In Bonding with the Cowboy’s Daughter, Lisa Jordan weaves a story full of authenticity and warmth, beautifully exploring new beginnings and healing through faith. Callie Morgan, fresh from a tough breakup, heads to Aspen Ridge to restore her grandmother’s gift shop. But financial struggles and emotional exhaustion soon set in. Enter Wyatt Stone, an old friend and single dad, who offers her a lifeline with a job at his family’s ranch, Stone River Ranch.

As Callie adjusts to ranch life, she starts to heal and reconnect with her past. The ranch’s rugged charm and close-knit community become the perfect backdrop for her journey toward healing and new love. Wyatt’s little girl brings an extra layer of warmth and hope to Callie’s life.

A standout moment is a side character’s reflection: “I had to learn to stop asking God why and instead ask Him what He wants me to learn through this.” This shift in perspective highlights his growth and acceptance of God’s plan. The story emphasizes that “God allows things to happen so He can write our stories the way they need to be told,” showing how life’s challenges fit into a larger design.

Callie’s evolving relationship with Wyatt and his daughter is both tender and genuine, filled with emotional depth. Their interactions showcase how trust and love can bloom even after past pain. Another insightful quote, “The more you allow Him to work in your life and through your grief, the more He can use you to tell the next part of your story,” captures the heart of the book’s transformations.

Bonding with the Cowboy’s Daughter is a touching exploration of faith, resilience, and the healing power of love. Jordan’s storytelling draws readers into a world where new beginnings are always possible when we surrender all to God.

another heartwarming contemporary romance from love inspired!

callie inherited a shop from her grandmother in aspen ridge, colorado, and a broken engagement (thanks to his cheating) makes it the perfect time to start over. of course, the shop's not in great shape, so wyatt stone's job offer—which he makes after saving her from being stranded on the side of the road—is too good to resist. only, now, she's seeing her childhood crush all the time... is she ready to trust in love again?

wyatt, too, has some learning to do about love. since the death of his wife, he's focused on making sure he's not a burden to anyone—but that mindset, unfortunately, hasn't given him much space to feel, grieve, and move forward...

working together, both callie and wyatt can see new possibilities for the future. their healing isn't easy, though, and they have a few complications to overcome. still, their story is hope-filled and uplifting. i enjoyed getting to know these characters, spending some time in the charming aspen ridge, and experiencing the sweet, sweet romance.

bonding with the cowboy's daughter is definitely a cute romance from lisa jordan, and i'm sure that other romance readers in need of a quick read will enjoy it, too.

(i received a complimentary copy from the publisher. i was not required to write a positive review, and all the opinions i have expressed are my own.)

considerations:
—language: none
—spice: kisses only
—faith: mentions of God and prayer
—content: mentions of cheating, loss of loved one, and abused horses

This is a story that really tugged on my heartstrings! It is book three in the series, yet you can jump in and read it even if you haven’t read the books that come before it. In this novel, Wyatt gets his chance at a happily ever after and it is a long awaited thing. Wyatt has been a side character in the earlier two books. A widower whose wife died in childbirth, he’s been focused on raising his young daughter for the past three years and trying to make it through, day by day.

It is so sweet that Wyatt gets a second chance at finding love with Callie, a woman who actually had an unrequited crush on him back when they were teenagers. I respected Callie for the way she didn’t resent Wyatt for not seeing her in that way back when they were teens and that she recognized that he was still going through grief and heartache over the loss of his wife. She tried to help him acknowledge that he was not always “fine”. And I loved that Wyatt’s heart awakened to her in a gentle way.

These two had some bumps along the way as Wyatt struggled with his emotions and Callie also battled grief over losing her grandmother. But their happily ever after was so sweetly earned! I really enjoyed this sweet and emotional story.

Callie Morgan is back in Aspen Ridge, Colorado. She’s staying at the Stone River guest ranch for a week while making some decisions about her inheritance. She’s also nursing a battered heart after canceling her wedding due to a cheating fiancé. The last thing she’s looking for is love.
Widower Wyatt Stone needs some help with the ranch. He’s spread thin between managing the guest ranch, taking care of his 3 year old daughter, and much more. He offers Callie a job. He’s not looking for love, either.
But will the Lord use a sweet, precocious little girl to open up these closed hearts?
Author Lisa Jordan skillfully knits together a story of friendship, faith, vulnerability, and love. Plus it has my favorite, an epilogue!
I received a complimentary copy of this book, but my opinion is entirely my own.

This sweet and charming book captured my heart from the first page and didn’t let it go to the last page.
Childhood friends Wyatt and Callie reunite
in Aspen Ridge, Colorado and each of them must deal with grief in their lives.
Callie is grieving her cheating fiancé and Wyatt is grieving the wife he lost in childbirth. As a single dad he is raising his sweet daughter Mia. He also deals with his grief by helping on his family’s ranch, helping his in laws and leading a single dad’s support group.
Their relationship continues to bloom and blossom when Callie is hired to help at the ranch and Wyatt offers to help her fulfill a promise to restore her grandmother’s art business.
Sweet Mia is loved by all the family and bonds beautifully with Callie.
There is a beautiful faith thread in the story. This couple learns to trust God and seek his plan for their lives.
Highly recommended.

Lisa Jordan tugged at my heartstrings in this sweet finding-love-again romance.

Jilted bride, Callie runs from her grief just as much as widower Wyatt does, but in different ways. I loved how the author used Wyatt’s daughter to bring these two hearts together initially. The topic of grief can be hard, but Lisa Jordan relays the characters’ growth in a perfect balance that kept the book from feeling too heavy.

I loved the way Wyatt’s friends and family confronted him on his three-year-long running from his grief. His growth was beautiful watch. I also loved the way the author used Wyatt’s passion for helping others to form a support group for single dads.

It was fun watching Callie embracing her artistic talents while navigating major changes from being jilted and from the loss of her Gram.

Readers who love clean, sweet inspirational romance will enjoy this heartwarming story.

Romance: Squeaky clean. Kissing mentioned in passing.
Faith: Some mention of prayer and church.

WOW, I just loved this story! I don't know when was the last time I paused everything I had to do and read a book in one sitting. But THIS was that book. Once I started reading it, my mind was totally in the story, and I had to see what happened next.

Wyatt is a widower and father who is staying busy helping everyone to keep from dealing with his grief. Callie returns home to grieve the loss of her Grandmother and to uphold a promise to restore her Grandmothers shop. But the shop needs work, she needs money and a lot of help. Thankfully, Wyatt (a childhood friend) also has a lot on his plate so they agree to help each other. Neither is looking for love, and neither wants to accept the possibility of it because both have been burned by it. Wyatt from the loss of the love of his life, and Callie from the blow that came from a cheating fiance. But perhaps their need for each other is just the bridge to help them both mend their hearts.

Somehow there is this seamless balance between loss, and then friendship, and love. And normally when I read, there is one person that stands out as the hero, or the person with the best personality... but in this one, BOTH the MMC and FMC were such admirable people. I am not going to lie, Wyatt was halfway dreamy: so kind, loving, and patient, and he spent his days meeting everyone's needs but his own. And that's where Callie comes in. Wyatt may have seemed like the hero because he swooped in when her car broke down, offered her a job, and helped her with a place to stay. But those are all physical things, Callie was there for him emotionally and mentally. Wyatt was burning the candle on both ends trying to suck up his grief and loss and afraid to slow down, not wanting to think about what he had to be sad about. When Callie comes it's the first time someone sees how hard he is working and constantly checks in to make sure he is okay. Not just that he is okay, but that he doesn't overdo it. When she asked him if he was okay the first time, we were shocked that amid everything someone was concerned about him. I loved it. Then you add in adorable Mia, who has never had a mother figure in her life, since her mother passed during childbirth and you see the bond Mia and Callie have and it is just the sweetest thing. A love story that truthfully may have you tearing up, but it is SO worth it!

An uplifting story about learning how to overcome tragedy and open your heart for new blessings . . .

When Callie Morgan loses her grandmother Ada, with whom she had a special bond, her entire world begins to crumble. Both women were artists, and Callie long ago made a promise to Ada that she would keep the gift shop in Aspen Ridge, Colorado, open once Ada passed away. Not knowing what else to do, Callie returns to Aspen Ridge to keep her promise.

Rancher Wyatt Stone is still whirling from the unexpected death of his young wife, Linnea, three years earlier. Their three-year-old daughter, Mia, brings joy and purpose to Wyatt's life; and everything he does is for Mia's benefit.

Callie is four years younger than Wyatt, and they knew each other from Callie's childhood and teenage summer visits to Ada's home town. Callie has rented a yurt at Wyatt's family's guest ranch for a week.

Mia and Callie bond quickly. As time goes on, Wyatt and Callie begin to share their past experiences and tragedies with each other. Callie is determined to renovate and restore Ada's gift shop and reopen it as soon as she is able. When Wyatt pitches in things really begin to come together, and they spend a lot of time together while working on the project.

When Wyatt and Callie hit some snags in their relationship as every couple does, the pair learns to expand their comfort zones and make compromises so that their relationship can grow and flourish.

This book is completely clean in language and content. The faith thread is subtle but present throughout the story.

Living and finding happiness after heartbreak seemed to be an impossiblity for these two characters. Wyatt Stone, handsome widower and loyal to a fault, keeps himself busy to distraction. Raising his three-year old daughter, running a ranch with his family, and helping out his in-laws with a horse rescue keeps him from dwelling too much on his late wife and what could have been. Enter Callie Morgan who needs some help too, and Wyatt is all set to be busy for quite some time. Till Callie begins to get under his skin and makes him believe in love again.

Callie has suffered heartbreak after her broken engagement and the death of her beloved grandmother. Callie comes back to her hometown with some major decisions to make. Should she stay and reopen the art studio she inherited or sell and move on? Wyatt and his little girl are making things even more difficult.

This was a sweet slow-burn romance of two somewhat stubborn people holding on and wearing their grief as a buffer against the rest of the world. Both of them really needed to let go of the past and reach out to grab the future and all the uncertainty that may entail. To live instead of just survive. Can they also get through their misunderstandings they create for themselves?

I was provided a copy of this novel from the author. I was not required to post a positive review, and all views and opinions are my own.

I really enjoy the books from the LOVE Inspired brand. Bonding with the Cowboy's Daughter by Lisa Jordan is the most recent book I have read. It is Book 3 in the Stone River Ranch Series. I have been looking forward to this release as I really enjoyed Book 2.

WOW, the storyline grabbed my heart and emotions from the very beginning. Callie Morgan has come "home" to Aspen Ridge, Co to keep a promise to her recently deceased Grandmother. Callie is determined to reopen her Grandma's shop and to get a refresh on life. She needs to come up funding to do the work on the shop and in steps Wyatt Stone, a childhood friend and widower with a 3yr old daughter. Callie begins to work for Wyatt and they begin to share their past struggles in recent years. They realize they have so much in common and they give support to one another. They also are not sure if they are ready for a relationship. Callie has grown close to Wyatt's daughter, Mia and Wyatt sees the bond between them. I really LOVE how strong Wyatt is in his faith and Callie also sees it and begins to allow her heart to open to a relationship with Wyatt. The book is one about Family, Second Chances and Faith . I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Christian Romance. WONDERFUL BOOK!

Healing Love

Callie Morgan and Wyatt Stone have known each other since childhood, and they reconnect when Callie finds herself needing rescuing. They've each lived through situations involving love and grief, and although each has dealt with them in their own ways, neither has completely healed from their effects. When Wyatt rescues Callie and offers her a job, their friendship rekindles and grows into more. Working through past hurts, grief, trust issues, and more provides a door to healing and a second chance at love. As detours in that path find their way in, Callie and Wyatt, with the help of a sweet and precious little girl, work at getting past the blocks in the road and discover a road to healing, faith, and love.

Book Quote:
"I don't know what to tell you, Troy. You can't paint everyone with the same brush. ... We need to stay true to God's Word. Give your fears and frustrations over to Him. Ask for His wisdom and guidance... When He's leading the way, and we're walking in step with Him, then we won't go wrong."

Fresh starts and second chances at Stone River Ranch.

Callie Morgan is ready for a fresh start, so she takes the opportunity to fix up her grandmother's shop, but that will take money so she takes on a job with Wyatt Stone, coordinating activities. Callie has been through a lot, but she is determined to do the best with what she's been dealt. She is a hard worker, and I liked how she has a strong Christian support system. Wyatt is a great father, and is very protective of his daughter, Mia. I liked how he is a strong Christian and active in his church.

I loved returning to Stone River Ranch, it is a great stand alone, but also fun to see familiar faces if you happened to have read previous books in the series. I loved the great interaction, themes of trusting God and second chances. A sweet second chance romance, with an enjoyable plot, and wonderful characters!

Love Inspired are my breath of fresh air reads and Bonding with the Cowboy’s Daughter was one of my favorite reading escapes recently.

Wyatt and Callie’s journeys to healing were commendable and seeing them together was so sweet. There were a few moments that did feel a tad farfetched to me but honestly did not take away from the charm whatsoever. It was great to see Wyatt get his happily ever after and I was surprised with how touching this novel is.

I felt hopeful when I put down this novel as this story is very uplifting. This is a well written clean, sweet read that shows what the power of second chances, faith, and love can do.

Book 3 in the Stone River Ranch series can be read as a stand alone, but do read Book 1, Rescuing Her Ranch, and Book 2, Redeeming the Cowboy. Both are really good.

I enjoyed the characters in this story. Callie was trying hard to do what she was sure her deceased grandmother wanted her to do. Wyatt is a single dad trying to deal with his grief and he has the most adorable little girl, Mia. I really would love to get to know them better. Maybe have coffee and go for a trail ride.

We see that grief can’t be worked away, or run away from. We have to work it through. And Wyatt had to learn that. Callie did too, but in a different way.

A sweet story of second chances, I highly recommend it

This was such a beautifully written story of love, loss, and moving forward again. Callie and Wyatt were each dealing with grief over the loss of loved ones and struggled with discerning the best path for their lives. Themes of faith, prayer and trust were seamlessly woven into the storyline and made for a very encouraging, hopeful and inspirational story. The book also explored the roles family members play in each other’s lives. Little Mia was so adorable! Now I want to go back and read the other books in the series, although this can definitely be read as a stand alone. Lovely story!

This is such a sweet and tender story! Callie Morgan has just caught her fiancée being unfaithful, right after she lost her beloved grandma. She returns to her grandma’s hometown in hopes of keeping her grandma’s gift shop open, but she is going to need a job in order to afford the repairs to the shop. Her car happens to quit just outside Stone River Ranch, and her old friend, Wyatt Stone, not only helps her with the car, but offers her a job at the family ranch. Wyatt is a widower with a young daughter, Mia. Can two people who are afraid to risk loving again, let go and let God?
This is the 3rd book in the Stone River Ranch series. It can easily be read alone, but the characters will make sense when read in order. I ‘m looking forward to book four!

This author has written a sweet, emotional story in which she handles the topics of loss and grief with tact and sensitivity. Childhood friends, Callie Morgan and Wyatt Stone, have each suffered loss that caused a need to avoid love rather than risk the hurt of losing someone again.

Read Bonding with the Cowboy's Daughter to see how Callie struggles with faith to trust and open her heart. Discover the role an adorable little girl plays in helping Callie see what is important. I found this book to be a captivating read during which I felt all the emotions the main characters experienced. I definitely recommend this book if you like inspirational romance.

This was such a sweet, clean romance about loss, love, family and second chances. I really enjoyed reading it!

Callie returns to Colorado to fix up her grandmothers gift shop after her death and runs into her childhood friend Wyatt. Both main characters are struggling with life and losses of loved ones. They work together to help each other with their needs-help with day to day tasks, a listening ear, empathy, and to find happiness again.

Easy to read, great characters and town setting. Highly recommend reading this Stone River Ranch romance.
