Unfinished Book. Again!

No amount of updating or downloading again will fix an unfinished book. I tried both and still have only 11 chapters. Not to mention it looked like it was ended 1 or 2 chapters before it ended because it started listing family names like books normally do in the beginning. I’ve really lost any confidence in this author and that makes me sad as she has always been one of my top two authors.

Now that I have received all 22 chapters, the book was good, however I still feel that it had a blunt ending. Not unfinished, I just felt like the author rushed the ending and went straight into the epilogue which didn’t really fit.

This Book Has It All

Magnus and Rayna’s story was packed full of action, suspense and steam which made it a one sit read for me because I couldn’t put it down. Rayna and her mother show up at the Raiders of Valhalla MC where her brother, son, is a member hoping for protection against Rayna’s step-father.

Magnus steps up as the man who wants nothing more than protect Rayna. The storyline with the step-father is beyond heartbreaking. During all of this Magnus and Rayna develop such a deep connection that melts your heart.

I highly recommend this book as well as the rest of the books in the Raiders of Valhalla MC series.

I sometimes struggle with a title for my reviews but this one was easy Ms Knox named the book perfectly. Magnus and Rayna started as a slow boil but when they made the jump to couple the madness starts. This book has a lot of hold your breath moments and just plain sad but Ms Knox does a great job of drawing a picture of falling in Love amidst tragedy. The secondary characters play a roll in this book that shows Magnus and Rayna story is true.

MAYHEM is the ninth instalment in Elizabeth Knox’s contemporary, adult RAIDERS OF VALHALLA MC erotic, MC romance series. This is Magnus and Rayna’s story line. MAYHEM can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and history. Rayna is Dag’s sister (Murderous #7)

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Magnus and Rayna) MAYHEM follows the building relationship between our story line couple. Years earlier Rayna’s step-father was imprisoned for attempted murder but upon his release took aim at Rayna and her mother. Fearing for their lives, Rayna and her mother seek refuge with the Raiders of Valhalla MC where Rayna will meet her future in the guise of MC member Magnus. Dancing around their attraction to one another, Magnus will finally admit he wants our story line heroine but will quickly discover that someone else is targeting our story line heroine. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Magnus and Rayna, and the potential fall-out as the past refuses to let for Rayna, her mother, and several members of the Raiders of Valhalla MC.

The world building follows several paths including betrayal by one of their own; vengeance, murder and obsession. As the MC gathers together to protect the people they love, not everyone will survive, and heart break will follow.

The relationship between Rayna and Magnus is one of immediate attraction but Magnus is taking his time in the wake of the original attack against the woman with whom he will fall in love. Rayna is a website designer, and working for the MC, Rayna will find herself a home, a family and a man to love. The $ex scenes are passionate and intense.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and determined secondary and supporting characters including most of the previous story line couples. We are introduced to Rayna and Dag’s mother, as well as the return of a former club girl who isn’t quite done destroying them all.

MAYHEM is a story of power and control, betrayal and revenge, murder and ‘mayhem’, family , friendships, relationships, love and loss. The character driven premise is heart breaking and emotional; the romance is seductive and provocative; the characters are dynamic and charismatic.

Arc Review for early read

If you have read any of Elizabeth’s books, you will find a note regarding Trigger Warning. It is always present in the beginning.

I don’t know whether there was a misprint but 1/2 way into read, a presentation of The Valhalla MC Members is listed including spoiler alert. Editing or intentional, uncertain, but it also doesn’t hinder the storyline.

An emotional read. The loses here are touching. To save themselves, Rayna and her mother escaped an abusive step husband/stepfather to the safety of the Valhalla MC where here brother Dag is patched. Dag, and the club will always protect them but tragedy has a way of entering their safety circle.

Magnus a Valhalla MC member has fallen for Rayna, this was mentioned within the last read as an insight. What he wants he also gets and his aim is Rayna, even if she is Dag’s sibling.

Life as an MC member has its fair share of drama. New prospects, vengeful Horas, Death - expected within the club and surprisingly legitimate transactions.
Mayhem - per title was fitting here because there was a lot happening.
We didn’t only concentrate on Magnus and Rayna, but 90% of the other members too. The Valhalla MC is a tight knit club that aides each other. You do need to read each book in order to understand the storyline and characters.

Were we left on a cliffhanger - Yes. A turn for the worst is coming their way.

As per usual, I don’t like spoiling contents as each reader has their own POV.

Mayhem is the 9th book in the Raiders Of Valhalla MC series by Elizabeth Knox. It's a best friend's sister romance between Magnus and Dag's sister Rayna. The way this book flows shows that Elizabeth is getting her writing groove back better than ever. The characters are really personable in this story making them easy to connect with.
Rayna and her mom are still living at the clubhouse because her stepdad hasn't been found yet. Since being there she's gotten close to some of the girls and guys, especially Magnus. He has been attracted to Rayna since she showed up and decided to take his chance on New Year's Eve with a kiss at midnight. Their romance is a slow burn since Rayna has trust issues thanks to losers in her past. Magnus and the club are also trying to deal with a cartel enemy once and for all, and find Dag's stepdad to make sure he can't hurt Rayna and her mom anymore.
I gave this a 4-star rating and a 4-spicy rating. The chemistry between Rayna and Magnus was strong and watching their love bloom was beautiful. This book wasn't on the dark romance side per se but it did have its moments as well as making me cry. That is what equals a good book for me. Next up is Savage the last book in this series…. for now.

This is the 9th book in the “Raiders Of Valhalla MC Series.” If you like MC bikers then this is a great series to add to your collection. There is drama, action packed, page turner, suspenseful, twists, turns, danger, secrets, betrayal, murder, romance, great characters and a plot that is most definitely a page turner. Magnus is a sexy MC biker and a member of the Raiders Of Valhalla. Rayna is the sister of Dag who is Raiders member. When Loren who is Rayna’s step-father is released from prison he comes after Rayna’s mother for revenge. Rayna and her mom make their escape and end up at the Raiders of Valhalla’s MC grounds. Magnus is there to rescue Rayna and her mother from the clutches of her step-father. Magnus is instantly attracted to Rayna but knows he has to keep his distance from her while keeping on an eye on her and her mother. Magnus lets Rayna know that she is the one for him and Rayna realizes that Magnus is someone that she can trust.

Will Magnus and the other MCs be able to Loren’s stepfather at bay, how will Dag feel when learns that Magnus is involved with his younger sister Rayna and is there an HEA in store for the couple?

Ms. Elizabeth Knox has created pure magic in the creation/release of Mayhem.

Between one of the original founders and Rayna, there are so many sparks, you have to be careful not to say your Kindle on fire. There is everything to Love in this MC romance / brotherhood. I am not the type of reader who gives away the plot or ruins it for others. All I can say is if you are looking for a top-notch MC romance that will keep you on the edge of your seat you have found it through Miss Knox and it is a must read book. While this release is part of a series, I think it can be read as a standalone MCromance, however, reading the entire series would benefit you as a reader.

I am impatiently awaiting the next book in the series, Ivar and starla story.

Mayhem - Raiders of Valhalla MC #9 is another fast paced installment in this series by Elizabeth Knox about these band of brothers who may not be related by blood but are a true family. The characters are intense larger then life Viking inspired bikers and the storyline is dynamic, raw and intense as these men play hard and love hard. The story revolves around Dag's sister Rayna and Magnus's emotional journey full of twists and obstacles they will soon have to endure. So much drama and mayhem surrounds the club as they have another snake to take down as someone returns from the ashes and now Rayna's step-father has been released from prison and has targeted her and her mother to seek his revenge. Will these bad$ss men of the Raiders of Valhalla MC take a stand to protect their own and end the threat that is headed toward them?

Magnus has been drawn to Rayna from the moment she entered the clubhouse, can he cross the line as she is Dag's sister? Soon the playful flirtation between them will blossom into an intense, fast, steamy relationship full of chaos, danger, drama and tragedy. Magus will do all he can to protect the woman he loves when blood is spilled, you will be on the edge of your seat when things soon come to ahead. Will Magnus and Rayna get a chance to be together? Love how the other characters in this story come together and play a role in Magnus and Rayna's storyline. Mayhem is the ninth book in the Raiders of Valhalla MC series. The books in this series must be read in order as the plots are intertwined. The Raiders of Valhalla is one of my favorite MC series. They are an MC that protects its members and family at all costs and does not hesitate to take out a threat.

In Mayhem, Rayna and Magnus finally come together. They do so under troubling and dangerous circumstances. Loren remains the blight on Rayna, Dag, and their mother Mary's lives and remains elusive. However, other troubles are brewing, and the Raiders of Valhalla and those loyal to them will risk and sacrifice much to protect their loved ones.

With an engaging storyline that includes lovable, relatable, believable characters, suspense, action, surprising twists, betrayal, drama, steamy romance, and another cliffhanger-type ending, Mayhem is a very entertaining page-turner. Ivar and Starla's story is next, and I can hardly wait!.

This is the 9th book in this series and while it has a different couple, you should read them from the beginning. They are a bit interconnected. This is Magnus and Rayna’s story. Rayna is Dag’s little sister and she and their mom have been living at the clubhouse since their psycho of a stepfather came after their mom and Dayna showed up and they were both able to get away. Magnus has been attracted to Rayna since he met her, but since she is a brother’s sister, he has kept his distance. Rayna has liked Magnus and once all the barriers come down, it’s on. These two are great. He is very protective of his woman and will do whatever it takes to keep her safe and protected. With her and Dag’s stepfather on the loose, they need to stay vigilant. This has action, suspense, drama, secrets, brother’s friend, and some twists that made my jaw drop. This took me on an emotional ride. Will they find their stepfather before anything else happens? I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book.

Rayna and her mother were doing give until her step father showed up after getting out of prison. When he tries to kill them they manage to get away and head to her brothers Raiders of Valhalla MC . They've been there a while and Magnus has taken a shine to Rayna. She's lucky that she can take her online website building business anywhere. Things between the two are tricky because she is afraid to get hurt. But her mother talks to her and makes her see sense. Nite she and Magnus are trying to see where this between them is going. Then her step father starts his intimidation again. But this time the club has their back. This is just the starting point as several issues arise that pulls the club into danger. Will everyone be fine?
A fast paced story that deals with a few social issues. But the story is fantastic!!.

Mayhem is book 9 of Raiders of Valhalla MC series by Elizabeth Knox. This story continues the story of Rayna, Dag's younger sister. She came to live at the MC. Maybe rather fled to the MC after her stepfather, Loren, was released from prison and sought revenge on Rayna and her Mom.

Magnus decides Rayna is who he wants as his old lady. He tells her he will prove himself to her and wait as long as it takes. I love watching their relationship unfold. Of course Loren is around making threats to fulfill his revenge. There is action, suspense and twists that are always present in this series. There are some ongoing story lines so I recommend reading the series in order. As always beware, the story is ripe with possible triggers. Overall I enjoy the world and characters created in this series.

Magnus is a member of the Raiders of Valhalla MC. Rayna and her mother end up escaping her stepfather after he was released from prison. Rayna ends up running to the store to get milk and leaves her mother at home. She's had a bad feeling all day and when she tries to call her mother it goes to voicemail. She gets home and finds her stepfather trying to kill her mother. The stepfather ends up going after Rayna and after getting punched she and her mother escape Loren who's wasting no time to hurt the women. They take off to get help from the Raiders of Valhalla's protection. Magnus and Rayna finally get together. There are lots of twists and turns, suspense, danger, violence, drama, secrets, grief, betrayal, and finally the steam between Rayna and Magnus. This was another great storyline and great characters. I'm looking forward to the next book about Ivar and Starla.

Mayhem has liked Rayna since he first laid eyes on her and chose to better himself before shooting his shot cos no woman wants to know the man they end up with has been with the horas.
Rayna having her own website design business has the perfect job to allow her to hide away from her crazy stepdad with her brother and his club the Raiders of Valhalla.
It seems this club's Horas when kicked to the curb don't like to keep any loyalty and are a major threat to all members and partners as shown in this book, alittle brutal but glad to see one of the ladies not taking any crap.
Glad you see Rayna's situation with her stepdad gets sorted just a shame so many other's suffer in the process.
Can't wait to see what happens in the next book aswell as the next generation as I think Tor has alot of growing up to do if he wishes to step into his dad's shoe's.

After the man who tried to kill his mother and sister got out of prison, Dag has his Mom and sister living at the Raiders of Valhalla MC's clubhouse until Loren could be tracked down and dealt with...Magnus has been attracted to Rayna since she came to clubhouse a few months ago but waited until New Year's Eve before making a move to make her his own...they talked, got to know each other and finally started going out together...but Loren has been tracking her, sending her texts, leaving notes on windshields, and even a set-up sex tape with former inmate friend of Loren's. Got pornographic tape removed from internet...but how is he tracking her movements?? You will need to read the story to see what happens. We waited to see what chaos Rayna's ex-stepfather was going to continue wreaking on everyone especially Dag and Rayna's mother. Rayna was worried about getting into a relationship with Magnus especially with her history but they try and Magnus shows her that he's an original unlike anyone she's ever known. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this exciting, suspenseful MC story to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book.

Rayna, Dag's sister, and her mother came to live at the clubhouse (see Murderous, book 7) after her stepfather is released from prison and he blames them for his incarceration. Magnus is a member of the MC and has been eyeing Rayna since she arrived but out of respect for his brother. They both finally give into their feelings and things get steamy. As expected, Magnus gets protective when Rayna is threatened and turns on the alpha male. The book stalled a little in the beginning while the characters tried to figure things out and then the end was action packed and things happened very quickly. Good addition to the series.

Mayhem is another fast-paced, quick read in the Valhalla Raiders series is Dag's sister Rayna and Magnus's story. It's a great, insta like story that keeps you turning those pages for more. Their journey has lots of action, drama, chaos and of course steam. These guys all do whatever is necessary to protect their own so it's no surprise when trouble comes for Rayna and her mother that they all band together to take care of the problem.

"We all might not have the same blood flowing through our veins, but it doesn't mean we're not family."

It's certainly not without It's share of sadness and grief but when families unite no stone is left unturned.

Magnus and Rayna’s story was emotional, intense and twisty. Magnus has wanted Rayna the moment she stepped into the clubhouse that night with her mother. Fleeing her step-father and coming to the club was the best thing or so they thought. The attraction between them is electric but Rayna is afraid to put herself out there. Will she take the leap with Magnus? Just when Rayna and her mom start to feel comfortable the threats begin, the promises of revenge for what Rayna and her family did to her step-father. Will they be able to move forward or will their past keep coming back to haunt them? This isn’t the only threat that looms is the Cartel who are on their heels and coming fast.

I LOVE this series! This is Mayhem and Rayna's story. There has been chemistry since they met. Mayhem is determined to protect her and do what needs to be done to make her his. This story is full of surprises, twists and turns. I had a hard time putting it down! I love that it is also a continuation of the Raiders of Valhalla's story as a group. It can be read as a stand alone book but when read together you get the full story of this motley crew and the strong women they fall for. This story has so many twists and turns it will keep you on the edge of your seat.

After Rayna and her mother were terrorized they left their home and moved in with the Raiders of Valhalla MC that her brother Dag is part of when she meets Magnus. He is big and burley and he wants Rayna but she is not sure if she wants to get involved with another man after the way her others have gone but he doesn’t give up. As they work on a relationship her mothers ex gets out of prison and comes looking for trouble but they did not know how much trouble he would bring. This is full of suspense and danger all the while the hot romance is growing.

Mayhem & Rayna spent a lot of time circling each other but finally got on the same page. This book was suspenseful with a lot of mayhem from Rayna's father but also a little tragic with respect to Dag & Rayna's mom. As this series comes to a close, one more book to come, all the characters are getting their HEA but each book seems a little shorter than the last. That being said, they all hold a story that needs to be told to finish out the series, but I sure hate to see them rushed just to get them done and that is what these last books feel like to me, rushed and not completely done.

The ninth book in the Raiders Of Valhalla MC series gives its readers a best friends sister romance that did not disappoint. Rayna is Dag’s sister and Magnus is attracted to her, but doesn’t act on his feelings. But when Rayna and her mom finds themselves in danger from the past they run to the MC for protection. When their attraction cannot be denied they take the next step but will her brother approve of it? One click to find out in this action packed, suspense filled new addition to the series that’s a definite must read. I enjoyed how the storyline came alive as the characters fight for their forever.

Rayna and her mother move to be be with her brother Dag and under club's protection, after her father is released from prison. Loren is back with vengeance and her mother has realised her prayers are not effective. Mayhem has his eye firmly set on Rayna, but before she trusts him, he needs to tread carefully and slowly to show it is worth it. The mayhem continues to grow as betrayal, murder, chaos follows in their shadows. Just as things seem to be settling, the club receives a major threat from the cartel.

What I liked- I liked the characters and their depth. I also thought the new mixed drinks sounded delicious and I don’t even drink.
What I didn’t- there’s a danger here that a Nordic-based MC could develop into racist or aryan nonsense. I hope the author keeps this in mind.

The ninth book of the series is Magnus and Rayna's story.

Rayna and her mother had left town when threaten by her mother's ex-husband. Enraged that he was put in jail, he vowed to hurt them. The only place to go was to Rayna's brother's MC.

Magnus has been drawn to Rayna since the day she walked into the club house, time went by and the desire to protect her and make her his is still strong.

Magnus and Rayna's story heats up the page and has you melting. The danger and suspense as Magnus keep Rayna safe will have you on the edge.

Rayna and Magnus's journey of love is an action packed one filled with MC drama, danger, intrigue, suspense, and mayhem. Their story starts in book seven of the series and then takes the reader on quite a roller coaster ride in this book. Magnus is a member of the Raiders of Valhalla MC and Rayna is the sister of Dag an MC member. This is a captivating read with believable characters that have intense chemistry. I recommend you start this series from book one otherwise you will miss out on a lot of the storyline. I love this series and I can't wait to read the next book to find out what happens next. Rayna is staying at MC clubhouse because her step-dad is trying to harm her and her mother. Magnus likes Rayna a lot but she won't give him a chance. Rayna has been hurt many times and knows from her step-dad a guy can pretend to be one thing and then change. This book can be read as a standalone but of course is better as a series. We get to see all the characters from the MC again and some of their unfinished business. I enjoyed the plot and the read can't wait till the next book about Ivar and Starla.
