Since Secret Submission FINALLY reveals the secret admirer of Mistress Julie,i was over the moon when the ARC landed in my inbox.
And since it’s been a secret for so long,my review will be a little different this time.
I will say this sub is perfect for her,and she is perfect for this sub.
The Doms and subs,once they got over the surprise,feel the same.
Her family,once they got to know the new love in her life,feel the same.
Julie’s ex may not agree,but who cares about him?
Julie does need some time adjusting to the fact that her sub is nothing like her ex,though…..but her sub will help her with that,right?
In the meantime,Noelle is still causing trouble,Zach and Kincaid are dealing with a spot of trouble,Cassidy’s ex is still being his evil self,and lots of other stuff is going on……
All in all, i cán say this was a véry entertaining story from start to satisfying finish,and totally worth the wait.
A story that did more than solve the mystery that’d been bugging everyone at Marquis for so long.
Because it made everyone happy to see Julie and her sub find the HEA they deserved,including me.
All i need now,is to find out more about Zach,Kincaid and their mystery third in Third Wheel……

Ooooohhhh the secret is finally out. Who is Mistress Julie's secret admirer.
I love this book. It fulfilled all of my wishes for this story.
We have been teased for a while as to who the gift giver is. Shrouded in mystery.
This is the perfect culmination of all the build up.
I do not want to give anything away, so all I can say is. The characters are beautifully written, paying respect to all that has gone before.
Mistress Julie is lovingly completed with attention to the detail and her character traits.
Her admirer, when revealed, is perfect. The back story detailing the craft behind the mystery.
I love this world and have been looking forward to this book.
I am so happy to have read this story and will definitely be reading it again.

Wow! I absolutely loved this book. Amazing characters and wonderful plot. Very beautifully written and easy to read.
Mistress Julie finally finds out who is her secret admirer. He’s the perfect submissive for her. They just click and understand each other and each other’s needs. Her family loves and accepts him. Only her ex seems to disagree with them, but who cares about him?
Their relationship progressed perfectly and almost smoothly. I loved their chemistry and passion. They were made for each other.
Overall I loved this book very much. If you’re looking for a dom/sub, romantic suspense then you’re going to love it.

The secret admirer of Mistress July is finally revealed! To be honest, i wasn't really surprised as I figured out the identity of the SA a book or two ago, but it was still fun to read.
After admiring her from afar for over a year, the secret admirer is finally ready to reveal their identity. Mistress July has been burned in the past by her ex husband that was also her submissive. Trusting her SA that their heart is in their right place does not come easy. The fact that her mom doesn't accept that her divorce is final and insists on shoving her ex down her throat at every opportunity definitely does not help.
No thanks to their meddling friends, the couple find their way to HEA (after a few bunps along the way). I love the snarky dialogs between the Marquis group of friends. The bet placed by Law & Q cracked me up, and i hope we get to see who won in the next book. The book is hot enough to scorch your fingertips, so make sure to read it with a glass of ice water on the side! I'm sorry to see the series ending (the next book will be the last installment) but I'm very excited for thd new series that is about to come out and i can't wait for Cassidy to find her HEA. And for the love of god, can someone finally show Noell the door?

Mistress Julie's secret admirer is... nope, that's why it's a secret! Julie is a Domme who loves what she does but is saddened by the prospect of not finding one to call her own forever. While a 'normal' relationship can cause anxious moments, one that is considered 'not normal' may cause even more. Add in an ex-husband, family pressures, and emotional trials, and her future may not be so smooth. The revelation of her secret admirer is one that needs to be read to be discovered.

So I probably should have read the book before this one, but ooops!
Other than not being in the loop as some of the other readers were, I enjoyed this book. It was a nice dom/sub story that kept my attention the entire time. Finding out who Mistress Julies secret admirer was a wild ride.
I have never read a book where she was the dom, so this was a nice breath of fresh air. And he was the perfect sub for her!

Oh my, I didn't expect that person to be the secret admirer but they fit together and I am so happy for them.
In this book we see a different side to Julie, not only the mistress but the woman in all her complexity.
Really enjoyed this story..but that ending..I need the next book ASAP.

Not my favorite in the series. Worst kept secret if you ask me. Author became really predictable with pairing the characters and stories around them. We already know who main characters in Third wheel are and I can guess how the story will roll out. But back to this book. I did not like Julie very much. She was immature and bit self centered. Connor was sweet but kind of meh. Also there was very little of actual story. I will read the last book but I think author needs just new and fresh inspiration. Or maybe I just need to change genre or maybe author. Who knows.

This is likely my last Golden Angel book in the BDSM world.
This series started out as some very hot action featuring adults who cared for one another. It's systematically turned into a bunch of high school behaving teens who hyper focus on word placement in simple comments and spend all their time intruding into each other's lives. Their friend group also includes a ridiculously narcissistic girl child who delights in causing angst.
This story is supposed to be about Julie and Connor, who have both waited a long time for their spotlight. Julie was previously a strong woman who helped others through some difficulties. In this story, she is unable to see her own very clear issues and instead points at Connor and her family as the problems. And she's a psychologist. (If you spent any time in the mental health world, this wouldn't be surprising but that's another story.) Connor is the lump who tries to figure out what Julie is thinking all the time. This is High School Angst 101. Instead of developing a romance between these two, the author continues the YA theme of "I need to blame others!" along with "I don't know what she/he wants!" Connor is left looking like a shapeless doormat. Julie is shown as a high-strung, damaged girl child who can't handle her own baggage. It's pretty easy to see she isn't so much a Domme as she is someone who just wants to control others. Not very attractive, and not what BDSM should be about.
And once again, the Noelle character shows up just for fun. If you've read the other stories, Noelle is a character with an emotional age of 12 who creates chaos. For a supposed bunch of well-adjusted adults in the BDSM world, this character makes no sense at all. These people actually burn time trying to figure out Noelle's damage. In the real world, where these adults are supposed to live, they would have jettisoned this person eons ago. For reasons I cannot understand, GA continues to feature this person in every story. This character has been written to ensure she isn't redeemable. She's committed some heinous acts against others without repercussion. I just don't get why GA consists on riding this little pony til the end. It's a bad bet.
I love GA's other series, and one of my favorite books of all time is "Hardcore Vanilla." Compare the adult characters in that book to the childish, YA folks in this series, and you'll understand my confusion and frustration. I can't continue with this series. If I could get my money back, I'd do it.

Unsatisfying read.
For a dominant, the female lead wasn't very dominant and failed to take charge quite often when she should have. There was too much focus on her issues and not enough focus on the male lead's journey to actual submission and relationship-building. And while the smut wasn't bad per se, after the first scene, it was focused more on teasing the male lead than dominating him.
Because of that, the female lead came off as an ineffective mess of unresolved issues and the male lead came off more as someone looking to follow someone else's direction in the bedroom than actually submit to them. And their ridiculous behavior at the party just reinforced both those things.
And there was two inconsistencies involving the cousin Sandra between this book and 'Legally Bound', a previous book in the series.
So it wasn't an enjoyable story, let alone a satisfying female dom/male sub romance.

Simply wonderful read, great characters and scenario that held me riveted throughout book
I have been waiting to read this book and have to say that I found it to be a simply fantastic read and since it’s been a secret admirer I simply wanted to say that my book was a riveting read and I will say have discovered the new love of her life that this sub is perfect for Mistress Julie.
The Dom’s and the subs once they got over the surprise and the introduction to her family is a little daunting but once the initial surprise has gone, they seem to feel as though he is the right man for her. Her previous partner may not be as agreeable but she really does not care what he thinks.
I found this to be a very well written addition to this series and know that other readers that have been waiting for tis book will not be disappointed.
I found this to be a highly entertaining read and was happy to see that Julie and her sub seem to have found the happiness they have been searching for and am sure other readers will look to future books by this author, Golden Angel just draws you right into the plot so easily and you find it impossible to put the book down until you finish.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

I didn’t think things could get any hotter than Master Asad, but boy was I wrong. Mistress Julie & ——— are smoking! They had me reaching for more than one glass of ice cold water to cool things down. Their physical dichotomy makes for a very attractive picture and their personal chemistry is a seamless mesh. Despite the Domme/Sub dynamic it is clear that they both have the ability to ‘care’ for the other, not being strictly tied down by those labels which added a sweet element to their story. I found myself solely engaged throughout the entire tale, eager for each twist and turn. Though the initial surprise was strong, there were more ‘surprise’ elements further in that took me down giddy paths as I revelled in my predictions coming true before my eyes. This secret has been a long time building and that anticipation was well met with revelation and satisfaction. Ever true to form, Angel builds up to the next story with a heart-pounding tease and I can’t wait to get some resolution for Zach & Kincaid. I just know it’s gonna be a doozy. This is my first time writing a review while avoiding the mention of a main character. The challenge was weirdly satisfying and who doesn’t love that feeling of holding a delicious secret, edging everyone’s own satisfaction and release.

Mistress Julie has had a secret admirer for a year, and now he’s ready for her to know who he is. Her friends are worried that it might escalate, especially after he sends a gift to her home. This is also when he realizes it’s time to let her know who he is, and to come clean about who he really may be.
Am I gonna tell you who he is?? Nope. You’ll have to read it to find out… But you will be surprised. There’s a lot about this book that I loved. A lot about all of the Stronghold/Marquis books that I love. The interpersonal relationships between the friends who are involved in the clubs are some of my favorite to read about. I love all of these people. I’ve read all o their stories and have enjoyed every one of them. This one is no different.. we learn more about Mistress Julie, and what makes her the way she is. When you read it, you’ll understand her more.
I think Golden Angel is one of the best kink writers I’ve read. She knows what she’s writing about and writes it really well. I am always comfortable reading what she writes. Maybe not every single scene makes me comfortable.. snicker.. but with the way she writes them.

Yeah, I recommend you read the earlier books in the series first.
There has been an ongoing set of incidents in the series where small gifts have been dropped anonymously at Marquis (the BDSM show/supper club) for Mistress Julie. Julie has appreciated the gifts but Master Law has been really freaked.
Anyways, the secret admirer reveals himself near the beginning of the book and then the rest of the book is the developing relationship between the two of them. There were some laugh-out-loud moments for me and a lot of simple enjoyment.
Nothing was earth-shattering. Just very well-written romance with well-described kink and erotica and two complex people navigating relationship-building. Mistress Julie dealing with her issues with her difficult mother and large and intrusive family and meddling ex-husband drives a lot of the plot. Her lover, xxx, (yeah, I am not giving that away) has to deal with the social and psychological aspects of male submission. Everything is very well done.
And plot hooks are set for the next (last, apparently) book in the series. And a hook for the connection to the next series.

I wasn't sure about this story; Julie is a Domme and my interest in that F/m dynamic is limited, yet Golden Angel has written an excellent tale which not only explores the female dominant/male submissive, but also the normal anxieties around the start of a relationship.
Julie has issues over her ex-husband, the way he behaved and the way her family continue to accept him despite her divorce and this raises questions about her introducing a new man into her life.
Two brilliant characters, an intriguing back story and plenty of angst and humour, plus characters we already know from her other Stronghold and Marquis tales.
Loved it so much, I had dreams about it.

The long wait is finally over for the identity of Mistress Julie’s admirer to be revealed and I was surprised but delighted with the name reveal.
This sub is the perfect fit for Mistress Julie and her the perfect match for this sub, loved their chemistry as they navigated this new relationship their story is so worth the wait, and the support from their friends and club members was one of the highlights of the book for me when they entered Stronghold for the first time.
But Mistress Julie has a big family who loves to get up in her business, an ex-husband who won't go away as her Mum cannot accept their divorce.
These parties may create bumps in the road but with the love and support of their family at Stronghold and Marquis this newest couple will find their way to HEA.
Noelle continues to make an appearance but with one more book in the series I am curious as to what is planned for her.
Recommend reading this latest book in the series.

Noelle continues to make an appearance but with one more book in the series I am curious as to what is planned for her.

The secret is revealed but you will have to read the book to find out! I am nit a real fan of F/m but putting that aside this is a story of discovery and love but there are a few bumps along the way. I did think Julie was a little OTT after the family visit, but on the plus side it did make her examine why she had reacted so forcefully. The support her sub received from friends and other subs at the club was heartwarming and a testament to the strength of the community. There are a couple of people who are involved other intriguing scenarios playing out for Cassidy as well as Zach and Kincaid and of course Noelle is being her usual self, will she get to tell her story?

As an avid follower of the Masters of Marquis series, I have been eagerly awaiting Secret Submission. And I was not disappointed. Mistress Julie has been receiving gifts from a secret admirer who somehow always seems to know her location. Her admirer finally decides to come forward, and allow Mistress Julie to make the next move. It is a beautiful and steamy love story with each of them having to struggle with past history and personal insecurities. This book encompassed love, steamy sex, friendships, and challenges as they figure out their place together. Loved it!

The jig is up....Mystery admirer is revealed!!!
The mystery is finally solved and I could not be happier. The long awaited secret admirer of Mistress Julie finally reveals themselves. When we find out who it is, everyone at Marquis is left with their mouths open. Mistress Julie's sub could not be more perfect for her. There are some bumps along the way, but in the end Mistress Julie gets what she has always been seeking all her life. A sub that "gets" her and gives her all the love and devotion she deserves.
When this story was over, I let out a very pleasurable "sigh". I am now excited to discover Zach and Kincaid's new addition to their relationship in "Third Wheel".

I guessed it a couple of books ago but it was great to get back with the Marquis fam and I do love a domme story.
Mistress Julie's sun is finally revealed. I loved the sub club. I wasn't convinced about the whole Law tiff and feelings after. And some of the falling out just didn't feel authentic to me. But it was still a great story.
To be honest though, it helps having read previous in the series to understand how all the characters fit, so if you haven't, read from stronghold, then masters of Marquis to here.
Though I can't wait for the next one. I feel like I've been waiting forever for that story.

In previous books in this series, Mistress Julie has a secret admirer who keeps leaving thoughtful gifts for her. She's been flattered up until one is left at her home instead of Marquis. Connor knows it's time to reveal himself but he's nervous because he's known as a Dom not a submissive.
Golden Angel continues to weave stories full of emotional connection and vulnerability. Her characters are real people with well developed personalities and it feels like I'm observing their lives not reading a story about strangers. The scenes are hot and the steam is real. As always, I can't wait for the next book in the series.

YES! I knew it and I'm so happy that Julie's secret admirer was who I thought it was. Okay teeny-tiny women, leave some of the mountain-men for the rest of us. This is a very sweet and sexy story, though there is quite a bit a family drama on Julie's side. It is nice to see a man so in tune, and willing to delve into, his own feelings and emotions. Also, Golden reminds us that all people are fallible and that even psychologists need a therapist sometimes. Oh, and that ENDING! Leaving us with a HUGE teaser for the next book and I can't wait. Golden Angel is a masterful storyteller.

I love Golden Angel's books because of her unique ability to create relatable characters with flaws and insecurities. She wraps them in a kink and makes the reader feel like they know them personally. Once again, we returned to the Marquis where Ms. Angel introduced us to Mistress Julie's secret admirer, and both characters' nervous anticipation hooked me. The surprises and growing pains they went through, as well as their personal growth, were a joy to watch. This was worth the wait. Congratulations, Ms. Angel, on another five-star review. You've created another hit!

Golden Angel has a gift of being able to make her stories so relatable and realistic. Julie and her admirer are both oh so relatable and wonderful. I honestly felt like i was at the club and getting to be a fly on the wall to see their amazing story unfold. If you’ve ever wanted to dip your toe into non vanilla waters but have thought it was all off the wall weird READ Golden’s books you will see that it is normal people who just are wired a little differently! A fabulous addition to the Marquis series!

3.75 stars - one of the better told stories in the series, with the same pitfals as the rest. Julie and Connor are a solid match. Some details are entirely gratuitous and others grossly unnecessary. The basic story is okay and Connor is what sells it... although as before, the voice acting is a plus for the male characters and and minus for the female ones, which is sad because Julie is a great character. So I'm going to guess reading the book might be better than going for the audiobook.

I almost passed this story by, thinking, I like strong, dominant, alpha males...why would I read this? I am so glad I did.

Okay, I'm gonna need "Third Wheel" as soon as possible. But enough about that. We finally find out who is Mistress Julie's secret admirer is and even though I had a suspicion, it was still a bit of a surprise. I loved seeing Julie and her secret sub FINALLY get connected. The story was such a good ride and these two are perfect for each other! It was funny in places and that just made reading it a joy! I've loved all of Golden Angel's books and this was no exception!!

Finally! The secret has been revealed. Just who is Mistress Julie's secret admirer? What will her reaction be? Oh I loved this book and was hooked. I will say I was shocked and didn't see it coming but after all is revealed I loved the way everything played out. This book was full of heat and steam, caring, defending against pushy parents, and more. I loved the way the friends all stood behind both Mistress Julie and the secret admirer.
