A cute and sweet short Christmas story. From reading the blurb I thought there would be way more angst than there actually was. Not an awesome read but was a easy filler.

I absolutely adored this story with Quinn and Vaughn. It just hit the right places for me with many favorable tropes. I was immediately drawn it due to the story, the characters, and the writing. I was immediately attached and was ready to go onto this ride with Quinn and Vaughn to their HEA.
What was amazing about this story was definitely the chemistry between Quinn and Vaughn. It was immediate. It was intense. It was so utterly satisfying to see them flirt and banter during their first meeting. All the cute innuendos that bounced between them were just so fun and entertaining that it had me snorting with laughter. It was basically verbal foreplay. It was amazing. It showed off their connection as well as the chemistry between them that was beyond perfection.
The thing it made it extra entertaining as they were bouncing back and forth off of one another was the fact that neither of them wanted to get involved with anyone period. So, they tried to convince themselves that this was just business and nothing more could happen between them due to the fact that they both sworn off romance due to the fact that they had been hurt in the past. That denial factor just added a little something extra to their encounters that added to the intensity between them. It just strengthened their connection and chemistry even more while enjoying being in each other’s company while trying to denying what was between them.
What I really, really adored that even though they were trying to pretend they weren’t going to get involved, they used business as a reason for wanting to spend time with each other. They kept making that excuse over and over again. It was clear that they just wanted to spend time together and be in each other’s company. In reality these business meetings were really them going on dates with one another. The great thing was because they were planning a Christmas party together all of their “dates” had a Christmas theme to them, which was perfect. This was a perfect example of how Christmas can play a role in a romance and enhance it with all those Christmassy feels, instead of a romance that just took place at Christmas. There’s a difference. What I want from Christmas romance is what this story exactly did. I loved that so much.
Another thing I really loved about these “dates” was the fact that aside from doing those Christmas activities, they actually took the time to get to know each other and learn about each other’s quirks and personalities. The more they got to know about one another. The more fell for each other. They understood each other. They learned that they were opposites yet the complimented each other so well. For example, Quinn was a planner and didn’t like surprises while Vaughn was more the live by the seat of your pants and go with the flow with things. He loved surprises. They both showed why each of these traits were valuable in different situation. They each appreciated that about the other and even adopted at one point the other’s point of view. They didn’t try to change each other. They embraced it and loved it.
This book truly showed two people falling in love with one another. Yes, they had some intense sexual chemistry going on, but it was more than that. It was a connection. Even though they tried to avoid it, they couldn’t because of that strong connection they had. The more they leaned about one another. The more loved each other. I saw them fall deeper and deeper with each other as the story progressed. It was very obvious that they were the one for each other. Even during their first time together, they both acknowledged that this was more than just physical between them. It was about the closeness that they wanted to share with one another. The connection and just being with each other in most intimate way. I loved so much that was in there.
Speaking of the love scene, it was amazing. It was sexy. It was sensual. It was intimate. It was passionate. It was about their connection beyond their bodies. It was everything that I could have wanted in a love scene. It helped though that I totally bought that they were in love with each other already so this scene just enhanced their love to astronomical levels. It just put their connection over the top for me. It really about intimacy more than just a physical response. It was beautiful. It adorable. It satisfied me so much especially with all that built up anticipation from all their dates as well as the simmering chemistry that was surrounding them from the word go. I loved it so much.
There was just one thing that prevented me from giving this a five stars. It had a trope that I’m not a super fan of and even rolled my eyes when it happened. I should have been clued in from the tittle as well as something that happened the first time scene, but I didn’t have a clue that this was the direction it was going to take. What trope am I talking about? It was the surprise/unexpected pregnancy trope. I just don’t care for this trope in general so I was little disappointed that it was in this story. A lot of times that when they use this trope it usually happens in the beginning of a story after a night of passion or whatever it is, but why bothers me so much in romance is that I don’t know if the characters are together because they want to be or because of the baby. Sometimes it just feels very forced in stories, and I just feel like a lot times that they wouldn’t be together or even fall in love if there wasn’t a baby. I get that is the point of and gets them thrown together, but I don’t like that’s how they are forced into contact with each other. Even though they supposedly fall in love with each other, I don’t always buy that. I want something else aside from the baby being the driving force of them being together. It just not my favorite trope, however in the case of this book it was done in a more well done way. It was done where the connection and their feelings were already established before the pregnancy reveal came to light. Vaughn and Quinn clearly wanted to be together and enjoyed being with each other so the baby wasn’t really a factor of why they got together. It was just a bonus. But as I said before, it did make me roll my eyes a bit, and I do wish it wasn’t in this story because it was going so well then to throw that trope in there just threw me off a bit. That’s just based on my personal taste though.

I loved how they made these work excuses just so they could see each other when in reality they were going on Christmassy dates. I loved how they got know each other and understand each other. I loved how they appreciated each other’s quirks. There was just much emotional intimacy between them even before they engaged in physical intimacy. I absolutely loved that so much because even though they had this insane sexual chemistry from the beginning, they didn’t just jump into it. They took their time and established a relationship before anything physical happened between them. Because they had that base line of that relationship just made it all the more intense and satisfying when they finally made love for the first time. Plus it just created some great anticipation between them throughout the story before they finally gave into their passions. I adored that so much. It just made for a really fun ride for me while reading it. It was so good. The only thing I didn’t care for was the accidental/surprise pregnancy trope, but aside from that pretty much spot on. And the fact that it was truly a Christmassy read and not just a romance that took place over the holidays just really put it over the top for me. I just loved and adored this so much. I could see myself rereading this again, and it also makes me want to pick up more books by this author in the future.

I haven't read a book from this author in awhile and when I came across this, I couldn't resist. Special Delivery was the perfect length. I read it in one sitting and couldn't turn the pages fast enough. Low angst, loaded with steamy chemistry and likable characters added to my reading enjoyment. Ok, I admit a huge part of my enjoyment was Vaughn. Not only was I addicted to his charm, personality and vulnerability, Vaughn was a gentlemen. Quinn was a great match for him. I felt their immediate attraction to each other just from their banter and the easy way they got along. Both Vaughn and Quinn were determined to keep away from relationships but because they were a perfect match, they were destined.
This was a perfect feel-good story with a sweet ending and I definitely recommend it.

Vaughn & Quinn and Reid & Marley
Vaughn is one of Josh's business partners after he ditches his agency. Quinn is Josh & Amy & Tabitha's sister. They meet when Josh & Vaughn's new business needs to plan a holiday party and they call upon Quinn for her party planning skills. Vaughn & Quinn both love Christmas and they spend several evenings checking out venues, planning the menu and they immediately tumble into love. Which is all well & good, but Vaughn is moving to Florida after Christmas to expand the business and be closer to his family. They went in knowing their relationship had an expiration date, but neither figured they'd fall head over heels. By the time the party rolls around, Vaughn has sold his apartment and has decided he'll ask Quinn to go with him to Florida. But Quinn has a major surprise of her own. Oh baby!
Reid is a British graphic designer who's working his way up the corporate ladder with a goal of going out on his own someday. He's just finished up a bike race with some buddies in Paris and is enjoying an afternoon by the Seine until it's time to head to his flight home. Marley just graduated college and is on her last day of a trip with her two besties. They're up on top of the eiffel tower while Marley stays solidly on the ground since she's terrified of heights. She, too, is enjoying a quiet afternoon by the Seine. They happen to land on the same bench and each has a bag of chocolates. They end up sharing and then going in search of more. Their connection is immediate and they have a magical afternoon wandering the streets, popping into shops and getting to know one another. Both are tempted to try to keep in touch, but Reid knows he needs to focus 100% on his career right now and Marley is about to start a tough degree at business school. Then there's also the small matter of him living in London to her NYC. A few hours is all they have until his flight that evening.
They both spend the next three years focused on their goals, missing one another, and never finding another partner who lives up to the magic they found that day.
Reid eventually meets Lucas, another designer, and they launch their own company. Reid moves to NYC as that's where most of their business is. Marley graduates business school and ends up working at Peyton's You Look Pretty Today shop.
When Lucas, who has fallen in love with Lola, who is Peyton's bestie, and Reid meet up with Peyton & Tristan one evening, Peyton has an odd feeling about Reid and insists he go with her right that minute to meet her lovely shop assistant Marley. They immediately pick up right where they left off, but have completely fallen for each other in the three years of missing one another. Ta da!
These are two short stories, each about an hour, and have a average 2.5/5 spicy.

Did I miss the memo?
There is only so much you can fit into 100 pages and it seems Lauren Blakely decided that she wanted this 100 pages to be as low drama and conflict as possible. It's fine, the relationship is quite sweet but the main issues are she always wants to know what's going to happen and he sees romance as a distraction.
I personally think they could've pined longer and I think the surprise at the end was recieved in a way I don't quite believe given the context.
It is short and sweet with a bit of spice in there. I do reccomend it as a short holiday themed romance.

It's an insta-attraction. While Josh is out of town, Vaughn and Quinn decide to "date" until he has to leave to move to Florida (after the holidays). Surprises ensue, followed by a HEA.

Two sugary sweet short stories with the backdrop of Christmas. No tension, no angst, the girl is Mary Poppins-perfect in every way - and the boy has no moments of concern, anger, confusion - his is all agreeable, all the time. * I skimmed the hell out of the second one, so I might be incorrect *
There's sex, but very PG- I've read books in the YA category that are far more graphic in the penis-goes-here bits.
So, to recap: Good not great, sweet not too terribly sexy, both parties are unicorns.

This had so much promise. The flirting was next level and I was here for it! I would have really liked to see these two figure out their relationship without a surprise baby being involved. Unexpected pregnancy trope is my least favorite. You could really feel the connection these two had. So having a pregnancy pop up really cheapened their HEA. That leaves me with the “What if they never got pregnant? Would they have broke it off eventually?” questions and I hate that. This would have been 4 stars if there was a different ending.

Audiobook Review:
What a fun, short, holiday story. It had a little bit of a lot of tropes I like, but I don't want to give away any spoilers. I really liked both main characters and the overall flow of the story. It was short but fulfilling and I didn't feel like I was missing anything.
The narrators were awesome. Andi Arndt is already a favorite but Dan Bittner was new to me. I really really liked his performance though. I wouldn't hesitate to listen to more in future. The other two special guest narrators were fantastic as well and this was an overall enjoyable experience.

Loved it
This book was one of those little novella nuggets, like a perfect appetizer, that just gives a warm, fuzzy vibe from beginning to end. The characters, the story line, the writing, the feels are on point. Vaughn is amazing, amusing and romantic. Quinn is so together. That being said, the couple in this story make no excuses for their feelings. They end up with a wonderful HEA.

I totally loved the Christmas theme throughout this story. I really want a man who loves Christmas like Vaughn. Hot sensual tension that comes through the hot sex with Quinn and Vaughn. Great compromise and family support. Highly recommended for the more mature readers

A quick, flirty read.
The main characters are both gregarious and flirty from the get-go, though we don’t actually get to see them interact with many people besides each other. The romance is very fast, but because the attraction is immediate on both sides and it’s not only physical, it’s believable. I wish the “snowed in” portion were longer. Otherwise, no complaints!

Holiday love
The first story was a little slow for me, it took me a bit into it. Shaw and Vanessa and crew were definitely memorable. The back story was one we've heard...big brother falls for his sister's best friend, but the story was uniquely theirs. I enjoyed their fun yet caring dynamic. A good short read.

This was a cute, low-angst Christmas-themed romance. This story features Quinn, one of the sisters of sports agent Josh from prior book in the series, and Vaughn, a fellow agent. Quinn is a party planner, & Vaughn is asked to work with her to plan the agency's holiday party. Both were on "dating fasts", but can't resist the chemistry. Some hot scenes, and sweet banter.

4.5 stars - the Special Delivery story was so sweet and so uncomplicated, just what I needed for my lousy mood. I even didn't mind one of the few troupes I don't like, but it was done well here so bravo!

Great twosome
Loved these two books. Great stories of two couples getting together. Both couples think they may have issues if them getting together due to siblings but things all work out with their happily ever after with all family members happy.

Vanessa and Shaw have been in love w each other since high school but have not connected as lovers for over 10 years. I liked Vanessa’s self assurance and Shaw’s humor made this book fun.

Oh my goodness I absolutely adored this story. I was smiling the entire way through it. It’s a beautiful little holiday fairytale and has the sweetest happily ever after. Absolutely no sad bits. Just all the good stuff that makes Lauren Blakely the bomb digity of romance.
