Fleeing from a life that has gone from bad to worse, this is the story of Erin who, as the book opens, is incredibly seasick on the Isle of Wight Ferry. A fellow traveller takes pity on her but he’s blind drunk! Thankfully, kind-hearted B&B owner, Queenie, in the spirit of Pepper Bay, provided a safe harbour, a change of clothes, and a warm bed. We learn more about how Erin, and the drunk stranger, and how they came to be on the Ferry
Erin has lost everything and is pinning her hopes on her inheritance being a life-changing figure. She has no family since her Mum passed and has never known any relations. Despite begging her mother for hints about her larger family, she’s never been told anything more than there is nobody. However, she has maintained a sunny outlook, guarding her heart from revisiting a pain that is not far from the surface. Erin was a great protagonist, and I enjoyed following her as she mustered up the strength to begin changing her fortunes.
Meanwhile, her fellow traveller is reeling from the discovery that his best friend has been having an affair with his girlfriend. The news being revealed at this best friend's wedding was the icing on that proverbial cake. Now, he’s definitely done with relationships. What he needs is a good friend, and Erin seems like a good candidate as she doesn’t know about his past. I do love friendship storylines, and this one is just perfect.
As I have come to expect, there are plenty of chances to catch up with characters from the previous books, but they are each introduced in a way that won’t have you feeling like you’re at a disadvantage if you’ve not read them all, or any, before. Like a good box of chocolates, enjoying just one is impossible but there’s plenty more to add to your reading pile.

I just love the Pepper Bay series! I get such a warm feeling every time I read one of the books in this series. This story can easily be read as a stand-alone story as it is all about Erin, new to the island. For those of us familiar with Pepper Bay it is so heartwarming to be back with the Silver family. Tyler is a real local and the youngest in the Silver family and has an instant connection with Erin after meeting her on the ferry. I loved watching their friendship deepen. The story is full of friends, family and being there for one another and set around Christmas time.
This book gave me all the feels!

The Pepper Bay series is quite an entertaining series. I've read quite a few books in the series, but not all, yet. These are a great comfort read with characters you can relate to and emphasize with.
The beautiful bay on the Isle of Wright sounds charming and I'm sure I'd feel right at home there.
This was a smile my way through it comfort read.
I'll admit I'm a sucker for sweet shops in books, it must be a comfort thing taking me back to my childhood.
: Erin Mason is stunned to realize she has inherited a sweet shop when she didn't even realize she had any family left. Not getting on the best with her mother she was never told she had a grandfather while he was living so that took away any chance, she had of knowing the man. After his death she inherits his sweet shop. That would be a terrible thing to have happen to you.
Traveling the short distance to Pepper Bay she investigates the shop and apartment above. Through her grandfather's sweet shop employee, she's able to make a decision on whether to sell the shop or reopen it. I enjoyed the fun interaction Erin had with her new friend, there are some pretty funny interactions. It was lovely seeing her fitting right in with the town's folks and his friends, it's as though she was meant to be there, but does this mean a new romance is in the works too? Books in the series aren't overly long, so you get a full and fun read but don't get bogged down when time is short. I keep making fun new discoveries while reading this series. Every time I read one of these books, I realize why this is one of my favorite series.

I love this little series and have enjoyed every book so far they are quick and easy reads and I love seeing past characters making an appearance but they can certainly be read as a standalone.

Erin has just lost her job and isn't very happy with her life it was just her and her mum but her mum died she has just found out that her grandad who her mum said died years ago has left Erin his sweet shop on the Isle of Wight. After getting seasick on the journey and getting thrown together with Tyler a local who she quickly becomes friends and gaining a family thanks to the silvers does she stay and give the sweet shop a go and see if she can make herself a new life or not.

I loved this one and loved how quickly Erin and Tyler become firm friends especially after he has found out his best friend and his girlfriend were cheating on him. I loved all the silver family returning too can't wait for my next trip to pepper bay.

My Opinion

The Pepper Bay books are such welcoming books with a great set of characters. At just over 200 pages Pepper Lane Sweet Shoppe was a quick and easy read. Erin has just inherited a sweet shop and following some changes in her life decides to have a go at running the place. Once again K.T. Dady has written a delightful book and I am always happy to return to Pepper Bay.

I just love this series, so was eager to see what was in store this time.

Tyler meets Erin on the ferry where he is drunk and she is extremely sea sick. Both of them are reeling from their respective situations and they strike up an unlikely friendship.

Tyler is local and part of the Silver family (who I adore, the last few books have been about them), whereas Erin has no family and no job and is feeling lost. Tyler takes her under his wing and she slowly gets integrated into Pepper Bay life.

It was lovely to see Erin's growth after finding she had inherited the shop, uncovered some family and had big decisions to make.

I loved both Tyler and Erin and how they helped each other and it was lovely to see the slow burn romance develop between them.

As with all the Pepper Bay books, previous characters make an appearance, so its lovely to catch up with their lives too, as they all seem like old friends now.

Back in Pepper Bay, Isle of Wight with the people who live in this delightful little town. Each book concentrates on one member of the town who finds that special someone, although it may not seem like that at first.

This book concentrates on Tyler Silver, youngest son of the owner of Silver Wish Farm, which comprises a garden centre, Christmas tree farm, stables, and cafe, each run by different members of the family.

Tyler works on his family's farm as well as at the Pepper Bay Sweet Shop. However, when the owner dies, his grandaughter takes over. Do her plans involve keeping the shop open, though? Erin hadn't known she had a grandfather until she received the solicitors letter telling her she'd been left the shop in will. It's a lovely story, set at Christmas time.

Whilst each book is a standalone story, they are best read in order of publication to preserve continuity of the characters and wider storyline.

I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

I was pleased that this next in the Pepper Bay series, centred on another member of the Silver family. You get to catch up on the members of the family you have met before and yet a whole new story arm opens up. Erin appreciates the strong family bonds between Tyler and his family and how they all look out for each other. It is something she has missed out on. Tyler is nursing a broken heart which is another thing which they have in common.
As Erin searches for a place she feels she can belong, she discovers more about the grandfather she did not know much about. As ever, this is an enjoyable read which gathers you up and carries you along. Added to this is a large sprinkling of Christmas magic.

Returning to Pepper Bay is one of my favourite things to do and meeting Erin was alot of fun, her and Tyler were so perfectly suited and Erin needed a family like the Silvers to finally feel settled in her life. I loved the Christmas feel of this book and the way in which Pepper Bay always ralleys around each other in times of need. Its always fun seeing characters from previous books dropping in and out giving us brief updates in every story

Lovely to back in Pepper Bay and to meet Erin who has inherited a sweet shop there. On the ferry she meets Tyler Silver who lives there and there is an instant attraction between them. Lovely to see characters from previous books popping up, the community feel is so heartwarming. A festive story with a lovely romance and an uplifting ending.

Another fab trip to Pepper Bay, and just as good as the rest I’ve read. I love how all the characters intertwine in each instalment but that we can read these as individual stories.

This time we meet Erin, lost in life after losing her job, home and family. She meets Tyler on the ferry, he rescues her from seasickness and takes her under his wing. It seems to escalate quickly from there, when she finds out he works in the sweet shop she’s just inherited! It’s such a lovely story of friendship and new beginning’s.

All the characters you meet in these books are so loveable that you want to move to Pepper Bay yourself. I can’t wait for the next one, such a great cosy mystery series you can’t help but binge.

A short trip to the Isle of Wight WILL change anyone's life!

I love this series and often wonder whether the author has pulled on places she's visited on the Island to inspire her books? Ryde and Newport both have olde world sweet shoppes that would fit the bill perfectly.

Pepper Lane Sweet Shoppe is another charming inclusion to the Pepper Bay series. It's set at the most wonderful time of the year and there's definitely a sprinkle of Christmas magic in the air for Erin.

The characters are delightful and I love how Dady has captured the Island's community spirit so perfectly, with everyone coming together in times of need.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit home and can't wait to return.

Oh how I absolutely love this wonderful series! The importance of family, friendship and community as well as new beginnings threads it’s way through this latest instalment. Erin Mason is surprised when she inherits the sweet shoppe that her Grandfather used to run. She turns up not knowing what to expect and not really expecting to stay long but is soon embraced by the residents of Pepper Bay. Characters from the previous books turn up in this and we get to know more about some of them, however their connections are all explained so this can be read as a standalone ~ although I highly recommend reading the whole series!! Seriously can’t wait for the next one!!
