It’s officially winter season in the magical small town of Lavender Falls and that means it’s about to be colder than a yeti’s balls. After the success of the Full Moon Fall Festival, Eleanor Silva is put in charge of the Whimsical Winter Wonderland Festival. For the ex party queen that’s no big deal. Until she finds out she has to work with the family she left behind eight years ago.
Caleb Kiernan is a quiet grumpy elf who loves running his bar, The Drunken Fairy Tale Tavern. There’s a reason Caleb likes to keep to himself. He’s been cursed. For years he has never had any reason to want to break it. But a certain flirty pixie has dug under his skin and he can’t resist her anymore.
This season there’s family drama, saving magic, breaking a curse and trying to find the time to get hot and heavy. Can two people who are polar opposites see the difference between love and lust or will everything explode like pixie dust?
I tried SO HARD to slowly read this book so I can savor every second but I couldn’t put it down! Eleanor and Caleb have been circling each other for years. But no matter how hard she tried, he never fell for her flirty charm. But circumstances change when she needs a desperate “break” from her workaholic life. Enter our grumpy elf, Caleb. He’s the friends with benefits she always wanted but never knew she needed. That is, until she disproves he has a kissing curse & the towns magic is at risk of dying! OH NO!!!!!! I LOVED THIS BOOK. I LOVE THIS TOWN. AND I LOVE THESE CHARACTERS. I have resonated with these characters so much and feel seen. Plus the town festivals and town drama is so cute and heart warming. It’s like a hallmark special but make it magical! Tropes: Small Town Romance Semi friends to lovers Fast Burn Paranormal Romance LOVED: The tension built in book one and bled into book two! OMG The special drink JUST FOR HER. Swoon The friend group is ELITE Also one of the side characters is named Bridget! HOW COULD I NOT LOVE THAT?!
Brb, hopping on Zillow to see if I can move there ASAP!
I got lucky and had the honor of reciving ARC for this book. Thank you for the opportunity!
Another seasonal festival in Lavender Falls!❄️☃️🌨
There are some new challanges and mysteries for the residents of this supernatural small town. Focus in this book is on Caleb and Eleanor and their feelings for each other that have accumulated over the last 4 years. Caleb's curse got in the way of making a move on Eleanor, but not anymore. This man is tired of suppressing his attraction and is on a mission! 👏👏👏 For the pixie who burst into his life and made it colorful with every smile she sent his way he is ready to try and change his fate.
I love me a grumpy MMC who breaks down his walls just for one girl. And Eleanor finally learns to lose control and let someone take over and take care of her.
The spice in this book came way sooner than expected and I'm not mad about it.🤭
The story also focuses on family relationships and struggles. I always love to see that in a book especially bonds between sibilings. And I love all the female and male friendships. How they have eachothers back and feel safe to be open and vulnerable within their little circle.
It was nice seeing the characters from previous book again and meeting some new ones. I'm excited to get to know the other couples better in the next books, especially Sailor (I'm very interested in his story) and Crystal. 🤗

I may be a Pixie but I am mighty in personality! I have always been there for others and learned to never rely on anyone other than myself since my mother died. Que the daddy issues I have learned to deal with it. But now Magic is in trouble. I don’t know hot to fix it. My group of friends one of which is a handsome Elf Caleb and I are going to figure it out. But not before figuring out how to help my grumpy Elf friend. Just another thing on my to-do. Reconnect with my sister, Help Caleb, Save magic all while pulling off an amazing town festival.By the stars. I’m a strong independent Pixie I can do this!
Thoughts: This was a pretty cute read. I was hoping that the plot would expand a little more maybe have a bit more depth. Eleanor and Caleb are absolutely the cutest. It just felt like the base of it was “physical”. The development of the characters was very shallow in terms of like-ability and growth. There were points where it felt like the story was dragging on. The base of the story was great however felt a bit like running in place as some scenes/chapters were unnecessary All the fundamentals were there, but in some ways it lacked substance. I loved Eleanor’s connection to the tree but it didn’t flow well with how little we knew about her and her mother, it felt almost last minute. This story has really great bones. The potential this has is huge. I feel this could have benefited heavily from a bit more editing as there were some grammatical errors Overall the book was good and I enjoyed following the mystery of tree. Also Sailor, I’d really love to learn more about the mystery Siren.
It’s absolutely baffling to me how I could like the second book in this series so much better than the first one. Eleonore and Caleb’s romance was so much more compelling to me, their chemistry was unreal and as characters they felt more whole like I could feel all the way around them. I liked Eleanore, I thought she was fun and I wanted to be her friend. I thought Caleb was really hot and like he was saying and doing things that I felt if someone else were to say and do them I wouldn’t like it but I liked the way he was doing it….so bravo sir. The general conflict and adventure of the story was pretty exciting too. I had more fun, i wanted to know what was going to happen, and I was leaning into background characters too while trying to predict their possible futures. I still noticed some of the writing style which in the first book I found to be choppy and a little corny at times, but this time around as a whole everything worked so much better that it wasn’t derailing. This was also possibly one of the smuttiest books I’ve ever read… while also being limited be this “curse” which was creative. Like so much oral, so many scenes, so often. And so descriptive, truly a starved man. I could be wrong but five peppers in my book 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
I was so fortunate to receive an eARC of this book. And after having technical difficulties (which Ms. Isabel Barreiro herself helped with-thank you!) I read this book in a single sitting. I could not have put it down if I wanted to!
This grumpy x sunshine romance with found family trope for the entire friend group was adorable. The whole cast was amazing; I can't wait to read more about them in her other books. (I need more of the female cast reading smutty romance books and the Disney and Princess Bride references overall were so cute)
The main couple calls each other nicknames to get on each others nerves in the beginning but it ends up becoming terms of endearment (like they were ever anything else)
Cozy fantasy should not be this HOT. Caleb's jealousy, protectiveness, possessiveness, and how well he knows her had me kicking my feet and screaming throughout the book.
This is the 2nd book in a fairytale series Isabel is working on, and I am obsessed! The sweet little town where the story takes place feels so magical and cozy, and I wish I could visit!
Easily a one sitting read! It’s has a little bit of everything, it’s sweet, serious, spicy, and funny! I love how much care she puts into writing her characters; though each book mostly focuses on 2 main characters, you still get to keep up with the others throughout the series. I cannot wait to read the next one!
I won't rate the book because that doesn't seem fair since I DNF'd at 22%. I don't know if I didn't like it because I was already in a book rut but I could not get into it. It felt too rush and like it needed to be proofread a few more times. I enjoyed the concept of the book but too many things were happening for the amount of pages in the book and all of the "conflict", up until the point I got to, were so easily resolved that it felt like there wasn't much conflict at all.
"She was like a warm summer day. Everything she touched turned into light, including myself. Not only did she brighten my day but she made me want to be in the sun with her.”

This was an adorable spicy story! Small paranormal town paranormal Lavender Falls has the most colourful residents, from werewolves to vampires, pixies, to elves!
Eleanor is the pink hair pixie, she’s bubbly & sassy and knows how to have fun
Caleb is the grumpy elf who owns the Drunken Fairy Tale Tavern, tall white blonde and scruff
They’ve been making eyes for 4 years and finally Caleb decides enough is enough. It’s not exactly slow burn because it starts out as FWB but they don’t actually do the deed until much later. Of course there has to be a twist!
Lavender falls is experiencing some magical chaos, the land is dying and Eleanor and her friends need to find out why! Eleanor must go up against her estranged father and sister to try to make it right! And btw, Caleb is cursed! So they also need to find a way to reverse that too…no big deal!
Especially when you have such great friends! Eleanor’s best friends include Lily (witch), Lola (vampire), Tino (necromancer/witch), Sailor (siren) and honourable mention to Caleb’s brother Flynn (elf)! Lily and Tino had their romance story in book 1 so definitely check that out! I found myself so interested in the other characters, there’s a lot of chemistry between the group so it’s really fun.
It gives me an Ella Enchanted/ Princess Bride feel, Lavender Falls feels like Gilmore girls’ Stars Hollow and a little pinch Disney! Overall the best vibes
Tropes: grumpy x sunshine, friends to lovers, paranormal, family drama, friendship, slow burn but not, FWB
There is also a blurb in the back for book 3!! I’m hoping there’s more about Sailor because he seems like a secret waiting to be revealed
✨ If Stars Hollow was an enchanted small town, it would be Lavendar Falls. The small town feel with the town people is charming with a side of saucy. I found it easy to imagine their world and the atmosphere of the places visited in the book.
✨ I loved the MC, Caleb a grumpy, handsome reclusive elf who owns the local tavern. He hides a secret that can alter his life forever and tends to keep everyone at arm's length.
✨ Enter Eleanor the feisty pixie that turns his world upside down in the best way. She brings out another side of Caleb behind closed doors that is just wow... (fans-self) 🔥
✨ Eleanor is fiercely independent that she doesn't know what to do when someone wants to take care of her and expect nothing in return. They have an attraction that is hard to resist, and it sets them on a discovery journey of self-love, care and an adventure to help their small town.
✨ I enjoyed the food references as it allowed us to see Eleanor connected to her family roots.
✨ As the oldest sister of my family, I appreciate the relationship between Eleanor and her sister, Crystal as well as Caleb and his sister. Family isn't always perfect and there is a nice representation of that here.
✨ This book has found family, fast burn, witty banter and fantastic side characters. I cannot wait to read their books as the world expands to see more of the people who live in Lavendar Falls.
✨Thank you for the privilege of reading your story! 🩷 (e-arc)

Tropes •🪻Grumpy × Sunshine •🪻breaking a curse •🪻lust to lovers •🪻small town •🪻road trip •🪻waterfall shenanigans •🪻Friend-ish with benefits
I loved this adorable story with spice set in a paranormal small town and instantly fell in love with the cute cover.I have not read the first book in the series but would definitely go for it as I loved this one.I loved how Isabel brought small town romance, Disney references, a festival and cozy fantasy all together in this book .Special mention to the curated playlists for Eleanor and Caleb.
I would recommend this book if you love a cutesy cozy fantasy romance with some spice in it and I can't wait to read Flynn and Lola's story next!!
Thank you Isabel for the digital review copy of this book and making me a part of the ARC team.
Lust, Love & Pixie Dust is a wonderful story about an energetic, fun-loving and workaholic pixie, a brooding bartending elf and their mission to make a successful festival, save the dying magic and figuring out how to get together while simultaneously not......and failing...... just a lil'bit. Pair that with a meddling magical friendgroup, a sassy fox and steaming tension....I mean deadline! And you got yourself a winner!!!!!
Isabel Barreiro is an up & coming new author with brewing ideas and fantastical seams. (Pun intended!) Picking up where she left off in "Falling for Fairytales", she brought us "Lust, Love & Pixie Dust", the second installment in the Lavender Falls series, where we see FMC Eleanor triapse through making a successful winter festival, reconnecting with family and herself, with the help of MC Caleb. Isabel not only gave us another relatable character, but brought out the diferent aspects in friendships & personalities, dealing with adulting and being themselves while acheiving who they want to be in work, personal and familial life. I hope you enjoy Eleanor & Caleb as much as I did, and if you haven't read Liliana & Celestino's story, I'm telling you..........RUUUUUUUUUUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go NOOOOOOWW!
I am so glad that I was able to receive an ARC copy of Lust, Love & Pixie Dust 🥰
(All thoughts and opinions are my own)
This book was absolutely adorable and I loved it 🥰 it had the vibes of a cute fluffy (and spicy) romance all tied in with fantasy elements. I love the small town vibe of Lavender Falls 💜 it was so cozy. I loved Eleanor and how strong she was, I also found myself relating to her a bit too. Caleb was just 😍🥵 we love a brooding MMC who's secretly soft. Both are very stubborn people but I loved how Caleb made Eleanor feel safe 🥹 the way he cared for her and how they helped each other. So sweet! And the friendships??? Loving and hilarious! There was romance, small town drama, family drama (on both sides), curses, and magic! Everything all rolled up into a cute and cozy paranormal romance!
I am definitely going to go back and read book 1, which I did not read beforehand 🙈 but I don't personally think it is 100% necessary because I still enjoyed this one!!
Eleanor and Caleb are the sweetest!! I love all of the tension between them!
All of the setup for Lola and Flynn's book, and for Crystal and Sailor's book is 🤌🏻
I still really like the town and think it's giving Stars Hollow (Gilmore Girls) vibes.
The side plot took a little bit for me to get invested in, but it was good overall. My only thing is I would have liked it if it was slightly faster-paced.
A couple of quotes I loved:
After that you'll be too tired to go back home so you’ll have to spend the night sleeping in my arms. Where. You. Belong. Got it?”
Which meant it was almost time for the dreaded meeting with the boogie monster. No offense to the real boogie monster. I heard he was vacationing in Niue this winter season.
Overall I loved it and can't wait for the third book in the series!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
disclaimer: I don’t really give starred reviews. I hope my reviews provide enough information to let you know if a book is for you or not. Find me here: https://linktr.ee/bookishmillennial
This was an absolutely adorable and steamy friends with benefits romance. The no-kissing curse was so goofy but a fun challenge for our main characters. The steam was delectable and I loved the chemistry between this elf and pixie!
The familial dynamics between Eleanor, her father, and her sister were so heartbreaking, but wildly relatable and authentic. Families can cause so much pain and leave behind collateral damage, but Eleanor’s strength and self-regard was inspiring and beautiful to see.
Steam rating: 4 out of 5
Content Warnings Graphic: Sexual content Moderate: Misogyny, Toxic relationship, and Abandonment
This was such an adorable story with some spice in it. I absolutely enjoyed every second of this book. It’s just what you expect actually, so if you like the cover and the name of this book definitely go for it, judge it by its cover. I had read the first book of this series right before I started this book, and let me tell you Isabel Barreiro really improved herself, I still really liked the first book, but this one was written a lot better.
Like I said just a cutesy small town magical romance with some spice, I really just adored this series.
Also if you’re like me and read a lot of dark romance books, these types of books are usually what I go for in between. Just so I could have some variety and to not only read dark romance so it’s like a little snack (that’s the best way I could describe it).
Uhhh step aside Liliana and Celestino it’s Eleanor and Caleb’s time to shine! I cannot get enough of the grouchy elf and sparkly pixie combo in this book!! We’re back in Lavender Falls and this time Eleanor is running the town festival. We’ve got family drama, a kiss curse, and a friend-ish duo who can’t keep their hands off each other
Definitely a cozy fantasy read that’s perfect for a late winter/early spring read! I loved the vibes, enjoyed the plot, and am always happy to dive back into the world of Lavender Falls. It’s the second book in a series and I do recommend reading them in order. Different couple, but same friend group and world so it’s just better if you’ve already been introduced to it all!
I am more of a dark romance type of girl, but started following Isabel from TikTok and I’ve read her debut novel and this one. Both of them are adorable and just so cutesy fun. The couple Eleanor and Caleb are different than the debut novel couple, as we got a grumpy MC and Eleanor is a strong independent woman who doesn’t need anyone’s help. I love that Isabel includes food references that just connect you to the characters even more and provide insight into the family roots. And the family aspect in general, as a Latina it’s always nice to see familial ties not only by blood but found family. ALSO! The banter between these two characters?!? Ooff! I love it all.
Thank you for allowing me to continue to read your works Isabel 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Book 1 had me hooked and I couldn’t wait for book 2 because Caleb and Eleanor stole the show for me. Both characters had their own complex moments but together they could face anything. I love how Caleb let Eleanor be her, didn’t try to dim her light, and had no problem putting her in her place to remind her who she belonged to. Spicyyyyy!
Finally, I love the friendship/found family aspects of this book. They looked out for one another and we should all be so lucky to have that in our lives.
Can’t wait for the rest of the series. I need Lola and Sailors stories asap.
Thank you for the ARC Isa! Keep telling these magical stories. 🩷
Love, Lust, & Pixie Dust is a cozy romantasy set in a small town. While this is book 2, it can be read as a standalone (I know because I may have overlooked book 1 🫣)
I adored Caleb & Eleanor! I loved watching their relationship develop (the mutual pining!)
Also there’s a festival, some family drama, some curses to break, found family, Disney references, and a magical tree - what more does a book need?!
All in all, a perfect blend of small town contemporary romance and cozy fantasy (& I need to pick up book 1 and then wait impatiently for the other books 😭) Many thanks to @authorisabelbarreiro for the eARC!
Super cute magical small town with some spice! This is actually book 2 of the Lavender Falls series but I didn’t realize that until I was into the book already and it wasn’t obvious at all so I’d say they can be read as standalone. I love the dynamics of the characters and their friendships felt genuine. The MMC, Caleb, is HOT 🥵 The slow burn was sweet between him and Eleanore, the MFC. I really loved all the details of a small magical town and the festival sounded like pure magic! I’d love to visit Lavender Falls!!
My review is 4 stars due to grammar. I’m not the grammar police by any means but it often became distracting at times with the misspellings and lack of punctuation.
4 and half stars It is a very nice small town paranormal book! I love that the supernatural species are not so common, I would have prefer if their power would have been explored more. I didn't read the first book (yet. I will though!) so maybe they were explore in there. I do regret to not have read the first book before this, but the book stand even read alone. I look forward to reading the next books (expecially the one with sailor!) ✨ Grumpyxsunshine ✨ Paranormal small town ✨ Elf x Pixie ✨Road trip ✨Curse ✨Long hair MMC ✨Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️
I wanted to love this more because it was cute and I loved the magical aspect, Caleb was pretty darn hot and the spice was spicing 🔥but ultimately this book felt too busy and chaotic for me. I wish there was less going on so that maybe I would have cared more about what was going on if that makes sense.
Banter- ✔️ Cozy Small Town Vibes- ✔️ Friends-ish with benefits- ✔️ Romance with a dash of spice- 🌶 🌶
Isabel Barreiro has done it again with her second novel in the Lavendar Falls series. A fun winter read full of magic and mystery! Reading Caleb and Eleanor's story as it evolves is truly something special.
Sweet story within a contemporary while very magic setting. Both MCs are super cute (both individually and together). A little bit of mystery, a lot of angst and building tension, and an overall easy read. ✨
This book is so cute. It reminded me of Winx but making it more grown up (and spicy 🔥). The chemistry between the main characters is undeniably good and makes you keep reading. This is one of my comfort books now and can’t wait for book 3!
I'm going to go back to this book once it's edited. I really liked the story setup, but I could not get past the lack of commas, which kept taking me out of the story. This is a reminder to self for the future.
Omg are you kidding me, this book was AMAZING. Caleb and Eleanor are just 😩😩 I adore this series and can’t wait for the rest of the books in it. They’re such cute fantasy reads with some mystery, spice and romance. Perfect
