Heather's latest case with have you on the edge of your seat. Having had the privilege of reading all of the Glenville series, I can say this is my favorite. Heather and Gabriel have really grown and come into their own. I love how the two interact and are best friends. There is never any doubt if they have each other's backs. For the first time they spend the majority of the book working apart but each of them rise to the occasion. Heather has done well teaching Gabriel how to be a detective and he has become an incredible man who is willing to learn from his mistakes and make the world a better place. Julius should be given a medal for how he is there for Heather. A truly good man, his love for Heather is apparent in his every word and action. While I am not ready to say good-bye to Heather or Gabriel or Glenville, The Good Marriage tied up all the loose ends and leaves some options for maybe revisiting if Ms. Kent ever wants to write more.

The most important case in the series happens in the last book, this is the case that Heather has been dreading all of this time, and with good cause, involves two murders (of course) but the main suspect is her ex-husband, did he indeed kill these women?
What a rollercoaster of emotions you have reading this book, i loved it, and I'm sad that this is the end of the series, I am not ready to say good bye to Heather. Maybe we will get new stories from her new place of work? One can only hope.

a fitting ending for Heather!!!!

I will miss Heather and Gabriel so much. They are salt of the earth characters and being along for their stories has been such a treat. Well done, Cara. A robust, succinct ending for both of these beloved brain children of yours.

Not Impressed

I thought this was going to be an edge of your seat mystery/thriller about a serial killer. In a way I suppose it was but after the fact. I was not impressed by the characters of the detectives. I did finish it.

Incredible!

While on holiday to London, Heather Bishop and Julius try to solve a cold case while her partner Gabriel tries to solve a separate but connected cold case in Seattle. The clues lead them both in directions they didn't think were possible.
