Lyric was the woman that everyone wanted! She checked every box and despite being a young scammer had this appeal that couldn’t be denied. After coming to her rescue one day Griff knew he had to have her… after all he had been waiting and watching from the sidelines like Drake until she became of age *too soon?! 😩🤣* stay focused!
Anyways it wasn’t long before Lyric realized that she was nothing more than a trophy or something to conquer for Griff. Now they are 8 years into a marriage that was doomed from the start. They went from orgies with Griff’s best friend Shooter to Griff changing his middle name to infidelity.
After Griff’s slick talking leads to the infamous “hall pass” he didn’t realize that he couldn’t take what he dished out!
Baby things escalated quickly!! Now I’m hip to Nicole Jackson’s method so I pieced a good amount of the story together as I went along. I’m not shocked by how things played out and can honestly say everybody triflin. 😩😩
I can’t wait to see how things turn out in book 2 because I almost feel like everyone needs a fresh start…. This is out of hand and way too messy! Let the games continue……😈

It the toxicity for me
Is this my new guilty pleasure? Toxic relationship that should be doomed. I ate this up a little to fast. I can't even say they deserve the HEA but i do, so I'm rooting for it. The pacing was really good, I enjoyed the use of the time hops, and I'm so glad it was multiple POV. While I was eager to get out of Lyric's head, I think the author had a good balance. Part 2 feels lik it's going to be stressful.

This book, this book, this book! I always begin her books knowing it’s gonna take me on a ride, but this ride was oh so good. Lyric unashamedly was gonna do what she wanted and not be a fool over these ninjas. The nonchalance and they way it can cause mind games has never been captured in a novel or movie quite like this! Loved it and definitely another permanent add to my library because I will definitely re-read over and over⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First of all, if you are looking for a romantic love story, this ain’t that! The women aren’t feminine and nothing sexy is happening. Just a bunch of unprotected sex, sharing women, cheating, betrayal, and selfishness. Trying to picture the main character and all I see is Dej Loaf the rapper. She’s emotionless and is nonchalant about everything, which also contributes to her husband becoming who he is. she didn’t need to get married if she knew she wanted Shooter. This is a wholeeeee mess!!! Honestly, I think that Shooter and Griff shouldn’t have been sharing from the start. However, Griff changed things when he wanted Lyric to himself. Whole time, Shooter wants Lyric but didn’t say anything so he strung Shaun along. Griff was a terrible husband BUT this book broke down how he became that way. Ultimately, him asking for a pass to sleep with Shaun (while married to Lyric) caused this wild fire to spread. Lyric and Shooter was down bad for going behind his back sleeping with each other and Lyric definitely should have been upfront about her daughter. Both men were garden tools! Both women were weak. Shaun knew Shooter had multiple women but she chose to stick around. I only fell slightly bad for her. Now she’s airing out their dirty laundry and I am here for the foolishness. Lyric is pregnant and trying to live happily ever after with Shooter and Shaun is pregnant for Griff and he’s begging Lyric to come back home. 5 stars for sure!

🔥🔥🔥 This Was Crazy‼️ I Wasn’t Ready‼️ Spoilers‼️
Baby the plot twist in this book 🤯🤯. Can I say that I’m glad Lyric got a happy ending cause we ain’t gonna act like them two grown men didn’t try to play on the naive mind of a 19 year old. Yes she made some mistakes and poor decisions but can’t forget she clearly couldn’t have much of a role model when it came to her momma cause where did was at. Now how you gonna marry that girl but don’t wanna share money besides bills or be a good father or husband but wanna scream unaliving when she leave. The fact that he beat her for 3 days 🤯. That man was crazy okay. I wish Shooter would’ve been said forget that man feelings and get his woman and child and be happy. Can’t be too focus on grown folks feelings cause they don’t wanna face the facts. Chile Nay 🤦🏾♀️ I wasn’t ready for that revelation and he all on her social media but got the nerve to be sad 🗣️the audacity. Shun 🤦🏾♀️ that’s yo fault how you let a man play for you for that long.

Yall omg. Those two words already know how I’m feeling LMAO. Anyways I went into this book blind and let me tell you baby it’s STEAMY 🔥🔥🔥 and includes voyeurism. AND ALSO THE PLOT TWIST WAS CRAZYYY like if you take the time to think about the potential plot twists your most likely gonna know but like I said I went in blind and didn’t think to much about it. Needless to say I WOULD HAVE sympathized for griff if he wasn’t how he was. But I love shooter and lyric. As for spelling there were a few errors that I seen but they were minor and the pacing was good. I loved the way Nicole portrayed a womanizer. And how they are bad but still have feelings (I am not saying I agree I’m simply saying everyone-regardless who- is a human) all in all

Wow, no words just WOW!!!
I have read some good stuff from this author but babyyyyy. There's no words for this storyline except wow, no words just wow!! Grif wanted to play and got played is the best way to sum it up. I have never or can remember such brazen acts before in characters like this but they all played and some caught feelings. I honestly didn't see Shooter evolving into this character, I knew it was more with that lil girl but Nay had peeped it all out. Shun got shunned period so move around. I don't fault Lyric at all for doing what men have been doing since history of mankind. Great story, no matter if there's a book two or not this ended well with me.

the drama!!
This book is definitely giving throwback urban fiction. Street pharmacy, toxicity, infidelity, all that. At first, I didn’t quite understand how Lyric even married Griff in the first place but as the story unfolded it all came out. The author did a great job of weaving the story. I was like omg several times! Honestly, everybody was trifling!! She was kind of a hypocrite talking about what she wouldn’t let Shooter do but let her husband walk all over her. I feel like some things could be updated. Nobody is really driving Escalades and Hummers anymore, not even 8 years ago. The book needed to be edited. But overall, very entertaining.

Idk where to start… this book was a rollercoaster ride and I held on for dear life because it was sooooo good. I really hate Griff and I really wish Lyric hadn’t let him convince her to be with him. Cause that man is trash. I mean toxic in the worst way. Now Shooter, he a hoe but that’s also bae cause I think he only a hoe cause he don’t know how to handle being in love with Lyric. Going to read part 2 now and pray Lyric and Shooter finally get to be together and Griff dies. The end that’s how I need it to go.

This book was everything and then some. It took me through a journey i did not see coming. It was fast paced and definitely drew me in from page 1 til end. It gave me the messy, the lost love, the baby everything I love in a book. I also loved the flashbacks to show how we got from this to that. It ended with closure but maybe a part 2 idk .. but definitely get into this You will not be disappointed

All of the MCs are grimey so it’s hard to feel sorry for them or relate to them. There are multiple POVs and time jumps/flashbacks that get confusing but the story overall is interesting. I read it in two days. There are aggravating grammatical errors and typos the Ebonics is on ten but it’s interest. I wanted to know and still want to know how it ends so I’m on to the next.

I’m not for the abrupt ending, but otherwise, this was a fast-paced, easy and enjoyable read. lyric played absolutely way too much and payed the price in the end messing around with Griff funny looking tail! She should have never lingered, she especially shouldn’t have married dude. Ain’t no way! Especially considering Shooter. Yeah, the ending almost feels unfitting, but that’s my opinion.

These stories be so good. Baby, she will suck you in with the drama and humping alone, but the storylines and plots be storylining and plotting 🤣.

I couldn’t feel an ounce of empathy for none of the adults. Sweet Dalani and the unborn are the two who garner my deepest condolences for having F’d up parents. This book is wild! this book was bad but in a way that makes you want to power through to see what happens at the end. the back and forth that took place between these three people over the course of those 8 years was absolutely insane. then that plot twist actually had my mouth hanging lmao but i can’t dispute that i wasn’t kinda entertained by the sheer MESS that was this book

Two Can Play That Game 😜
Griff was a terrible husband and he only wanted Lyric because she was a challenge. All the cheating that was ignored should have been a clue that she had feelings or live somewhere else. Shooter shows that BDE to the fullest so it's easy to see why he has so many women falling at his feet.
