Growing up I was familiar with the Charlton Comics Space: 1999 comic books, so these were brand new for me. I still prefer the Charltons though. Nostalgia? Perhaps, but that's the way the Black Sun bounces...

I used to buy back this magazine from when it was first published, for a few years, but decided I had outgrown it moving on to music weeklies. Did enjoy the Space 1999 tv series and had no knowledge, at the time, that the show featured in Look-in, so I was glad to find out about this publication. Might have been a suggestion on Amazon or an advert on Facebook? I actually hate adverts but will concede I have discovered a fair bit from FB ads.

Getting back to the anthology, not just all the Space 1999 strips from the magazine and annuals, also plenty images, interviews and general interesting trivia about the show. A joy to read. Genuinely couldn't put in down

This volume reprints all of the "Space 1999" comic pages from Look-In comic, as well as some from the various annuals. The artwork by John M. Burns is good, but that by Mike Noble is superb. I've always loved Noble's skill at storytelling, and for capturing the look of a series and the actors involved. This is great fun for the fans.
