J'ai écouté l'audio book pendant ma pause et c'était vraiment TRÈS TRÈS rapide.
C'était une romance insta-love ok (même si j'aime pas trop ce trope), mais je pense que je l'aurais oublié très rapidement. Par contre, je suis curieuse de lire d'autres titres de cette autrice.

An absolutely adorable story! I doubt I'll ever join the hockey romance obsession, but if they are all like this one...bring them on!! This was a light-hearted, sweet Christmas story between 2 characters that had a history that made this have a bit of enemies to lovers aspect. Katie and Connor both had things they had to work on, but in the end they were perfect for each other and I'm so glad I gave this first-time author a try. I'm going to have to listen to the rest of the series. Also, I thought it super cool that not only was there an epilogue for the book, but also a series epilogue!! I've never seen that done before and now wonder why we can't have it become a commonality. :)

I don’t do winter sports. Just never had a chance. But I’m in love with all things winterish. And this story brings all the wintery Christmas magic and a hockey player.
Connor gets traded to his home town that’s filled with unhappy memories and he works with Katie on some PR community events. Katie captures the moments on video and it’s adorable.
Such a perfect holiday read with fun family traditions, good friends, banter, and so many warm fuzzy moments to make your heart sigh.

I love a good hockey romance! I've read several over the last couple of years and they're super fun. I grew up going to many hockey games, professional down to high school teams and street hockey. So when all these hockey books from favorite authors started showing up I was pretty excited. My dad and I would go together and those are some of my favorite and cherished memories. They're pretty loud and wild and cold and fun! I haven't been to any games in years so reading about them has been a blast and brings back those memories!
Poor Connor Greene, he's being transferred from one team to another. And he's not too thrilled about it. He's heading back to a place that doesn't hold the best memories for him. And it's right before Christmas. He has no choice but to go and say goodbye to his family. But luckily for him, he's given the chance to fix a few things and spend time with a great family who is connected to the team.
Katie is a videographer who is really good at what she does. When her dad tells her that the hockey team he works for is doing some video features of different players and she's being matched with one, she's thrilled to get more notice for her business. Except when she discovers who the player is at her family Christmas party. Hahaha! And that he was the dude from the night before at the department store. You'll have to read the book to discover what their meet-cute is. Oh poor Connor! Hahaha! He really does need everyone he can get in his corner right now!
There were so many scenes I adored in this book. They were delightful and heartwarming. Meg Easton is such a fantastic writer and excels at leaving you feeling happy and completely absorbed in her books. I was laughing and grinning and cheering these two characters on in their story. Connor has had some hard things and Katie is just adorably sweet and the perfect one to help Connor in his healing.
And I can't forget to mention that scene with a handful of hockey players, lots of flowers and lots of smiles! You'll love it!
If you haven't read the previous two books in this series, don't worry, you can enjoy each one as a standalone. But if you've read them, you'll enjoy seeing some cameos of previous characters. I'm sad to see this series end but I know that there will be lots more great books to come from this author! Can't wait to see what they are!

A cozy Christmas time romance! Well written with vibrant characters, this book is an enjoyable read. The lovable main characters, Katie and Connor, have great chemistry and relationship magic. They both have engaging personalities and intriguing backgrounds that add depth to their story. The “no-relationship clause” in Katie’s contract created an expectation of conflict that oddly never materialized. However, the delightful Christmas activities and lively family gatherings make for page-turning entertainment. I highly recommend all of Meg Easton’s books. She writes fabulous romances and keeps it clean. (I was given a digital copy of this story. This review is my opinion.)

This book was adorable! I enjoyed the previous two books in this series from Meg Easton last Christmas. They were my favorite reads of the season so I was super excited to read this one! What a beautiful ending to this sweet series! It was full of the magic and Hallmark vibes which I just love when reading a Christmas romance. I didn’t want to put it down!
NHL player Connor is traded to another team right before Christmas. To make matters worse it is his previous hometown that is full of unhappy memories for him. His plan is to get traded again as soon as possible. Katie didn’t expect to run into Connor again after that dance her freshman year of high school. Not only was he arrogant and unkind to her back then, but he doesn't even remember her from high school when she bumps into him at the department store. When she gets assigned as the videographer to shoot footage of him for a community promo and watches him interact with her family and friends she wonders if she has misjudged him.
I love the Christmas traditions that are a part of this series and I was so excited to see the Santa Hat from the first book back in this one. I really want to make this one part of my family traditions one day when my girls are grown and have families of their own. It was so fun watching Connor get to be a part of that magic. He fit into Katie’s family right away and I was cheering them on and hoping they would win that dinner competition. Connor was such a genuine and kind person. I loved the depth brought to the story from his hard past and how he changed and overcame that to become who was today. Him and Katie were adorable together! I enjoyed the found family vibes and how Katie's family immediately made Connor feel a part of them when he had nowhere else to spend Christmas. The snowstorm brought on some added action and adventure to the story. I loved every minute reading this. Meg is so good at writing books that make you smile and bring on all the happy sighs.

I love reading Meg Easton's books because you know you're going to get a sweet, low-drama story, with real characters, supportive families, and great romance. This is the 3rd book in her Christmas series, and it's a sweet hockey romance. It's a slightly shorter novel, which I like when reading during the holidays. I liked the pace of the story and reading about all the fun family Christmas traditions.

3 ⭐️ This was my first foray into the world of hockey love stories, and I’ll admit—I was sold on the cheeky title alone. It’s a sweet, feel-good holiday romance with a Christmas vibe and plenty of mistletoe, but don’t expect anything steamier than a few kisses. It’s an easy read that works perfectly fine as a standalone, even though it’s part of a series.

Trouble is, Connor isn’t just any player—he’s the guy who made her high school years miserable. Now, stuck in his hometown he swore he’d never return to, Connor has to prove to Katie (and himself) that he’s more than his past mistakes. Cue Christmas lights, second chances, and a little holiday magic.
Why it’s not a 5-star read: First, it’s not super memorable—it’s like that Hallmark movie you watch once and never revisit. Second, if someone asked me for a Christmas book, this wouldn’t crack my top 10. And finally, I hate when authors narrate how characters feel. A hockey star who can’t wait to skip town. A videographer whose career relies on him. I really enjoyed this holiday hockey romance. The way Connor was with people and Katie got to witness it through her camera made me melt every time. The hockey team putting together wedding bouquets was probably one of my favorite scenes. I love hockey teams that work together to build a brotherhood and help their community. I love their family Christmas game. You’ll have to read to find out.
The couples from previous books were also in this story but I didn’t feel I was missing information to enjoy book 3 without reading the first two books. If anything it made me want to go read the first two books, which I’ve added to my list. 😃I really enjoyed the audio for this book on Hoopla. I loved this book! So sweet and fun. Now I need to go back and read the rest of the series, haha! I don’t feel like it hurt this story that I hadn’t read the ones before it, but I’m sure the characters from the previous books in the series would’ve been more three dimensional to me if I had.
I loved all the Christmas vibes, the family centered activities and celebrations, the forced proximity trope that allowed her to see him differently, the fun banter between characters, the supporting secondary characters, and the snowstorm scene!

The super sweet hockey player just finding his place back in his hometown. I loved his character through the entire book. Conner was definitely my favorite.
Snowstorm kisses, little bits of hockey, christmas feels, and found family… this has it all.

Amazing! The perfect cozy Christmas hockey romcom! Both of the main characters are so lovable! And the rest of the characters are awesome as well! The plot was perfect but not stressful and the entire atmosphere of the book was cozy and calm!

MY TAKE
What a lovely end to the series. I cannot even imagine what it would be like to have a job that could send you off to a new work location with so little time that you couldn't even grab clothes to wear. At least not and still be a civilian.
Connor and Katie have more of a history than he realizes. But she remembers who he is. And he is so full of angst at returning to his hometown, a place where his family fell apart and he became an angry teen, someone he didn't like being. He doesn't need the reminders.
But then he runs into Katie. Literally. And she's not very nice to him either, just like the punk kids in the store where he's shopping for those items he didn't get to collect before coming. But then he sees her again when he's invited to share the holidays with his franchise's publicity guy. And it's her family.
And Connor managed to impress her, enough that she totally gets sucked in. But the going, while fast, isn't easy, it's totally swoony.
And there's even a series epilogue. *sigh*

MY TAKE
What a lovely end to the series. I cannot even imagine what it would be like to have a job that could send you off to a new work location with so little time that you couldn't even grab clothes to wear. At least not and still be a civilian.
Connor and Katie have more of a history than he realizes. But she remembers who he is. And he is so full of angst at returning to his hometown, a place where his family fell apart and he became an angry teen, someone he didn't like being. He doesn't need the reminders.
But then he runs into Katie. Literally. And she's not very nice to him either, just like the punk kids in the store where he's shopping for those items he didn't get to collect before coming. But then he sees her again when he's invited to share the holidays with his franchise's publicity guy. And it's her family.
And Connor managed to impress her, enough that she totally gets sucked in. But the going, while fast, isn't easy, it's totally swoony.
And there's even a series epilogue. *sigh*

This book was just what the doctor ordered for me as I needed a little pick me up! It provided me with some laughter, fun family games and just the right amount of sweetness and charm paired with the Christmas season making this book a top read for Christmas book lovers.
Katie Allred is a videographer waiting on her big break. She is very talented. She just needs more business. Her father works with the local hockey team, the Denver Glaciers. He informs her that she has been chosen to work some PR magic for a team member showing community involvement. This could be just what she needs to grow her business to epic proportions. The only problem is that she has no idea who she will be working with.
Connor Greene has just been traded to the Denver Glaciers. He is not happy with this move for more than one reason. He hates the thought of missing Christmas with his family in Charlotte, the Glaciers are the arch rival of his previous team and most of all, he has terrible memories of Mountain Springs that he has kept locked away for years and does not want to revisit.
When Katie finds out that Connor is her assignment, she starts having a flashback of a dance in high school where he humiliated her. She needs this job, so she will have to put the past in the past and move forward. She expects to work with a spoiled bratty athlete, but what she finds is something completely different.
This was such a phenomenal book with endearing characters and poignant moments of transparency of true feelings that will warm your heart. There were several really hilarious scenes. One of which involved an elf suit that was a little too small for our main character that provided a little chuckle for me. The other was an underwear throwing episode at a local store. You will just have to read it to find out. I loved the family dynamics with Katie's family. They were a close knit family. The Christmas activities and competitions were so imaginative and sounded like fun. This book was just all around fun to read with a sweet romance that will touch your heart. Hallmark Christmas movie lovers will enjoy this book.

All three stories were sweet and highlight the Christmas spirit I look forward to in a holiday novel. While I was reading the first book, I thought that the Allred Christmas traditions were quite excessive, but for a big family, I guess it just fits right with them. I really enjoyed how these traditions brought the 3 couples closer, and it was fun seeing the kids Aiden and Holly, who were initially fighting because of jealousy at the beginning of The Christmas Bet, bond over those Christmas activities.
The audiobook narrator was also a delight to listen to. She has a calming voice that really represents the main characters but also could modulate her voice when talking as another character in the stories. I usually space out whenever I listen to purely narrated audiobooks, but not with this one! I enjoyed listening to the ALC and didn’t space out one bit!
For a light, easy, and charming Christmas romance read, pick up this series by Meg Easton!

I’m sad to see that this is the end of the series, but I loved every single second of it! I loved all the holiday themed events that Katie & Connor attended and how they made the two of them grow closer together. Katie’s family’s traditions were so much fun and I loved that both Katie & Connor were determined to win the competition. Their creativeness with their dinner ingredients was amazing (and kind of made me want to try one or two of them). I also loved that Katie’s stubbornness inadvertently caused them to get closer together. I loved the events that occurred after one particular event of stubbornness where Connor got to take care of Katie!
Summary:
Katie has dreams of being a great videographer, but is having difficulty getting her business off the ground. So when an offer to follow a hockey team member for some feel good holiday clips in order to bring the whole team’s reputation to a better standing, Katie is thrilled. That is until she happens upon the player she’s meant to follow. Connor went to her high school and caused her some distress in the midst of causing trouble around school back when she was a freshman. Needless to say she doesn’t have a favorable opinion of Connor, which could be bad for her assignment. Can she find good in Connor when she already feels this way about him?
Connor is not thrilled to be traded to a new team just a few days before Christmas. He’s especially not thrilled to have been traded back to his hometown that he planned on never returning to, not after everything that went down there. The second he can, Connor’s requesting to be traded just about anywhere else. But soon after getting into town Connor bumps into someone so intriguing that it has him second guessing the decision to leave when he can. Katie is not only beautiful, but also has a determined and fiery spirit that leaves him wanting to know more about her. He just needs to show her that who he truly is is not the same person she knew in high school…

The Christmas Clause was a pleasant surprise and easily my favorite of the Mountain Springs Christmas books. The emotional depth is stronger, the romance feels more intentional, and the holiday setting is woven in more naturally.

A “Christmas clause” baked into a contract creates forced proximity and raises the stakes in a way the previous books didn’t quite manage. It adds a believable reason for the characters to spend time together — and for feelings to develop.
⭐ The characters:
Both leads feel more emotionally grounded and better developed here. Their individual struggles are given space to breathe, making their growth feel earned rather than rushed.
⭐ The romance:
The chemistry is warmer, deeper, and more emotionally satisfying. There’s still plenty of coziness, but this book finally allows vulnerability to drive the relationship instead of relying solely on trope mechanics.

The Christmas Clause was such a cute way to end this series. Even after having not read the others since probably last year, I felt like I was able to easily jump into this series again without feeling lost so I would think if you start with this book without having read the others, you would be just fine. I did enjoy getting to see Katie's family again as they definitely had a lot of fun family Christmas traditions that make this a unique read.
I feel like I say this about so many tropes, but I am a sucker for pro athlete male leads in my romance novels. And there was just something about Connor. He was just so adorable! He was troubled in high school, but overall he wasn't really trying to overcome this "bad boy" image that some of these tropes go for. Of course there is a bit of miscommunication and misunderstanding where Katie tries to pull away, but I really like how she, on her own, is like nah, we're gonna figure this out. Like she knows they need to talk and make it work. And Connor comes to the same conclusion too. Very refreshing. Then the chemistry was just perfect. Yes please!
Also, that series epilogue where we get a peek 5 years into the future for each of the couples this series focused on was very sweet. Having read all three books, it was like a reunion of characters and I just loved seeing where their lives brought them. So while you could read this book by itself or read the series out of order, I highly encourage you start from the beginning. They make for fun, quick reads that are very enjoyable and festive.

Katie is an aspiring videographer that has just been given a big break working for the Denver Glaciers hockey team. She is being paired with one of the players to make a promo video for the team. She's excited about this opportunity until she finds out that her player is Connor Greene. Connor grew up in Mountain Springs and isn't excited to return home after being traded to Denver. He doesn't have the best memories from his time growing up in Mountain Springs. One memory in particular is why Katie doesn't want to make a video with him. As they work to promote the Glaciers by doing various Christmas activities around town, Katie begins to see a new side of Connor and feelings begin to change. Connor couldn't wait to be traded at first but now he is starting to fall for Katie. He has to decide whether to transfer like he had planned or to stay and follow his heart.
This is the third book in the Mountain Springs Christmas series. I was so happy to see that this one was also a hockey romcom. I liked the flower arrangement scene with the hockey team. The Christmas Clause is the third book in the Mountain Springs Christmas series. I have not yet read the previous books and found I was able to enjoy it just fine as a standalone. There is a series epilogue at the end that will catch up on the characters from previous books more--- but I skipped that for now until I go back and read those to avoid any potential spoilers!
What's better than a holiday romance? A HOCKEY holiday romance, of course! This was such a fun read! From that first hilarious (re)meeting, I was all in with this story. There were so many moments that had me laughing out loud throughout the story and I found myself smiling the entire time I read. Katie and Connor had a bit of a messy history, so it came as an unwelcome surprise when she was assigned to be his videographer... but when they wind up on the same team during a family holiday competition... well, those feelings start to change! This was so cute! I am a big fan of the sweet romances Meg Easton writes and have really enjoyed the first two stories in the A Mountain Springs Christmas collection. Each work as a standalone, but I recommend reading in order especially because this one has the BEST series epilogue at the end.
Set in the Hallmark-esq setting of Mountain Springs, Colorado, Katie is a videographer who gets the amazing opportunity to film one of the Denver Glacier's hot hockey players for some community promos. When said hot hockey player turns out to be Connor, a former resident with rough memories tied to the area, her job is no longer as straight forward as it seemed.
I loved the dual POV in this story and depth of the characters. It was fun to see how Easton blended her small-town romance vibes (that she always lands) with the hockey trend. It fit so well and I really enjoyed the glimpses of the teammates and dynamics as well.
If you are in the mood for a family Christmas, super creative traditions, hockey hero and independent heroine, then make sure you pick up this book. It had so much heart and sweet romance, I am already looking forward to reading it again.

I'm always up for reading a book by Meg Easton. I love the way she writes her characters, and settings. Her books always make me smile. And I can't put them down. This one was no different.
I loved Katie. Things seem to be lining up for her. She's got a job as a videographer for the Denver Glaciers and she knows it will bring so much exposure to her little business. I loved this story! It's a sweet holiday read about Connor who is traded to a new hockey team he doesn't want to be on (just before the holidays to boot) and Katie, a videographer hired to film Connor at various events around town during the holidays for the hockey team. Connor is a hometown boy with a sad past and a forgotten history with our dear Katie as well.
The whole time I was reading this book, I just kept thinking about how much I wanted to see this as one of my Hallmark Christmas movies...it is sweet, it's got great characters that you become invested in all the way, the holiday story is engaging and you know you want these characters to be together. You also want to know more about the other characters. A few already have their own stories, and there are a few that I hope get one! There's a a little enemies to lovers to get my trope juices where they need to be.
This is actually the third book in the series but you can totally read it on it's own and not get lost. I want to go back and read the first two just because I enjoyed this one so much and want to see how the other couples got together. I always love a book that has recurring characters.
I highly recommend this for an engaging holiday read!
