For me, this book took a bit to get into and I was even thinking of just dropping it to be honest. In the end, I found it amusing enough and might even pick up the next book as the story finally seems to really get started near the end of the book. The cultivation in this book is somewhat 'meh' and if you're expecting a lot of sects, sect politics and a lot of growth via cultivation then I think you'll be disappointed. The story seems to be a cultivation/litRPG/isekai-light combination, so if you don't like isekai, give this book a pass.
To me, the MC is a major ass. At the end of the book I find him tollerable but not likable as the protagonist of a story. The story itself starts slow and this is one of the reasons I thought about dropping it. For me, it only really got more interesting after 50-66% of the book.
Writingwise this book will take some getting used to. For some reason, the author(s) prefer to use a massive number of chapters in the book. While this might be fine in very long stories, it doesn't really make sense for a book of this length. You get a new chapter every 2-8 pages (kindle Oasis, fontsize 3). This kind of breaks the flow for me, but it's doable. There are some minor typo's that I've found, but not enough to detract from the story itself.

Needs another pass at editing
Inconsistent characterization, statements that come out of nowhere just to force plot points, and a surprising number of misspellings. Not only that but the plot is so meandering that I have no idea what parts to take seriously.
As an example: Two characters usually at odds with each other are finally getting along, but the narration can't accept that so the guy pulls an overly dramatic disgusted face at her out of nowhere. POV shifts back to the guy when she takes offense and there's literally no explanation of why he did that or if he even did in the first place. A few chapters later, the girl's thought make it sound like she misheard a compliment as an insult but nothing of the sort was said in the entire conversation until after she left. The story just makes up plot points for no reason

Pretty good.
I enjoyed this book. The story was pretty good. The writing was a little strange at times, with one or two grammatical or word errors that really stood out, but at times it felt disconnected, and sometimes it feels like a translation (not a bad one, but not a great one).
I'm going to read the next one when it comes out, and recommend it as long as you can be a little forgiving.

December 15, 2024DNF — Too long to get into. In the first bit once the dude is reincarnated, he shits himself and then summons a high grade water elemental but does he get this? Nope. He sends her away because she's a cunt. Dude is his own worst enemy and the dialogue is ridiculous and confusing. No thank you. I don't recommend this to anyone.

A good beginning!
An enjoyable beginning to this new series!! As with a lot of new series there are some small editing mistakes and the world building is a little erratic but it doesn't take away from what the author is creating!!! I can't wait to read what comes next!!!

Isekai cultivation story.
The start is really confusing and it takes some time till the "real" story establishes itself and till it makes some kind of sense.
The cultivation part is not very strong but I like the world building with the elementals - kind of like genies.

Great twist on. Cultivation Genre
I love the book It was a new spin on the cultivation genre. The only complaint is I wish to have been a little longer Good character development And I love how Half the book was not an explanation on how to cultivate

Enjoyable read
It's an enjoyable read. The book has very slow start with nothing much happening till 2/3rds of the book. But the short chapters made it easier for me to read.
