With the capture of a Vampire legend, Arthur Thorn now walks among his fellow Werewolves with the prominent title of Beta Werewolf. Unfortunately, with such renown also comes great expectation. Arthur must now survive the continuation of his training as a Werewolf in the wolf kingdom as both a cub and a beta, forcing him to undertake tests and challenges that would destroy even the greatest warriors. With his closest friends by his aside, as well as his mentor, Cratos Mane, Arthur will go through suicidal training sessions, crippling tests, death tournaments, and his first real mission as a Werewolf. The only way Arthur Thorn will survive, is if he can harness his potential as a Werewolf, all without losing his humanity to his bestial desires of the night.
War Wolf, book 3 of The Werewolf Saga did not disappoint!
Arthur Thorn is continuing his training as a Crimson cub, now also as a Beta werewolf. Navigating the trials of his training with his best friends, Drake and Gwence. There is a major amount of character development that really helps you to appreciate Gwence and Drake, and their relationship with Arthur. The bond between these 3 is evident. They must be kept safe at all costs!
Arthur yet again finds himself in deathly situations, most thrust upon him but some of his own doing. I always have to remind myself that he is still just a cub and to give him some grace. Luckily for Arthur he has the support of his mentor, friends and even the Beast to help him through.
Battles will be fought, relationships will be tested and losses will be felt but War Wolf is worth the ride. The author did a great job with the books namesake and the bread crumb left at the end leaves me hungry for book 4!
This book continues the adventures of Arthur Thorn and his training as a crimson cub alongside his mentor Cratos and many other memorable characters.
This book contains everything that I enjoyed in the previous books and ups the stakes as the war with the vampires intensifies. You sympathize greatly with Arthur as he struggles against the challenges that have now arisen against him as a beta werewolf and once again I am delighted by the grittiness, the gore and the delicious prose.
Another great book from Dylan and I eagerly look forward to devouring the next one.
I love the character development in this book. Arthur, Gwence and Drake have become a seriously formidable unit and I love the whole dynamic between them. There is so much change from Arthur in book 1 to Arthur now and he’s seriously come such a long way. Siren has always been my favorite character but after this book, I think Drake is my new favorite. It’s a massive book but seriously worth the read.
This Series was AMAZING. From the beginning page of book one, I was ALL in. Arthur and his mentor Cranos together, and you will see the growth of this teenager. Pacing and characters are great. Never a dull moment. Can't wait till book hits. Great writing by the author. EXCELLENT SERIES
