This is book seventeen of the Shrouded Nation series and fae prince Alex was abducted when the group tried to fight against the demigod Miletus in a temple in Atlantis. Alex has a seat on the Shrouded Nation’s Council, but none know he is actually a Fae Prince, except for Nishi, who he has finally convinced he is in love with her and that she is actually his fated mate. Shortly after they get back, Elijah calls them to report that hundreds of the Apollonians have been turned into Milens, without any sort of ceremony or stealing a soul. He needs their help to keep them from getting worse and never being able to come back from this forced change, and also to safeguard those remaining, who have not yet been turned. The timing of it seems to point to when Nishi, Alex, Eve, Faith and Tegan, managed to disrupt Miletus’ ritual in Atlantis, but now they have lost Alex and haven’t been able to find him anywhere. Miletus is managing to hide him with his magic and Nishi is getting desperate to rescue him. Nishi, Eve, Faith and Tegan decide they need to go back to Atlantis to find out what Miletus was doing there and how he disappeared with Alex. The King and Queen of the Fae recognise something about the spell he must have used and there may be a chance to follow that spell to locate Alex!
Instead the four women meet with Kostas, unknown to the leaders of Atlantis is Miletus’ son! He managed to escape them after throwing lots of dark energy at them, surprising them with his power. At least their visit to Atlantis may well end up with a new set of allies and allow them to help Atlantis survive, as it seems to be dying off, possibly from all the dark energy Miletus and his son left there, as he hid from mankind for centuries. More battles with Kostas and even Miletus will occur, as they find out that Miletus is seeking out other relics to power whatever evil spell he is planning, as well as feeding his followers with the souls of supernatural beings, which are more powerful to them than human souls! Tegan’s abilities to find and protect relics may be key. Eve has to face a horrible meeting with her parents when she needs an ingredient for a spell, only they may have and has to face being belittled completely by them. Nishi pushes back at them and then they face other issues with the Council heads, Lucinda and Caton, who think Nishi should be kicked off the Council and restricted form using the portal system so freely with her group. The four women are doing everything to protect supernaturals of all kinds and often at great danger to themselves, and certainly don’t get the thanks they should from those two poisonous fakes! They will succeed in part of their mission, but other parts will be much harder to achieve and will take more to happen. There will be joy but also loss as the women battle this continuing problem, but they have some further leads now to follow and have found out that Miletus isn’t invincible. I look forward to reading what comes next and can’t wait.

Nishi, supernatural-slayer extraordinaire, is on pins and needles. Mainly because her friend Alex has been missing for three days. Miletus has Alex and she needs to think about where he might take him. Miletus had started a ritual but Nishi and the others were able to stop it. It looks like it continued. Now The Apollonians are turning. Thank goodness not all of them. The ones who've been turned need to be contained. Meanwhile she needs to find out how it continued and why it didn't affect all of them. Eve comes up with a potion that could the Apollonians stay connected to their bodies. But she needs one item that she can get only from her mother. That meeting didn't go well until the threat of Carnell and his gargoyle arriving had her father going for the item. Now they're in a meeting with the council and once again Caton and Lucinda prove how stupid they are. Eve, Faith and Nishi head to the fae realm. Slowly but surely one step at a time they are getting closer to finding Alex and hopefully stopping Miletus.They find themselves back in Atlantis and meeting the Atlantians. Will they ever catch up to Miletus? Will they all survive?

In Ravenholde, things are getting crazy again in the supernatural part of the city. Alex was abducted from Atlantis when they tried to stop the demigod, Miletus, and his Milens. Eve, Faith & Nishi and company are still working on trying to stop Miletus and how he wants to turn all of the Apollonians into Milens. Plus, the Sacred Sisters want to find Alex. Caton and Lucinda are becoming worse, and the rest of the council are starting to get fed up with them. We get to meet Eve’s parents again. Dear God, it’s a wonder that she is so normal, they are pieces of work. Really. They just upset me. I’m so glad that Eve got away from Caton and that she has Hunter, Teagan, Faith, & NIshi and the rest. Carnell and Cal as well as the doppelgänger twins- Drin and Dran always make me laugh. I love them. A lot happens in this book. I mean a lot! The only thing I missed was that I wanted to see Eve and Nishi’s daughters sometime soon. And Carnell only knows how much longer the potion will last on Faith’s son. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

When her husband is kidnapped, our heroine is faced with some serious decisions. But she can't possibly do nothing, so it looks like she is going to have to take the hard choice.
This is book seventeen of the series. While it does okay as a standalone, there is a lot that has come before, so it will be more enjoyable if read in order.
This is a paranormal romance story with witches, vampires, shifters and the whole lot. The story is well written and easy to read with a plot that nonetheless has a lot going on. The setting is well developed and quite intriguing, and I enjoy seeing new elements of it like this spinoff. The characters are equally well done. I like our heroine as she is tough and smart, just the way I like them. Add in a plot with plenty of mystery and intrigue and, of course, magic. Overall, this was another excellent book and I look forward to more in the series.

Miletus is causing great suffering and death. Eve and her coven are desperately trying to find a way to stop his murderous dark magic reign. Eve finally finds where Alex maybe held, rescued Alex and escaped. Everyone gathered to plan attack on secret base high on mountain. They are greatly outnumbered, dark magic battles light magic, surprises, loss, kill many of Miletus followers but Miletus escapes to cause more chaos and destruction. Action packed, spellbinding and fascinating stories, they will be ready to fight and protect everyone from Miletus until he is defeated. I love this series, can’t wait for next book 🥰🤩.

Nishi is determined to find out where Miletus took Alex off to and rescue him. It's going to take the whole gang, especially when Miletus's son, Kostas, enters the picture. He seems to be able to dodge everything they throw at him. But they will persevere, Miletus is somehow able to turn Apolloians without any ceremony or soul stealing and Nishi is sure he is using the relic he stole to do it.
There is the usual drama with the plastic Barbie and Caton and Teagan seems to have embraced the kick butt attitude of the rest of the women and joins in on some of the fights. We get the 'pleasure' of meeting Eve's parents, ugh, and even another trip to the fae realm as well as a more extensive visit to Atlantis. Throw in an unpleasant saunter through a haunted mental institution and a mountaintop battle and you will be wondering these these ladies get their energy. This series is getting better as the story unfold. Alex is missing and the Sacred Sisters need help finding him. Nishi gets a call from a panicking Elijah who says his people are turning to Milens without a ceremony. Miletus has really stepped up his game hitting them from afar. They need to find Miletus, stop him and his nefarious plan and rescue Alex! This a a crazy good story and series. Tia and Brenda are truly talented author!! If you love an awesome paranormal story that has romance, suspense, drama, fighting, and saving the world look no more! This has is all, even the mean girl we all depise! Team Sacred Sisters all the way for the win!! A must read that I highly recommend.

This story is in Nishi's POV. I love her dedication to the Sacred Sisters, Artemis and more importantly to Alex.
I also love that there are many spoons in the pot. That there is more than one enemy to defeat while looking for Alex and anything to help defeat Milen.
Nishi realizes exactly what Alex is to her and recognizes her feelings towards him. Even though she lacks the courage to say anything to anyone.
Strategies are well thought-out. I love the twists, surprises and unconditional dedication of the other three in the coven.

What's different?
I'm a huge Brenda Trim fan, I've read everything, and a new Tia Didmon fan, just started one of her series, so it's safe to say I'm a fan of the Shrouded Nation series. The books are so good, I'm always surprised when it ends! I've noticed much more "descriptive" writing in the last couple of books and I'm wondering why that is. It's really not necessary and, in my opinion, takes away from the storyline. Maybe it's just me, but I find it distracting. It decreases my enjoyment in the story so then I don't rate them as high. Keep them coming though, ladies! I can't wait for the next one!

But she's determined to get him back and I love what happens when she goes to see his parents.
Those four ladies are out kicking butt again, saving the supernatural world and Nishi's internal and external quips are really good.
Actually all four of them can be really sarcastic at times and it's warranted.
Still loving this series.

Nishi POV - I was hooked back into the story right from the start and could not, did not, want to put this book down. I love all the characters and the storyline’s is exciting and Awesome!!!

While trying to find Alex, Nisha, Faith, Eve and Teagan find more than they were expecting. You find out that Miletus is trying to get his dead wife back and he is somehow making Milens without a ceremony. A very action packed, adventurous story. I loved that they went to Niagara Falls to find a relic. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it.

This series just gets better and better and there is always something going on. Alex has gone missing and Nischi and the rest of the sacred sisters have got to pull out all of the stops to find him whilst facing danger on many fronts. It’s another great adventure as our characters come together to save the day in a world fraught with drama, danger, twists and turns, chaos and enemies at every turn. It’s a great series with some wonderful characters and always has me coming back for more.

Nischi is hot on the heels of any hint that will lead her to the whereabouts of her Fae lover, Alex. Thwarted at every turn by Miletus, Nischi and the rest of the sacred sisters pull out all the stops to find Alex and stop the demigod. As usual, this one is filled with danger and adventure. Can't wait for the next in the series.

I love this series! there are so many characters to make a complete realistic (?) community of types and personalities. I started this series because I saw the area in the book was in Virginia and specifically Roanoke, where I lived most of my life. I am so glad to have found this series and Author. I am waiting patiently(trying) for the next in this series. I highly recommend this book

Wow, there is just so much going on, so many characters and the shy love story between Nishi and Alex is just so sweet. Non stop action and such a page turner I just can't wait for more!! I highly recommend this PWF series!.

Alex is taken by Miletus Nishi with Eve’s and Faith’s help having to find a way to get him back plus get an artifact. Eve had to make a potion to help the Apollonians and they had to save the Atlanteans also as usual had their hands full getting everything done, but not impossible got them. Good book!.

Hanging
I love this series so much that I wish it would never end. Waiting for the next release, hoping it won't be the last. Again, this one was difficult to stop reading, finding myself asleep with it still next to me. I became entrenched in so many scenes, feeling like I was there, in person!

I really enjoyed how good the story was, it uses the overall flow perfectly. The characters were everything that I wanted and worked with the previous books in this series. The authors worked wonderfully with what was happening. It left me wanting to read more in this series.

Still caught up in the action.
One thing confused me. In the battle at Atlantis with Miletus… He was taking Alex but Eve cast a spell and Nishi was holding his head in her lap at the end.
Now this book was the search and rescue of Alex. Excellent tales but that issue was confusing.
