It’s been one crazy thing after another ever since Sara was suddenly thrust into another world as a younger version of herself, but she’s continuing her journey with her friend Allen and her guardian, Nelly the Hunter. They’re headed for Nelly’s hometown, Hydrangea. If Sara wants to avoid any more trouble with the knights from the capital, her best bet is for Nelly’s family to become her guardians officially. Despite Nelly and Allen’s best attempts to lure her into the life of a Hunter, Sara’s started taking an interest in becoming an apothecary. In their travels, they stop at a town called Stock, which is having a major monster problem. In the chaos, they meet a man named Thedias, who turns out to be Nelly’s brother! Will Sara reach a crossroads in her life in her guardian’s hometown?
This girl is the female version of Mukohda from "Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill" with the exception of being bossed around by people instead of familiars.
Sara's journey continues. They’re headed for Nelly’s hometown, Hydrangea, with the hope of Nelly’s family becoming her guardians. The trip also gives her the opportunity to think about what she want to do with her life without simply doing what the adults tell her to do.
Much like previous volumes it is an entertaining slice-of-life story with entertaining characters. Sure, there are no real threats to Sara's power except those of her own making, but that should not come as a surprise this far in the series. In this volume we also get a bit on Nelly's past and showing growth on her part under Sara's influence.
In other words, a light-hearted entertaining read for those who like these kind of stories and a good addition to the series.
What was otherwise a fun, cute LN story was ruined by the MC, Sara, being a complete doormat who can't say no and make it stick. She had no agency, just went along with whatever she was told she would be doing despite her protests, then made the most of it and decided it was a good thing after all. So frustrating. And I'm pretty sure that she'll continue to have the same issue in the next book. Ugh.
Sara makes some interesting decisions in this volume, and experiences some character development. She and Allen get a new party member and the whole group, including Melly and Chris travel to a new town to meet Nelly's father, and her brother too.
Once I start reading, I can't put it down. I love sharing the adventures of Sara and Nelly even if vicariously. I'm looking forward to the next adventure!
There isn't a natural flow to the story, again it's the author forcing things to happen. At times it even feels like the story is made up of bits written by different authors.
