This second book was a little rough. The character Allan, kept having his name changed to Alex and then back again several times, it was pretty confusing. Also, the plot was kind of derpy, like the main villain, the leader of the religious cult, we never even got to see them, they what, died off page? Kind of a let down for me. And Lucas and Mike giving up on finding their relatives was a bit confusing. I mean, they are already 2 for 2 in finding Mike and Allan's family alive and well, why assume that your family is dead? Sure they are in a more dangerous neighborhood, but you don't know for sure.

Still like the series though.

Terrific addition

The second book is great, following up right where it left off in book 1. There is lot of growth, in terms of levels and skills and even team size. The new additions slot in seamlessly and the coordination of the team goes up as they face more adversities. I really liked the rational approach that the team took for what to do next after the farm was burnt down.

No better than the first

Bad math, little character development, many grammar mistakes, and the obligatory "religion=bad" kindle writers see as almost mandatory. Ill have to be real desperate to read the next one. The only good thing I can say is since it was on kindle, at least I didn't pay for it.

Engaging and sustaining read

Excellent read! Well written with excellent transition into and development of dungeon world and mechanics. Good character mix and development. Nice twisty plot line.

Great book

Great follow up to first book, needs a proof reader though for example one of the main characters changes name for a few pages.

Not So Bad

The book was not so bad, but some parts of it came across as if I was watching a friend do a boring gaming session.

I over all enjoyed the book the item that lowered my score was the immersion breaking of Alan becoming Alex and then Alan again.
