Some interesting and fun fairy tales and some dreadful ones as well! Also these are so violent! So gruesome! Wow! Still enjoyed myself though. It’s a treat to get to examine three different versions of the same tales and seeing the ways in which they change.

I read this for a History of Folk and Fairy Tales class, and not only are the essays interesting and informative, I was introduced to versions of fairy tales I had not read before, some of which (most of which) are far darker than I remembered.
