He was mine. My assistant. My friend. My lover. Mine. And I had a rather savage urge to claim him.Quinn Hastings dreaded returning to Coal’s Lake for her sister’s wedding, so she asked her assistant, Mark Charming, to attend as her fake date.

She needs to put on the performance of a lifetime to convince her sister that she was happy “all alone in Philadelphia”—even though it didn’t always feel that way—and to show her hometown that she was a stronger, more confident woman, who was doing great despite the best efforts of her high school bully.

All the alcohol would be needed to survive what was sure to be a long, long night—cheers to the new Mr. And Mrs. And cheers to taking risks and no regrets. There is some bullying from a secondary character and minor mention of past abuse in this story.

Based on this book right here, I was sad that I missed Ben and Emory's short story in the 14 days of Smutmas, but I am so excited that i will have the chance with their extended story...

Now this story here!! Let me tell you, how hot & fluster worthy this book made me!! Whew!! Now this book, I would definitely read if it was a full length, but it gave me everything that I needed to be okay with just this short story as well. It was a cute, assistant-boss relationship type book and I was all for it.

A quick and spicy read! I mean, the dance floor scene? That was hot. I liked how sweet Mark is and how he is not actually pretending. I wish we could read more of their interaction at work especially after spending the night together.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

THIS IS BOOK TWO FROM FOURTEEN SHADES OF RED VALENTINES DAY ROMANCE NOVELLA COLLECTION SERIES.

Fake Dating trope is one of my favorites. Combining it with the boss-employee trope was a cherry on top. It was so beautiful. I loved this story, and the spicy was 🥵. I can't wait to read more from this author. I loved the setting of the story, and also loved how Mark stood up for Quinn, and avenged her. Oh, can't forget Emory's valentine's special drinks. That was such an amazing touch. Beautiful story.

okay i know it’s a novella which can only be so long but the lack of buildup/context to their relationship made it feel wayyyy too insta lovey. it was just an insanely weird jump from their professional relationship to them at her sister’s wedding. i skimmed thru the last 20 pages i honestly just wanted to get the book over with

i’ve said this in the past, but reading about yt ppl feels like such a culture shock 😭😭 i would be insanely uncomfortable if i was a witness to their public displays… Astagfirullah

This little novella was short, but oh so spicy! Em and Ben are getting married! (You need to read ‘Say It Ain’t Snow’ to get that story.) Quinn thinking she can’t ruin hers and Mark’s work relationship because it’s perfect, but the tension and flirtiness is already there. It’s almost primal the way Mark claims his ‘fake date’ with his eyes. Throughout the reception their playfulness expands to something way more than Quinn thought would happen. The tension rises between the two before they can’t hold back from each other any longer and it’s pure animalistic. You must read for all the naughty bits! 😉🌶️🥵❤️ I highly recommend this novella from an up and coming indie author. Bella does it once again!

-This is a short novella that is interconnected with “Say It Ain’t Snow.” Only instead of Emory, this novella is about her sister Quinn. Quinn is attending her sister’s wedding but brings her assistant as her fake date. Only problem is he’s not and has never turned on his full charm on her.

-This was fast and fun. I absolutely loved learning more about the characters and want to know more!!! This is the perfect novella for Valentine’s Day.

It was refreshing to read about a female boss with a male assistant as it is usually the other way round. A fast paced and fun read.

Such a fun, quick, spicy novella!! I loved the fate dating trope so much!! This truly did the trope justice. I love the chemistry between Mark and Quinn! Also love that she is his boss and he was her assistant. A nice break from the normal boss/assistant trope when it being in reverse!

Normally it is the MMC that falls in love with his assistant but I loved how Quinn was the boss and Mark was the assistant. Mark said all the right things to make Quinn feel as special as she was on a day she didn't feel her best.

Mark telling her everyone was staring cause she was beautiful 🥺

Bella Leigh Michaels really pulled out the stops with this friends to lovers romcom. I'm not usually a friends to lovers fan, but Quinn and Mark made for a great read. The Fake Wedding Date was packed with emotion and spice. Quinn’s little sister Emory made for a nice comic relief and made me laugh because I, too, am a little sister. It's definitely another great Valentine's read.

This story is fast paced, romantic, spicy and more, I loved every minute off it, and couldn't put it down once I started. Great story line and wonderful characters. Highly recommend.

Quinn is attending her sister's wedding, but her sister is worried about Quinn being alone and so far away from her. But Quinn is happy the way things are and trying to convince her sister of that is hard. Her sister puts her in a spot and she blurts the first name that comes to mind her assistant mark. Her sister don't believe her. Quinn is flustered and needs to find mark to fill him in and be her fake date and sleeping partner 😂.

Mark obviously agrees and throughout the wedding he making her sweat and making her feel all kinds off stuff just by his stare. She's so confused and has no idea why he's turning up this fakeness.

As their night continues Quinn feels it more and so does her lady bits, she needs a drink. She's determined to name all the special cocktails her sister set out for the wedding.

As her sister is getting ready to throw the bouquet Quinn goes hiding in the bathroom. On her way back Quinn bumps into the last person she ever wanted to see, the one that made her life hell in this town.

He's still a idiot and is also major now, he still has it out for Quinn and threatens her. But mark saves her and wants to know what the hell happened. He's so mad but out off respect listens to her when she says leave it.

They continue there night and things get more heated, and she ends up so embarrassed ( if you know you know). He comes after her and asks her what the hell that was all about and he tells her how he feels. She needs to take that chance and stop guarding herself. Next thing they are in their hotel room ripping clothes off each other and damn it was hot 🥵. Such a great novella. I can't help feel I want more off Quinn and mark.

In "The Fake Wedding Date," Quinn, an advertising executive known for prioritizing others, finds herself immersed in the celebrations of her sister's wedding. . In an attempt to evade unwanted questions and pressures about her own love life, Quinn makes up a story about being romantically involved with her assistant, Mark, who just so happens to have joined her at the wedding. Mark willingly plays along with this story, setting the stage for a perfect fake dating scenario.
As the night unfolds, Quinn discovers that the emotions between her and Mark are more genuine than she initially believed. "The Fake Wedding Date" is a concise novella that expertly weaves tension and anticipation throughout its pages. The narrative builds up steadily, and when the spice finally hits, it hits hard! Personally, I LOVE the 'he falls first' dynamic, and when coupled with the element of fake dating, the story becomes a winner.
This novella is a treasure trove of favorite tropes, skillfully executed with engaging writing that captivates the reader from start to finish. I found it impossible to put down, devouring each page eagerly. "The Fake Wedding Date" delivers a satisfying blend of romance, tension, and well-crafted storytelling, making it a delightful quick read!

Another Spicy and Emotional Novella by Bella Leigh Michaels!

Spicy 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Again, Bella Leigh knocks the emotional plot right out of the park and hits that spicy home run!

Quinn and Mark are colleagues, moreover Boss and Assistant but more importantly they’re friends. During her sister’s wedding (Emory & Ben, Say It Ain’t Snow), her sister isn’t badgering her per se…but is worried about her being “alone” now that she’s moved away. Quinn slips up and says she’s been sleeping with her assistant, just to get her off her back…this starts the night of her seeing Mark looking at her differently after she tells him. She admits in her head that she’s wanted him from day one and the steamy looks she’s receiving now that she told him of her slip up, alights her on fire! As the night progresses…things only heat up from there…two words - dance floor - 🥵

Trust me, those two words are enough for you to pick up this book and jump in head first. There’s more of course and not even the best scene in it, but just read it!! Spare some time because you won’t want to put it down!

Bella Leigh has a way with words…I was a little hot under the collar myself. Check out her other two books when you’re done, you won’t be disappointed!!

Spice 3.5🌶

Tropes:
- Fake Dating
- Friends to Lovers
- Boss/Assistant (She’s the boss)
- He Falls First
- Spicy Novella

This is a very short, spicy Novella. I loved how he fell first and showed it to her. Through his stare, making her sweat. I would love to have seen more between these two. How did they work together? How did he treat her at work? I just wanted to see more between them. The spice was spicy, and I loved that. The scene on the dance floor... wow.

Quinn talks her assistant into being her fake date for her sisters wedding. Emory (her sister) thinks Quinn is lonely away from their small town. Quinn doesn't want to be anywhere near the town she grew up in. She had a bully there that made her life hell. Quinn runs into him at the wedding, and he threatens her. Mark, of course, begins protective of her and wants to know the story. Which she tells.

She doesn't understand how, at this wedding, Mark is taking the fake dating very seriously. They start to feel things for each other. Although Mark has had feelings for Quinn. That comes out at the wedding. Once they get together... fireworks 🎆 It's hot and spicy 🔥

If you're looking for a short spicy read, pick this book up. I received this as an Advance Readers Copy. This is my honest opinion.

Title: The Fake Wedding Date
Author: Bella Leigh Michaels
Star: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🔥🔥🔥

As one would’ve guessed, I’ve fallen for yet another one of Bella Leigh Michaels’ works. The Fake Wedding Date was such a fun and good read with just the right amount of spice. I truly enjoyed reading this short novella which I truly wish had been just a tad bit longer. *cough cough* Talking to you Bella lol

Now, I say this with absolute love in my heart for these two but like…. Quinn and Mark drove me INSANE for a good portion of this novella. I mean their chemistry and tension was so freaking obvious and intense and they were acting like it was nothing! It was truly infuriating. Fortunately for all parties involved, they finally gave in though it took a bit longer than I would’ve liked. With that said, and even though it drove me crazy, the wait was needed and definitely worth it.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Michaels has a wonderful gift in creating amazing characters and stories and don’t even get me started on the magic she brings to the page during the spice scenes. Some of the things Mark said in this novella had me freaking fangirling like crazy and wanting to take Quinn’s place in the story. Heck I’m not sure how that woman didn’t say F-it sooner with him. I would’ve buckled so quickly.

Anywho, enough about my weakness for men like Mark with their dirty-mouth, flirty comments, and protective side… I really enjoyed reading The Fake Wedding Date. The only thing I was missing was getting some of Mark’s POV throughout the story because like I would’ve killed to know what was going through his head while everything was taking place. All in all, I recommend reading The Fake Wedding Date when it comes out as well as any and all Bella Leigh Michaels work because it is 100% worth the time if you ask me.

Quinn Hastings dreads her sister's wedding in Coal's Lake, prompting her to devise a plan with her assistant, Mark Charming, to be her fake date. The goal: convince everyone she's content being "all alone in Philadelphia." However, as the night unfolds, Mark reveals a side of himself that transcends their professional relationship, adding unexpected layers to the performance. With the new Mr. and Mrs. festivities underway, Quinn finds herself navigating a blend of faux romance, genuine emotions, and the shadows of her past.

In this short but engaging story, the chemistry between Quinn and Mark is a delightful dance between professionalism and unspoken attraction. The narrative skillfully weaves humor and depth, providing a perfect escape for those seeking a brief yet compelling romantic encounter. While leaving readers yearning for more, it encapsulates the essence of a fleeting connection, replete with risks, revelations, and an undercurrent of genuine emotion. A Fake Wedding Date is a charming read, offering a glimpse into the author's storytelling finesse and leaving readers eager to explore more of their literary repertoire.

I LOVE FAKE DATING STORIES!!!
Mind you, it’s usually through fanfiction. This is my first trope that isn’t a fanfic! Crazy!

I’ve never read the story that her sister and brother-in-law is from but I feel like that story would be just as awesome!

Why?! BECAUSE I LOVED THIS NOVELLA!!!

Why?! BECAUSE IT WAS AWESOME!!!

Why again?! Just because!!! That’s why!!!

This one and Corrupting Cupid now tie for first place!!! Will there be more?! I don’t know!!!

I feel like Mark Charming stepped into our world after being in Storybrooke. IYKYK!!! Does he know David Nolan?! Hahaha xD

Anywho, I love Mark and Quinn!!! Omg, they’re so cute together!!! Who cares if she’s his boss!!! Life is too short! Go for it girl!

I LOVED the storyline and their connection. Is there going to be a novel about them? Hopefully!

HATE Charles!!! That is all. The ending was perfect!!! IYKYK!!!

If I could change one thing? To make it longer! I need more! Lots more! Do they get away with it at work?! Will they do stuff in her office?! No idea!

They’re such likeable characters, in my opinion.

Did I love certain scenes? Yes!!! So good!!! 😉

This is a definite ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! So good! I want more of them!

Sweet and spicy! This novella features Quinn, attending her sister’s wedding. A bit of a workaholic, Quinn is single and it looks like things will be staying that way as she continues to put work first. But she wants to put on a brave front for her sister, Emory, the bride, and cooks up a scheme to bring her assistant, Mark, as her date. Problem is that although it’s a fake date, Quinn is for real into Mark.

This novella is fast paced and fun. It’s actually a follow up to another novella by this author (Bella Leigh Michaels) called Say it Ain’t Snow, which I will have to read now that I’ve enjoyed this one. Michaels’ writing was great - I really felt the characters were multidimensional, dialogue was realistic and characters’ actions and reactions made sense. I liked Quinn and was rooting for her, wanting things to go the way she hoped they would. There were some very sweet moments and some spice! I don’t read a lot of romance but was very pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this one. It was a quick read and would recommend it as a Valentines Day treat to yourself!

The fake wedding date

❤️ The Fake Wedding Date is a fantastic contemporary romance. There are multiple tropes woven together to create this amazing story. Boss/coworker/friends to lovers, fake dating, protective possessive MMC, and so much passionate spice.
❤️ This is my third book by Bella Leigh Michaels and I was not disappointed. What I love most about her writing is that I find myself emotionally invested in the characters, gasping, panting, blushing, giggling, thigh squeezing and screaming right along with them. Completely captivated by Quinn and Mark from start to finish with emotional vulnerability and combustible passion. I love when the characters have that spicy side that’s finally able to show itself.
❤️ There is so much plot in this novella we get a full story in this short amount of pages. I would definitely be happy if we got more Mark and Quinn cause their chemistry is sizzling hot. I absolutely love The Fake Wedding Date by Bella Leigh Michaels and highly recommended this and her other books.
