I first became interested in astrology thirty years ago and having neglected it for the last several years my interest has revived. I have always admired Liz Greene’s books on the subject, finding them thought provoking and well written. This book is no exception. Linking psychology with the astrological birth chart can result in better understanding for the individual of their own problems in life. It can also help the individual to deal with crises in their lives and help them make better use of their own abilities.
Anyone who thinks of astrology as sun sign columns in newspapers and magazines will be surprised but how complex the influence of the natal sun can be in the individual’s life. We need to live out the qualities of the sun in our birth charts to feel whole and alive but it may be a lifetime quest to fully express these qualities. If you have a basic knowledge of the building blocks of chart analysis – planets, signs, houses, transit and progressions – then you will be able to gain a great deal from this thought provoking study of the astrological sun’s role in our lives. An interest in Jungian psychology would also help.
This book consists of transcripts of two seminars given by the author in connection with the Centre for Psychological Astrology over ten years ago. They are still relevant today and the comments on Tony Blair’s chart make interesting reading looking back on him from today’s perspective. I like the seminar transcript format as it provides interesting comments from the seminar participants which often add further insights.
