Just want shout "thank you!" to the author for once again aiding me in my reading slump. I have not been feeling well and struggling to finish books recently. I don't know what it is about her books, but they always snap me out of a slump. I just want to start off saying I love this funny dysfunctional but also functional family in this book. I always enjoy revisiting their story and what they are up to. I personally really liked getting a story focused on Kyan this time around. He often feels very aloof and misunderstood in the other stories and it was nice to see his side of things. I also appreciated the vampire element in this book. Was not expecting a vampire romance in a book centered on aliens, but I'm all here for it! I do feel most of the plot was a bit predictable, but I think that's typically a comforting aspect of alien romances. I was a bit confused for a second when elements of this book overlapped with a couple of previous books so that it spanned a little more time. It was totally fine once I caught on so that we got Kyan's POV in those, but I had a couple of DeJa'Vu moments for sure. If you like a Dom/Sub dynamic in steamy scenes, I think you will be pleased with this one! Overall, I had a fun time reading this one and highly recommend for alien romance lovers. Thank you again to the author for allowing me to read and review this book!

🔥 “Moonavi… The ice to my fire.”
~~~
Naomi was once a successful OBGYN, but her bright future was diminished when she was turned into a vampire. Despite the hardships thrown her way, I loved her strength and courage to keep to her principles and stand her ground. Even more, she’s so caring, feisty, compassionate and more humane than humans themselves. Naomi is an incredible woman and I adored her so, so much!
And then, we have Kyan Monroe! For all the stories so far, this alien dragon shifter has been nothing but grumpy, growly, arrogant and secretive. But he’s so much more to him than that! Because Kyan is fierce, dangerous, incredibly loyal and caring, determined, resourceful, and will do everything in his power to protect the people he cares about. Kyan is a remarkable male with quite the sweet tooth and I couldn’t help but adore every single thing about him!
I absolutely loved everything that happened between Naomi and Kyan! Naomi becomes Kyan’s assistant to gather more information about the mysterious Monroe. But things don’t go according to plan. I adored those two together! Their chemistry was off-the-charts right from the start and I loved every moment they spent together. Ohhh, and the tension! Naomi and Kyan were such opposites but they were so understanding and supportive of one another and fit so well together. And when they couldn’t resist the undeniable attraction, the spice was absolutely SPICING with those two! Ohhh, I absolutely loved every passionate moment Kyan and Naomi shared. Who could’ve thought that the bossy alien dragon would love to give up control in the bedroom. But both Naomi and Kyan are keeping dangerous secrets and have a lot on their plates. What would happen when everything comes to light and will their love be strong enough to overcome all? Well, you’ll have to read the story to find out.
In addition, the storyline was phenomenal! Alien dragons, vampires, secrets, suspense, tension, twists, action, smoking-hot romance… What more could a reader want?! And crows! Oh, with that story I love crows even more (yes, Felix, you’re an incredibly good birdie and you deserve all the peanuts)! With everything happening, I was glued to the pages till the very end, excited to see how everything will be resolved.
Overall, the story is another spectacular addition to the series and an incredible series finale! And I absolutely loved every single page of it!
I’m really going to miss the Monroe brothers and their mates, but I’m so looking forward to the next absolutely amazing stories Ivy Knox will share with us!
4.25 stars. Naomi, the female vampire lead, is depressed and struggling with the reality of being forcibly changed and taken from the good life she had established and being an outcast because she refuses to kill people to feed. When her boss orders her to be a personal assistant to gain information, she’s not excited but doesn’t see any other option.
Kyan, the male alien dragon shifter assassin lead, hasn’t stop pursuing his calling just because he’s come to Earth. He’s watched all his “brothers” find mates but he has no expectation or desire of that for himself. He also doesn’t believe he needs an assistant and is furious that one has been hired for him.
Neither of them wants Naomi present but she can’t afford to be sent away. And the longer she’s there, the more Kyan comes to appreciate her. And then care for her. But they both have serious enemies looking to harm them. Can they be safe and together?
This story is dual POV, well written and edited, and a complex finale to this series, though it did address several darker themes, which the author outlined for those with triggers. I enjoyed the character development for both lead characters and the way that development allowed their relationship to form. I enjoyed the world building and the way both characters were deeply engaged with improving the world they lived in. I appreciated the grittiness of the situations they dealt with. I enjoyed the way Naomi renewed her confidence to stand up to her abuser. I enjoyed Kyan’s acceptance of his own interests and limitations. I enjoyed the ending and the cameos from previous characters in the series.
I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.
Finally! This grumpy and angry Monroe has finally met his own mate in Naomi, a character who stands out brilliantly among the female leads of the previous books. While the earlier heroines were sweet and endearing, Naomi brings something uniquely special to the table. Ivy never fails to provide romance and steamy scenes. Oh yeah, Kyan can be bossy in his company, but with Naomi?! Let's just say he likes to give Naomi complete control.😉😏
One of the standout elements of this book is the concept of "Moonavi...The fire to my ice." This is such a poetic and profound declaration, far better than the traditional "I love you." It's simply beyond beautiful.
The newly introduced characters, or should I say pack of shifters, caught my attention. The story itself is not a cliffhanger, but it feels like there's a bigger story waiting to be told. I don't know, maybe there will be a future story for each shifter or maybe not. Either way, these new additions were intriguing.🤔
A special mention must be made to recognize Felix, Naomi's crow best friend. I keep anticipating that he might speak. He might as well speak by the way he responds to Naomi. It’s these small, delightful details that add a little charm to the story.🐦‍⬛
The epilogue serves as a perfect wrap-up, offering a glimpse into the lives of the Monroe brothers and their mates. It’s a quite satisfying ending that ties up loose ends while leaving room for my imagination to wander.
Surprise, there are vampires, and other stuff. So that shocker was fun, and no need to worry, there’s more shockers too. No, I don’t feel like I gave anything away because it’s in the blurb, but vampires…and other stuff. I loved this storyline, all the possibilities, and all the shockers. Absolutely loved these two, it was great getting to see more of Kyan, and really understand him, and his secrets. I feel like this should’ve been called the super secret life of Kyan. Because he definitely has a few, surprise my girlfriend is a vampire, surprise there are vampires, and surprise…you’re gonna have to read the book to get the next one…you’re welcome. Oh, and his love for sweets *winks*. These two shouldn’t work, you know the whole vampire and alien dragon dynamic, but they really, really do, and so well I might add. Their story is proof that you don’t mess with vampires in love, their dragon boyfriend and his family…you just don’t, because shit will get real and fast.
Safe read, with a horn holding boss vamp, and the sexy dragon boss object of her affection. We get to see all of our favorites from the series, and I do mean all of them, even Harper and Luka’s sons. I don’t know if there will be more in the series, but I am hoping so, at least more in this world, there are so many ways to go. Is this my “subtle” hint…absolutely. Loved it, and definitely need more. A great epilogue and a hea.
This is the second book I've read from the Monroe brothers series. This one, in particular, had a unique touch since it's not about a human with an alien, but a vampire. I loved Naomi's personality and how she tries to keep her humanity as intact as possible after a horrible fate instead of becoming a monster like the others in her cell. The dynamic of both of them being high together was great. Kylan gradually opens up to Naomi, and she always has a dessert for him. They look beautiful together. Kylan, after being such a grump, found his other half—none other than a vampire with a pet crow that loves peanuts.
There isn't much spice, but what is there is really good. The sub/dom relationship between them was intriguing—who would have thought that our dragon loves to be dominated in bed? The opportunity they gave Naomi to save the day with her former profession was a great detail, bringing her back into the world she loved. The story was interesting, full of action, mystery, funny moments, and spice. It had many elements that complemented each other perfectly. I must admit, one of my favorite characters was Felix the crow, who saved the day a couple of times. He's a pampered bird, and I loved the company he provided to Naomi.
Kylan is the last of the brothers, so I suppose this book concludes the series. It was a great ending to the wonderful story of the Monroe brothers.
This was such an enjoyable read!! Ivy Knox writes fantastic alien romance and the Stranded on Earth series is especially good. They’re sweet and comfortable with a little bit of spice and a teeny bit of suspense.
I liked Kyan and Naomi together. Them getting high together was pretty damn cute. I have to admit I struggled with Kyan’s character at first, he almost came off as someone on the autism spectrum, so my brain couldn’t relate but I think that’s why they worked so well as a couple, they seemed to balance each other out. Naomi, and also maybe little Hudson, helped Kyan open himself up and be more vulnerable.
I hated that the family were at odds with each other for a lot of the book 😭 but I loved the way things were resolved. I’m so happy Naomi had a chance to show off her skills and save the day!
The spice was fairly low, the focus was more on the story, but what there was of it was delicious. I love a good Domme/sub relationship especially when the sub is so controlling outside of the bedroom 🥵
Kyan was the last of the brothers to become mated and I assume that means the series is over. I admit I’m sad to see it wrapped up as I really liked this cosy alien romance series and could definitely keep reading more. I can’t wait to see what’s next for Ivy!
This is Naomi and Kyan's book. From the moment that I saw that these two were not just ordinary human beings, I knew that their story would be really intriguing.
Naomi's personality was really different from the heroines of the previous books. She was given a secret mission to spy on Kyan and, with her abilities, it worked for a little while. Well, that was up until the point she started falling in love with him. Kyan was definitely a grumpy hero with lots of secrets on his own. It took a while for him to open up and finally recognize his soulmate in Naomi.
The spice wasn't that much, but when we did have the love scenes they were definitely very hot and kinky...and let's not forget the sub/Dom relationship they had. The most surprising turn in it... Naomi was the dominator in bed.
I really enjoyed Naomi and Kyan's love story, but there was still something bothering me through it. I still prefer my fictional alpha men to be the dominating person within a relationship...in every aspect.
Wow! What a fantastic story! I had previously read the first two books in the series and thoroughly enjoyed reading them. I was given the opportunity to read this last book in the series and absolutely loved reading about Naomi Zhao, who was a leading surgeon in the gynaecology department until she was turned into a vampire. She is given an assignment to infiltrate the business of Kyan Monroe. Kyan is an alien draxilios shifter from the planet Sufoi. Her job is to spy on Kyan and report back to her cell leader Elaine, on what secrets he is hiding. This is all before she falls in love with Kyan and decides to no longer do. The story gets more exciting from this point and it really draws you in. I loved the drama and action that takes place from there. Their relationship is really taken through a rough patch until finally they get their happily ever after.
I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and I am reviewing with my honest and fair opinion.
Kyan is so clinical and work focused he forgets about the importance of connection and family. When Naomi comes into his life as his assistant he swears he doesn’t need it. But she proves to be useful.
What he doesn’t know is that she’s a vampire and has been coerced into spying on him. But she begins to develop feelings. And so does he. But he knows it’s not appropriate as her boss.
When they share their secrets and become closer she stands up to her cell leader and tells her she won’t do it anymore. But the damage has been done.
Kyan has also been keeping secrets. And is his secrets keep him busy it drives a bigger wedge in his family.
The relationship is great. The banter and wit. And their ability to relate to each other and bring out the best in each other. It’s a great conclusion to the Stranded on Earth series. I’m glad Kyan got his HEA.
I received an ARC of this for free. I am voluntarily leaving this review.
Omg I loved this book when two strong people come together and have more in common than they even thought they did and made me lol in moments in this book which was the perfect touch. Naomi Zhao use to be an OBGYN who’s is now a Vampire and she misses her old life and she wont take a life even if she feeds from them and now she is being blackmailed and gets a job as an assistant to the CEO Kyan Monroe that the Vampire Cell want her to spy on but the closer they get the attraction is off the charts. Kyan Monroe is an Alien Dragon shifter and the CEO of a media Company by day and at night he trains a pack of shifters to be cold blooded killers to take out the evil monster on Earth and being an very skilled Assassin from his home planet and now he has found his mate in his new assistant Naomi who has secrets he wants to learn but can he tell her all of his. The lines get blurred and these two get hot and steamy and it was great to see him letting her be the boss. Perfect
Wow! Addictive and exciting!
This book....I just love everything about it! It's the fourth book in a series....but I haven't read the ones before it.....yet. But I definitely will! The characters hook you right from the first page. Naomi is a new vampire who doesn't like what she is, can't force herself to take a life, and is bullied by other vampires. Kyan is a dragon alien with an equally complicated backstory. Quincy is also compelling and I love his vibe. Naomi and Kyan both have missions they are set or forced to accomplish, heck, even Quincy does! All of these "hero journies" converge at some point and it is a complete good vs bad scenario. I couldn't stop reading it, to be honest. I originally was given this book as an ARC, but didn't get the chance to read it before it released, so I borrowed it on Kindle Unlimited.....and currently want to kick myself for not reading it sooner!
This one takes a hard turn from small town alien romance into corporate paranormal romance, but weirdly it's the book that makes the most sense for me? I know the dragon bros are supposed to be laying low on Earth, but I canNOT imagine them fitting in in smallish town New Hampshire and being content to be librarians or unemployed musicians for the rest of their very long lives. Kyan taking a more active role in securing the family's safety and connecting with the supernatural elements already on Earth (which are never even hinted at in previous books so that was a real 180!) makes more sense to me.
There's a lot more action in this book, both in and out of the bedroom, but the whole story feels much more connected to the larger world, with more supporting characters on both the good & bad sides. True, there are a lot of loose plot ends that get tied up in a rush at the end of the book, but overall this might be my favorite in the series.
I already loved this series, and knew that there was something about the mysterious Kyan that would make him my favourite brother. And holy moly was I RIGHT. This one was by a long shot my favourite of the series. The others were cozy, with some intense conflict. This was WOW this was like an action movie. It was a switch up from the other books and I’m here for it. The scheming, the tension, the cuteness, the muffins, the action, THE SPICE. Okay Naomi 🥵🥵🥵 Never did I think a dragon shifter alien mating with a vampire would be a thing but it sure is my thing. YES YES YES. Highly recommend. Normally I would say that these books can be read out of order if you don’t mind spoilers, but I think this one in particular needs to be read after the others to make sense. Thank you Ivy for bringing this family to life. I love the Monroe brothers and am eager to see what’s next!
“Naomi sparkles like the rarest of gems, and I find myself humbled to catch even a flicker of her light.”
This Book feels like the End Game Marvel Movie. From the start to the end, you are on the edge and Naomi and Kyan are the new couple you will ship from now on. With Naomi being a Vampire and Kyan an Alien, it has such an interesting twist to everything and their spice is like 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!! I felt so many emotions reading this book and you will too. With both hiding secrets of their own you will soon find out which secret will be having a deadly turn. And I would love for Kyan’s Special Group to be real. I know I would sleep better at night if they were.
4 out of 5 AB- blood bags ⭐️
🟢 Team Edward
-- woah nelly I didn't expect the vampire plot. I mean maybe the shifters was a bit expected since the brothers themselves were shifters. But the first chapter really threw me off. I definitely didn't read the description lmao, I'm a series reader and I binged the series months ago. After reading the first few pages, I was convinced that I'm reading the wrong book. I checked the cover and confirmed it's the same author then proceeded to go here and read the description and saw "Kyan and Naomi's story". Goddamn that was good. I think this could possibly be my new favorite in the series.
🟢 Mr. Bossypants
-- the big grumpy bossman wants to be dominated in bed? Okay that's kinda hot.
Kyan finds his place
Naomi hates her life as a vampire. She loved being an OBGYN and now she does nothing. The leader of her vampire group decides she needs to spy on Kyan, so now she's working as his executive assistant. Together they discover how to live in this world.
This story is parallel to the last in the series, so in an effort not to repeat what is happening with the Monroe family, parts of the story feel missing or rushed. The writing is good and the story is fun otherwise. There was more drama at the end than I expected and the epilogue wrapped up the series well.
This is the last book in the series, as the last Alien Dragon has found his mate. It’s a standalone, but it’s better to read the previous books to better appreciate the characters. We get to meet the rest of the family with their mates and children.
Mating between a vampire and an alien dragon is new. One is cold, and the other is burning hot. This best describes their relationship and their bond—as the MMC says, it’s more than love. There is a lot of adrenaline pumping in this book. Sometimes, it feels like the MMC is in motion all the time, except when he is with his mate, who is the source of his peace.
I enjoyed this book. I am new to this series and thankfully there’s enough background information to understand what’s going on without feeling overwhelmed by the information. I really fell in love with the brothers and found their relationship reminded me of my friends and their siblings. I really enjoyed the dynamic between Naomi and Kyan. I love how she brought him out of his shell and helped him find his true purpose and I adored the way he helped her find her confidence again and protected her when she couldn’t protect herself. They just are a really cute, unlikely match and I’m here for it. I’ll definitely be reading books 1-3!
Like "Fire and Ice"- that explains Naomi and Kyan. Being a vampire her body is cold and Kyan is a hot dragon from another world. Their lives have been difficult, the rules they set or have set for them allow little deviation until they meet. This is a slow burn suddenly hot romance. The plot twists, danger, steam, family, enemies and more steam takes the reader by surprise and you won't want to put this one down. The words flow revealing richly described characters and locations to get immersed in.
Ivy Knox’s Her Alien Boss is amazing! I don’t like vampires but mix them with dragons and you get one hell of a story! Naomi was a brilliant obstetrician when she was turned into a vampire and sent off to a cell of vampires. She is required to spy on dragon shifter Kyan who is creating a pack of shifters that rid the world of evil humans. She becomes his assistant of a cover company he runs and they become lovers. This reads like a major movie plot with so many twists and turns!
I was waiting for this book! We get to see Kyan so many Times and he is always so missunderstood, body gives him real credit I think and this book shows us what he was thinking on some of these moments and I really liked it. This was a GREAT SERIES!
I loved the diversity of the women. Too often writers have all the women in a series so alike they could be sisters. There are different races, personalities, backgrounds, occupations and even a former human!
This story is about the family glumly Gus and his shy vampire.
Not your typical alien romance but this one packs a punch.
I loved the book. I was drawn to the characters. I do enjoy a book that makes me feel for the characters and experience what they're going through.
Great storyline and enough spice to heat things up.
I loved this from the very first page. I was hooked. If you want an adventure with some unexpected twists and turns, then this is the book for you. It's emotional, and my heart broke at one of the losses 😪. Their memory lives on, though.
This is definitely a must-read!
