Estos libros son demasiado ATRAPANTES!!
Esta serie me está gustando más de lo que esperé.
Sigue teniendo mucha intriga, misterio y suspenso.
La historia de amor es de las que se va desarrollando desde el primer libro y de la que estamos ansiosos por conocer.
Candance siempre ha estado enamorada de Dominic el hermano menor de los D´Agostino, pero es un amor no correspondido o eso es lo que ella piensa porque no le da ni la hora del día, todo eso cambió dos años antes, pero por eventos desafortunados no pueden estar juntos y eso le rompe su corazón y decide olvidarlo.
Ahora Dominic dispuesto a recuperar al amor de su vida, tiene que recuperar su confianza y de paso ayudarla a descubrir quiénes son los responsables de la muerte de sus padres y de su trágico pasado.
Candance al principio no me agradó tanto, era muy terca, sí le rompió el corazón, pero tenía sus motivos y ni si quiera era eso por lo que no quería darle otra oportunidad, él se interponía en sus planes que por cierto muy tontos.
Pero después me agradó y sentí mucha pena por todo lo que pasó.
En cambio, Dominic es mi personaje favorito hasta el momento.
Es de las parejas más bonitas hasta ahorita de la serie y estoy que muero por leer el de Aiden.

Hero : Dominic D'Agostino. He is Possessive and a past drug addict who has now fully recovered. I loved the way he chased Candace and didn't let anyone get in between them!
Heroine : Candace. She is the sweet girl who worked in Dominic's house. She is Innocent yet sassy when needed. I loved her spunk and determination.
Pace of the story : Moderate
Angst Rating : 5/10
Heat Rating : 7/10
Triggers Involved : Past Abuse including Rape and a descriptive scene of violent murder.
Plot Summary : Candace and Dominic have always known each other from Their childhood. Candace has always loved him but thought that she never stood a chance with him since she was the help in his house. So she watched him afar. Until one day he noticed her. And then things changed for the worst. Dominic left her on her deathbed and is now back after years. This time , convincing her again to give him a chance won't be that easy.
Despite of what Candace believed , she was the only one he saw ever since they were kids. When years later she was the one paying for mistakes , he had no choice but to leave her to get better. Now he is back because his family is in danger. Seeing Candace , reignites new feelings and he knows that this time there was no seperating them. Is only he could make her understand that!
Overall Opinion : I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!! OMG , like the suspense was amazing , the storyline was amazing and the steamy scenes were hot too!! I have been hooked in this series right from the first book and am so sad to let these characters go! I hope we see more of them in the future since a few questions of mine are still unanswered.
The pace of the story was moderate and I loved that there was no drama in it. The ending was amazing and didn't feel rushed to me and this author has been successful in keeping me hooked throughout this whole book. Can't wait for more from her!!

Suspense was amazing.
A Definite recommendation to all the mafia Romance lovers!!
Note : This book is not a Standalone. Even though each book features a different brother, you still need to read the whole trilogy as the plots are very very connected!

At the end of Dark Captor, we were left with a WHAT THE HECK moment and I knew I needed to know what happens to Dominic! Wicked Liar is the third book in the Dark Syndicate Series and let me tell you that this series is one of my favorites!
Dominic has loved Candance for a long time but has never felt worthy of having her love due to his darkness. He tries treating her like a sister but that does not work because the feelings he has for her are fierce and not sisterly. He tries to stay away from her but that does not work either when she is everywhere. Candance lost her family at a young age, so the only family she has left are the D’Agostino boys. They took her in and have been a constant in her life knowing her past. The more time she spent with Dominic the more her feelings grew. Once the line is crossed Dominic & Candace know that there is no going back.
There are many twists and turns in this story that I wasn’t prepared for them!! One thing was for sure- Dominic D’Agostino was not letting this second chance with Candance get away from him. Like I said, one of my favorite series! I’m looking forward to what Khardine Gray has in stored for us. Kara~ 5 Amazing Stars

Amando cada vez más esta serie y deseando que no se acabe nunca 😍🤞🏻. Mi querido Dominic, deseé abrazarte durante todo el libro, hacerte sentir amado y aceptado, igual que a mi hermosa Candace 🥺 una mujer brillante y valiente; tienen un lugar especial en mi corazoncito literario 💗. Me encanta el toque de misterio que tienen, que te rompes la cabeza pensando en quién es el villano, y siento que este libro ha sido mejor, creo que será mi favorito hasta ahora, además de que me gustó que hayan incluido más escenas de fueguito 😏. Ahora, ese final me deja con ganas de ir corriendo a leer el libro de Aiden, en el que voy a "oscuras" porque no sé nada jeje.

OMG – just when you think this series can’t get any better, it does. And to find out there is another book coming in this series makes me so happy! I went through so many emotions while I was reading this story. There has been so much tragedy, betrayal, suspense, mystery, romance, passion that I am not even sure where to start on my review!
Dominic and Candace’s story is probably my favorite so far. To know that they both loved each other from the beginning and that there were obstacles in the way of their happiness made my angry! I don’t want to give anything away, but I definitely recommend this book, and I definitely recommend this series. It can be read as a standalone, but why not start with the first book so you know more about the characters. I would give this book more than 5 stars if I could and I I stated previously, I cannot wait for the next book in the series to come out.

Este ha sido el libro más difícil de leer, y no porque no me haya gustado la trama, sino por los temas que aborda. Difícil en cuánto al viaje emocional que representó, me tenía suspirando un segundo, con el corazón acelerado sin saber qué iba a pasar al siguiente, y llorando segundos después. Creo que CandaceDominic son mi pareja favorita hasta ahora.

Wicked Liar is the third book of the Dark Syndicate series and picks up two years after Dark Captor ends.
Dominic is the youngest of the D’Agostino brothers. After accidentally hurting Candace Dominic took off while she was recovering in the hospital. Two years later, he is back in LA and brings with him information and bad news. Candace is fully recovered, physically, and working to put her life back together. She’s trying to forget Dominic and move on as he told her to do. To do that, she finds something else to consume her time and energy. She is going to find the messy details surrounding her parents’ death by any means necessary. Problem is, she underestimated just how much she matters.
I had very mixed emotions about this book. I’ve loved Candace in all the previous books however, I found myself actually disliking her in the beginning as I read. That is until the night of the auction when her plans were altered. Even with the rough start, I still loved this book. It gave the same type of chemistry and character dynamics as the previous stories. We got more of the characters we’ve come to know and learned more about those we didn’t, namely Aiden.
I appreciate the courage that Candace constantly shows. She survived her hellish past and came out on the other side so much stronger. Dominic too showed extreme courage and strength in deciding to leave his life behind him for two whole years to get clean and get his mind right. I absolutely love him and Candace together, minus the frustrating push and pull at the beginning of the book. I’m so happy that they were able to find their way back to each other.
When I began reading this I was hoping that we would get to read Aiden��s story. I can’t wait! I hope that I can find time and space on my TBR pile to get through many more of the author's work.

4.25 stars-WICKED LIAR is the third instalment in Faith Summers’ contemporary adult DARK SYNDICATE erotic, Mafia romance series focusing on the D’Agostino brothers-Massimo, Tristan and Dominic. This is thirty year old, Dominic D’Agostino and twenty-eight year old, PA Candace Ricci’s story line. WICKED LIAR can be read as a stand alone but for back story and cohesion I recommend reading the series in order.

SOME BACKSTORY: In the criminal underworld there are two secretive but warring factions on the verge of rekindling their power and control: The Syndicate of the Brotherhood, an organization Massimo D’Agostino is hoping to revive, and the Circle of Shadows, a group whose affiliation with human trafficking has long been associated with assassins and killers.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Candace and Dominic) WICKED LIAR focuses on Dominic’s return to the family following two years in rehab and isolation, in an effort to clean up and protect the people he loves but Dominic has come into some important information, information that may reveal the leadership and people behind the Circle of Shadows. Hoping to rekindle his broken relationship with Candace Ricci, Dominic sets about to seduce our heroine but Candace refuses to fall for the man that nearly destroyed her life. As Dominic and his brothers, along with Aiden Romanov continue to search the dark web for clues as to the identity of the members of the Circle of Shadows, a prior betrayal by one of their own, sets into motion an even deeper search into the encrypted world of the people involved. What ensues is the rebuilding relationship between Candace and Dominic; the search and take down of the Circle of Shadows, and the potential fall-out as Candace becomes a pawn in a world that took everyone she loved.
Candace Ricci was the daughter of the D’Agostino help, and in this she was raised alongside the brothers she calls family and friends but Candace had fallen in love with Dominic D’Agostino never expecting our hero to abandon her when she needed him the most. Desperate to uncover the truth behind the murders of her parents, Candace sets a plan into motion that may destroy them all. Two years would pass before Dominic returned home, wherein our hero would discover some of the secrets of the Circle of Shadows, but betrayal from within is a bitter pill to swallow, and in this, the brothers continue their hunt for the people involved.
The relationship between Candace and Dominic is a former best friends, second chance romance between two people torn apart by secrets and addiction. Candace lost her entire family to corruption, power, and the criminal underworld, and refuses to lose her heart (once again) to a man who may or may not be around for the long haul. Dominic D’Agostino has never stopped loving our story line hero, but with his return come the memories of what happened two years before, and the secrets Candace has kept from the D’Agostino siblings most of her life. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The third installment of the series, but my second book (I didn't read the first one - didn't want to cuz of the reviews I read about Massimo treating the heroine degradingly). And can I just mention 'Finally! A cover that justifies the character!'
Candace had been pinning for Dominic since forever. Unfortunately, he only saw her as his sister. Until one day. Until the day they had that one night. And the same night he shot her (albeit accidentally while he was high on drugs) that nearly took her life. And then he left. He left while she was on a coma. For two years. And now he's back.
The beginning promised to be full of angst.
Dominic was thrown off of his horse when Candace slapped him and then walked away from him. The second time was when he appeared at her apartment to apologize and was expecting to have a heart to heart with her but Candace - realizing he did not want her back - merely replied 'Okay', forcing him with no option to stay but to leave. (I clapped for that part.) But I already guessed she would be the type that would melt as soon as he as much as touched her, so that's a bit of a bummer.
This was better than Tristan's story; more angst, more interesting plot and sub-characters. There was a painful past, hurtful memories and a hazy present. However, towards 3/4th of the story, it became quite monotonous (with the couple's numerous bedroom scenes - that *surpise* became mundane to me). Then BOOM! The author dropped a bomb.

Wow die vorhergehenden Bände haben mich schon gefesselt ,aber dieser Roman hat mich geflashed. Eine Liebesgeschichte zwischen Engel und Teufel ,zwischen einem Mädchen aus der Arbeiterklasse und dem Sohn eines Mafiabosses ,die einen so dermaßen in seinen Bann zieht das man das Buch nicht aus den Händen legen kann.
Dominic und Candace wachsen zusammen auf und beide sind in den anderen verliebt,doch die zarte Jugendromance findet ein furchtbares Ende. Dominic schießtim Drogenrausch auf Candance und verläßt die Frau ,die er über alle liebt .Nach zwei Jahren taucht er wieder auf und die Umstände sind alles andere als rosig ,denn die Geister der Vergangenheit sind immer noch vorhanden und die Gafahr für Dominics Familie und besonders für Candace ist größer den je.

This is the 3rd book in this wonderful series and is Dominic and Candace’s journey. Dominic is back after 2-years when he left after accidentally hurting Candance leaving her in hospital, and he now has his head on straight and recovered from his addiction. Candace has been trying to move on with her life and forget about Dominic, which is proving impossible. This is a well written dark enemies / lovers’ story, which is filled with emotions, tragedy, betrayal, mystery, passion, suspense, danger, secrets, lies, emotions, and love. I was captivated throughout this riveting and addictive page turner, and I look forward to reading more from these talented authors whose work I recommend for all.

Wicked Liar gives Dominic D’Agostino a chance to redeem himself, while Candace Ricci needs to decide to move on, or embrace forgiveness, which is the impassioned premise.
This fast-burn, sizzling romance takes flight and never ceases to dim between The two forlorn lovers. Reignited on unbridled passion and angst, Candace is the angel to Dominic’s devil.
As with each book in the Wicked series, the author has an amazing way of creating the sizzle, passion, and Fire to keep you engaged. Also, the brutality and ruthlessness of the mafia life are driving forces for all that the D’Agostino brothers represent, and is as expected in dark mafia romances. The Syndicate remains a mystery, leaving readers wanting more of the D’Agostinos world!

This was an excellent book. I would have given it 5 stars but this is the first book of the series that was not able to keep my attention for long and it took way to long to finish it. Candace and Dominic's history made this so beautiful. They were made for each other. Loved it. The chemistry was there and the trauma made the story so strong.

I really enjoyed this book! It’s a lovely second chance romance and I adored both leads. I really like how this is dual POVs so you get to see what both characters are thinking and feeling.

Wicked liar follows Ruthless Prince and Dark Captor. Although I felt the other 2 books could be read as standalones, even with the continuation of the suspense element, I would strongly recommend reading the first 2 books before Wicked Liar.
In this book, Dominic and Candace have to come to terms with their shared history but also the truths each have kept from the other.
Although a romance, I felt this book had a split focus with many of the suspense elements of the series coming to fruition. I was especially disappointed that I could not make the emotional connection with the characters given their tragic back story.
I did root for Dominic and his Angel's HEA. It was not that hard won, plot twist notwithstanding.
I do suggest a good editor, though. Missing words and clumsy sentences detract from the story.

This was ok.. It annoyed me that I had to read about Candace dead parents, covered in book 1, mentioned in book 2. Same for the brothers father's death and the eldest brother betrayal ( happened in book 1, recap in book 2, and again in book 3!!). I feel like the author is treating me the reader like I have some form of amnesia!? I know what happened.. I read the previous book ffs!!!?
The romantic storyline differed to that of the first two which was a nice change. Candace and Dominic were established characters so I was interested to see their story be revealed.

This is dark and the danger and suspense had me on edge but it was exciting and I loved the characters. The story flowed well and had me hooked from the beginning. There are secrets and lies and sometimes I was unable to blink.

Wicked Liar is book 3 in the Dark Syndicate series. This book by Faith Summers is Dominic's and Candace's story. Dominic is back with bad news and he will do whatever he needs to do to get his angel.
The plot about a group trying to take over the Syndicate is ripe with secrets. The more the characters dig to discover answers the more questions come up. There is almost non stop action both from the past and present. Murders in the past demand answers that the D'Agostino brothers and Candace try their hardest to piece together. The mystery that has been unfolding takes Candace near the point of breaking.
There are several competing storylines. The murder of Candace's parents guides her actions. She thinks Jacques holds her answers. Massimo, Tristan and Dominic are on the trail of those that killed their father with the bomb and the group that is threatening to take everything from The Syndicate.
The plot held my interest from beginning to end. It has lies, hidden identities, violence, abuse and terror. In addition to all the bad it is a romance full of love and sweetness. Faith Summers bundles it all into the characters. There are twists so just when you think you have put everything together it gets blown apart. I was lulled into a sense of happily ever after when it all twisted again and left me in tears.
Wicked Liar does end happily but also leads into the next book. This action packed romance that kept me guessing is definitely recommended by me.

Faith Summers writes dark mafia romances well and Wicked Liar is one of her best. It's been 2 long years since Candace has seen Dominic, and the last time she saw him he shot her! It was an accident, but Dom left without a word, leaving her to think he didn't care. Now he's back, after recovering in a rehab clinic, and is still attracted to her. Candace has forgiven him for accidentally shooting her, but she hasn't yet forgiven him for abandoning her. She's looking for her parents' killer and is pretty sure that Jacques Belmont has some information. She plans to auction herself, with hopes that he will bid on her and then she can start to find some answers. Her plans to auction herself to him go awry when Dominic steps in and claims her with a bid of 15 million dollars. Dom can't stand the idea of Candace being with any other man and he wants her to tell him that she's his and only his. When he wants to know why she was auctioning herself, she tells him about her parents and what she had seen the night of the murder. She also divulges a secret that has gutted her since she was almost a child. All the while, the D'Agostino family is in charge of the Syndicate and they are dealing with a threat from within as well as from the outside. Dominic and Candace make such a loving couple and with all of the pain, shocks and twists she has to face, Dom is right there to love her. A wonderful story that maintains its pace from beginning to end, with dynamic characters who feel real and relatable. The plot is tightly woven and all storylines intersect and diverge once again. Delightful!
