This eye-opening book about the unheralded women who helped create the Museum of Modern Art is filled with feminist moxie. Its erudite and entertaining profiles are studded with fabulous photos from the MoMA archives. These bring to mind those great 1930s and 1940s movies where women defied the rules and always knew what matters.
