Easily the most boring book about running I have ever read. The reader’s voice was like nails on a chalkboard. How did this have 4.9 stars on Audible? Do they score out of 100?

2,5 stars If you are looking for the basics, this is your book. But if you want a real impression of what running an ultra is like, emotional en mentally, i suggest you look further.

a great read

I really enjoyed this book. It was insightful and informative plus the information mentioned could be determined it was by experience and of course a few references, to back up those experiences. The author gave practical ideas and a lot inspiration for runners to go the level of “ultra”. I’d recommend this read to anyone wanting to go beyond 26.2 miles.

Good book for those brand new to running in general or hesitant to start running on trails. Advice jumped around a bit too much for me and would have been able to connect to the book more with more personal stories included versus just advice.

Trail Running

The guide to trail running. This year, I’ve transitioned from marathons to higher mileage races. I’m getting that bug for a 100 miler, and I’m running one in May. Like Sarah says, once you run your first race , you’ll get the bug for longer distances!

A very good introduction book about trail running.
It's the basic information for a new beginner.
No details have been talked about. Like I said, It's the introduction book.
