A little over halfway through the book, Lilly dropped a twist I never saw coming. I verbally said, "What?!" I fully expected the book to end at about the halfway point because I was so engrossed in the story and didn't know how much was actually left, but the second half really solidified that fifth star. Ben and Amy have such a great story. There are moments when you laugh along with them and other moments that make you want to cry. Amy has amazing growth in the book and is very much a relatable female main character. I can't wait for the next book to come out.

After a couple of rough years, our heroine moves to the east coast from the west coast. She is starting all over, new job, new apartment, and new best friend. Things start to pick-up when a post-it is passed between co-workers asking “would you be so kind as to shut up?” That’s when you know it’s about to get good. This story has the best friend, sexy co-worker and, of course, the smarmy boss. As these co-workers fall quickly for one another they both have baggage they try to keep hidden and we all know that never works. Things really heat-up in the second half of the book where there are twists and turns you won’t see coming. You will NOT be disappointed.
A really good start to a new series and i cant wait to see which characters and what kind of troubles show up in book #2.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! 📖😍 It's a captivating tale brimming with emotion, sprinkled with witty banter, heartwarming friendships, and an adorably sweet couple. Which I 100% loving a book because it’s not all about the smut. Ben is well on his way inside the walls I built.
I love that halfway through the book a plot twist was dropped that I literally wouldn't have seen coming. I went into this book expecting just a regular, sweet romance and it ended up having some pretty good drama added into the mix! To try and avoid spoilers, I won't explain more, but it immediately caught me off guard and I let out an audible "WHAT?!".
I absolutely love how this story was written - no dumping backstories on us at the beginning or all at once (put in little by little throughout the story), dual POV (!!!!!), and just the way Lilly writes in general. This is my first book of hers and I'm confident it will not be the last!
I adore the way Ben and Amy's relationship progresses throughout this story, and how they're able to jump over every obstacle that they're faced with. They're so good together and I love every second that they're on the page with each other - which is almost 100% of the book haha.
With a chuckle, I whisper in her ear, "That, Princess, was number one.".
This book had the absolute right amount of spice in it for the pacing and size of it, I didn't feel like I was being overwhelmed with spice at any point! And all the side characters worked their way into the story so well, I don't think the story could've been told without them - especially Lauren.
If you're looking for a romance novel that will suck you in immediately and keep you hooked until the end, Until We Confess is a must-read. Definitely recommend!

TW: loss of a child, unplanned pregnancy
If you can’t stand the unplanned pregnancy trope this book is not for you. If that’s a trope you’re comfortable with, then this is a well-written and a fun romance with good supporting characters that make you want to read their stories too. The post-it note scene is being added to one of my favorites, right along with the notebook scene in The Hating Game.
As much as I don’t like the use of the unplanned pregnancy trope, I did appreciate that the author had Ben say that the pregnancy wasn’t the reason he wanted to be with Amy. I just would have liked to see a little more growth in his character and some reconciliation prior to him finding out she was pregnant instead of her pregnancy seemingly solving their problems.
I will definitely be reading the next book in this series as soon as it comes out.

I love a steamy office romance and this was done so well! I found Ben and Amy very likeable (although I did want to kick Ben sometimes for being stupid 😂) and their chemistry together was electric. The spicy scenes in this were written so well!
I really enjoyed how this had some darker themes and how this impacted their relationship. I thought these were handled well and built upon the relationship and character development in a good way.
I'm really looking forward to the rest of the series and too see more of the characters that were side characters in this one.

I was so excited when I heard Lilly was finally putting this book out for the world to see! Ben and Amy are a dynamic duo! This strangers to lovers office romance is everything I require in a romance novel.
I mean that closet scene.. 🔥😏 Yes PLEASE!
Ben is the perfect book boyfriend and Amy a strong leading lady even when Lilly throws in those epic twists half way through which left my jaw on the ground and me sitting at the edge of my seat!
Five stars to this debut book! I can’t wait to read more from this series and I highly recommend it!

I really enjoyed this book. It was a spicy work place romance with really good banter that kept me enticed trying to figure out their confessions. It also gave me a little bit of suspense that I didn’t expect but loved. Amy was super cute and vulnerable and Ben just wanted the best for Amy while also being completely obsessed with her.

Finally! A romance novel with a solid plotline, strong heroine, and a decent book boyfriend
Finally! A healthy romance with a solid plotline, strong heroine, and a decent book boyfriend who will sweep you off your feet. I’m proud to give Until We Confess, Lilly Henderson’s debut novel, a solid five stars.
First, I love the author’s style of writing. It’s straight to the point, no heavy back story, and she tells Amy and Ben’s relationship development in a way that the flow is easy to follow – perfect for busy readers. The editing is neat, and the characters’ self-reflections don’t linger (unlike many romance stories I’ve given up reading with reflections that linger – this one doesn’t – a big plus).
Second, I enjoyed reading the dual POV from both the MC and her love interest. I related to the usual frustrations of being in a relationship and the things that go wrong, and the misunderstandings/miscommunications which are all typical, pulling the reader’s heart strings. Reading Ben’s POV was a big plus, and I like the guy.
That leads to my third point. There are a lot of male MC characters from different books who I’ve strongly disliked and stopped reading them. A lot of these male MCs have plain mean attitudes and belittling views about women, and it’s reflected on how they treat their heroine. But not Ben. Ben is that hot office hunk who makes the work day a better one. He’s charming, respectful – and when things get tough, he does have a stubborn streak but don’t we all? The thing is, both he and Amy learn from their challenges, and they are smart people.
Finally, I loved the plot twist – it’s one of my favorite twists which I won’t spoil, and this one was executed well before the end.
Overall, Until We Confess is a terrific spicy romance readers will enjoy, and a book worth investing in. I look forward to more novels from Lilly Henderson in the future.

If you love a steamy and sweet office romance, you won’t want to miss Until We Confess. I devoured this book in one sitting. It is well-crafted, vivid, and realistic, and I felt like I was in the trendy New York City setting as well as in the hearts of the main characters. Amy is hilarious and outgoing and makes friends easily while Ben is more reserved at first, but he opens up beautifully as the insta-love he feels for Amy develops into something stronger. The characters are complex and well-rounded, and I especially enjoyed the depiction of the friendship dynamics in Amy’s new group of friends. Amy and Ben both have secrets from their past that complicate their relationship, and Lilly handles their conflict with skill, giving us the perfect balance of heat, emotion, rawness, and humor. Add some drama, some secrets, and a few surprising twists and turns, and the story keeps you engaged until the happily-ever-after ending.

This was a new author for me and I am so happy I picked up this book! Love finding new authors to read.
This story was such a sweet yet suspenseful workplace romance. You get hit with twists and turns you don’t see coming!! Ben and Amy’s story gives you an insta-love vibe from the moment they lock eyes on one another. I wanna say a little slow burn vibe too. But once these two connect it is special, you can feel it when you are reading.
Then you get hit with the twists and mannnn I did not see that coming and made me feel for Amy a whole lot more. Both of these two have had some not so good past but to see them over come them is wonderful.
I am looking forward to the next in the series!!

This strangers to lovers Story is about Amy and Ben, who by starting to work together begin growing feelings for each other. Ben is grumpy and Amy is sunshine in this book.
We can see character grouth through the book, but withou losing themselfs.
It was the first book were I saw that the nickname she was given has a story. It was good to see that it wasn't a random one.
Also.. I did not see that plot twist. OMG...I speculated a lot of things but THAT has sure as hell not one of them!

Until We Confess is a sweet, emotional romance, with some really great characters.
Amy moves to New York to start over after a tough few years.
She starts a new job, where she meets Ben.
They both feel an instant attraction and connection. However Ben is hesitant to get involved in a relationship because of something from his past.
This was an enjoyable read, and I can't wait for more from Lilly Henderson.

Spice 🌶️ (maybe 🌶️-1/2) - enough for people who like a little sizzle in their books. Amy, Ben, and their friends and family were all likeable. There were villains in the story but the angst felt pretty superficial - as in you’re told the characters went through hard times but don’t expect to feel emotionally invested yourself. This isn’t a book where I laughed and cried, but it was a good read and I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

I really enjoyed this story. Ben & Amy were two relatable characters. The storyline had all the feels & just enough romance. You as the reader, definitely feel like you are in the story. Lilly Henderson is a great storyteller and I cannot wait to see what else she will write. Ben & Amy will definitely stay with me for quite awhile. What a phenomenal debut.

This was a well written, sweet, and surprising romance.
I loved watching Amy and Ben find each other. They both tried hard to deny their chemistry from the beginning. The progression on their relationship and the surprises along the way made this a fantastic read.

I really love how Amy and Ben were with each other. The instant attraction between them was cute. Oh man I absolutely love his nickname for her!! "Princess" so cute!! Oh my gosh poor Amy... that pain of letting all that out the way she did. I love that Ben helped her through that. Oh my gosh!?! How sweet of a ending!!!! Just perfect!!

I saw this book and author on TikTok and downloaded the book on my kindle ( free with KU) I enjoyed the characters Ben and Amy, I loved the flirting between them and keeping it on the hush hush since the are coworkers which is how me and my husband had to do during our relationship so I know all to well how they felt , the heat between them was hot yet tasteful just the kind of spice I like .. especially in the storage room??? I love the way Ben protected Amy and wanted to keep her safe. They each have a past the want to escape and keep secrets hidden though they move past that and It has a happy ending.

Amy’s past comes back to attack her present and they have to learn to deal with it as quickly as possible.

Until We Confess is described as a sweet and spicy romance and this one is! The perfect book “palate cleanser” after my string of mystery/thrillers. There was a lot to enjoy in this sweet and sexy novel, especially the male lead character, Ben, and his instant connection with the female lead character, Amy. I may not personally enjoy a few of the romance tropes in this novel, but overall this is an enjoyable read and I’m looking forward to the next book in this series about Amy’s best friend, Lauren.

Lilly Henderson’s Until We Confess is an office romance with a few twists and turns even I wasn’t expecting. This is the first book of a series yet it is designed to be read as a standalone for those uninterested in multi-book series. This book is best for readers who enjoy being swept away to a happy place leaving their worries at the door. One word of warning in each book Henderson tackles difficult topics which are skillfully interwoven into her romance stories. Therefore it is essential that readers take the time to read the trigger warning.
Ben and Amy are the stars of this office romance and have an amazing story. Chemistry is apparent from the offset, the navigation of a workplace relationship, and lots of secrets. Secrets I did not see coming until they showed up left me stuttering. This duo come to the relationship with seemingly nothing standing in their way, the perfect recipe for true love. At least until the secrets start popping off. There is tension, fun, spice and even a bit of banter. Closets become much more interesting in this workplace…

Until We Confess starts off as a typical love at first sight book, turning into the should I or shouldn't I troupe with the leading male being the one who is unsure about the relationship as he is trying to protect the leading female from previous bad choices his brother has made, and is still making he assumes. It's not until he is faced with the very real possibility of losing her to a misunderstanding on his own part that he realizes that he has to either loosen up and give the relationship a real chance or let the main female character go, but he can't keep doing what he's been doing or he's, because either way he's lost her, but this way he hurt both of them - especially her.
Ms. Henderson writes using an easy to read, writing style, grabbing the readers attention right from the beginning. I loved this book!
It’s a sexy story full of emotion, and packed with banter, great friendships, and an amazingly cute couple.
There was a great balance between flirtatious build up, romance, sex scenes and character development. The sex scenes are steamy while being beautifully written. I have to say: Damn! Ben knows what he's doing.
I loved the main characters, Amy and Ben, as well as the side characters; I'm hoping to read a book all about Lauren soon!
Lilly Henderson created a book I was unable to put down. ❤️ I'm already desperate for the next book. Please, don't keep me waiting to long.

Until We Confess is the debut book by Ms. Henderson and what a fantastic job in the writing, plot and character development. This book is an office romance that will have you enjoying Ben and Amy's journey to their HEA. However, the road to their happiness is full of bumps and a little suspense. They both have pasts that haunt them, Ben's more than Amy's. Secrets are kept that cause heartache and danger but will the love that they have for one another be strong enough to overcome what has been thrown a them? The relationship that develops is sweet and one that sees a lot of understanding and forgiveness. There were times when I wanted to give Jake a shake and tell him to get his head out of his a$$ but then Amy seemed to do it for me.
I recommend you add this book to your TBr list. I look forward to Henry and Lauren's story next.

Another great read! Until we confess is about Amy and Ben. Amy moves to NY to escape her past and meets Ben at her new job. They both are attracted to each other, but because of the workplace setting they both don't act on it from the start.
Obviously their instant attraction can only be ignored for so long so they start dating. However they both have a troublesome past. Will they be able to trust each other enough to share their stories? Will they be able to confess? Is their bond strong enough to survive?
I finished this book in less than 24 hours. I loved how the characters had intricate pasts that kept haunting them, but until they confess their pasts to each other a piece was missing. I can't wait to read the rest of the series!

This was a great debut by Lilly and it was written very well.
This book certainly had it's drama and the intrigue to want to know what both of their secret past was about.
Definitely wasn't anything I cou6have guessed. They both shock us with the revelations.
Both Amy and Ben don't want a serious relationship because of their past traumas. But their chemistry was hard to fight.
Read how they fall for each other and then how their past threatens to destroy it all.
Drama, humour, banter, found friends, love, emotional and lots of spice.
Please read triggers as their is a difficult subject that is discussed.
I loved Lauren and can't wait for her story.

Oh, I loved this so much!! Until We Confess by Lilly Henderson was the fun read that I really needed right now. With all of the Holiday stress going on now it was so nice to lose myself in such an excellent read.
I really enjoyed that although there is "heat" it doesn't overwhelm the story. The characters interactions with each other ranges in so many emotions that you not only read this story, but you "feel" it as well.
Well done Author Lilly Henderson, I look forward to reading much more from you!

I really enjoyed this book. It started off with the boy meets girl in the office and sparks fly between them.
Half way through we get twists to the book I don't think anyone really expected but this kept us on our toes wondering what was going to happen next!
Near the end it looks like there is going to be No HEA for Ben and Amy but it's only Ben's way of making sure she is okay as he really does want to look after her.
I won't say anymore as I don't want to give away anything else but this book is definitely worth a read, you will enjoy it!
