Fate gave me everything… and then my past came back and stole it all away.
In the blink of an eye, I lost my freedom, my fated pack, and my only shot at happiness.
Alone and outnumbered, I’m held captive by my worst nightmares. My old pack thinks I’m worthless and weak, but I’m not the same Omega they once knew. They have no idea how hard I’ll fight to get back to them—the six men who claimed my heart. My scent matches. My perfect pack.
I’ll go to any lengths, walk through any hell, if it means getting to see them again.
Now that I’ve had a taste of love, I’m not giving it up.
I know my mates are coming for me, but if life has taught me anything, it’s that sometimes, you have to claim your destiny for yourself.
The promise of our future hangs just out of reach, dangled in front of me like a carrot on a stick. But I’m done being a pawn in the wicked games of others.
There’s power in being an Omega, and for the first time in my life, I’m ready to embrace who I am.
I’m Demi Leigh, an Omega who never used to believe in happily ever afters. But since I met my pack, I know they exist.
And I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make mine come true.
Believe It or Knot: Part Two is the second book in a reverse harem (MFMMMMM) Omegaverse duet (now complete) with no choosing, no cheating, and a guaranteed HEA! Please read the content warning at the start of the book for possible triggers.
Harper Wylde is a bestselling paranormal romance and urban fantasy author who lives in the countryside of Pennsylvania. As a wife and mother of three young children, she spends her days chasing after little ones and making notes all around her house about magical worlds, strong heroines, and the men who would do anything to protect them. When she’s not writing, she can often be found curled up with a good book, binge watching reruns of The Vampire Diaries, or gaming with her boys.
I think this duet could have been condensed into one book fairly easily. It felt like not much happened in this one and it was quite reptitive with no real character development. I found myself skimming through the book quite a lot, especially at the end.
Even though the main conflict of Demi's old pack is finally resolved here, the way that all went down left a lot to be desired.
It felt like the tension was just dragged on in a convoluted way. Thankfully, the antagonists did get properly dealt with in the end, but it just all seemed a bit silly. There were some new characters introduced in this book, clearly setting up for the next installments in the series, but I think I'll stop here.
Idk y'all so much of this annoyed me and I felt like it just kept dragging on. A little repetitive and the incoming romantic conflict or conversation to assuage the miscommunication is ridiculous and completely unnecessary.
★DNF 26%! Stoppp I just can’t with the FMC, my heart goes to her and I know she went through some traumatic stuff but Demi (FMC) is just annoying to me personally, everything she done was a bit cringy.
MMC: Thane, Knox, Eli, Jamison, Hades and Leo. Loved Eli and Thane, liked Jamison and Leo, didn’t like Hades and barely any Knox but from what we did get I liked Knox.
I would continue if we had more POV from the MMCs however every chapter so far has been in her POV -12 chapters- and the men only get one each.
Meh. The first book barely made it to 3 stars for me and this one was so repetitive I was bored out of my mind. Everything has to be hashed and rehashed by all 6 MMC and the FMC. Got tired of her being called strong when she was pretty much a Mary Sue. The only reason I kept reading was because I really hoped it would get better. Sadly it didn't and I just didn't care what happened by the end.
I skim read large parts of this as it got quite boring and repetitive. I think it could have easily been condensed down into a standalone. Plus, 6 MMC's was too many in my opinion.
This was a truly fantastic duet. Wonderful, vulnerable, courageous, broken fmc (Demi) and her beautiful mates. This duet had so many delightful elements including scent matches, fated mates, knots, heats and even more importantly plot! A fantastic plot with just the right amount of description missed with dialogue and a rather generous amount of spice mixed in.
Overall, I enjoyed this duology. I think it did a great job handling the FMC's trauma. I was hoping for a legal retribution so the everyone knew what horrible people they were, especially since the one was a politician and his name was everything to him. I think that them being disappeared was just, but it doesn't seem complete, on a way. First time to read this author and I will be looking for more.
I’ve been chasing the high from Lola and the Millionaires for YEARS and this is the first series that comes close I want to burrow myself into this pack and never come out thank you please read this ok bye.
I really enjoyed this book and loved the characters. I'm glad they got back at Demi's old pack and she got her happy ever after with her mates and a little one on the way.
Wow it was both crazy and not surprising what her old pack was getting into. She was rescued from her old pack and being sold. In the process she made a few omega friends, one of which is the daughter of a well known mafia man. She ends up getting put in the OMA system and went through the process so she could officially be courted by her pack. She learned self defense and how to shoot a gun. They all fell more in love with each other. She told Thane about her love of art and they gave her a studio in the library, her favorite room in the house. Anton, Huck and Reed were arrested and then released, because they pinned all of their crimes on her father, which he was involved in but not to blame. She goes to a party with a plan to get her old pack to either confess or disappear. She is separated from her pack in the process. She stabs Huck, and shoots Reed and Anton. Reed starts to strangle her and she shoots Anton again. Her pack arrives along with pack Jacobs and the mafia. Pack Jacobs helps to free the omegas they meant to sell. The mafia man takes the three evil alphas and they will never be seen again. Her and Thane heal in the hospital. When they get home her heat hits. They all claim each other and bond, some of those places had me laughing. The epilogue was so sweet. She sold all of her artwork at the fair. She gifted her mates a painting for the nursery, how she announces that she’s pregnant. They are all so happy and excited and they propose. What a good dualology!

Great story that is mostly well written, BUT there was just too much fluff and it took too long to get to the point. As much as I liked it, I lost interest and ended up DNFing a little past the 40% mark.
This was a nice wrap to Demi's and her packs story.
There were some scenes that could have been thought out a bit more as they just seemed out of place, but it didn't affect the story line, at least to my eye, but they were a little weird.
I just sometimes wish these books wouldn't always end so predictably. Like I know it's sort of apart of the genre, but can't people be a little more creative when writing a HEA?
*Spoilers Ahead*
Like for real, ending with a pregnancy announcement and a marriage proposal? There are other sorts of happy endings too, like I would have been totally content on it being left on Demi's painting business going well or her art work making it big. Or even her going to see her pack at their respective jobs. 'Cause seeing her go to their work place would have been optimum for a giggle and kicking legs situation.
But each author has their own path, and I can respect that.
SYNOPSIS (of Duet): This is set in an Omegaverse world. The FC, Demi, is an Omega who has been sold to an abusive pack by her father. She has been living with them for 11 months and finally reaches her limit when she runs away. Whilst on the run she is saved by Pack Maverick who turn out to be her scent match. The story covers how Demi comes to trust and love her pack but is being hunted by the pack from who she ran away.
Heat Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆 The sex scenes are decently written and hot with the usual group as well as individual sessions with each alpha. The heat and number of scenes ramps up at the end of Book 1 and makes up about 70% of Book 2.
The Duet is written well with limited editing and typing issues. The first book started strong with a likeable FC who showed some strength despite what she had been through and a strong group of possessive, strong Alphas. There was also enough happening to keep the story moving with some drama and angst. There was a good underlying story around the FC and just the right amount of sex. However, whilst there is a decent amount of world building you don‘t really get much depth to what the FC has been through, how her father managed to keep her hidden for 2 years or how she lasted 11 months with Pack Silver. In fact, the whole story around her father is just odd. Aside from just referring to how he sold her and that he knew exactly how she was being treated by Pack Silver he plays no active part in the story. There is absolutely no interaction with the FC which I just found bizarre. There‘s limited background on the Alphas but you do at least get an outline of each of their angsty upbringings where all except one has some kind of traumatic backstory.
Unfortunately whilst Book 2 started off strong with some angst and good action following the cliffhanger ending of Book 1 that‘s where everything fell apart for me. The author introduced sex scene after sex scene and then, having created some great villains and set up a good angsty backdrop where you just wanted them to suffer painfully, she had them simply dealt with „off screen“ so all you got was a „yes they‘ve been arrested“. This comes after pages of huffing and puffing and „we must make them pay and suffer“ from the various Alphas who actually turn out to be quite pathetic when it comes to getting any kind of revenge. Even the mafia who Pack Silver had upset apparently didn’t take any action either which is completely inexplicable.
That alone was very unsatisfactory but then the book drags out to around 75% with mostly sex scenes before you suddenly ***SPOILER*** find the villains have been set free (surprise, surprise because I’d already figured something else surely had to happen). There is no explanation as to how this was possible considering the video evidence and the first hand witnesses of at least 5 individuals who saw the villains doing their thing. Just a simple „wrongful arrest“. I understand a bit of poetic licence for a story but this was frustrating and incredibly lazy. The author didn‘t even bother to explain or even give a lame excuse as to how all the evidence was apparently insufficient or have the FBI and police explain what had gone wrong. I felt that was incredibly disrespectful to her readers. The reality is that there was no need for a second book. The story could have been wrapped up in an extra hundred pages for Book 1 but clearly the author felt the need to have a Duet. Even when you get a halfway decent climax it is still dealt with in such a lazy way. ***SPOILER*** The FC is apparently the only one who can flush out Pack Silver but despite being absolutely surrounded by protection she still manages to apparently be taken away and all those who are supposed to be guarding her take forever to get to her when she is JUST OUTSIDE 🙄
So, all in all, started strong and was a massive let down 😡
2.75⭐️ rounded up Hmm I’m not convinced on this one, I feel like this duet was dragged out and a lot could have been condensed. I honestly skipped a lot of scenes.
I don’t really see any chemistry even though there are plenty of spicy scenes. There’s no character development, it’s just meh
Where’s the mafia coming in to help? They barely used them + Pack Jacob’s - they had them at their disposal but didn’t use it and go out with a big bang ?? Why didn’t they bite her before sending her in? 😭 Like they didn’t need to wait at all, it made zero sense to wait. Her plan was terrible - go into a room full of Alphas and she KNEW she was going to start her heat and could be cornered super easily??? like ugh she sounded so dumb honestly she annoyed me Sooo many things could have been prevented 😫
A let down book after a solid first one damn

So, overall, I stay with a rating of 3.5 to 4 stars. It's definitely not that bad, that I would go lower than 3 stars. Sure, the plot and some characters were lacking for me. I had expected more of a duet. And some things I did mention for the first book lacking were redeemed here.
But again, other things came up here, that did kind of repeal it, and even it out again. Or make it worse, since Demi never truly changed her ways.
So, we get more background on Eli and Knox now. Which I already mentioned was missing in book one. But there are still time jumps in the story. As I said, I'm not a huge fan of that, because we don't get the full scoop on things or the timeline in general. You can only roughly guess. And I still don't know how old they all are.
Furthermore, she still doesn't tell them what's going on in her mind or what she sees. It always comes out trickling. Which only prolongs the story for no real reason. The book could have easily been shortened without that.
Even with all that, I liked the story. But a lot was predictable for me in general. For example, like the first book, it was clear she didn't imagine seeing Pack Silver and because she didn't say anything about that, she got kidnapped.
Here, it was clear to me, when Pack Silver got incarcerated, that it wouldn't stick. Because it wasn't even close to the ending. And that it would be solved with the help of the mafia. You don't mention a favor, if it will not be needed. And it is clear that Julia and her brothers will get their own stories. Same with Pack Jacobs. It's clear as day, that they have to be involved to set the stage for the next books. Though, I'm really interested in those characters. More than I am with Demi and her pack. Sure, they are sweet, and I'm happy, that they all got their HEA. But I still wouldn't say that Demi is a strong and capable character. Sure, as I said, she gained confidence and fortified herself. But most of the time she is insecure and too soft. I have nothing against that, but I enjoy an FMC that knows her game better. And Julia is that kind of character, who will be smart, strong, even under duress — as we see at the auction — and doesn't shy away from the tough stuff. Though, she still has her own insecurities and issues, since she surely thinks no pack would want her, because of her background. And maybe her being too independent and set in the background by her family, even if they mean well and to protect her. So, I see a good conflict, while she isn't afraid of her choices.
Otherwise, as I said, there were more things that were lacking and really ill-placed. Like how the whole thing was solved. The plan of Demi didn't make sense to me. I'm sure Julia's family could have solved that without her being involved at all. Like under the guise of wanting to buy an omega, and then confront them with their knowledge and the situation. And then them getting their fate served. But no, it has to be some plan where things have to go wrong, because she didn't stick to the plan and ending with some of them getting hurt and bloody. Just no. It wasn't the most logical conclusion.
I think the author did go that route to show, that she can stand up for herself and defend, after all the training. And yeah, she did. But again, it could have added in a plan, that is smart and with the help of the mafia. And so on.
But ok. It's done now. The spice was good. Nothing extraordinary I haven't read before. But not boring, either. I still did find myself skipping over a lot of that, since it was too often. In general, I had those moments with some of the plot, because it was a simple repeat of discussions that were held several times in the story.
I wasn't a big fan of the epilogue, either. I mean, it was nice and a good ending in the sense, that their dreams were on the way to being reality. But for me here it was only half-way to a great ending, because it should have been ended with showing the child and their family life in the end.
Again, it's ok as it is. It is somewhat decent, but I'm sure it could have been better executed and shortened, so that it made more sense.
It has potential for being 5 stars. Just not in that constellation.
I loved how devoted the guys are to Demi, you can feel their feelings in every word and every gesture, and Demi loves them just as strongly. Lots of heartwarming scenes among the angst and smut that warmed my heart 🥺 What i loved the most is probably the author’s writing, it’s so good!
Compared to the first book, this time i felt like i could distinguish each guy better (but maybe it’s because i got to know them more deeply? Idk), but at the same time, just like before, i found Leo was treated more like an Alpha than a Beta (he can even bite her to create a bond and purr, all he needs is a knot at this point) so i still have mixed feelings about it.
The things that really stopped me from giving this book an higher rating are written on the very end of this review because they contain some spoilers (although i still tried to kept them either vague or they aren’t important story-wise).
Anyway, i very much liked this book and i can’t wait to read more stories from this series ✨ (next should be about pack Jacobs? 👀).
Here are the things i didn’t like (spoiler-ish):
1) i wasn’t a fan of how repetitive the conflict with Pack Silver was. She’s free then she isn’t, she’s free again but oops not anymore, she’s free a third ti- nope, something comes up. That back and forth was a lil too much for me;
2) we never find out what happened to her father. Yes, he’s in prison like he deserves but we never had a confrontation with him? He was basically the reason why her life was hell, he sold her to Pack Silver, so why there wasn’t at least one interaction with him? I mean, i’m not saying she should’ve forgiven him or anything (obviously, screw him), but not even a “why did you do to this to me? why was money more important than me?”etc..;
3) the plan to get revenge on Pack Silver was a little silly honestly.
This is the second book in the Runaway Omega series, and, I believe, marks the end of Demi’s duet. Tropes and themes include omegaverse, why choose (MFMMMMM), praise, knotting and nesting, angst, hurt/comfort and touch her and die. Please see content warnings for dark themes and spice content.
The Lovely: This took everything I loved from book one, added a heap of angst and then amped up all the emotions. I could *feel* the pack’s angst and fear and sheer terror at what was happening and was scared right along with them. This book hit all the feels and is one of my new favorite omegaverse books.
Also Lovely: Remember me saying in Part 1 the villains hold a grudge? Still very grudge-y. In all seriousness, I liked the underlying plot and how it brought in a few new characters.
Rating: 5/5 Stars 3/5 Flames
Recommendation: As I understand it, this book marks the end of Demi’s duet (although the series is planned to continue?) and, as such, we did see a HEA. All I will say, as to not spoil, is it was a fitting end to the story and I loved how it wrapped up. I can’t wait to read more of this author’s back list, and meet her at Villains & Vixens in 2025.
I absolutely loved Believe it or Knot by Harper Wylde! Part two of Demi and her pack’s story was everything I hoped for and more.
One of my favorite aspects of the book was the way Demi’s kidnapping was handled. We didn’t get a male POV during her time away, which left us in the dark about her pack’s condition. I thought this was such a smart choice, as it emphasized just how quickly she was beginning to deteriorate. It really added to the tension and emotional weight of those chapters.
Hades and Knox completely stole the show for me. They’re my two favorite alphas in the book, and the way they treat Demi is absolutely heart-melting. Their bond with her is so genuine and heartfelt.
And that ending? Demi’s pregnancy announcement was perfect. The reactions from the pack were so true to each of their characters and felt incredibly authentic. It was such a beautiful way to close out this chapter of their story.
This series has been so good, and I can’t wait to dive into Pack Jacob’s story next!
