A storm breaks out in London at the end of summer when two men, Amon and Leonard, find themselves taking refuge from the deluge in a forgotten pub. Amon notices that he knows Leonard, unleashing a flood of painful memories from university days years ago when their friendship was destroyed by their adoration of the same woman.
In an attempt to rebuild their friendship they decide to go on a journey to walk the famous Besseggen ridge in Norway. Instead, jealousy returns with full force as they trek through the mountains, throwing up perilous twists and turns as they head into the unknown.

I love a good thriller, and "Scuffle" certainly ticked boxes for me. It’s a fast read, with several tension-building, page-turning plot twists that revolve around 4 main characters: Amon and Leonard – school chums who fell out years ago and who’ve unexpectedly reconnected; Leonard’s wife – who also happens to be Amon’s former love; and a mysterious young woman the men meet when on a fated hiking trip in Norway.
"Scuffle" has all the elements of a Nordic noir film and for that reason, I hope Axel Georg considers turning his talent to screen writing!
Great page turner! This book is a brilliant escape from our day to day, taking you deep into the precarious Norwegian mountains and into an adventure that will stay with you. I enjoyed meeting these compelling characters; the author displays an insightful knowledge of human nature and the range of emotions between friends and lovers. Highly recommend.
