Liam Calvetti. Formula one golden boy and legend in the making. Openhearted, kind, yet ruthless on the track. And the future of the Aravis Racing Team. And my brother’s best friend slash rival. But the closer I get to meet the golden boy, the more I find out about him. Maybe even the next villain in my book. Lauren Harper. Bestselling author and outcast beside her brother. And my biggest temptation. The longer she is on her travel plan, the harder it is to resist her. One wrong move and the bomb that kept us away will explode. With one trip on the wire and all is well. The forbidden will become my dearest possession.
"I cup her shin between my index and thumb, tempting her to look at me."
Uhhmmm anyway, I think you meant to write "chin"!?
This is a two POV book, told by the POV´s of Liam and Lauren.
I have to honestly say I didn´t really like either of the characters and couldn´t connect with them throughout the book. Which also resulted in me barely caring about their romance. Lauren feels like a pick me "I swear I love Formula 1", and for an author she doesn´t really talk about books. Liam´s character just felt too one dimensional and flat for me.
I can´t really comment on side characters with this one.
For the plot I have to say one of the biggest issues with the book in general are the format issues; grammer mistakes etc. I also didn´t really like the writing style, it´s mostly short sentences that feel really abrupt and kind of like the story is "ripped" if that makes sense to you. It´s all like: "I got out of my car. I took of my helmet and waved." This way it reads like an average fanfiction and that´s also the main reason why I only skimmed parts of the book. The insta love is also a no from me, they see each other and are instantly in love just by sight. As a slowburn girly, this ain´t for me. The pacing felt kind of off as well, there are random time jumps in the middle of the story (one time there is a time jump of two months) and that coupled with the insta love, made it feel too slow and parts and too fast at others. The Formula 1 "lingo" also wasn´t there. It is the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the beginning of the book and then suddenly at the end of the book (and the season) it´s the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix again...... There is never the exact same Grand Prix twice in the same season. Next season again, yes. But not in the same one.
Overall I´d recommend you one of the other F1 books out there which are much better. *cough* read "A Man´s World" by Grace Newman *cough*
I recieved an arc for this nearly 4 weeks ago and unfortunately DNF'd it.
The writing doesn't make sense because it flips between past and present tense from sentence to sentence. This isn't a style choice, it's just not correct writing.
I emailed the team who sent me the arc twice - telling them about this issue BEFORE release, and they've completely ignored me both times. I initially said I wouldn't leave a review but people who follow my account and trust me saw me talking about this (before i had the arc) and are now reading it and messaging ME that they've recieved a book with errors.
I understand there's a small team behind this and it's such an achievement to write and publish a whole book, but as an arc reader I'm disappointed to have been completely ignored.
I was so lucky to be chosen to recieve an ARC of “Unrevealed” by Hannah Allen, that comes out on November 26th and I couldn’t be more grateful <3
“Unrevealed” follows Liam, a promising F1 driver, who’s on the path to win his first World title, and Lauren, a young and promising romance writer and sister to the one and only Nate Harper, another F1 driver with 2 Driver’s Championship under his belt already. Lauren is going to follow her brother all around the world for an entire season to gather new ideas for her new book, whereas Liam is decided to win that year’s Driver’s Championship as he promised to his mom to do so, so many years back, when he was a little boy. But… will they be able to chase their dreams leaving aside the attraction they share?
I loved the dynamic between these two, even if sometimes I wanted to smash Liam’s head into a wall…, and I also adored also the dynamic between Lauren and Alex, her best friend on the paddock. Honestly, even if I have read multiple F1 romances already and, I really enjoyed reading this story and getting to know all these characters. Highly recommended! (Even if you’re not a big F1 fan, I’m sure you’ll enjoy this book).
There were also some things that, as a big F1 fan, I didn't quite enjoy as much as I would have liked. For example, I would have loved to read more about the F1 world, the races, the paddock... but I think also that, this way, people who don't enjoy / don't really care about F1 would enjoy the romance, the story and the characters, so I get it.

¡Hey, gentecilla!
this book was so good! i loved all the characters and i loved the plot. this is my first motorsports romance and it is safe to say i will read more! i don't know a lot about motorsports but i am intrigued.
i am giving this book 3.5 stars because this book seemed a little underdeveloped. there were some grammatical errors and i felt that some details got a little lost in translation. but in the end i am proud of this author for dedicating the time and energy into this book. a great book for a first time author!
the slow burn was burning! i love a good slow burn and this delivered perfectly. the characters were so likable and enjoyable to read about. so overall a great book! a quick read but a good one. i have been loving all the books i have read in 2024
tropes: 🩷 friends to lovers 🏎️ motorsports romance 📚 book girlie (author) x formula 1 driver
I was lucky enough to be selected as an ARC reader for this book. Sadly I only just got to it as I lost my kindle charger.
1 star may seem harsh and I apologise but I really struggled, I didn’t finish it because I couldn’t read anymore.
The way it reads is as if it’s been written in another language and then directly translated into English. There’s many grammar mistakes and spelling mistakes.
It must take a lot of work to write a book and my understanding is there is only a small team behind this book, but unfortunately it’s not for me.
I have been a formula one fan my entire life (26 years 👍🏻) and it’s just didn’t have any of the lingo, and there’s so much going on at races, there just wasn’t much description of the scenes! I couldn’t picture any of it.
Thank you Hannah for the opportunity to read this book, I’m sorry this probably isn’t a review you expected.
UPDATE:
So I just started to reread Throttled by Lauren Asher and it’s literally the exact same start to this! Unrevealed is a carbon copy of Throttled! Throttled is the OG so it really saddens me to see someone has directly copied it!
I was excited for this book because I love F1, but I just couldn't get into it? The tone of the book, their conversations, etc. was just odd. They didn't even seem that into each other, and they were both just very awkward, like a romcom without the comedy-part landing.
There were a lot of little errors, and I didn't like how when characters spoke different languages, there were no translations, and while that works on Kindle, it does not in paperback?
Champagne, trophies and national anthems. Crowds, cheering for the World Champion. This is what we can find at the end of the F1 season, the famous Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. But the only thing Liam Calvetti is interested about is Her. A girl in the crowd with a butterfly earing and a magnificent smile. Lauren Harper has lived under the shadow of her brother, the great racing driver. And she longs to be someone else. Someone on her own and her dreams almost came true when she became a bestseller author. But now she has to find her new inspiration in this strange new conditions with this strange but handsome new man in her life. But in the F1 world everything is temporary. The question is - is love also temporary? This book.... I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE PLOT. Liam is the ultimate book boyfriend and his confession....Goood, he was so sweeeeeet😫😫❤ The way he calls her Butterfly because of his Mum and how he always hangs out with her at night just because he knows that she doesn't want to be alone. PERFECT. His lines, his arrogance and the words he tells her....masterpiece. The sentences when Liam described Lauren and vice versa were phenomenal. I really believed in their love. It was obvious they were crazy about each other from the beginning. Bonus points about the F1 content and that I got to experience a couple of races through the book. Lauren felt really close to me with her anxiety from crowds and people's opinion and on top of that she's also a successful author. Just like I hope to be one day. The characters have real human emotions and you can connect with them. The fear of not reaching up the expectation, the fear of failure. I also really liked Nate's and Alex's banter and they put some diversity in the book. I cherish a good enemies to lovers and they have the perfect base for it. There were a lot of moments where I just smiled stupidly while reading and even kicking my feet in the air. Especially in the last few chapters. I like that there was a conflict to show us that not everything is flowers and roses, sometimes love is challenged and we have to fight for it. The book really has potential and the author even more. I know that with every book our writing style evolves and becomes a thousand times better so I'll be cheering Hannah up and will be waiting for her next books. This won't be the first and the last🥰

I was honoured to receive an ARC for this, and let me tell you, I sped through it. It was amazing.
Here’s just a few things that really stuck out to me:
- I love the playlist - Loved the bromance between Nate and Liam - I loved the way that a gay F1 driver was included, although I wish we could’ve seen more of him - I love how close Nate and Liam are with their sisters - That prologue made me emotional - A Reputation girl being best friends with a folklore girl is just lovely, truly something special - Alex is the greatest friend a girl could ask for, I loved her. I also enjoyed how she tried so hard to keep the boys in line. - I could fully relate to Lauren, not just because of the writer’s block, but also because of her anxiety in certain social situations
Thank you so much Hannah for sending me the ARC!

I absolutely loved this book!! If you are a fan of Taylor Swift, Lauren Asher, and Formula One this is perfect for you! Truly a five star read and would definitely recommend to pick it up you will not be disappointed.
While I had a good time reading it, this one is a 3 stars because I felt like some of it was a bit too on the nose? BUT if you like pining, slow burn, brother’s rival trope, and Formula 1, this book is for you!
'She turns back at me, and I feel it in me – Like I always do when she is present.
The feeling of my heart racing at 300 km/h like I am in my race car but in that feeling, the track is never ending and I don’t mind one bit of being in my race car forever. Not when that feeling leads me to her.'
*****
Thank you so much to Hannah for giving me the oppertunity to read this early eARC of Unrevealed.
After writing her first book, Formula 1 driver Nate thinks it's a good idea that his sister Lauren will acompany him to the circuits for the next season so she can take some time off and focus on her next book. But when they are in Abu Dhabi for the last race of the current season, Lauren bumps into Formula 1's upcoming star Liam Calvetti, Nate's best friend and closest rival on track.
When the new season begins Lauren is struggling with her social anxiety when walking around the paddock but soon enough she meets Alex, who does pr for the Aravis team, where Liam drives, and they instantly become besties.
She is also hanging out with Liam quite often, and Lauren is about to break her own rule of; being immune to a Formula 1 drivers charm.
This book was sooo good, I've read a couple of f1 sports romances after Throttled but Unrevealed is the first one for me that I almost loved as much as I did love Throttled. I've read an early unedited arc but for a debut novel it is such a great story and I can't wait to read it again once it's published!
The bathroom scene where they met Gisela was hilarious and it's too bad she isn't mentioned in the rest of the book, I think the 3 of them would have made a lot of fun.
ALSO A HOT LAP FOR A FIRST DATE, WHAT A DREAM!!!
I also giggled at the scene where Nate and Liam were gossiping in the press conference and couldn't stop laughing because it reminded me of the press conference video in real life where Norris and Ricciardo were having a laugh 😂
As a Leclerc fan who has watched Formula 1 for a couple of years now I could really see that Hannahs inspiration is based off Leclerc and she did really well in that.
So if you like brothers best friends, sports romances, I would definitly recommend this one!
well. i think it's only fair i leave a review now that the release date is so so so close by:)
"Unrevealed" follows lauren & liam, two people kind of lost in this world but who also know what they want from life, to succeed in their careers and... each other :D
i loved, LOVED, every bit of their dynamic although there were times when liam ( 😁 ) kind of pissed me off and i lowk wanted to smash his head in a wall but yk, semantics 😁. lauren my anxious bby:)🩵 lauren was such a relatable character, who struggled with real problems and somehow still managed to still enjoy this life at the fullest she could so you just know i'm trying to take inspo from her.
ALEX OMFG AGQJJSKQJDKESJFNWKFF she's my bbg ok. i absolutely ADORE her and all the other side characters smsmmsmsmsmm 🩷🩷🩷🩷

I was kindly given an ARC for this book! If you love F1 and Taylor Swift then this book is for you!
Tropes include- friends to lovers, slow burn, golden retriever mmc and brothers best friend!
We follow the story of Liam and Lauren, Liam is the golden boy of F1 who is the rival but best friend of Lauren’s brother. We see their journey blossom in the true (strangers to) friends to lovers fashion!
Their story is the classic slow burn romance that we always love with a sprinkle of miscommunication to keep us on our toes. We get to see the up and downs, but mostly the ups, of their relationship and how it blossomed!
Although I did feel like it went a little bit fast at some points it was a quick and easy read with a few spice scene (which never hurts) plus the mouth on Liam, somebody call an ambulance!
My favourite part of the book was when we found out why he calls her butterfly and that was in honour of his mum as she used to say that butterflies are the most beautiful things to exist hence him calling Lauren that (I squealed when I read that bit)
—2 stars this is a completely honest review, nothing here is meant to throw off anyone from the book! i think you should all give it as a shot as you could absolutely adore it <3
i had a few issues which is what led to the book being a 3 star, now a 3 star is still a good rating, there was just some reasons it wasn’t a 4 or 5 star for me, personally.
i love the characters and the found family within this book. all of the characters are so individual to themselves and have their own personalities and interests, which i loved!! i think the storyline was so fun and i loved every moment of it in that aspect! the prologue tugged at my heart strings, honestly. i love how the story ended although there were some things i didn’t quite enjoy.
the way Lauren & Liam spoke about each other way so beautiful. their quote were so heartwarming and they’re some of my favourite quotes i’ve ever read!
i feel like the ending was kind of rushed in a way. i don’t like how the 3rd act breakup, more conflict than breakup, was dealt with. i feel like it was just kind of out of no where. if i was lauren, i wouldn’t have just accepted it and moved on that quick, i would’ve been hurt that it was ever a decision in the first place but that’s my personal opinion.
i feel like i needed more detail for a lot of this book. whilst reading, i felt like the writing was straight to the point with minimal, which could be exactly what you’re looking for! but personally, i wanted more details on a decent amount of things, so these things added up is what has made the rating lower for me.
again, this is all due to personal preference and i would still highly recommend!
Thank you so much to Hannah for the arc, I flew through this and really enjoyed it💗
This was such a sweet, cute romance and we alllll know i LOVE the brothers best friend trope! there is deep topics in here but i appreciated how it was written and how it added alot of depth to the book🫶🏻
Okayyy so….. formula 1 book? SIGN ME UP. We follow Liam and Lauren and they are just perfect for each other, i absolutely fell for Liam🥹 their development was so so lovely to read and i felt like I knew them both so well. i loved this so much and the Taylor Swift references were so fun aswell! If you love formula 1/ sports romance and brothers best friend be sureeee to pick this up! I cannot wait for more books in this series and universe🩵✨
🦋strangers -> friends -> lovers 🏎️formula 1 🦋slow burn 🏎️brothers best friend 🦋he falls first 🏎️ golden retriever mmc
Spicy Rating: 2/5 Overall Rating: 3/5 ~ This is my first Formula One romance and I will say that this was a great book to start. A lot of the reviews talked about Hannah's writing style and the errors that were made but considering it is her Debut Novel, I am not expecting it to be perfectly written with ZERO errors. For her very first book, I am deeply impressed. Definitely got me into my F1 romance era for sure. The concept and plot of the book was good. I wasn't a 5 star read for me but I generally enjoyed it.
I was so excited to read this book and the storyline seemed really intresting but the writing was on a level of a wattpad story and it was honestly so short and a bit boring that I couldn't give anything more than two stars
Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed this book but it was just too much of a slow romance, also some of the sentences or words didn’t make sense it was like the editing process was done in a rush. Also felt very similar to another formula one inspired romance I’ve read.
Has many grammatical and punctuation errors that distract from the story due to having to reread the sentence multiple times to understand what is suppose to be said. Thus said editing was sloppy but was a decent short read.
Such a cute and adorable book ❤️. As a die hard swiftie i ate all the references up and loved the book even for because of them. I need to Liam in my life.
