Totally Sigh-worthy! I loved Frida and her innocent awakening! She understood what she had to do but didn't know if she could pull it off and her journey was simply beautiful. I also loved Gunnar's voyage of love. Together they lit up the skies! I have just finished reading an ARC (Advance Reader Copy) of this book and am happy to leave my voluntary review.
This is the second in the lusty, mysterious and romantic series about shipwrecked Vikings and the women who, sometimes reluctantly, need them to perpetuate their island society. I have read it twice, the second time on Audible. The narration is perfect and there are even special effects! It grabbed me from the start. At first the men are seen as a source of sperm for the all-female island but relationships start to develop. All the characters have differences. I love that the stories of the 6 couples are concurrent so you can see the events and relationships from different perspectives. In Craved by the Viking, Frida has second sight and is often shunned or accused of witchcraft. She is reluctant to share her powers and visions with others for fear of being ostracized. She sees Viking Gunnar as her only chance at having a child. The book has great sexual tension and the fact that Frida is a virgin adds more steam to the story. I loved Gunnar who is not a warrior, but a gentle and patient man used to taming horses and uses his skills to try to discover Frida's secrets. The book has flashes of darker, frightening events in the future and hints at deeper things to come so I will definitely continue with the series.
I loved Frida and Gunnar! This book is a mystery, why are the women alone on the island? And then six handsome Vikings appear in a shipwreck with no memory of how they got to the island. Frida is a beautiful virgin with a gift for being able to read signs. Gunnar is perfect for her, he worked with horses and animals and he tamed Frida into feeling safe. I enjoyed their relationship with each other and watching them fall in love. I can’t wait to read more about the characters in this book!
I loved the dynamics of this pair! As in Book One this is Frida and Gunnar’s account of the story and how it evolves from their perspective. Once shunned and misunderstood by what she sees, Frida has resigned herself to a lonely existence amongst her people. Finding herself attracted to and looking after one of the shipwrecked men, life on the island takes a turn for the better. Finding himself living with a beautiful woman while he heals and being equally attracted to Frida, Gunnar makes the most of the situation. I found this story captivating and loved the build up of their relationship along with the problems that arose. Many questions still to be answered as these stories progress. Looking forward to the journey.
Title: Craved by the Viking Author Felicity Brandon and co author Anna Quinn Freda and Gunnar’s story is more a romantic story that was pure and beautiful. In my opinion. I took their story that way. The steam level is considerably high, but that’s a good thing. Their story is entertaining and works to the plot. Until next time my fellow readers. Read on!
Craved , Cared For , and. Cherished ! Craved By The Viking Book 2 : Bound and Betrothed Felicity Brandon and Anna Quinn continue there stories of the Island Of Woman and the Shipwrecked Men. Where Book 1 Tamed was about two very Strong willed and Domineering People, Craved is more Two People who were Loners. She was gifted with the Power of Sight . This made people Leary and Cautious around her. He devoted his life to the care of Horses. Making him very content around them . She wanting to find Love and be Excepted . Did The Gods Bring Them Together ? Would She find Love ? Was He the answer to her Prayers ? Sit. Back and Enjoy There Journey ! Frida was the sister to Hedda and the Grandchild to Bothild. Frida had a Gift of Sight . People would come to her for advice. Yet others were afraid of what she knew ! Her mind was always thinking never allowing to just feel for herself some happiness. She had never had a relationship with a man! Gunnar was one of the men that was shipwrecked. He had hurt his leg very badly and needed medical help with a lot of healing. He had spent his life taking care of horses as his Father before him had. He liked woman , but didn’t need a wife. Frida and Gunnar came together because she was assigned to take care of him . She believed the Freyja the God sent him to her . This was her chance for a Man of Her Own and a Child ! She needed to convince Gunnar of this ! She takes care of him ,Innocent as she is ! Things begin to Happen ! Maybe not so Innocent ! Is that enough for her ? Or is Love and Marriage the Only Answer ? This is such a Compassionate , Tender, Seductive Story ! A Loving and Touching Viking Tale something different ! Quite Beautiful and Endearing !
I love Viking stories! Maybe it’s my Celtic bloodline, but this series definitely satisfied my Viking romance obsession! The premise is fantastic: a Viking ship crashes on the shore of an island inhabited only by women. What happened to the men is a bit of a mystery that unfolds throughout the series. In short, the men went mad and abandoned the women, leaving them to eventually die out if they can’t produce children. The women believe the Gods have answered their prayers by sending them these strong, virile Vikings. Perfect for their baby-making plans. Their idea is simple: procreate with the Vikings, then send them on their way. But of course, things don’t go quite as planned. These independent women are in for more than they bargained for with Vikings who come with wicked senses of humor, filthy mouths, and plenty of stamina to… rise to the occasion.
If you enjoy Viking culture and romance, you can imagine how entertaining these pairings are! This collection includes the first three stories in the series. While the women and Vikings all share the same goal, each couple faces unique struggles and challenges, which kept the stories fresh and engaging.
The steamy scenes are very hot, and one unique touch is the addition of subtle sound effects (crashing waves, birds, etc) at just the right moments to enhance the experience. The narrators did an incredible job conveying the characters’ personalities and emotions; they truly performed the story rather than just reading it.
Five of the six books are already available on audiobook, and I’m eagerly waiting for the final one to release. If you’re a fan of Viking romances with humor, heat, and heart, this series is well worth your time!
Omigosh, y’all… A cinnamon roll viking? AAAAA FREEEEAKENNN CIIIIIIIINAMON ROLLLLLLL VIIIIIIIKING?! YASSSSSS!!!! Where has this tope been all my life?
Like, dear lawdy, Odin… I freaken loooooooooooved Gunnar! He was so sweet, sincere, and so attentive to Frida’s needs. I just wanted to pull him from the pages and hug him (and do other things too… ahem). Oh he made me smile so big. Imma just add him to my book boyfriend harem and keep him forever and ever!!
Whiplash coz we do need to give love to Frida. Shas been on the outside looking in for most of her life. She’s never felt like she fit in in her clan. She has a gift of kinda seeing the future… and that makes her people uncomfortable. So when she is assigned to take care of Gunnar, she feels like she finally belongs and has found her person. I love that she begins to open up and blossom with him…. even though there’s a tiny fear that he will reject her too once he finds out about her gift. But you know all will end well.
Frida and Gunnar scorched my kindle with their spicy sweetness. Very detailed smexy scenes, but these two made it all so passionate. Like seriously, sit in front of a fan when you read this…. It’s not the heatwave, it’s this book!
I just love that Felicity Brandon and Anna Quinn teamed up to write this series. I’ve read and enjoyed books by them separately. But together, they compliment each other’s writing styles so well. I can’t wait to read MORE!!!
Simply wonderful read, great characters and a simply wonderful scenario in this second book This is a wonderful second book in the series and I guarantee that you will thoroughly enjoy this simply wonderful read and as the story of the shipwrecked Vikings and the females that know that if they are going to perpetuate their numbers. The men are strong and healthy and the babies that they are responsible for procreating and the characters will become dear to your heart and you will enjoy reading all about them. Frida has second sight and is shunned by those that are around her. She has been accused of witchcraft and this has left her guarded of others as their fear and ignorance has caused them to be vindictive at times and then have totally ostracised her. I thoroughly enjoyed reading all about Gunner the Viking and the part he was in this wonderful second book in this wonderful series. I hope that you will thoroughly enjoy every moment of this simply amazing reas, I hope that you will look forward to the third book as much as myself. I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all their wonderful writing.
This is book 2 in the series.,in this book we follow the story of Frida and Gunnar. She is a bit of an outcast and loner due to her use of runes and her visions. These are not understood by her fellow clan and therefore make them afraid of her so she mostly stays to herself and floats around the outside circle of the clan. All thou the Frida would like is to accepted and loved and a family of her own. She is nursing Gunnar one of the injured men who crashed into their island shores back to health. He is not a sailor or warrior rather he looks after the Jarls horses. He is a kind and patient man. Frida begin a maiden is a bit shy and innocent around Gunnar but an attraction is growing between them. But a misunderstanding happens between them. We follow them on their journey of discovery of themselves and each other and their love for each other. This book had many laughs, love and peaks into the future of the island and other women on the island. It catches your from page one and keeps your attention all the way till the end. I really enjoyed the story and am looking forward to the rest of the series.
The story starts like the story from the first book, but with different characters and point of views. An interesting set up for a series. When Frida is restless one night and goes to the beach she finds a shipwreck with injured men. Frida is assigned to take care of Gunnar, the other five men by five other women. Frida has not been a popular person due to her gifts; she warned when she saw danger or bad things coming their way. Others thought her weird and men avoided her. This made her shy and insecure. Gunnar has a severe injury on his ankle and has to lay down for quite some time. Over all he is a nice guy, has declared himself as the eternal bachelor. And now they have to share a lot of time together…
I read this book after #1 of this series. I liked this book better because I liked both Frida and Gunnar better. I am looking forward to the next book in the series, we already met the heroine a few times, and I can’t wait to get to know her grumpy Viking guy. I am also curious to find out more about why the “original” men of the island left.
Not having read the first in this series I was surprised to find that there was no Viking plundering and fighting. This was a romance. Six Vikings are shipwrecked and recovering after rescue by an island with only women after their men have been gone for years now and we don't learn why. At first the women come close to slitting the throats of the men but their council wisely decides that they need babies and six women are assigned to the men. Our man is Gunnar a stablemaster who only came on the boat's crew on a dare and now finds himself badly injured with an ankle that will take a month or more to heal according to Elin the healer. The beautiful but shy virgin Frida takes care of him and they become close though Frida has special gifts and these cause her fears for the future. This slow sometimes steamy romance is all about how they overcome their shyness, fears and insecurities. Received this arc and have voluntarily reviewed.
Frida has a gift passed on to her by the goddess Freyja. She can read and interpret the runes. They say TRUST! Something is coming.
A ship lay wrecked upon their shores with six injured men. Frida found an injured horseman and was chosen to tend to his injuries. While tending to Gunnar, they talk and become closer.
This is an incredibly sweet story of an experienced man who comes to care for an innocent maiden and wishes to make her sensual growth pleasurable. Although she is hoping to conceive a child, her knowledge of male/female intimacy is extremely limited. Will Frida learn to trust Gunnar enough to allow him to teach her about sensual pleasures?
Both Gunnar and Frida must learn to overcome their own insecurities if they hope to find a future together. Will they be able to do this?
I highly recommend this beautifully alluring story!
If you're a fan of Viking storylines, then you should definitely check out 'Craved by the Viking', the second book in Felicity Brandon and Anna Quinn's "Bound and Betrothed" series. As an avid reader of both these independent authors, I was delighted to discover that their combined talents have created a storyline that is both intriguing and romantic. The book takes us on a journey of innocence and love, all wrapped up in a slow-burn chemistry that builds throughout the story. The main characters are so relatable and down-to-earth that it's easy to get lost in their world, which is brought to life by the authors' descriptive words. Overall, it's a wonderful read that I highly recommend. I can't wait to dive into book three, 'Surrendering to the Viking'.
A great addition to the Bound and Betrothed series. Each of the books in this series deals with the six shipwrecked and injured Vikings and the women who become their caretakers while they recover from their injuries. This storyline relates to Gunnar as he is care for by Frida and the close bond they form. Where all of this leads is unknown but it makes me want to continue reading the series. It is well written and entertaining. I received a free copy of this book via Bookfunnel and are voluntarily leaving a review.
Craved by the Viking is the story of Gunnar and Frida. He and some comrades are involved in shipwreck. He and some others managed to survive. But, they discover that they landed up on an island inhabited entirely by women. The women believe that the gods sent the rescued men to them for a reason…
This was such a fun, dark, enchanting story!! Gunnar is stalwart and has scruples. Frida wants nothing more than to return home…without hurting the woman who has nursed him to health. But, she has secrets and skills that few are aware of…and sees danger approaching!
Visions, Babies, Omens: A gripping beginning for this most unusual and original Viking story, Wonderful charismatic characters with undaunting courage. Frida and Gunnar have many struggles some terrifying before they finally realize just how much they love each other. This emotionally passionate love story takes us to a happy ending with a promise of more to come. Exceptionally passionate and explicit romance story that brought my review from 4 to a 5-star review. Mature Advisory💋💋💋💋+ 👀I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy for my honest thoughts and opinion.
This is the first book I have read in this series, but I will be getting the first one now. I loved the growth between these 2 people. Frida who is isolated, innocent but has a natural instinct, Gunnar, who is good with animals and nature, and encourages, her to blossom and come out of her isolation. This series has a mystery around it, and I am looking forward to how the other shipwrecked Vikings fare with their stories
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I've always been a sucker for a Viking romance, but this one is unlike any I've read before. He's not a fierce warrior who's out to conquer and while she's shy and insecure she also holds the power. Gunnar arrives on the island injured and Frida is the one who cares for him. This flip created an interesting dynamic that I'd love to see more of. The characters are fantastic, they have amazing chemistry, and the story is beautiful. I love the sense of mystery and the fast pace. And I really loved the amount of heat. Overall, it's another fantastic read by two amazing authors.
Six Vikings are shipwrecked and recovering after rescued by an island with only women This delicious story is about Frida and Gunnar I absolutely loved them the scenes are painted vividly, making you feel you're there It's an emotional romantic book that captured and held me from start to finish this listen/ read they created is a fantastic tale I can't wait for the next one. I recived a free copy of is audiobook at my request I'm voluntarily leaving a unbiased review.
Garth did such a fabulous job narrating this story he brought it to life.
This was the second in the series but takes place at the same time as book 1 - Tamed by the Viking. This was Frida's point of view, and her Viking was Gunnar. Frida had a softer approach, and her curiosity with her patient's physique brought her closer to him. Their connection was steamy. I look forward to the next, and hopefully, more will be explained as to the why and what's to come.
The narration by Gareth J. Davies was a continuation of the first book, and he did a wonderful job with all the characters.
Gorgeous read! And even more gorgeous audiobook with a very talented narrator! Frida is so sweet and afraid of her own “gift” (she sees glimpses of the future), but she’s also very lucky, because she finds Gunnar, who is a big cinnamon roll of a Viking! They are perfect for each other and their chemistry is off the charts. The steamy scenes are very hot, but very emotional as well. I loved the writing immensely. And the “mystery” of the island becomes even more intriguing with each book and I can’t wait to see how it will be solved!
Men shipwrecked on Hoy are taken in by some of the women on the island. Frida, a young woman scorned for her seer abilities nurses her patient, and believes Freyja sent him to give her a child, but her feelings for him grow. The second book in this series, and Frida's innocence and anxiety makes the growing relationship difficult. Brandon and Quinn paint the perfect picture of two apparently mismatched people learning about each other in trying circumstances. Tender love, gentle feelings and an uncertain future. Terrific.
I’m loving this series. Same Island, same women, same rescued men, however, each story is oh sooo different. Frida is oh so innocent and she has secrets that have kept all the men of her tribe afraid of her. Now she was an injured captive audience. But Will her captive be able to resist his urges to teach this sweet tempting dish the facts of life.Thats what kept me turning pages for each tantalizing moment. I cannot wait for the next in this series.
I love love Viking men and this second book was very interesting. Frida gas a special gift and Gunner her appointed patient has the patience of a Saint for the girl that's called crazy and being a witch.
I really enjoyed the connection between them he isn't harsh but firm and he is willing to teach her the ways of pleasure. So hot !!
So many things I need to know , the island, where are the previous men and what's gonna happen. I'm on the edge and loving the suspense.
This was easy to read and went at a good pace. Gunnar and Frida were such likeable characters and were well suited to one another. The way they got to know one another felt natural. There's not a lot of action in the story instead you get the character development. You find out who they are and their backgrounds. You see their relationship develop. Together they sizzle but at the same time their love is kind and tender. I enjoyed it.
A Most Delightful Read!! These Authors have chosen Gareth J. Davies as their Narrator !! All of these books have been a Fantastic Read ,However, because of Gareth,s Skills and Capabilities the Books and Characters Virtually Come Alive !! Wonderful Strong and Believable Characters and Great Story Lines !! These Authors make a Most Awesome collaboration and I highly Recommend this Series !! I Can't Wait for AudioBook 3 to come Live !!
Frida, is an innocent, and an outcast because of her connection to the spiritual world. Frida has no experience with men, she finds herself assigned to care for Gunnar who is more comfortable with horses than people! Gunner regains his strength he is determined to give her an education in the way of the Viking. You will find brilliant characters, humour, steam, angst and action.
A captivating romance, the second book in the series. Frida is sweet and virginal but shunned because of her visions and use of runes. Gunnar was so engaging and lovely to Frida. I loved the mystery of this series and the characters are so well developed. Looking forward immensely to the next book.
