Prior to his first professional work, Tynion was a student of Scott Snyder's at Sarah Lawrence College. A few years later, he worked as for Vertigo as Fables editor Shelly Bond's intern. In late 2011, with DC deciding to give Batman (written by Snyder) a back up feature, Tynion was brought in by request of Snyder to script the back ups he had plotted. Tynion would later do the same with the Batman Annual #1, which was also co-plotted by Snyder. Beginning in September 2012, with DC's 0 issue month for the New 52, Tynion will be writing Talon, with art by Guillem March. In early 2013 it was announced that he'd take over writing duties for Red Hood and the Outlaws in April.
Tynion is also currently one of the writers in a rotating team in the weekly Batman Eternal series.
So haunting! The limited color scheme really adds to the atmosphere of the story. I'm a huge sucker for cool art in comics; the double page spreads are NOICE ‼️ Excited to get #5, sad that it will be over 🥲
I’m honestly not sure where to begin with this issue. It’s not bad, but for a series centered on Dracula, the absence of the titular character is becoming noticeable. We only see Dracula in brief flashes, just a panel or two, while most of the story focuses on other characters reacting to his unseen actions. The dialogue remains engaging, and the idea of the Count’s presence looming over London is compelling, but nothing here truly distinguishes this menace as Dracula himself. It could just as easily be any ordinary vampire causing chaos. It’s frustrating to feel so disconnected from the main figure of the story, and I’m hoping the final issue finally gives him the spotlight he deserves. Grade: C
Not my favorite issue, but the book continues to remain strong and the art continues to carry the book. Hopefully the final issue brings it all homehopefully the final issue brings it all home
The words are almost unnecessary, this is completely carried by the amazing art. Though I do wonder while doing a blood transfusion how they got so much blood everywhere.
