short MM romance.
West Greene is a romance author that specializes in short, steamy books and erotic shorts.
All your instalove needs can be found in one of her books, whether you're looking for possessive men, men with no morals, spicy FF romance, a boy just needing his Daddy, a twink just needing love, or even the other woman to get her HEA.
West Greene refuses to be stuck in one trope or type of romance. She loves variety, and she's definitely going to share that variety with her readers.
Oh look, it's the squealing twinks again! But in a different series.
#1 in the Signed With Love series
2⭐ rounded up because I can't do this to these twinks, I can't rate them with 1⭐ - it was damn funny to me, after all.
The Military men are here again AND this time they're being penpals with the twinks. They don't have email or chat or whatever, they're doing it the old school way with letters that take days to arrive. The Army is broke and so are the twinks, noone has wi-fi!
It reminds me of an IG handle that's offering chats with convicts in the USA - and even those guys have e-mail!
But fine. The twinks want to be penfriends, it's fine.
Jayden and his two friends are all exchanging letters with the army hunks and when the time comes, they meet up. In one day the whole relationship and forever with Nikolai happens - and literally nothing in between until the epilogue, they just have sex once, so the story wasn't even that hot or engaging, but then... we get to the epilogue.
And again
"I'm being shipped off to Germany," he murmured.
Damn, what is it with this author and Germany?? All of her Military men are working in Germany, my god!
And let's not forget the other important ingredient that's been in every.fucking.twink short story so far
"Marry me, Jay baby. Let me take you to the courthouse first thing Monday morning, and let me marry you. I'll take you with me."
Guess where he's taking him? To the exotic Germany, hahahaha!!! Oh my god 🤣🤣🤣
I'm definitely reading the whole series now, the squealing twinks from all of these short series will meet up in Germany after this is over, mark my words!
2.5 stars I was curious about the pen pals plot, but this time I couldn't appreciate West Greene's work: it seemed unoriginal and too similar to Apple Pie.
This was a short story set at Christmas. I've always liked pen pals and when I saw this story it caught my attention, as I said it's short but that doesn't take away from the good things. These two had a relationship through letters while Nikolai was in the army, and when they meet in person everything explodes in the best way. To pass the time it is more than good, entertaining and, believe it or not, a good story with the touch of the Christmas miracle.

Rating 5/5 ⭐️ This was a cute and sweet short love story. The first of three books where three friends sign up to be pen pals for military personnel. Jayden is a sweet, adorable young man, and Nokolai is a hot older military man. They are penpals who fall in love. I really enjoyed this short story. Nice start of the year!
Kiss Signatures is a heartwarming and charming MM romance that proves how a simple gesture can change your life in unexpected ways. The story follows a young person who, seeking to spread some holiday cheer, signs up to become a military pen pal. What begins as an innocent attempt to make a difference quickly turns into something much more profound when the recipient of their letters turns out to be a strong, incredibly attractive sergeant first class.
The premise of the story is both sweet and unique, showcasing the power of connection and communication in a world where people can often feel isolated. The letters exchanged between the two characters are heartfelt and genuine, building a slow-burning tension that makes the eventual meeting all the more exciting.
The author does a fantastic job of creating a palpable chemistry between the characters. Despite the distance and the initial anonymity, the sergeant’s thoughtful responses and willingness to open up gradually create a deep emotional bond. When they finally meet in person on Christmas Eve, the anticipation and the stakes are high—both in terms of romance and the fear of disappointment.
What stands out about this short MM romance is its ability to balance sweetness with some sizzling chemistry, all set against the cozy backdrop of the holiday season. The characters are well-developed, with the sergeant’s quiet confidence and the narrator’s warmth making for a lovely pairing. Their connection feels real, and the joy of their eventual meeting will leave readers smiling.
While the story is short, it is packed with enough emotion and romance to make it a memorable holiday read. It's perfect for anyone looking for a feel-good, low-angst romance with a dash of festive magic
Hanging out with his former college roommates and best friends, Jayden Emmett (“Jay”) was scrolling through his phone and spotted an ad where they would each get assigned someone overseas to be a pen pal. It would let someone far away know that they were not alone this Christmas. Cameron was willing to do it, but Draven hates people and was not interested until Jay pouted. When Jay got the notice that he was to write to Nikolai Fox (“Nik”), a Sergeant First Class, he was nervous. But he figured if he didn’t write, the man may not get any letters at all. So he wrote his letter and mailed it, telling him all about himself and elated when he got a letter back the following week. Nik also ordered him a cuddly “Squismallow” SpongeBob to add to his collection. Of course he called Cam and Draven who dropped everything to come over and share his excitement.
Nik and his team found out they were going home two days before Christmas, and he was hoping Jay would pick him up at the airport since he lived in Augusta, Georgia, where Nik would be stationed. Nik’s buddies had also gotten mail from pen pals in that area. Could they be friends and know each other? It was a good thing Cam and Draven were with Jay on the big day because his nerves were frazzled. Will their finally meeting each other in person be a disappointment? Or will they be exactly what each other needed?
The world needs more friends like these guys. They really treasure their friends and are there for them always. I thoroughly enjoyed their story and look forward to more from this author.
Kiss Signatures is the first short story in West Greene’s three-story series involving 3 friends who sign up to be pen pals with Military men this holiday season. West is great at short stories, and these are wonderful little tidbits that you can read in 15-20 minutes when you need a break from the holiday hullabaloo or maybe while in transit to the next event.
We kick off with Jayden. A sweet boy who’s been excited about getting a pen pal since he first heard about it, and has talked his two BFFs into signing up too. He’s the kind of guy who makes you want to do anything to keep the smile on his face.
As Nikolai, Sergeant First Class, will soon find out.
From the first rambling letter, he’s been smitten with Jay, and fate seems to agree because he’s been granted leave to be home in time for Christmas and to meet his sweet boy.
It’s a really cute story, that gives us hope and happiness this Christmas season.
- Serviceman/Librarian - Pen Pals - Instalove - Age Gap - MM Romance - Found Family

Once these two meet for the first time at the airport the sparks fly and they can't keep their hands off each other. You get to see them spend their first Christmas together with their found family and you get a little epilogue for a year later.

Super cute This is the first book in this little mini series, and it’s about a group of friends who decide to write to military personnel as penpals. in this book we learn more about Jaden who is a really sweet man who needs people around him. He needs affection he needs to be held. He likes to have someone look after him. So when he starts writing to Nikolai, it is quick to see that he is of a real caring nature, and he sees Jaden for what he is, but what will happen when these two meet ?? Honestly, my heart really went out to Jay because he put so much of him self into his letters and to see that he was getting exactly what he needed from It was a heartwarming moment. And Nikolai, Nik has found the person that he was looking for with Jay. Honestly it’s a quick read and you will be sucked in as soon as you start this book. It is just heartwarming. A really good read that leaves you with a smile on your face.

Kiss Signature is the first book of the Signed with Love series by West Greene. Greene is a new to me author, but I was definitely up for a short holiday type romance. The series needs to be read in order and is based on three friends who sign up to a pen pal service, to write to someone serving in the military. What happens is three friends serving, finding love with the three friends. It's like Seven Brides for Seven Brothers - minus the kidnapping, the seven biological brothers... and yeah.
In this first book we are introduced to sweet and kind Jayden, and gentle giant and sergeant, Nikolai. We get to know the characters through their charming letters, all leading up to a wonderful Christmas.
Really enjoyed this book for it's simplicity and sweetness. No complicated drama or outside forces, just a wonderful romance.

This is my first West Greene book and I can't wait to read more in this series. It's written in dual POV, and only 4 chapters long, but it's perfect if you're looking for something quick and a lil' spicy. I love Nikolai and Jayden! The two start as pen pals, and their relationship develops very quickly. Nik is a Sergeant First Class in the US Army. Jayden is like a little puppy dog, he's a librarian who loves stuffed animals and he has a hyper personality which reads well through his pen pal letters. He's Nik's sweet boy... and I'm here for it. __________________________________ 🔥 "Five seconds to get in your bedroom, or I'm fucking you wherever I catch you." __________________________________
“We would get assigned someone overseas to be our pen pal"
Another great short story by West Greene. All the books I've read by this author are wonderful and this series of three is no exception. This series is called Signed With Love and this is the first one in the series.
What a cute premise for a series. Three best friends sign up for overseas military pen pals on Thanksgiving day. These best friends have been inseparable since they were college dorm mates.
This book centers around the first set of pen pals Jayden and Nikolai. Jayden was the one who talked the other 2 guys into signing up. He's the soft hearted one in the group and needs someone around to take care of him.
These stories are short and sweet and they bring the heat.
I'm so happy these 3 stories showed up in Booksprout they were wonderful to read and review.
The first book of the short series is absolutely wonderful!
We meet three best friends since college in Augusta who are each others family. Jayden, Cameron and Draven.
They are very close and basically do every thing together… Even write to penpals in the service…
We start off with Jayden Emmett a librarian who needs a Daddy who will accept him as he is and boy does he strike a luck with Sergeant First Class Nicolai Fox…
A sweet, caring Daddy who will do anything for his boy… unless he behaves like a brat!
This is a sweet, steamy short Christmas read with light daddy kink that follows three best friends and their army men that will make you feel all fuzzy and sweet!

This was SO good!!! Super short for sure but, SO. GOOD!! Jayden is such a sweet guy; he saw where pen pals were being requested for deployed military so he signed up and talked his two best friends into participating with him. Jayden was given Nikolai for his pen pal and, over the course of Nikolai’s deployment, they wrote back and forth, sweet letters and steamy promises that built excitement until finally they were able to be together. I loved this entire novella but especially the epilogue, it was the sweetest thing; I’ll be rereading this many many times I know. I just can’t recommend it highly enough, I’d give it 1,000 stars if I could!.

This is book 1 in the three book Signed With Love series. They are insta-love short stories. I really enjoyed them. This is the story of Jayden and Nikolai. Jayden is a librarian who talks his two best friends into signing up to be military pen pals. Each story focuses on one of the three and the military man they end up with. Nikolai is the lucky recipient of Jayden's letter. The two establish a relationship through letters and anticipation rises when it is finally time to meet in person. This is their story. It is well written and easy to read. If you are looking for a short, sweet, no angst read, this is the book for you.

This is book number 1 of the Signed with Love series and focuses on Nikolai and Jayden. When Jayden comes across an ad on social media about a military pen pal program, he is quick to sign up and talking his two best friends, Cameron and Draven, to sign up with him. When he gets paired up with Nikolai, he is over the moon happy and also nervous. It doesn’t take long for the two of them to fall completely head over heels for each other over their letters. This was a great story and a great introduction to the series.

I loved Kiss Signatures: MM Military Romance Book 1 of Signed With Love. This is a short and sweet story. Three books intertwine with three best friends sending pen pal letter to three military friends. It was Jayden’s idea to sign up for the pen pal program. He was assigned Nikolai. They have an immediate connection and as things progress through letters they plan to meet foe Christmas. It’s a Instalove Christmas story. I loved the storyline and the characters. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

'I don’t know what it is, but something about you makes me feel like I’ve known you forever, though we haven’t even met yet. When I open one of your letters, I feel like I’m at home.'
I absolutely loved this story! I loved the concept of pen pals with someone in the military. I think it's one of my favorite meets I've ever read. I loved both Jay and Nik and the sweetness of the letters between them. I couldn't wait until they meet in person! I also loved the supporting characters- Jayden's friends Cam and Draven, and Nik's friends Amree and Ethan. I'm most interested in learning more about Draven and reading his story with Ethan. A sweet, quick read. 5 stars.
It’s amazing how much West Greene can pack into a short story! This is the first of three stories that start with a great premise - connections through writing letters to active military servicemen. Jay and Nik are a cute couple, and while the story is short, you see how the relationship develops between them and are also introduced to the secondary characters that will play the lead roles in the next two stories in the series. Very enjoyable for a MM romantic short!

This is the first story in a series of three short books about a group of men living around an Army base in Georgia who all agree to be pen pals to someone in the military. They are each paired with men who are also part of a trio of friends. When they come home over Christmas and finally meet, it turns all those promising letters into so much more. It's steamy and heart-warming and a perfect quick read for the holidays.

This is the first of three books where three friends sign up to be pen pals for military personnel.
Jay is a sweet, soft, enthusiastic young man who is matched Nik, a hot, older, military man They get to know each other through the exchange of letters, developing their relationship, until they are able to meet in person.
I enjoyed this book, it was a perfect combination of short, sweet and steamy with a bit of humour and put a smile on my face reading it.

Kiss Signatures is a super quick MM / Military / Pen Pal / Spicy Story that I adored and easily devoured in one sitting. Nikolai and Jayden start as pen pals while Nik is in the military. Their relationship develops between lust to love quickly and all I can say is they are so perfectly matched. are so perfectly matched. Jayden is a librarian who loves stuffies. He's such a sweet soul who needs someone to take care of him. And Sergeant Nik slides perfectly into this role as Jayden quickly becomes Nik's 'sweet boy.'.. Really enjoyed this sweet, swoony and steamy fast mm read!!!
Great, insta-love short story, good for some cozy feels.
I would love to see more of these two and the dynamic that is hinted at.
Can be read as a stand-alone but I highly recommend reading all the books in order because they complement each other and we get the same time span from everyone’s point of view.

This is such a sweet, feel good romance. Jay is adorable, a total Little, although not identified as such in the story, and Nick has a total Daddy vibe. Just a short, but very satisfying, story for the holidays, and a reminder that there are many who serve that can’t be home for the holidays. Makes me want to get a military pen pal, too.

When the chance to become a pen pal to someone serving in the military, who could refuse?
Jay decides to sign up with his 2 friends and ends up writing to Nik. The two hit it off instantly and when they meet you can tell there's something special between them, like they've both found their missing piece.
This was a sweet short read and I highly recommend giving it a go.

Jayden is hanging out with his besties when he comes across an add for a military pen pal. He really likes the idea of bringing cheer to someone's life. He does not expect to paired with someone who has an interest in him, a hot older man.
When he surprises him for a Christmas visit, Jayden is overwhelmed with emotion. Will this man want to keep him?.

I always look forward to new books from West Greene. The fact that she packs a wallop of emotions in her books says a great deal to her skills and this one is no different.
Jayden and Nikolai from the first letter knew they were destined and nothing would keep them apart. I loved that Jayden was a librarian...not many books focuses on the nerd getting the guy.
Thank you, West!!!!!.

This is a cute story to the Signed With Love series and brings Jayden and Nikolai's story. The author brings some heat in this short and sexy read and paints her scenes perfectly. I enjoyed reading their story.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
West Greene is one of the best short story writers and "Kiss Signatures" did not disappoint! It is a wonderful, quick, easy read with a complete story in 30ish pages. The characters have great chemistry, it is sweet to see them get to know each other as pen pals. And it's totally heartwarming when they meet in person.
Kiss Signatures is the first book in the Signed With Love Series. This is a sweet snack. The author pulls you in and keeps you there long enough for a taste. I wish there were more. I'd love to know more about the MCs backstories.
